Great selection of food and drinks. Croque Madame delicious and a lovely hot chocolate. Friendly and straightforward service. Attractive displays of many Italian deli items.

I go to Italy as often as I can. I want to retire there. In this deli-bar I had a focaccia (really good one) with mortadella and provolone cheese. I asked them to hold the picallili and they did, without objection. It was the best sandwich I have had in the UK for, hmmm, at least 10 years. Exquisite ingredients lovely service, great setting -- some great deli finds on the shelves and in the refrigerated area. I will be back for the same sandwich and to take away some taleggio. HIGHLY recommend xx

One of the best purveyors of world produce. The deli sandwiches are exceptional and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Gillian and Peter are wonderful and the soul of the place. I cannot recommend Park view deli enough Gillian’s sandwiches are untouchable the best I’ve ever eaten. I love the selection of goods they have, outstanding produce from around the world. The jersey tomatoes are a stand out as are the San marzarno. I love this place and the people behind it. Forget your supermarkets shop here you’ll be happier.

I have been coming here for a while. The flavours and fresh cooking never fail to disapoint. Today I got The Meaty One off the Christmas specials. A generous helping of a turkey dinner in a ciabatta. A must to go and try at the moment. The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is chilled.

My first visit here and it won’t be my last. The Christmas sandwich of joy was absolutely delicious! Meat, vegetarian and vegan option available. Great menu and drinks selection. Staff superb, deli shop absolutely incredible. Great little place, can’t wait to come back 🧡

Great deli with reasonably priced hard to source high quality goods.

Don’t get to come here as often as id like and it’s always for a quick take out but the food is always beautiful and such a lovely fresh selection. Perfect place to come while in Whitley bay

One of the nicest sandwiches I’ve ever had. Mortadella, provolone, and a loaf of other really nice stuff!

We called into the Whitley Bay Deli for some speciality cheese. On arriving we noticed a table full of dirty plates etc. We walked up to the counter. There was nobody there. There was only one lady in the shop, sat at the far table on a laptop, with an apron on. We stood and stood. We looked around. She didn't look up, didn't say hello, didn't make any attempt to communicate with us. We discussed which cheese we would like, but as no movement at all was made from the lady with the laptop, we walked out. So sad that a local business does not want local customers.

This is a great place for lunch while visiting either the beach or shops in Whitley Bay. We were a mixed group of meat eaters and vegetarians from 50 something to 12 year olds. We were all spoilt for choice from a beautiful and seasonal menu. The watermelon, nectarine and feta salad was beautiful and delicious - as was everything that we ordered. The food was made carefully from scratch in the open kitchen area. This isn’t ‘fast food’ in any sense but is well worth the wait. Drinks arrived very promptly and as we were all happy to chat and wait it wasn’t an issue. The deli shop area has a lovely range of products too. We look forward to a return visit to see what autumn seasonal foods are on the menu. This summery menu was beautiful.

this is a wonderful hidden gem in Whitley Bay! I had the butternut squash, courgette and aubergine salad with a yoghurt and mango dressing and my partner had the vegan cooked breakfast, both were delicious! lovely staff and a wide range of options, plus some great food to take home too including wine, coffee, and pastas

I absolutely love this Deli, the goats cheese and apple salad I had was incredibly tasty. I buy all of my cheese here as it is just another level, supermarket cheese tastes terrible in comparison. The products are wonderful and best place for gin. Couple who own it are friendly, helpful and just lovely. Very lucky to have this in Whitley Bay.

This fabulous deli bar delivers every time. Fantastic range of deli products that will surprise you. Brill for gifts, they do hampers too. My daughter and I regularly visit here, they’re sandwiches are just the best. Every little detail of flavour you can think of is available if you just ask the lovely couple who own it. Everything is made to order food wise, fresh and very tasty. It’s a must when you come to Whitley Bay, you can sit in the sunshine too with a glass of wine and gorgeous Italian meats. Bliss!

After walking up and down that long street of funky candle shops we found this lovely little deli/cafe. Great food for lunch, menu is short and sweet with lots to choose from, coffee was spot on too. I have to mention the poached egg on my croqe toastie was amazing! Guy who served us was pleasant and offered the specials board too. We will be back soon for sure see you soon!

Do lovely breakfast rolls. Usually busy so might not be able to get a seat. Also can recommend scones and cake.

I arrived with my family for a takeaway sandwich and immediately felt as though I was an inconvenience. I was told very abruptly that it would be 30 minute wait , I misunderstood and ordered something else, both staff were so rude and repeated in an unpleasant would be a 30 mi ute wait.

Lovely little cafe/deli. Coffee was excellent as was the two breakfasts we had (I had the meat option, the missus had the vegan). Some nice stuff in the shop too. Definitely worth a visit.

Seven of us visited this afternoon for a late birthday lunch. A new venue for 3 of us and we weren't disappointed. Staff were lovely and informative about produce on sale and menu choices,which was large. Very good value pricing, great presentation and beautiful,, food drinks and coffee. Thoroughly recommend the Chicken Fajitas I had and looking forward to future visits.

The deli is small, but welcoming. Items on the menu are a little bit different. We had the 'Christmas sandwich with joy' and it was a joy! It had turkey, bread sauce, cranberry, stuffing and was served with fried potato and sprouts and spiced cabbage - absolutely delicious! There was also a vegetarian version. We didn't have room for any of the lovely looking cakes - maybe next time. The deli sells a good range of meats and Doddington cheeses as well as other delights. I will be back!

Said that in England they don't accept Scottish money (which England does) it was an arkward and uncomfortable experience.

I went today with my Mum and the deli was looking so good, fully stocked with a fabulous selection of high quality foodie treats. I bought a lovely bottle of red wine. I had ham and cheese sandwich that was delicious, served with a great selection of salad and homemade coleslaw. My Mum was very impressed and will be visiting again. Excellent coffees. Lovely warm atmosphere.

My mum and I visited today and all I can is wow. The food was so fresh and priced very reasonably. The choice is outstanding and they also have little things you can buy to take home and cook with. Well worth a visit for a drink or a bite to eat. Will definitely be back

I never normally leave reviews, but in this instance I really feel the need to share my views. I came here today to support small independent local businesses, as I believe it’s very important to celebrate ‘local’. Upon my arrival I felt an inconvenience to staff. And when I ordered i received an Ill-mannered and abrupt, negative backlash, from both members of staff, when I misunderstood the menu. This was then received by a scoff when I only ordered one sandwich, and not one for my friend who was also with me. The customer service and interpersonal skills were disconcerting and non existent. I found staff very rude and abrasive, the entire experience was uncomfortable and unenjoyable. I will not be returning. There are a plethora of independent local businesses in Whitley bay that welcome their customers and celebrate their support. This was not received. And the importance of this, does not appear to be recognised.

We are regular eaters at PVD. Always an good and interesting choice of food all served with a smile.

Lovely Deli and great range of food for vegetarians and caters for Coeliacs too! Been here twice in one week as it was such a find! The food is so fresh and great value for portion size. It's dog friendly and has baby changing facilities. Two big plus points for me. There is a lush range of produce available at a good price range to inspire you. Came away with a nice mango salad dressing and some Lebanese falafal. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and huge range of great cakes! Will be back.

We wandered into this deli on Saturday as our first choice establishment had no seats. We were not disappointed; we were impressed and wondered why we had walked past so many times previously.My husband tried pimped poached eggs which bore more than a passing resemblance to eggs benedict and I had Heuvos Rancheros which had a real spicy kick.The food was freshly prepared, portions were a good size and was really enjoyable. We also had a pot of breakfast tea and a generous Americano. The deli is clean and neat and carries an excellent range of fresh items (the cheese looked particularly inviting) as well as jars of jam and chutney, oils and balsamic plus wooden items, cups etcWe will definately try this lovely spot again.

The breakfasts here are not the average breakfast you would get, ie fry up. There was a bacon sandwich on the menu and many other different items. My favourite is sausage and that didn't seem to be there.However the food served was nice, hot and well prepared. It did seem a bit expensive for what it was.There is no filter coffee, which I like when I have a breakfast or brunch howeverAdded to that for the majority of the time we were there we were the only customers. Probably try somewhere else next time, but wouldn't rule this place out.

Great range of food on the menu plus specials on the blackboard and a fab range of homemade cakes to boot. If you can't find anything to your liking the couple who run the place will happily make you up anything from what meats and cheeses they have on the deli counter. Coffee is good and better than other places on park view. If you are after a healthy choice when eating out I would recommend here as the choice you can get with your salad is huge. Good for Vegan options. Our favourites happen to be the pakora salad, home made soups and the chocolate expresso cake. Also great place to pick up the odd gift or specialist food stuff.

We’ve been to The Park View Deli a few times for breakfast- it does the best scrambled egg I’ve ever had!

We called in for a light bite and really enjoyed it. Everything looks so lovely. The coffee was good, and the scones were delicious. We'll definitely be back to eat something more substantial next time.

I had the poached eggs on sourdough toast and my boyfriend had an avocado, bacon and chicken sandwich. Both were yummy. My flat white coffee was one of the best coffees i’ve had.

I love this place - the freshest food - the salads are amazing (and I'm not normally a salad eater). Sandwiches are awesome too! I can't afford to eat here everyday, but I do love it as a delicious treat!

Having passed by many times, I took the plunge and decided to try the coffee. The shop is very characterful inside with an array of exciting goods to browse at and purchase, as well as serving breakfast, lunch and and hot drinks. The coffee here is second to none and one of the best I have had in the area. Definitely worth seeking out if you are in Whitley Bay.

Perfect for salads, deli sandwiches and baked goods. Yet to try breakfast menu but I've been blown away by everything I've ate here. Very reasonably priced. Good coffee. Dog friendly. Take away available and the deli stock available to purchase is amazing. Staff are pretty damn nice too.

Lovely cafe style deli where all the food is prepared to order right in front of your eyes. Lovely to watch delicious cakes being baked and iced right there. Specials board has nice choices and salads and sandwiches are filled with delights from the deli chiller. Nice coffee.

Myself, my wife and my grown up son had just walked from North Shields and we're looking for somewhere we could have breakfast/lunch. I remembered this place because I had bought a bottle of lemoncello there and a lady who was eating there told me it was the best lemoncello she had ever had and she was Italian and ought to know!

Best bacon sandwiches around and lovely home made soups! Good selection of cakes, including gluten free. Yum!!!

We’ve visited a few times recently for lunch and really enjoyed it. The menu is more interesting than a lot of delis. Gluten free is well catered for with both savoury and sweet options. We especially like that it’s dog friendly so we can call in on the way back from a beach walk.

I had the blue cheese and bacon with chutney and it was just absolutely amazing. The side salad was so delicious too - I was in heaven!!!!! As usual I buy deli treats for presents which are always welcomed by their recipients. Service fab too and very friendly. Thank you.

This deli is an absolute gem, always busy and packed with delicious treats. Cakes are great and sandwiches I hav3 had on the three times I have been are good. Like the communal tables idea when it’s busy.

Have eaten here several times in the last few months and very delayed in promoting just how great this eatery is. Deceiving from the outside as looks more like a shop front (it does sell a lovely selection of gourmet deli produce)rather than a cafe/bistro. A huge plus is that dogs are allowed (thought yet to bring ours )but what makes this gem is the freshly prepared food. All made to order and with fantastic vegan/veggie options. In our first visit we enquired if any cakes were vegan and although they weren’t the lady said she could rustle one up for us if we had time or to ask her when we came in next time..how great is that?. The salad bowls in particular are recommended and from personal experience a great hangover cure!

Warm, friendly, good food in a nice environment, great for foodies to pick up a gew treats too. Very popular with locals, but never feel like you are being rushed out.

Stopped for a quick coffee and sandwich (both lovely and good value) but ended up buying lots of Xmas prezzies - chocs, gin, Italian biscuits...... Proprietor very helpful, friendly and professional. Whitley Bay is lucky to have this.

Looks interesting from the outside. Deli section looks enticing however lunch itself was disappointing. Opted for Brie, bacon and cranberry on ciabatta and although the filling was very generous it was cold. This resulted in a soggy, unappetising sandwich. (Cold, soggy ciabatta is not to be recommended).

Great little place, loads of choice, freshly made salads sandwiches and cakes. Lots of deli items to buy as well.

We stopped here for breakfast before we set off on a long drive to Dover and it was so good. Everything was excellent, freshly cooked, tasty bacon and pancetta served on a lovely fresh poppy seed bun. Delicious coffee and friendly service. I have also stopped recently for a foodie gift and it was great as they have such a good selection and she loved the products especially the coffee.

Also available to buy a great range of foods from the deli counter. A wide variety of pastas, oils and other 'deli delights' for the discerning customer. If this type of food floats your boat or if you just feel adventurous make sure you take time out to visit Park View Deli. A modern welcoming and friendly atmosphere awaits you. Surprisingly only because, as you come in from the street, you get little idea of what is on offer. We chose our lunch from the list of Specials and we were very happy with the results; generous helpings, very well put together.

I have visited this place many times and it never fails to deliver the food is excellent the deli produce is wonderful as is there chutneys and Jams etc the only problem is everything is so good.

This is the second time I have visited; the first for breakfast and second for lunch. Absolutely amazing food. Healthy and tasty. My mum is tea obsessed...she said it's the nicest English breakfast tea she's ever had out in a cafe/restaurant. Nice staff. Will definitely return.

I have visited Park View Deli twice on a return visit to Whitley Bay and was very pleased to have found it! Lovely fresh food, plenty of Vegan options and great value for money. Great playlist too 😉.

Went in with my daughter, who is Vegan. We thought there would be a couple of things she could have, but no, she was spoilt for choice! It took us ages to decide what to have as everything looked and sounded really lovely. Only downside was we were too full for cake!!! We had to dash off to an appointment but we will definitely be back again.....and make room for cake!

Went here with an aged relative who is a wheelchair user. No complaints when we rearranged the furniture and overall staff were friendly, helpful, thoughtful and efficient. Food was excellent with sandwiches etc freshly made and a good choice, especially of things like local cheeses. You'd be hard pressed to do better anywhere.

We have popped in a few times now for coffee and cake on a Saturday afternoon. The staff are friendly and the cake is really really good! We haven't had a meal in here yet, but the menu looks nice for lunch.

Popped in after a shopping trip as said Vegan options what a lovely couple Gillian and Peter were, They couldn't do enough for us they had no vegan cake left were we disappointed no way Gillian offered to cook us fresh vegan muffins if we could wait 20 mins so glad we did delicious well worth the wait.so refreshing as a vegan to go somewhere and enjoy cuppa and cake Peter even kept us up to date with how long we had left to wait. Very enjoyable experience well worth a visit

What a fantastic little place hidden away on Park View, as loves of Italy who also have a home in Umbria, this place was a great little find. We popped in for lunch, mixture of great cheeses and meets along with a nice bottle of red Italian wine. The couple who run the place were welcoming and made us feel very welcoming. I strongly advise they go to Italy but more importantly don't change a thing, greal little business offering good service at a good price wtih great produce.

First timer. Welcome edition to coast eateries. Great selection and fresh. Well priced wine too. Leaflet says open to 8.30pm which could be handy for workers heading home in search of a tasty dinner. Good atmosphere.

Very nice, lovely decor and lay out, deli food and nice service. Good home made soup, cakes and looks like more substantial food available, which we will go back and try. Good coffee. Lovely to have another really good eatery in Whitley Bay at last.

There's no shortage of cafes in Whitley Bay, but this is a very welcome addition. The deli sells a nice selection of cheeses, meats, breads, etc, and you can order sandwiches, salads and platters using pretty much anything they have in stock. The platters for sharing are particularly varied and generous. Dogs are welcome, and it seems to be a popular place for a range of customers - families, professionals, holidaymakers. I tend to eat here when I am in the area, and rather wish I lived closer.

I visited hear 7 weeks after opening the salad I ordered to take away was fab. Went back the following week to get another salad for lunch (1.30 on a Tuesday) met with a quite abrupt we are closed! When I enquired as to why as it was lunchtime, the lady in the deli motioned to what was a delivery I think and said "stock taking" no apologies made or explanation other than she had had a big delivery. Not impressed I own a business in whitley bay and have a huge stock delivery once a week I do not close I climb over it and delve into it for my customers as they are what keep me in business.

Provides everything you would want - very, very tasty food, excellent and varied choice, very friendly, comfortable and efficient service. There is a wide menu but you can have whatever takes you fancy from the selection on display and offered - nothing is a trouble. In addition, there are salads and sandwiches made to take out and it was obvious the cafe was very popular - always a good sign. I would rate this very highly amongst the host of cafes in Whitley Bay - without doubt in the first three and, without a doubt, competing for top spot.

Beautiful little place full of soul and a wide variety of truly delicious locally sourced food. Even the pickiest eaters will be sated with the enormity of choice for sandwiches and cake, service is warm and very friendly, and portions are something to smile about! Excellent value for money.

Called in to grab a sandwich for lunch and WOW! Great choice of bread, fillings, pickles, relishes and salads. What a find. They also serve delicious cakes and have a well stocked fridge for cold drinks, wines etc. Everything is locally sourced and delilcious. We bought to take out, but it has plenty of seats to eat in and has a pleasant atmosphere. Cant wait to go back next week.

Wow the food here was amazing, can definitely recommend the Caesar salad and the sandwiches. The only one problem is when it is busy the service was quite slow and we all got our food at different times, it hasn't put me off but I think the owners may need more help as their food is so lovely it's bound to get busier!

Lovely salads and sandwiches to eat in or take out. A really good selection for carnivores, vege's and vegans and always happy to put together nice little lunches for children as well. Also do nice takeout boxes....

A bit different to the usual cafe style eaterie in Whitley Bay, which for me is what sets it above the rest. A lot of thought and effort has gone in to setting this place up, and it shows. Great sandwiches and salads, coffees and cold drinks. Well done Gillian and Peter, I hope your venture goes from strength to strength. Just what the town needs.

I've visited this deli a few times now and it is quickly becoming one of my regular places to visit. They don't just accept dogs; they actively welcome them with treats etc. The food is superb. Lovely fresh flavours and salads that are lovingly created using fresh, local ingredients. They are very flexible and will change any menu item to suit individual preferences and many items can be bought to take home e.g cheese, chutney, crackers etc.

Had been recommended by a friend so went for lunch with hubby on a Saturday and everything about it was delightful. Friendly service, delicious coffee and extremely high quality food. We had the sharing platter with fab local cheeses, beautiful salami, fresh ham and the most succulent olives. Piccalilli spicy and so tasty. Will be back as soon as I can. So good.

Since only been open a few weeks this Delli Bar has become our favourite lunch time place to eat. Staff(couple) have done their 'homework' and created a very well run /stocked haven for the local community. They bake their own delicious cakes and there made to order salads are excellent . My favourite salads are Greek and Flagas ( scores highly) For the busy office worker there is take away option. Last Friday went in for lunch and took away a portion of one of their delicious cakes. Hot beverages excellent quality Earl Grey Tea and Coffee. Choice of seating as there is down by the front door two 'easy' chairs and a coffee table. Formal dining ranges from two seater tables up to seating capacity for 'parties' of 10 on three tables. The Bar is always clean. The service is excellent and once you've finished your meal the empty plate is removed. Excellent standard of service from a very friendly couple. Long may you deliver a well 'rung' Delhi Bar
