Paris Match in East Ayrshire

Tasty food and great value for money. Not too expensive. Staff are nice. Crepes and Tempura are delicious. Had and always will be a classic Kilmarnock pub.

Stopped off for dinner on a Sunday, Pleasant staff,,Good choice of foods I opted for the veg curry and was not dissatisfied a good portion and tasted fantastic, From ordering to getting the food wasn’t too long at all. Definitely worth a visit I will be back to try more of whats on offer soon.

An often overlooked bar and restaurant. We quite enjoyed our food, it's pub grub but good pub grub. I gave this review an extra star because of the customer service, very attentive! A special mention to the waiter Ewan 👍

Went here for burgers during the EOHO and it was very good. The service was a bit random, but very friendly and the few mistakes with orders were corrected immediately. The burgers and desserts were all good and even at full price they would have been value for money - we will definately return.

First time here in four years. It has changed quite a bit. Very dark inside so sat in a room with two windows. Menu was typically pub food. Main meals £9.95. We chose chicken fajitas and onion rings to share. Fajitas arrived on sizzling platter with salsa, cheese, salad etc. The only disappointment was that by the time we're on our second tortilla the chicken was burnt.

Made it very difficult to make a complaint which has led to this review. Could have been delt with in 5 mins but they prefer to ignore there customers

My calzone was disgusting! no mozzarella or chillies and the bolognese was also awful! I contacted the restaurant and they didnt seem to care and offered no solution. they also replaced veg tempura with veg pakora without asking me. I would have preferred a refund as I dont eat pakora. out of a £20 meal I could only eat the chips.... and they were not great either.

Great quiz night on a Thursday, always backed with teams and the host is a good laugh. Drinks and meal deals are good too

Never will I be back in this establishment due to lack of good customer service, staff have poor communication skills and attitude is disgusting!! Stay away people!!!!!!!!!

Been in a few times with the little ones since it opened back up allways been one of my favourite places to go in town staff are great cajun crepes are delicious and my little girl loves the unicorn sundaes so glad thay kept the car!

Family get together for my wifes 40th Birthday Staff were fantastic! Meal was really good staff got us in the party mood with a round of Birthday shots on them made our night atmosphere was great.

Hadnt been in for a while as it was a bit dated and not very appealing but has recently been refurbished so thought I'd give it a go what a difference lovely decor!Cajun Pasta was to die for had a few cocktails recommended by the waitress staff couldn't do enough for us will definitely be back to try the gins selection!

Just been to Paris Match for lunch . My daughters pannini was tiny and we were both given some limp lettuce on the side which was meant to be salad . When we told the waitress we were not happy she said nothing and nothing was even taken off the bill .I t is the worst lunch we have had ever. Disgusted.

Mi marido y yo solía venir a Paris Match el domingo por la mañana para tomar café y croissants 31 años cuando abrió por primera vez y si nos conocimos. Volvimos a la zona la semana pasada para visitar algunos de nuestros viejos cazas y nos sorprendió que París Match aún estaba allí, y aún más sorprendente) (parecía exactamente el mismo! La decoración no ha cambiado, sigue siendo el coche en el tejado, carteles antiguos y el logo en la pared. Nos encantó!

The food is wrotten a junkies squat is cleaner and the staff sell drink to any one aged or not I will not be back

Fui con mi marido para un bocado para comer en casa y no nos decepcionó. Mi marido tenía el shaslik tuve el caguan pollo crepes. Nos comentaron que el shaslik llevaría un poco más de tiempo, lo cual no fue un problema ya que la comida era la pena la espera. Sin duda volveremos, ya que nunca he tenido una mala comida y el servicio es siempre bueno.

Disappointed with the takeaway meal we had, the starters were terrible, the morcilla was very greasy and the nachos were inedible, the main courses were better though, enchiladas ok and the Cajun penne pasta was quite tasty. Won't be back in a hurry.

Fuimos allí para cenar temprano con mi marido, hijastra y la comida era excelente y que incluye la comida a los niños. Los niños comen gratis a menos que es la pizza, pero incluso entonces no es caro. El servicio ha mejorado desde mi última visita, ya que era mucho más rápido. Es una muy buena relación calidad-precio y las bebidas no son demasiado caros. Sin duda volveremos ya que te gusta probar sus tapas la próxima vez

Una vez - legendario coinciden.

Fui con un grupo de 6 a la hora del almuerzo. No estaba ocupado por otro día en mesas de 2/3. Tomó años para llevar nuestra comida fuera unos 30 minutos o incluso más tiempo y luego la chica trajo uno por uno. El tiempo de la última persona que llegamos allí el almuerzo la primera persona era casi terminado.

Sólo nos mudamos aquí y no puedo encontrar una que me gusta llevar hasta ahora. Y la comida era nachos gratis increíble!! Lo recomiendo altamente. Ordenados minuciosa comer solo y no me di cuenta de era un extra de £1 a Crosshouse. Era la caza...

A favourite haunt of my youth was revisited for a bite to eat and glass of wine before our daughter's dance display at the Palace Theatre. We were welcomed and seated quickly, with menus offered straightaway and our drinks order taken. A very tasty and reasonably priced Sauvignon Blanc set the tone for an excellent early supper. We both opted for curries - my wife the Korma and the South Indian Garlic Chicken for me. Both were excellent and the naan bread was lovely too. It has been a long time since I last visited but we will definitely be back soon.

Ordered a take away through just east last night and it is undoubtably the best take away I've ever had. Paris match even have us free nachos for some reason, thank you. Both meals were brilliant ,Will order again :)

Attended on 10/3/16 for a lunch with my partner. Food was really good and as a regular customer met our expectations. When I asked for the bill, the waitress explained that the card machine was not working I informed her that I only had £23 cash on me (the bill was £33). Instead of offering to accept the £23 that I had on me, the waitress asked me to go to the cashline!!!! I was previously a regular customer however have no intention of returning due to the deplorable customer service. The problem was on their behalf which was unavoidable on their part however they looked to customer to solve the issue thus losing valuable customers in the process. Will not be back and will be informing friends and family.

Great wee place for a few drinks and a bite if you're not after anything too fancy. Nice and quite cosy little place with a great bar and selection of drafts and spirits. Staff very friendly and can have a genuine conversation with. I always feel very much at home and yet it seems to be very quiet when I've been. Hasn't changed in years and a good stop on a night of with friends etc

Went here after a wee search around Kilmarnock. Had nachos for starters, came out in 5 minutes! Tasted great!! My wife had tapas for her main, they all were great portion size and great choice! I had chicken fajitas that were amazing! Service was great and food was tasty, all you can ask for really!!

Went along last night for some dinner with my friend before a night out. We had a good meal good atmosphere as well and fairly priced. Would go again.

Went here last night with my partner and my nephew and his partner and had a really enjoyable meal. The menu has changed but there is still plenty of choice. We had to wait a wee while for the food but it was definitely worth it and it was very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

This restaurant serves good wholesome food at a reasonable price. Staff are very helpful & friendly.

The stairs, oh dear if you are not able to get up the narrow stairs then you will miss out. Lovely wee place for a drink or snack. the meals are great and the staff are attentive to your needs.The NACHOS are to die for. great. Prices are good too.Will go again soon.

Contemporary restaurant in town centre. Ideal for snacks / pizza /pasta / burgers etc. Popular with younger set. Restaurant is upstairs and there is no lift so not really suitable if you have mobility problems.

Visit regularly for a drink, always happy with the service. Food is also good, honest pub grub that is great value for money.

Had Sunday lunch in this long estsblished cafe / bar . 2 of us had the burgers and they were good but the big surprise was my brother in laws indian dish . This was off a section of the menu with about 5 choices on it and looked very good . I believe this is down to Indian owners and will be my choice on my next visit . Overall not great decor etc but food that most people will find enjoyable and affordable .

Hadn't been for a long time. Food was horribly overdone. Starters were fine. Mains were vile. Could have complained but teenage waitresses were not to be torn away from their in-depth analysis of boyfriends. No atmosphere. Shall not return.

Having been eating here for many yesrs its went well down hill ordered soup and sandwich soup was ok what you got no bread which you were ment to get sandwich very poor no salad was not worth money staff nice place was quiet for weekend no wonder please sort out problems

I went with friends to Paris Match last night for something to eat and a few drinks. The food was really good and the prices were even better. If buying vodka your better off getting doubles. Would definitely recommend it and will be going back very soon.

Hadn't been here for some time however it has stayed much the same but with a bright new 'smile' thanks to a fresh coat of paint. It has that distinct Gallic feel to it and is comfortable with a good range of seating and visual appeal with pictures and appropriate ephemera. The menu is not on the cheap side and portions are not large, however the variety is very impressive and the meal deals are reasonable. A friendly waitress and good competent service.I had an interesting ice cream with my dessert that was more 'ice than cream' with large crunchy crystals in it that alginate additives prevent and the only way they can get there is if melted ice cream is refrozen. Another reviewer also hinted that all may not be well in the kitchen regarding food standards.The restaurant is right next to a car park, the bus station is not far away and the station is a short walk to the north. It is a bit hidden, however it is right next to the main shopping centre.

Went for lunch and had a full and varied menu ranging from sandwiches and baguettes to main meals. I ended up ordering baked potato with chicken curry. The curry was tasty and had plenty of chicken. It had a reddish colour in the curry, but was not as spicy as I anticipated when I first saw it. The haggis and cheese baguette was superb. The downside was the location was quite cold so could have been doing with the heating on, but the coffee was nice and came with a nice biscuit. Very reasonably priced as well so would have to recommend.

Have been here several times over the years and find it a very comfortable, friendly pub. The food is good, prices good value and service great. A pub well worth a visit anytime.

I went to Paris Match today with my wife and we had chicken chasni (curry), which was very tasty yummy and I found all type of beers and whiskey there so all this made our evening a special evening ...Curries are highly recommended there ......will be back there soon

I visited Paris match last Saturday with my partner and was amazed with the fantastic food with the excellent service. I selected well done sirloin steak from the menu and I could say that I never had that delicious steak before. Staff gave me very warm welcome and attended with full attention. Environment of Paris match is awesome.Its a small cosy pub in Kilmarnock town center. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Paris match.

Ordered pate to start. Came with cheap bread toasted which would generally be ok....however it also came with mould!! When I complained the waitress was very apologetic and went to speak to the manager. The least you would expect as a gesture of good customer service would be a personal apology from the manager however he never showed face at all and sent the teenage waitress back out to tell us we didn't need to pay for it!! Needless to say we settled out bill and went elsewhere for our main course. There are plenty of nice places to eat in Kilmarnock....so avoid Paris match at all costs!!

My daughter and I went for lunch on a Saturday. Although only 6-7 tables were occupied the service was really slow. We waited 30 mins from ordering until our food was served. The food was not what was described on the menu. My daughter ordered the Chicken Burger- it wasn't a burger but 2 pieces of cheap chicken fillets which were dry and unappetising.I ordered the Cheesy Chicken which according to the menu was served on a bed of salad. It came with a mixture of carrots, cauliflower and broccoli. There was a handful of soggy lettuce under the chicken. The chicken was smothered in cheese that had the consistency of melted plastic and the chicken was, like my daughter's, cheap dry fillets.The staff were very pleasant & cheerful but the food was disgusting.I would definitely not eat here again.

I`ve been to Paris Match a few times over the years mostly because its been handy and cheap. I heard it had been taken over and that the menu had been updated so went with friends last night. It was the same slightly tired cafe bar; the same easy, relaxed, atmosphere; the same friendly service, BUT, the menu was new and the food was FANTASTIC! All 4 of us ordered from the Grill part of the menu and all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We thought it was still very good value. Between us we had 2 starters, 4 main meals, 10 alcoholic drinks and 1 soft drink - total bill £76. Great value.I will definately be visiting Paris Match more often. Well done Paris Match!

I been on Friday at Paris match with my friends. we really enjoyed Karaoke night there and food was fantastic as they have introduced more than 30 new dishes to old menu so I had peri peri chicken.it was really amazing very very nice décor as well...it was packed on that night so everybody should try new dishes....Great

Traditional fare but well presented and tasty. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere on a lunchtime. Chillicheeseburger is a personal favourite here.

I've been in and out of Paris Match for over 30 years, since before even Jack & Michael bought it, which is A VERY LONG TIME AGO.There's very little to decry about itm as it;s been so consistent through generations of people I know and all say the same within my earshot.If I was being picky, some of the cracked floortiles need replaced, but that is all.Food and beer is great and fantastic value for money.

Food is quite nice. It did get rather busy when we were in (lunch time). Tables were very close together and therefore not much privacy.

this is where you go at luch time for a snack ,or a light meal. It is a bit retro french with a citroen car being used as one of the props .the bar is ambient at night and carries a good selection of lagers and wine.all in all a relaxing place to spend some time.

I hadn't been here for years and visited as an alternative place for a drink. It was a school night (Tuesday). The place was empty except for a small group playing depressing music on the juke box. We soon changed that wit gaga, madonnas and Kylie. All in all a good pub.

Paris Match badly needs decorated, and generally spruced up. Used to be great place to drink and eat but looking very tired now. Food edible but unimaginative.

I have visited this bar many times over the last 15years with family and friends, I have always found the staff and owners very friendly. They are brilliant with the kids. The food is very good, especially the salads....which are huge and always well presented. In reference to the 2 bad reviews people should remmeber this is a pub. Fab for a quick bite after some shopping. The decor is very 'funky' with a whole car on one upper shelf.

I have been attending this place for years. The standard is consistent. Good atmosphere, great value food and friendly service. The food is quite simple but always great and well presented. Customers all ages and a good family atmosphere.

We went to this place for the first time what a horrible time we all had the place was cold and dreary the food was of a very low standard.The staff where all miserable.All together a very horrible play to eat.We won't to back.

I've been coming to Paris match for maybe 20 years, and I have to say, this place hasn't changed a bit! There's something about that that I love.It's quirky, a little bit chic, completely different and fun.It's not a romantic night out kind of place, it's the place you go to with friends, little bit stundenty, always a lovely cosy atmosphere.I visited on this occasion with a friend and our children. The food is good pub food, with no frills, but tasty. Our 10 year olds were delighted!It makes a refreshing change from slick bars with no atmosphere, this place is cool!

I was there today and I'll never be back the place is terrible I put my arm on the table and my arm stuck to it it just wasn't cleaned.The food was cold and of not good quality. I've had lunch in some fine eateries but this is not one of them.Save your time and money.
