hi jus a question about type of fat used to fry fish and chips. i would be helpful to have a sign up warning customers who prefer veg oil.also are meat products cooked separately to fish and chips.

Lovely fish and chips. Sadly, I stopped going because they used newspapers for the final outer wrapper. More often than not part of the fish & chips were touching the newspaper (I did not think this was hygienic) I used to see the newspapers stacked on the floor as I was waiting in the queue. If they have stopped using newspapers I would be delighted and definitely go back. The fish and chips are delicious and a good local chippy is great to have.

I have often found that a good indicator of the quality of any given Fish and Chip establishment, is the smell it emits when you are nearby. I have passed this place many times on the way to Lockwood station, and every time I have thought "I must make the effort to visit this shop some time, it smells right. And let me tell you my friends, I am glad i did! Absolutely delicious Fish and Chips even after being stuffed in my bag for the walk home, wrapped in newspaper as they were, a rare sight these days. Give em a try, you won't regret it.

A lot of people, around the world, think and believe they can make good fish and chips. Ive seen it attempted in a lot if places, here there and the other places, even Canada, to inescapable failure. Nothing against trying to replicate a meal you love, keep on trying but its hard to do. In yorkshire, fish and chips is serious business, if its not top notch, then "Man Dont Care about all dat". I wish i was rich enough to buy this business and pay the same staff & whoemever they felt was good people to join their staff team to work 24/7 (which all necessary holidays off and birthdays off etcetera) because, because, be-fkn-cause This is The Best Chippy, of All Fkn Time. A Hall of Fame Fish and Chip shop, yall better appreciate the great work these ladies do man, the food is amazing.

We need a new list of superlatives, for Park Road Fisheries. It's a bit out of my way, but, oh so, worth the travel. Love the 'oldy' and the staff...amazing and with that old Yorkshire charm. See you all again soon.

My new favourite fish and chip shop! Just been given a lovely cup of tea and sat outside, watching the world go by. Lovely, smiley, friendly, welcoming staff. Definitely will be back next week!💖
