Parran Dairy in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

This place has become a regular stop for us on our holiday for an after-meal treat. They make the ice cream on site and have loads of flavours plus extras like flakes and marshmallows to sprinkle on. As well as ice cream they do pizza, waffles, crepes and sundaes. Hidden gem with fabulous ice cream. The salty caramel is not to be missed!

We come to Perranporth every May holidays, and every time this is our ‘go to’ ice cream spot. Firstly, the ice cream is absolutely delicious, huge selection of flavours (gutted everywhere has stopped doing cherry Bakewell flavour though, it was the most amazing ice cream I have ever had). It is pretty much always busy but there are lots of staff on and you never queue for that long. BUT the thing that makes this place special to us is the care they take with food allergies. Our daughter has coeliac, we have to make a bit of a nuisance of ourselves in these places asking for the scoop to be replaced / cleaned in case of contact with wafers and cones containing gluten, daughter has a very low tolerance and quite severe reaction to gluten and wheat. You always worry, particularly with new, young staff, but EVERY year Perran Dairy is consistently brilliant. No matter how busy or which staff member, they immediately tell you they will cleanse / replace the scoop, change gloves, wash hands and ensure that the ice cream you’ve ordered is safe for you. It sounds like such a basic and obvious thing but it is SO reassuring and makes our daughter feel like she is well looked after and not a ‘problem’. Trust us Perran Dairy, not everyone is as on top of their game as you are, some are downright dangerously ignorant (Lobster Pot, Padstow e.g. AVOID!!!) keep doing what you are doing, and thank you for doing it so well. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Visited with our dog today as my wife loves the chocolate orange ice cream, shared a waffle with 2 scoops of ice cream the chocolate orange and the banoffee, both were delicious as was the waffle. Friendly service and love the fact we can take our pooch in. Only slight criticism was my cappuccino had more froth than coffee! That said love the ice cream

My partner and I visited today and were incredibly impressed the wide choices and flavours. Everything was lovely and the service was good too! Would definitely recommend to anyone near!

You can’t miss this place, it’s bright, colourful and has ice cream statues outside of it. It does all your traditional ice cream flavours, waffles etc you are in Cornwall though so we had to go for the clotted cream flavour which was lovely. Expensive but I feel prices are the same throughout Cornwall, I’m yet to see an ice cream cone under £4. Nevertheless, friendly staff and yummy ice cream close to the beach

Went here today as staying in perranporth, and heard great reviews, they were right ✅️, we had waffles and ice cream and they were delicious, service was great and all the ice creams looked amazing 👏. We had banoffee, clotted cream and pecan ice creams with our waffles. Also the ice cream is made on site so can actually see the product being made, awesome to see and no wonder it tastes so good .

Although nearly end of season and some flavours not available, those they were available were really great!

We visited during our holiday in Perranporth recently, I had a hot waffle with 2 scoops of ice-cream and my husband had a Knickerbocker Glory. He explained to the assistant that I have an allergy to strawberries, as these can be part of the waffle dessert, and they came to our table to check whether I had any other allergies. It was very busy on the day we visited and it took a little time for my waffle to be prepared away from any fruits, but this was worth the wait. The staff were very good at checking for any additional allergies/needs and ensured that I felt safe enough to eat my delicious waffle. My choices for the ice-cream were the only thing that could have improved it but with so many flavours I had a hard time getting it down to just 2 scoops. My husband had a huge smile on his face the whole time he was eating so I know he enjoyed his too.

Fantastic choice of flavours, so varied & interesting…it’s hard to choose! Friendly staff & always quick service even if there’s a bit of a queue. Well worth a visit. 👍

The ice cream here is divine and even though we do sample at the many other ice cream shops, Perran Dairy Ice Cream Parlour is the best. However on my last visit I opted to have the two scoop hot waffle with clotted cream, ice cream and cream were scrumptious but the waffle fell short unfortunately. I do not know if they make them but I think it was shop brought and heated up in a microwave as it was solid in the middle. Despite this I did manage to clear my plate so it can’t have been too bad. This is just my opinion and it will not stop me coming back for the ice cream again and again.

Came in for the Ice Cream & not disappointed, lovely and creamy and many flavours to choose from. The Sundaes 🍨 looked amazing and judging from the table across from us they were. The surprise was something else on the menu. The Pizza was A-Mazing! It was perfectly cooked, all fresh ingredients and a lovely thin base with a decent amount of cheese 🧀 😋 and great Pizza is rare these days so well done to the chefs! We will definitely be back for a few more scoops of Ice Cream but most certainly it is the Pizza that is headline act here and we can't wait for next time!

Popped in here for an ice cream whilst in Perranporth on a boiling hot day. There was a huge selection of ice cream flavours available. I went for the white chocolate but it was a bit flavourless so not the best

Called with family who were down on holiday from Scotland, their half term week, we had been recommended this place many times, so decided to try it, when we arrived only us in, and then another table came in, very pricey family of 4 adults and 1 child and nearly £46.00, but as a treat and a one off was amazing, only live in Newquay, but wouldn't be able to come very often, but if on holiday would definitely recommend trying

All the flavours of ice cream and sorbet to satisfy even the pickiest frozen delights eater. Generous helpings, delicious tastes and pleasant surroundings. All staff who work there were friendly and helpful. Will visit again when back in Cornwall.

Delicious cinnamon biscuit ice-cream picked up whilst taking a stroll through Perranporth. There were so many flavours, it took me a while to make up my mind. A great big scoop for £2.50 - always a bonus!

My husband and I had lovely ice cream, he had the Pistachio and Marscapone and I had the Pumpkin Pie ice cream, it had pumpkin seeds in it. Absolutely gorgeous. I went back again! Very clean and service with a smile!

This is a good place for ice cream. Walk to the end of perranporth town to find it. My ice-cream fell on the floor as I left... They quickly gave me a replacement which was very nice of them!
