what a lovely venue to have a work do at. staff was really helpful and accommodating. thank you to the lovely girl behind the bar who worked on the 14th of September was really lovely and kind and made me feel really welcome she did an amazing job that night. the food was delicious as well. definitely looking forward to going back. thank you to parlay for a great evening. from Stacie

A table was booked for 7.30pm tonight to celebrate an 18th Birthday, we pulled up it was closed! To see the look on these 4 girls faces, SHAME ON YOU!! Called no answer, finally answered by a rude man saying we open at 8! BS!!! You open at 6, no? As per your website? AVOID this place after the way they let down these young girls tonight, no sorry nothing! Thankfully Turquise in Loughton fitted them in at the last minute......ps. Now abuse me, be rude and call me a liar like you did the other bad review!!! ***NO STARS***

We recently hired the venue for our daughters 18th birthday party for approx 150 people. We had an amazing evening the staff especially Kash were very accommodating & nothing was too much trouble to make my daughters special evening go smoothly. We would highly recommend Parlay E18 as a venue for a party you would not be disappointed!

I was so looking forward to visiting this restaurant as I had heard loads of great things about it however when I rang to book a meal the person who answered the phone was very rude and informed me that they would not accept my valid Groupon voucher. This was very disappointing and I won’t make the mistake of trying to book a meal at Parlay again.

Was a lovely mid-week dinner. Restaurant was quiet, service was quick and the food tasted lovely!! Great value for money through a groupon deal!

Food was lovely... service was amazing! One down point was there was a slight delay in the drinks/starters being served but once they came we were all completely happy with what we were served. The waiter was extremely friendly and very attentive. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning!

Visited Parlay for a Birthday Party and must say it was a really good night. The Venue is in a good location and easy to find. The Food was really nice and will be back to try more of the menu as we had buffet style food. Really nice decor and great selection of drinks on the bar and reasonably priced. The service from management to waitresses was excellent and really made our night great. thanks to the team and will be back soon

We visited Parlay E18 for a birthday celebration. The food was lovely and the cocktails were excellent. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. Very enjoyable meal and cocktails. Highly recommend.

The food looked fine, but the lamb was to highly spiced for our liking. There was a very noisy group of girls, which didn’t help. The management apologised. But it took us to talk to them to get them to quieten down. Very good value with a Groupon.

We are new to South Woodford and decided to check out one of the local restaurants. We are so glad we picked Parlay 18. The food was absolutely lovely, as well as reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was fun yet relaxed. We also felt very looked after by the waiter and waitress, who were very attentive given there was also a big party in the restaurant keeping them busy. We will certainly be back!

We've just had a wonderful afternoon st Parlay celebrating a friend's baby shower. The staff reserved an area for us and were friendly and approachable. Also, we had a buffet for the event and the food was so excellent that many of us said that we would come back for a sit down meal. I would really recommend this venue, unlock forward to sampling more from the delicious food and drink menu.

There was a big party of us and all were dealt with professionally. A great time was had by all and it will be somewhere I will visit again.

I visited Parlay with a big group of colleagues and we couldn’t have picked a better place! This restaurant had come highly recommended and I can now see why. We chose bbq chicken wings, chicken tenders, kofte, ribs and a fish basket for starters and shared this between us. For my main meal, I chose butterfly chicken and sweet potato fries, which was extremely soft and tasty. The attention to detail was spot on and the food was delicious. What made this even better, was the friendly owner, Seyhan, who looked after such a big group of 24 of us, with no hassle at all. The staff were polite and friendly and the cocktails were amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant/bar as a place to go and can’t wait to return with my family!

You could smell the chargriller way before you reached the restaurant. The restaurant is quite clinical so lacks a little atmosphere but the food and cocktails are fantastic and make up for that. The meats were really tasty. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming, as was our waitress.

Booked a table at Parlay for dinner and pre drinks with my friends and the food was as good as ever! I’ve been before but not all of my friends have and I’m pleased to say they didn’t disappoint, which is always nice seeing as it was my recommendation. Some of us had starters and mains whilst others had a few small plates and sides instead. There were lots of cocktails on offer to try and the music and atmosphere was so nice that we decided to move to the bar area and stay for the rest of the evening! Highly recommend, great food, great drinks and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to returning again soon.

Such an amazing restaurant, had the burger which was yummy and my partner had the Cajun chicken and said it is the best chicken he has ever had, so tender and juicy! Had amazing brownies for dessert. The staff are amazing, so attentive and very friendly, a little gem in South Woodford!

Visited last night, the food was amazing and will like to visit again & again, the staff are very humble and welcoming and was stunned by the visual cocktails other customers ordered (must have been good - i wish i ordered one but i had to drive). The food was tasty, hot and a well balanced portion size, especially my lamb kofta starter.

Loved everything about Parlay E18 - the good, cocktails and service were all excellent and the music at the bar was great as well! Far enough away for us to be able to chat, but close enough to give a great atmosphere. Service was great and really friendly too, will definitely be back!

Caribbean Night Every First Sunday Of The Month.

Highly recommend, have been twice now and both times fantastic. Staff are very friendly, and the cocktails and food were absolutely delicous! Came last night with 16 guests and everyone really enjoyed themselves and loved the food. Atmosphere was great for a party booking with the music and cocktails. The team kindly took a pre-order (were very accomodating to any special requests on dishes) so that our food could be prepared before we came and it all came out correctly. Fantastic value for money, we will definatley be returning!

We went here for a family members birthday and were taken aback with how amazing the food was! The music was a little bit too loud but it's a great little restaurant for a family meal, meal with friends or even just a drink as the bar is very impressive! Would definitely recommend.

A friend organised a surprise Birthday dinner here for another friend for a lot of people!The 2 course menu selection and price seemed so reasonable that I wasn’t expecting too much. Well it WAS a wow from me! I could not believe the quality of the food, presentation and how lovely the staff were. They really couldn’t do enough for you and went above and beyond to make it a good dining experience and Birthday Celebration. I’d definitely go back there independently or organise a big group gathering there.

Dined here for the first time on Sunday, as part of a large group to celebrate a special birthday. The meal was fantastic, lovely selection of wines. The service throughout was attentive and friendly. Decor was stylish which added to the lovely atmosphere. This is a gem of a restaurant and I have no hesitation returning or recommending.

They couldn’t do enough for me . Top class food ( lamb chops were perfect ) . A really friendly pair of owners who really looked after a big group of 40 without any fuss . Highly recommended and great value for money as well thanks guys

This is such a great place to eat - stylish, friendly, delicious food, perfect drinks - all at a very fair price. New menu interesting and delicious - I had a double mixed seafood platter and it was amazing! Good wine choices too. Also love the fact this is a family owned restaurant - not a franchise or a chain. You meet the owners and they are genuinely interested in their clientele. I will be back very soon!

Went their for my cousins surprise 60th birthday party and had a fantastic time. The restaurant is a family run business and it shows through their customer service. They looked after us from the moment we arrived until we left. The service was great, the staff were friendly and the owners made sure we was well looked after. The food was finger licking good. We had a buffet style menu as there were a lot of us. The lamb ribs and lamb chop was so succulent that it melted in our mouths. The chicken wings was cooked to perfection and they were really juicy and tasty. I would definitely be visiting this place again soon.

I attended a baby shower here and had a delicious lunch. We had a section to ourselves and we could play the usual games that you play at baby showers, whilst enjoying cocktails or mocktails.

Just few weeks ago we revisited ParlayE18. Were hoping to get out favorite good old burgers, but to our surprise they had a new menu to offer.

Been here twice recently. Went first as a couple and then returned with friends as it was so good. Food was great, had the set menu but it didn't disappoint. Cocktails were great and hospitality of one of the owners was fantastic. Highly recommend.

I had my baby shower here with all my friends last Sunday and it was the perfect place! The food was amazing as always and all my friends loved the experience and are looking forward to returning soon. The staff were so accommodating and were so happy to help with whatever we needed. The new menu that I have seen advertised totally lived up to my expectations and I’m already looking forward to returning again in the near future. Thanks so much to the Team at Parlay!

Attended a baby shower here last Sunday and the staff were super accommodating allowing us to book the front of the restaurant to ourselves and allowing us to hang decorations. Food was amazing - the halloumi salad in particular & you can't come here without having a pornstar martini (or two) will be back again soon. Would defo Recommend!

3rd time visiting this lovely restaurant and again it didn't disappoint. Food is really nice and beautifully presented. Cocktails are excellent and the desserts are out of this world! Run by really nice people and the waiting staff are superb too so thank you once again for a great experience. We'll be back again soon.

Came here with my family for the first time, and will definitely be coming back again!

I came here with my boyfriend as a last minute decision. We was warmly welcomed, seated and served in a timely manner. We each had a starter and main, and I had a few vodka and diet cokes, which was reasonably priced; I enjoyed the chicken tenders to start and then the chicken skewers, all cooked perfectly. My boyfriend tried the cheese balls to start which he was very impressed with then enjoyed the double cheeseburger. At the end we was offered some complimentary shots as we was waiting for the card machine, although it was no bother at all. The guy at the bar, possibly management, was very friendly and accommodating and we will definitely be returning soon!

We visited Parlay E18 yesterday evening for my friends birthday. The staff were attentive and very friendly.

Visited Parlay last weekend for my second time and I have to say that it didn’t fail to deliver - again. We were made to feel welcome by all of the staff from the moment we walked through the door and were shown to our table. We started with a round of cocktails for the table. I had an Old Fashioned, which was well made with just the right amount of orange and not too bitter. The food menu has everything you would want without being fussy - I went for the chicken strips to start and the lamb burger for main, both of which were well cooked and tasty. The restaurant was full when we arrived, which is always a good sign and added to the atmosphere which was fun and relaxed. We left feeling very contented and will certainly be coming back to Parlay for the third time!

I had a lovely catch up dinner here with friends last week. The staff were super friendly and even offered to make me my favourite cocktail which wasn’t on the menu.

I had dinner with a group of five friends at Parlay last Saturday for the first time and had an amazing two course meal. The chicken wings were to die for! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and there is always a member of staff and sort more drinks and ensure you are okay. We ended up staying for a few more wines & cocktails after dinner in the bar area which has a cool vibe. I will be back again next time I plan a catch up dinner and/or drinks with friends!

Went to Parlay for dinner last weekend to celebrate my friend’s birthday. This is my second trip to Parlay and both times have been excellent. It’s a really relaxed and good value place to have a few drinks and some yummy food. The deep fried goats cheese is a particular highlight but my friend also had the mushrooms which were tasty tasty. Great burgers. The service is faultless and there’s a lovely family atmosphere. Will definitely be back - shame it’s so far from my house otherwise I’d be in there all the time!

Came here for family dinner to celebrate my brother in laws birthday. Let’s just say we waited a whole 1hr and a half to have our food serviced to us, even though our food was ordered at 8:25, we didn’t end up getting our meal until 10:00pm. Unless we asked no one came to ask us anything about our order. We even had to ask for water to placed on the table. As much as the staff were apologetic after our umpteen questions about our order...I think they lacked organisation. To add insult to injury even people that came in AFTER we arrived they still got serviced their meals before us.

I visited here on Saturday night with some of my oldest friends. I had been before but they hadn’t and seeing as they traveled all the way from West London I wanted to take them somewhere I knew they would love, and they certainly did love Parlay. The food was cooked to perfection, and came out in a nice timely manner. I had the Parlay burger which was something I hadn’t had before and it did not disappoint! We all had a variation of cocktails all as yummy as the last. My friends loved it and we will all be returning very soon. Thank you Parlay!

The food is amazing, fresh and warm! Waiter staff polite and friendly. I would fully recommend this place to eat to listen to good music and have some really good time. The cocktails were full of taste and I couldn’t wish for more.

I visited Parlay with two friends on Saturday evening. It’s tucked off the main high street in South Woodford and is a real hidden gem! The interior decor is really nice- lots of copper and antique gold which make it looks really trendy.

Stunning food, friendly and attentive staff and a great cocktail made this a great night. It’s just a shame the chairs are not comfortable with my big bum - I recommend sitting on the banquette if you’re on the larger side!

I went with my fiancé for a meal on a Friday night. They had 2 for 1 on cocktails which were really nice! The food was ok I had some chicken wings to start and a steak burger for my main. My partner had a lamb burger which she enjoyed. I felt was the service was quiet slow, but the staff were very friendly and gave us complementary shots on leaving. I just left feeling a little a little underwhelmed ( on the food front) having been excited to visit.

I visited parlay with 6 of my friends for a reunion. This new restaurant was much more than the usual streak and burger bar. The setting was super cute and chic, perfect for group pictures. The food was absolutely delicious defo up there for one of the best burger places around. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t have been a better place to meet up with friends and have a laugh over fabulous food. I’ll defo be coming again...

I went there to celebrate a friend's birthday and the owners greeted us very well and looked after us. The food was delicious and served to us very promptly. Will definitely be going again and will next time be ordering as much as I can from the menu.

First time visiting here, and cannot fault the experience we got. We had a toddler with us and the service given was amazing. We was seated straight away where it was nice and warm. We ordered the mixed grill; and everything was just great, super tasty, will definitely be visiting again with the family and friends. Overall a nice atmosphere with great food and drinks.

Visited for a birthday with a group of friends for the 3rd time and yet again left with a smile! The staff were super friendly and fulfilled all of our needs! The food without a doubt was so tasty that I definitely will be back again for the 4th time! Highly recommended!

I had dinner here with 3 other friends in January on a Thursday night. As soon as we arrived, I instantly felt a lovely welcoming atmosphere and loved the decor in the bar area and further in the restaurant where we sat. Our table was ready for us and the waitress was so friendly and although we sent her away a few times to give us a few minutes, each time she came back we were still not ready as we were yapping away, she was so patient, friendly and was ready when we were. We had a decent bottle of red wine and ordered a selection of starters which were exceptionally presented, and were tasty, full of flavour. There was nice background music and added to the aura. I know this place is relatively new, but I was pretty impressed to see the manager walking around talking to customers and greeting them like he does it all the time, you don't get that everywhere and he made sure we were happy with our food and service so far.

This place has a lot of potential but as yet untapped. The food is pretty pedestrian. Usual grill stuff, burgers, steaks etc. Not my first choice of restaurant, nor second, however was willing to give it a go as it is relatively new. For a Saturday night it was only half full, with the front half of the restaurant totally empty. If there were minimal tables and chairs here and with the right marketing this space could be a great cocktail bar offering small bites. It was a very cold night out and unfortunately it was not particularly warm inside. With only 1 waitress and the manager/owner the service was friendly but slow - we waited a good 20 minutes before our cocktails arrived and longish waits for our starters and mains. The breaded king prawns were fine and the portobello mushroom with creamy spinach and parmesan had quite a runny sauce, though the flavour was good. Our friends Halloumi salad and fish and chips was good, however my 'classic burger' had to be sent back as it was very well done - in fact it the one mouthful I had was dry and I suspected had not been freshly cooked but was re-heated, the second one was not much better and only arrived about 5 minutes after the first! The chips were very good. The manager/owner was apologetic for the waiting time and my burger and he kindly gave us two rounds of Limoncello on the house which was very kind of him. This place though needs to up its game to compete with the many good local restaurants in and around South Woodford and I hope they make a success in the forthcoming year.

Food was very good, but took more than 1 hour to arrive, although being only 2 tables in the whole restaurant.

Was looking forward to trying this after the positive reviews, food took over 1hr 20mins to arrive, which we were informed about. We ordered a mix grill which is meant to be for 2, a hot dog meal, a kids burger meal. The mix grill was tiny with one pitta, bland and flavourless, the hot dog and burger had taste and flavour, the chips were cold and soggy, the food in general was not fresh and piping hot. It looked like not much effort had been put into preparing it.We had waited so long for the delivery, thoroughly dissapointed, chips just went in the bin.

First visited when it was newly opened & left with a great experience, knew I would be back to try the rest of the menu. So Happy I wasn’t disappointed on my return.So lovely to still see the managers up & about talking & greeting customers. we kept noticing the parlay platter on their social media which we ordered & it looked & tasted just as amazing just the right amount of food for 2 to share.

We visited on the grand opening, so there was a few minor teething issues as you would expect from any newly opened food serving venue. I've had worse teething issues at some bigger chain of restaurants! Staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming, the food was very good as was the desert, and I'm not usually one to eat desert.

I visited Parlay on Friday night with a friend and I can honestly say I had such a lovely evening. Immediately greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. The food was so good, great choice on the menu, I had the goats cheese to start, Cajun chicken pitta and we shared the doughnuts. The main course was so delicious, couldn’t fault it. The doughnuts lived up to the great reviews I’ve seen on here, I had them without cinnamon which they were more than happy to cater for. I will definitely be visiting again. So lovely to see an independent restaurant (not a chain) doing what they should be doing; great food, fab atmosphere, somewhere to visit time and time again.

I visited the restaurant last night with a group of 8 people. We were greeted by welcoming staff, who were friendly and attentive throughout our stay.

Had a great meal - calamari, steak and donuts - all perfect, full of flavour and fresh. Makes a welcome change from chain restaurants and service and food reflect this.

Myself and along with 7 of my work colleagues arranged to go to Parlay E18 on 21/12/17 for our Xmas dinner with hopes of it being a night full of laughter and good food....boy did we get both in abundance!!!

I have been to Parlay twice now. First time for drinks. The atmosphere was great. Very welcoming. I had a look into the main restaurant and knew I had to come back and was not disappointed. Food great - every course was amazing! Service was lovely. Such friendly staff! The restaurant has been made upto such a high standard. I will definitely be going back again and again! Highly recommend a visit!

Went with a group of friends. A great atmosphere, amazing cocktails and the best burger I have had in a long time! Support a quality local-owned business and get down there.

I went here with high hopes after reading all of the reviews. Unfortunately, this has to be one of the worst meals I have ever eaten in my life. Such a shame, as the staff seemed so nice, yet it was all extremely amateur. They didn't ask if I needed a drink after I had finished my cocktail, the calamari was clearly microwaved and the steak.. wow. I can only describe it as being boiled and cooked in water and not a grill or pan on high heat. I eat my steak rare, and you expect a nice caramelisation on the outside. It was all wet and inedible, with chunks of raw garlic over it, which I can only think was a marinade. It wasn't cheap either! The same price as lots of other restaurants that can actually cook steak, so a real, expensive disappointment. Unfortunately my friend sent her food back, so I was too embarrassed to do the same, as the owner/waiter looked so ashamed, so I paid £40 for a really terrible meal and one drink. I would never go back and recommend you stay away.

Recently attended Parlay for a Christmas meal with my cousins and was so impressed with the freshness and quality of our food.

We hosted the school year night out here last night The table setting was great, the food was hot and tasty and the staff were professional and very accommodating I would recommend for groups, family and couples

We visited Parlay on a friend's recommendation for lunch. We walked in and originally sat by the bar as we had our 4 month old baby and there was space for the pushchair but the waitress polity asked if we wanted to move to the back where it's warmer for our baby. We ordered 3 courses each plus sides and the price was very reasonable for it's location. I had stuffed portobello mushrooms I couldn't get enough if the sause and halumi salad for main with truffle chips which was delicious. My husband ordered the double 6oz burger for his main with extra onion ring and egg inside. When it came out it was more like two 8oz burgers. It was huge but it dint take long for him to finish it.

Visited this restaurant with a few of my friends for one of their birthdays and we were so impressed! The place is beautifully decorated, smart and classy and a very friendly welcome from the staff as we arrived. We had 3 courses, all of them as delicious as each other, be sure to try the donuts for dessert! Spent the rest of the evening there enjoying the atmosphere and a few glasses of prosecco with my friends. We will all certainly be returning in the near future to try some other options on the menu, so many to choose from!

Exceptional service, phenomenal food and friendly staff that make you feel like you're with your second family. The decor of the establishment is reminiscent of what you would expect to see in the UAE, but without the extravagant prices. Will be definitely recommending Parlay to everyone I know!

When we first arrived we were told to sit at the front of the restaurant where it was too cold as the door kept opening. I asked to be moved and they explained that they had quite a lot of bookings so would try and sit me somewhere else and then two minutes later we were seated at the back. The restaurant was empty! I was here from 7ish-half 9ish and no one else came. Throughout the two and a half hours I was there I had one cocktail as the waiter never asked if we wanted another drink. Bad customer service. The starter was edible I had chicken dippers. THEN FOR THE MAIN!!!! I ordered the cheeseburger which was awful! it turned up and it absolutely stunk of DOG POO. I had to pick up the burger to see if I was smelling correctly and also got my Sister to smell also. I called the only waiter there over and explained that it stunk. There was no apology, it seemed like he knew the food was very poor. He then mumbled something about the bill and said he would get me a new chicken burger. By this point I was disgusted and not hungry anymore. He explained it would be two minutes. It eventually took 20 minutes for my new main to come out after my Sister had already finished. The waiter did not ask how my new food tasted or whether I was satisfied. He then cheekily added this burger to my bill which I had to correct him on and this was then taken off. Will DEFINATELY not be going back and I recommend everyone to stay away if you don't want food poisoning.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday 28th October 2017. Our visit was faultless; very welcoming, efficient and friendly staff, excellent food and drink, trendy decor, great atmosphere and everywhere was lovely and clean. We had the classic and cajun chicken burgers for main, the banoffee cheesecake for dessert with coffee and a bottle of chardonnay. Our experience of this restaurant was superb and we will most definitely be returning very soon.

I went with a friend last week and had an amazing meal. Attentive service, great atmosphere and incredible food. We both went for chicken dishes (the pesto chicken with vegetables and the chicken skewers) and were thrilled with both - the meat was wonderfully marinated, seasoned and cooked brilliantly, and the accompanying veg was the same. Will definitely be back and hope this is a long staying fixture in South Woodford.

This restaurant is fabulous. The minute we walked in we were so warmly welcomed and made to feel we were special. The staff - not just the owners are so friendly - how nice to be served by people who enjoy their work. Food just superb. Fresh and so tasty. Best burger we have had for months. Restaurant filled up at 8pm. Acoustics slightly echoey and could do with some pictures on the walls. Brilliant place and will definitely go back. Very good value too!!
