Nothing like a Chippy that tastes of nostalgia! I took a chance on this place, after going to another Fish & Chips joint around the corner. For me, the fish is cooked just right and tastes like the fish I used to get when I was a little kid. The gentlemen running the place are very friendly and warm. Ten out of ten for me!

Chips weren’t like normal chip shop chips and not fantastic, battered sausage was ok but curry sauce was vile lumpy and had a horrid taste to it. Wouldn’t order again

The restaurant is 3 minutes drive down the road. The delivery could be seen on the map to follow the rider which went past my address all the way to Cranham (15 minutes away). Food was lukewarm on delivery and I asked the driver why he was in Cranham first when I’m round the corner as now the food is cold. He said he had two deliveries and it suited him better to go the one further away. This is extremely poor decision making and customer service when dealing with hot food! £17 cold food.

We've never used this takeaway before and everything was dealt with quickly. The chips were good but everything needed reheating and the batter on the chips was very soggy at the bottom. I doubt we'll order from here again.

The courier picked up and went straight past my road at 8.25 and sat in the brewery for 10 mins and then came to me. He claims his app didnt show my address. 2 time in a week. Think its time to switch to another delivery service

I like this place but it’s ridiculously expensive now. Think it cost almost £15 for fish and chips when we last visited.

First time we have used here. The food was delicious but unfortunately will not be ordering again as the portions were very small for the price you pay. Such a shame.

Have used this chippy regularly. Best around. However, used them on justeat for the first time, and it's more expensive with smaller portions. 100% worth making the trip to them. Food still excellent tho

Fish hard chips crispy would not go there again

Unfortunately for the first time since I’ve been eating from here I was really disappointed. The fish was so greasy that there were pools of grease in the wrapper and the chips were old and really not tasty at all! Had to throw the chips away and couldn’t finish the fish

First time I’ve ordered from this restaurant and honestly this was immense, all food was fresh, hot and tasted immense. Definitely found a new regular chip shop. 10/10

I go to this chippy about once a month & the food is good & definitely recommended. But I would not recommend the chips in pitta with salad for £8.50. We received no salad & a very small amount of chips inside one pitta bread, we will not order this again.

Somewhat unreasonably expensive. But the quality is far superior to anything I've had elsewhere. Rock fish, curry sauce and a curry roll. The fish was great. The curry sauce was larger than most, but it's 3 quid a pot, and by the looks and taste of it, filled out with what appears to be sage and onion stuffing. It works, but it is unusual, and you're not getting just run of the mill thick curry sauce. The curry roll was one of those generic orange filled 'chilli' rolls. It's not actually curry. It's chilli. It was however the tastiest of all this type I have tried, so it's still a knockoff curry roll, but at least it's superior to all the other knockoff curry rolls and acceptable given the price at 2.50. The fish was expensive, but it was the best fish I've had so far. Meaty. Decent crispy batter, flavourful, it had the consistency you'd get from a roast dinner meat. Very good. Gotta be fresh and fine quality fish so for £10, it was reasonably priced, though you could get cheaper elsewhere, and a larger portion, the premium here is justified for the quality is there to warrant it. I haven't tried the saveloys, battered sausage or kebabs, so I don't know yet if they are on par, but at 3:50 for sausages I do have some lingering doubts regarding just what exactly is so special about the saveloys and sausages to warrant nearly double standard competitor prices. Perhaps next time I will find out. Hopefully it's on par with their fish.

Have always loved park lane chippy. I usually get a small cod as they come quite big but just beware that if you order a small cod from this chippy then a very small is what you get. Also beware of the curry sauce. This is the second time that it’s mainly come lumpy and it’s a little annoying but apart from that the fish tastes delicious and the chips are exactly how I like them .

Freshly prepared on demand. Clean with a small waiting area. Portions are fairly small yet tasty.

The app would only allow you to select one salad item when ordering kebab so kebab turned up with just red cabbage and no other salad. So much watery ketchup on the burger the bottom bun was soaked through

Chicken burgers were cooked from frozen and weren't made from proper chicken, the fish wasn't that good and didn't come with any tartar sauce. I definitely won't be coming back

family size portion of chips to be just over a hand full My friend ordered a small portion of chips and got near enough the same size as my family portion Luck of the draw some chips are cooked some are still hard (undercooked If u want ur food swimming in oil this be the best place Waste of money Staff need to learn some social skills and maybe not to look like there mum has just spanked them

It's OK every time I go there they only have cod no other fish .but the fish is done very nice.

Ordered a chip roll, the first time I ate from here was great, this time no way, oil gave me heartburn and didn't taste fresh and the chips had a funny after taste like they had been sitting there for a while same as the oil. Would not eat here again

Local chippy. Food always tasty and cooked properly. Fast service by friendly staff. Usually busy in the evenings which, for me, shows they are popular with local residents and therefore good.

Advertises £5 cod and chips outside, but when inside, you are asked the size of fish you want, and charged much more, no mention of the £5 offer. Our medium fish was very small and tasteless (in other words the same size as the small for more money), and the chips were soggy. I was a new customer, and asked for 2 portions of chips (£3.80), but there was a cheaper family size portion that would have been the same or bigger that I was not offered. These are business people who have never had fish and chips as their native dish, so do not have the expertise to cook them. The only thing good about the place was that it was clean, almost spotless, so as to highlight that as a selling point.They have adverts everywhere about the fish being special, just been caught, Marie piper potatoes etc. The fact is, that the fish and chips are substandard, and they are just after your money. Avoid at all costs.

9:32pm Saturday night, and it's closed and has clearly been closed for a while. Obviously someone wanted to get home for match of the day. Absolutely disgraceful, shows utter contempt for its customer's work lives.

Great food best-tasting chips I have ever tasted. Portion size could be better though. I never notice the difference between large and small portions of chips or donner. Other than that, great food I recommend trying it at least once

It is my belief that the Park Lane Chippy sells sub-standard fish at top prices. These people are obviously not fishmongers but businessmen who are obviously in the wrong trade!

The chicken shish is value for money. Staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean, their chips are ok, the fish needs to be meatier and their burgers taste like flip flops smothered in burger sauce and onions. Overall, an average takeaway.

Very friendly staff. Chips are great and the fish has flavour. Salads are always very fresh. Always my first choice.
