Park Eat in Reading

New buffet system is really poor. There's no menu so you don't even know what you're paying for as you walk in. Real shame

Rude staff serving me, one of which couldn’t even speak english making communication very difficult. My pizza wasn’t even cut, tasted sub par and I was charged £1.50 for a 10p takeaway box. Terrible place

They charge 8+ pounds for a meal here, I wouldn't even pay 8 pence.

Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's awful. The disadvantage of a bunch of untrained students running the whole thing is that the quality unfortunately varies vastly depending on who is working... But generally it's okay.

Food and drinks available, alcohol and non-alcoholic. Medium sized selection. Nice place to relax in the evening with friends. There's also a pool table and TV that usually plays sports. There are two charging ports but they are far from seating area

Nice student bar with food and drink options. I spent many an evening here after tennis coaching a few years ago, but i don't go here very much any more. Because it's full of students the atmosphere is normally much better than a lot of pubs and bars in town! And the drinks can be cheaper. They have big screen projectors for watching sport and it is a very big place.

Great establishment for students, offers plenty of different cuisines. Prices are a little high, but not outrageous. Also present inside it is Park Market, which offers a quite varied range of foods, with plenty of vegan options and for those with dietary restrictions. Again, prices are a little steep, but very convenient if on a student meal plan.

Rude unhelpful staff when you first come in. Have to stand there in front of an empty dining hall and book a table online for absolutely no logical reason. To then have to track and trace as well, making booking even more pointless. Food options were dreadful and what they did have was such poor quality for the ridiculous price. For a university cafe it is really not good enough at all. No wonder it was completely empty.

They have a sign that says "if you want to increase your portion size just ask, as portions are intentionally small to prevent wastage, we'll be happy to help". I can promise you that they are never happy to help. They look at you like you asked for extra sauce at macdonalds. At the stir fry area, they ration the meat of the day as it typically runs out and you're left with the polystyrene "tofu". They need to stock more meat, you get 4-5 pinky sized slices of pork, beef or shrimps in a £7.00 portion. Usually they reluctantly add one more but this time they didn't. They don't offer eggs or any protein. As someone with iron deficiency, its making me wish I lived in a non-catered accommodation.

Awesome little bar. Went there after a night out just for one last chill drink, lovely vibes and big TV. Super convenient location, easy walk back to most accomadation.

10 pounds for 4 tables spoons of curry and rice = ridiculous.

Located on campus it is one of the few pubs that work almost all day. The selection of alcohol is good and it has the cheapeat prices on pints in the whole city. The indoor facilities are alright but most of the time it is a mess due to the students being disgusting and outdoor there isnt much of a view but there are enough tables to accomodate the ones that want to be outside. In conclusion Park Bar is an essential part of the every day life of a Reading University student.

Lively student pub with very friendly staffs.

This is a student facility on campus that is open to visitors. A pub restaurant and coffee shop combined with some outside eating area and very spacious interior lots of seats just make sure you bring your own coffee cup or pay 2-3 pounds for one as they won't supply disposable ones. As everywhere on the Campus very limited parking and permit only. The good meeting point as it's relatively easy to find.

Acceptable standard of food, good for a quick bite - often gets crowded at night

The food here isn’t that great compared to Eat the Square on campus. Pizza and Panini is always available, however, if you go even a few minutes after 7 pm, you will not be able to get dinner from the other counter as it all gets over really soon! The choice for vegan and vegetarian food is limited to just one dish each and if you’re either and you end up going late, you’re left with no choice but to opt for the pizza! The atmosphere in the place is really nice and is lively.

Quite nice, must remember you need a campus card to get drinks but food I think you can get even without campus card. Food is a bit on the expensive site and not that worth it.

Large, open student campus food cafeteria and a good, wide selection at the bar open untill 1am. Bring your student campus card with you to be served. The music can be loud at times. Football shown on the big screen.

Cheap student food, but very little healthy food after 8pm

Standard student bar. Sticky floors, and loud. It's an ok place to go and watch the sport with friends, or to go before a night out.

Prices are good, food is nice, and there is always somewhere to sit. However, I think it would be better if healthier food such as stir fry was served in the evening as well as at lunchtime.

Always very busy which creates a good atmosphere but the wait for service is always really really long. The food is pretty standard but the prices are low.

Nice food however there are often large queues and stock varies massively throughout the day so if you go at a bad time you will be left with limited choice

Great service and atmosphere. It's particularly awesome that I can play Mongolian Throat Singing on the jukebox.

Jukebox is the best part, although the selection for my favourite genre (Mongolian throat singing) is severely lacking. Pls update this genre, bar staff. It's 2017.

Whoever decided to update the 'jukebox' musical device is a smart man! Atmosphere has improved significantly. My only criticism of this establishment is that the staff are deeply dishonest and evasive when questioned on the running of the bar. Think they all need a trip to human resources to be honest!

Good but Whoopie Goldberg behind the counter is miserable with the fries.

Are you a student? Go there with your study friends :) But be careful, the music in the evening is way to loud! You're not a student? They won't let you in.

Good place to eat, main food and noodles closes quite early. Pizzas are very nice but aren't fast to make. Overall, a good experience. Music quite upsetting, played some dead tunes but brought it back with Tom Zannetti.

Good location, open all week. Food is varied.

Excellent options for eating. Recommend when you have to use your student credit.

Cheap drinks good place to meet up! Food isn't so great tho
