Parissi is my favourite spot in Brixton. No it's not the cheapest but *everything* is home made and top quality. The cakes and pastries, the lunchtime frittata and the salads are all amazing. Spiros the owner is always there, he works hard and he really cares even if he's not always the friendliest! The staff are lovely and it's just the best place to catch up with friends or linger with coffee and a book. It's cosy inside, with more tables out back in the hidden garden. A really special place.

We called in for breakfast and were very pleased with our experience. The food was tasty, the staff welcoming and the garden was a lovely little spot to relax. We chose shaksuka and baked eggs, both were tasty yet the baked eggs had the edge. The garden area has been screened off from the rest of the car park to create a peaceful little spot to sit. We knew our dishes would take a while to prepare and had allowed plenty of time luckily as we were there for about 90 minutes. This was the most expensive brunch we've had for a while, probably because we followed the recommendation and added an extra to each dish, also the 12.5% service charge compounded that (I would usually choose to tip 10%).

Excellent!!! Been back many times, sampled a lot on the menu, with a variety of friends/family. Attention to detail and flavor is of the highest standard, coffee is excellent, and the staff great. Hidden gem for sure ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Undeniably the food on offer is great, but I have to say every time I visit the staff are rude and not welcoming. I understand that weekends can be busy but they could at least see this as a positive and try to be welcoming accommodating and polite to customers. The staff often argue or speak rudely to each other which kills the vibe in my opinion. Secondly, this half filled coffee was a bit crap...

Maybe it's just because I live Up North and am used to reasonable prices, but whilst this cafe was lovely, with good coffee and adequate (but not exceptional) pastries, I did have a bit of a "how much!?" moment when charged nearly £20 for two cappuccini and two cups of tea, and 4 pastries. Also a bit odd that we were invited to sit in the outside area (which was pleasant enough) when there were empty table inside. Nice enough place, but a slightly weird experience

I had two dishes I wouldn't normally choose. Both were excellent. Wonderful salad with loads of roast vegetables. Then a really exceptional Basque cheesecake - not stodgy or clawing, but beautifully light and moreish. It's all home cooked - you can see members of the team preparing the food - it's original, and it's terrific quality.

Great coffee with fresh orange and pomegranate juice followed by a choice of freshly cooked/prepared dishes make this my favourite place for lunch/brunch. It is worth paying a little more for great quality and a relaxed atmosphere.

I went on recommendation of a friend. Be aware of ordering anything with Pecorino Romano! I was served a very small portion with two miniature slices of bread (the end bits), a few sliced plum tomatoes, a quarter of an avocado, half an egg and a finger size layer of rocket...all for the modest price of £11.70. And no-one likes to be patronised. I was told that due to the high price of this particular cheese, everything was weighted and cost accordingly! Well, it didn't say this on the Menu, when I placed my order! So, the menu was misleading. I should have been warned in advance to make an informed choice! No apology, just made me feel small.. Having travelled and lived in Italy for the last 10 years! I won't be stopping again in Parissi!

Located a few doors down from Dogstar slightly away from the main Brixton village, it has several seats inside and a cute courtyard out back. I have been struggling to find a breakfast/brunch place that doesn’t just do eggs Benedict! The menu has so many choices from french toast, shakshuka to creamed eggs. Everything is freshly made and the gentleman who was working there was real friendly and engaged in conversation with all the customers. The deli counter with cakes, salads and sandwiches looked delicious, so I will be returning to sample these! The prices are a little steeper than some other places in Brixton with similar cuisines but the food is of a high quality. I would recommend getting there when it opens on weekends to guarantee a seat.

We visit from Portugal regularly to see our son in Brixton and have been regulars for over 2 years. The owner Spiro is the most sociable, informed and friendly guy you could hope to meet. A healthy vegetarian menu with the fabulous Herman in the kitchen. Please don't miss this place if you're in Brixton/ Herne Hill oh nearly forgot the decor is really artistic and elegant. The small hub makes it friendly and they have outside seating in nice weather. Spiro deserves to be successful he works very hard to make all his customers feel part of a special atmosphere.

Walked past and decided to pop in for a coffee not really expecting anything just needed xmas shopping fuel. The coffee is AMAZING, its the best coffee i’ve ever had! So we decided to stay for food which equally blew us away. I had the baked feta (still thinking of it) and husband had the shakshuka which had a kind of cream base, so tasty! Wanted to keep it a local secret but have told all our friends! X

What a great cosy place to have great food with friends and family. Loved it and the owner and staff are brilliant. Was there for a private event after closing hours so the whole venue was ours - great space - the food was simply delicious from the canapés to the frittatas to the pastel de nata - my absolute fave! The music was on point too! Would definitely recommend.

Overall, Parissi is a rather attractive place. I loved the mouth watering food, the cake selection and the decor - not so much the service which was uneventful. I have one suggestion for cafes and restaurants. Why not charge a one off fee for unlimited, chilled tab water? Make it self-service so that one doesn't have to beg for the waitress to bring yet another thimble of lukewarm water.

Parissi is small, with a limited takeaway selection and short(ish) sit-down menu ... but Do Not let that put you off!The food is really very good, as are the drinks (and wine/cocktails).I'm lucky enough to stay not far from Parissi each time I'm in London and simply cannot keep away :-)They do A-mazing Portuguese Egg Custard Tarts (which go into Granny's Christmas stocking!)Last thing: I don't eat meat or eggs, but Parissi has enough variety that I, and my omnivorous friends/family, have no problem finding a selection of things to eat.Go, you won't be disappointed :-)

A very chilled independent cafe that makes excellent coffee and serves absolutely delicious food including pastries, cakes and small plates as well as some great breakfast options. They are also open in the evening and it's a cosy spot for a cocktail. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for - everything is delicious and well worth it for a treat. Staff are really friendly.

I'm a bit reluctant to write an honest review of this place, because I don't want them to become so busy that they always run out pastries, but Parissi really is a wonderful little find. Everything is freshly made and you see it all being brought out of the kitchen, which means that the pastries are often still warm when you buy them. Larger breakfasts and brunches are pretty great too, especially the fennel sausages and baked eggs. And the coffee is wonderful and very lovingly prepared. I would recommend this place to anyone, just make sure you leave one cinnamon swirl for me.

Parissi is my stop in the morning for the most delicious coffee in South London. All the bakes are excellent (cakes, custard tarts, pastries) especially the plain croissants which are crispy but somehow spongey light inside like buttery savoury cake. Carrot cake with cream cheese and lemon icing! Cinnamon swirls! All handmade in the back of the shop by charming proprietor Spyros. You can lunch or dinner here too. Special mention for the babaganoush and the bouyourdi (baked feta) YUM. And they do cocktails! What's not to like? Give a go you won't regret it.

the food was alright, not as nice as when we visited the restaurant - and fortunately I like Tarka Dahl as I received this with my Biriyani rice instead of a Biriyani curry. didn’t work as well though.

Avoid!!! I went after many years to this place with a group of friends to dance and listen to Latin music, when I arrived it is £10 the entrance was fine but when I went to the bar to buy my drink they charged me for the service charge every time I bought a drink!!!! How can it be possible for them to do that!! I understand that if they are serving you at the table, but in the BAR where many only enter to have a drink it is a ROBBERY
