I visited the cafe carnfunnock and had some really tasty food and a coffee. Was really impressed by the standard of coffee and service by Niamh, very friendly and made a top class cappacino. Will be back very soon.

We got lunch here and although they were only doing a simplified menu, there was enough variety to satisfy us. I got chicken and broccoli bake with chips and coleslaw. The bake was nice - not outstanding but good home cooking. My husband got a burger and chips. My toddlers got the kids meal of sausages, chips and beans. For all meals, the portions were generous. The weather was good so we were able to sit at a picnic table overlooking the sea.

Tried this wee place out very recently, although we just stopped by for a quick coffee and tray bake. It was such a nice day we sat out at the picnic tables out front with a nice view overlooking the shore and Islandmagee. The cafe was a tad understocked as it was winding down and scheduled to close for the winter in a couple of days time, but it would seem that during peak season there's a fair variety of cooked food available. Anyway, if you're out at Carnfunnock Park and you are peckish, there is only this place to satisfy your appetite, but I think it would do the job providing you're not looking for anything too fancy. The Park is a lovely place and a walk round it's perimeter, just a dander through the walled garden or a session with the kids down at the play area might be sufficient to generate a hankering for a bite to eat.

It was good and they sold filter coffee which gets a star from me. After all, you need to get the basics right. My wife had a scone which was good value and she loved it. I had a sausage roll which they heated in the microwave so it was soggy and unpleasant. Sitting outside is lovely with good views but the decor inside is awful.

My partner and I called in today for a coffee as we have done at times before. The veiw and walk up to the cafe are beautifull and peaceful. There is pram and disabled access to cafe and toilets whitch are always very clean. The staff are lovely and helpful and not a bad choice off foo on offer. Only gripe is food not covered at the till, scones buns and other items just left open on plates, that is a germ and health issue as god knows what other people are spreadibg. There should also be a few notices outside in eating area about not letting dogs sit on or lick around the tables. There was a dog sitting on seat today and left a mess off wet muddy prints, not very nice. But it's still a lovely place to have a coffee and rest just a few niggles about dogs and u covered food.

After a lovely walk through Carnfunnock Countr Park I decided to refuel at the Parklands Cafe in the park grounds. I usually only come into the cafe when I want an ice cream or a hot chocolate or something else that is quick as the cafe is usually packed full of parents with young children or tourists during lunch time, but because I was having a late lunch it wasn't as bad. You can get a selection of sandwiches, burgers, homecooked meals like irish stew, quiche or even a fry. The best thing about the cafe food is that it is usually has very quick service and they give you a full plate of food for you to enjoy. But what really sets this cafe apart from other places is the location, absolutely perfect on a nice day with picturesque views of the Irish Sea and plenty of seating outside. There is also lots of park activties available for families with kids including mini-golf, camping, mazes, and much more. And for those who want peace and quiet there are nature trails and even a small woodland called "Chaine's Wood" at the back of the park. If you are travelling along the Causeway Coastal Route on your holidays/time off then I would recommend visiting Carnfunnock Country Park and get something at the cafe while you are visiting.

We called in for a cuppa after being at the play area with toddlers Good selection of goodies to accompany our cuppas Cater well for children too We sat outside as the rascals still had some energy to burn off Service was friendly My only criticism is the prices they charge but they probably have high rent to cover being where they are situated. That said, breakfast prices are pretty reasonable. Good home style cooking and friendly staff

This cafe' is situated in Carnfunnock Country Park on the outskirts of Larne. It is suitable for everyone. They provide childrens' meals as well as breakfast, lunch and snacks. Within the Park there is a touring caravan site. The cafe is very popular with the caravanners especially for breakfast. The quality of food and service is excellent. There are great views from the outside tables with great views across the North Channel to Scotland and you can watch the ships entering and leaving the Port of Larne. The cafe is open every day during the spring and summer and winter at weekends.

If you like going for a walk in natural surroundings, or like walking the dog in a nice green place then this is a great place to go and refuel. Right in the middle of Carnfunnock Country Park is the parklands cafe where the views are outstanding, the food is good and the service is good too and there are plenty of activities to within the park area for afterwards. Great choice of meals from breakfast porridge, soups, burgers, sandwiches and more. (The burgers are definitely my favourite as you can see from the picture)

A group of twelve people from our Walking Group enjoyed a very enjoyable walk in Carnfunnock Country Park last week. The park near Larne on the Antrim Coast Road covers 191 hectares of mixed woodland, colourful gardens, walking trails and the Parklands Cafe. This was the perfect end to our walk and the Catering Manager and his excellent staff provided us with an extensive menu choice of home made scones, salads, sandwiches or a fried breakfast, beautifully cooked and served with tea/coffee. They also cater for Children with the option to add additional items like "99" ice creams or "Slushie" drinks for groups. Within the park they can provide catering at the various purpose built BBQ areas, ideal for a Corporate Day out. The staff all make you feel welcome and it is their goal to ensure that everyone has a fun day in the park and we would strongly recommend that you pay them a visit.

We just thought we’d try here as golf clubs generally have a good reputation for their food . Best decision of the holiday , food was delicious, good quality and well presented. All four of us cleared our plates . Staff were so friendly, adapted menu with no hesitation to suit ‘the awkward one’ . Beautiful views from the restaurant, definitely a hidden gem

Millar’s Pub in Ballycarry is a gem with a truly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The friendly staff go out of their way to make you feel right at home, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment that attracts locals and visitors alike. The menu offers a great selection of pub grub, with options that cater well to vegetarians, which is always a nice find in a traditional pub setting. Millar’s is also a fantastic place to catch a rugby match. The setup for televised sports means you can settle in with a great view and enjoy the game alongside a passionate crowd. If you’re looking for a spot with authentic local flavor, good food, and lively rugby screenings try Millars.

Brilliant vintage memorabilia around the walls, great pints and service, toilets could do with a coat of paint but that's nothing to be concerned about
