After being a regular customer of Döner & Gyros for some time, I must say, the recent experiences have been disappointing. The quality and consistency have taken a nosedive. During my last visit, I ordered the mixed Doner, only to find the chicken tasted off, resulting in an upset stomach the following day. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I returned for a Berlin Doner, but alas, the stomach upset persisted. Adding to the dissatisfaction, the reluctance of the staff (young female) to provide sauces, which were previously readily available and was already in the bag with my order, was disheartening. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in both food quality and customer service.

Went for lunch at this place and got the menu handed with offer stating ‘Two for Tuesday’. However when ordering they declined to honour the offer as the menu is from their Taunton branch and they are using these menus as they don’t have their own…!

Food is not up to the mark and there competitions are far better than them. Before their doner was bigger but not they have cut all the portions I don’t know why meat quantity is very less. Bread was good before and now you can also see the bread But really dissatisfied with the food.

Chicken kebab was quite tasty, but the meat is shredded too much

Don't waste your time trying this place... the one time I managed to eat here the kebab was acceptable, however most times I've been met with someone barely speaking English who has eventually managed to convey they are taking orders for takeaway only, even well before 10pm... do yourself a favour and go somewhere like gdk

Tasty but too salty, couldn’t eat all of the kebab meat as a result. Cheesy chips were lively. All tastes fresh, but salt needs to be reduced.

Enjoyed a Sunday night falafel wrap meal.

I tried yesterday a dish called gyro platter was recommend by a staff working there he's Moroccan the guy he was extremely nice and professional he went out of his way to help my son who is allergic to certain types of food the food was was very fresh and juicy I am definitely going to get back soon and recommend the place for my friends.

We ordered 2 grand wrap and waffle fries and it’s 3 people who process this 2 order but what is unacceptable is the guy who is sweeping went inside to finish the wrapping of our our wrap without washing his hands and then when we went home and unwrapped the food it’s not properly made and there is hair on it. I immediately loose my appetite I did not eat the whole day and this is what I will get after paying 7£ wrap. Very unacceptable.

I ordered on uber for a power box and paid for extra meat. And they send me a standard portion..I call them to tell them what happened the person who answered the phone said it's not true and we are very busy so we are being careful. And I said I'll be happy to send a photo if that helps. He said please don't waste my time as I'm busy but come to the shop with it if you want. I think the owner needs to know that their staff is ruining their business and not giving the correct service.

Dried kebab and no taste or sauces with order I ordered 2 gyros platters meals and sides. This isn't authentic Greek or German kebab was very dry and hard pieces will not be coming again.

Food is unreal, probably one of the best kebabs I’ve had, along with great customer service from all the staff. Amazing restaurant, went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we were looked after.

Horrible food. The meat was very cold, fatty and chewy. Staff not helpful with menu. Cold and over priced I’ll go somewhere different next time

Overpriced and small quantity of options for familys, also Disgusting doner meat, no seasoning and tasted dry and rubbery, honestly speaking it was so rubbery It felt like I was chewing my own car tire. Therefore anyone looking for a good kebab, this Is not the place.

Excellent new takeaway and restaurant for doner kebabs, nice and funky interior really pulls you in. Menu items are not exhaustive and well priced.

I’d give them my best reviews, if you are like me who never liked doner before, I’d recommend trying it, this was really good! I tried there rice bowl with beef and power box chicken both were good and in generous quantities.. the lady was also very welcoming and generous! Alhamdulillah!

I'd ordered mix platter, collected from the resturant, meat was cold Chicken was full of fat with hardly any meat on it, beef quantity was almost nothing, bread was hard and the portion was not worth the price, no utensils no sauce, save you money. If I could give half a star I would.,

I ordered chicken with cucumbers and tomatoes but i get tomato and cucumbers with little bit chiken you can do better

Their garlic sauce is to die for but salt content is too high in their meat. I've had donor and quesadillas , both extremely salty 😐 chips were nice and fresh. Also very less meat in the donor.

It was a very tasty meal however its a shame they didnt add more vegetables to the options, service is good definitely recommend! The time we had to wait for our food was only 10 minutes which is quite quick!

Staff were not helpful. Food portions were small. Quality of food was below standard Cost was two high. Better food across the road at Palmyra. Where I will go next time.

Noticed Doner & Gyros while passing by. The interior looks modern and great to attract customers. As we were ordering our food, we noticed a unhappy customer leaving his food after a few bites, and walking out the takeway shouting out the food taste disgusting. We walked over to look at his food as, to why he wasn't happy and noticed he had ordered the berlin beef doner meal - The doner looked dry and not appetising ( Shown in picture). We continued with placing our order despite the drama. We ordered the chicken wrap and Berlin chicken doner. Unfortunately the food taste nothing but salty and bland! There was hardly much chicken in the bun, the bun was stuffed with salad. We ended up disposing the food after a few bites, it didn't taste good at all! It was a waste of food and money. The food was a straight road to high cholesterol and high salt intake. We felt like little kids forced to eat something we didn't like, trying not to waste it. We tried and it wasn't for us. I've taste food from German doner kebab, and other kebab takeaways that taste delicious! Unfortunately Doner and Gyros isn't for us. We wish the business all the best.

Chicken donor meat is tasteless

A bad version of GDK, don't bother. The chicken doner meat just tastes peppery, and doesn't seem to have any of the other spices you usually get in chicken doner. The beef is just bland. Sauces and dips aren't great either. It was just generally not very enjoyable at all.

The place was clean and nice, staff very friendly but the chicken gyro the meat was very salty don't think I would buy again.

I recently visited this doner shop and was blown away by the delicious food and excellent service. The Berlin doner was one of the best I've had, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting, and I left feeling completely satisfied. I highly recommend this doner shop to anyone in the area looking for a tasty meal. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I will be sure to repeat in the future.

It is very cheap here in terms of portions and the quality of the dishes served, a bucket of fries with cheese is filled with chips and pouring cheese. From today it is my favorite kebab 🤗😍

Been twice in a week now due to world Cup games. Delicious fresh food quick service. Only had takeaway so far and all served in cardboard so can recycle. Highly recommend.

I liked their halal stuff. Try their happy hour menu monday to friday at £4.99 with a drink in some of their selection. Its just outside Broadway mall in RG1 central reading,uk

Looks fresh and clean. Staff were pleasant enough. However. My mum meal was cold, not lukewarm, COLD. Chips were in a McDonald's type box, they were hot but horrible because they were re-fried at least that's what they tasted like . They don't give you options of what sauces they put on, they just put them on. Very, very messy and difficult to eat but no serviettes, handwipes or eating utensils. Packaging is very nice and slick, makes me wonder if half of the over the top price is due to their packaging. Serving size is quite small. Very small actually. I needed to east something else after eating this. Far too much sauce and nowhere near enough meat, very stingy The drink selection is very poor. Well over priced in my view, more of a snack than a meal This was my first time eating from there. I did see that they do falafel bowls there so I am tempted and may possibly give them a second chance but at the moment chances of that are low based upon my first experience

Very clean shop but a carbon copy of German Doner franchise as seen on Friar Street and the food side of the product is nowhere as good, this is not a slight on the staff as they seemed a lovely bunch. The food product is packed nicely and is on our par with across the road and is as good as anywhere I've seen, just ashame about the substance

Beef kebab was chewy and very little portion of kebab over the massive chips portion. No seasoning at all and chewy food … even fries were low on quality … avoid this place

You need to realise that people come to these doner places for meat and not fries or lettuce or bread, all we want is a portion with a lot of meat and a little bit of salad and less chips and then you will get good reviews as your portion sizes are shockingly small for the price people pay for them. Nobody will spend £7 or £9 for a tiny bit of meat and still be hungry when they walk out of the shop.

We’ve been there this week, took us more than 25 minutes to get our order. Cold chips and small portions of meat and tooo much sauce. In a plater there was 80% of fries, 10% onions and 10% of meat. Bad service as the food was ready but not body delivered. Never going there again.

Didn't enjoy my meal.. Place is nice and service too. But the fries were thin and tasteless (better to have chunky chips for flavour with meat). And the beef donner meat was very salty. Portion sizes are small. Unfortunately i wouldn't return.

Very ordinary food with very small portion of meat in a portion. Meat was cold and no sauces were given separately.

The meat is cut very thick and not seasoned and the wrap is very dry as it doesn't have any sauce. We had to wait 20 minutes as they were changing the chicken roll and they did not tell us when we ordered.

Hands up I'm not a doner eater. The thought of that grease mess you see. But I am definitely a convert. No sign of grease in sight. Just plenty of fresh healthy food, Definitely recommend the beef melt in your mouth. Treat your self to a take away or dine in. You won't regret it.

Delicious doners & gyros, wonderful service and a very nice ambiance, topped with reasonable prices. There is something for everyone in this place. Meat served is Halal & you have choices from beef, chicken, shrimp & falafel that comes with a variety of salads, fries & rice. 🥗 🍚 Enjoyed it at lunch for a discounted price 👍🏻

Ordered via Deliveroo and it’s awful. No sauce on the kebab and the smallest portion of meat I’ve ever seen in a kebab and chips. Should have stuck with GDK!

Doner size like a sandwich, no tissues on tables, no salt to chips, I think they should use lamb meat instead of beef.
