Paradiso Pizzeria Hall Green in Birmingham

We pre-ordered 5 pizzas for over £60 today via Uber Eats at 4pm. At 5 pm I received a notification via the app that the order would arrive at 6.10 pm. A short time later I received another notification that Pizzeria Paradiso could not fulfill your order. I called the pizzeria directly and asked, they said he had to ask the chef. Then I received the answer. No order was received. I should clarify this with Uber.

If I knew that I be sitting under dusty plastic lemons (cringe) with bad lighting and paying top dollar for mediocre food, I would have said to my mates " oi you dobt wanna go there". Needs a face-lift. Take my advice spend some money, get rid of the pizza. And within 3 months do the new smoked meat fad, before that dies like pizza. Depressing visit, I really wanted to walk out as soon as I got there.

I had an Aberdeen Angus Beef burger with carelimised onion and tomato and it was cooked to perfection,nice atmosphere quiet but as already stated I wouldn't have minded having some wine with my meal. Pleasant staff,open cooking,and spotless

Too much cheese! You can't have one topping overpowering, it just don't taste right.

Good service. Food is okay. Plenty of vegetarian options and the entire menu is halal (the certificate is from Halal Italia). There are no kids options on the menu, but there are large teddy bears to play with.

Food was horrible, pizza was basically nan bread with pizza sauce! Pepperoni was perfumed and looked like chorizo. Garlic bread was garlic naan for £7 add cheese for extra £3.50!!! Crazy My son had small bowl plain pasta nothing on it was charged £10!! My children wouldn't eat food and sent it back wasn't offered a refund The whole experience was horrible would not recommend

Main dish is very delicious. Service is good and the waiter is nice. I would like to come here again if I travel to England.

Was very quiet at 6/7pm.on a Sunday, which is a shame as the food was delicious.

Very disappointing. My pizza was supposed to be mozzarella with aubergine and basil pesto. The base was chewy, loaded with thick yellow fatty cheese and the thinnest slivers of aubergine. My sisters pizza was equally unappetising and mums prawn lingini was tasteless. We ordered coffee, which was undrinkable dishwater. Worst pizza I have had in a retirement. Garlic bread was good!! Staff were friendly and helpful and only charged us for 2 meals, but we won't be going back.

Pizza and service was excellent, for a Saturday night it was a bit empty but I'm hoping this will improve with time. Good value for money , fresh ingredients , great decor. The only negative for me was that they didn't serve alcohol, but fully respect that this is their choice. We will certainly be going back, as a lack of a beer or two is out weighed by the marvelous tasty pizza.

Well i thought i would give the pizza place a try for the family. I don't like giving negative feedback but we had throw both pizza in the bin and i had get some more food. Maybe chaps the chefs had a bad day in the office.

Went for my bday on a Sunday. The place was very empty and we received a great service. The restaurant was decorated really well and food was delicious. Portions were huge, we took some back home. The waitress was very friendly. For anyone looking for some halal Italian food, I would recommend this place

overall it wasn't great. Service was decent but the food was mediocre. The pasta was dry and the special chips with truffle and parmesan were £6.50 with the smallest amount of parmesan and truffle! The prices are extortionate and they don't have the reputation to be charging this much. When the bill came we saw a 70p charge for sauces which we weren't aware of when asked "do you want sauce with the chips". The coffee was disgusting and for an italian restaurant is so disappointing. Staff handled the situation well and professionalism though. Although the interior and ambience is done nicely, they don't have parking which is another downfall.

Food is tasteless. Options of drinks are super limited. No alcohol is served in this supposed “Italian” restaurant. Garlic focaccia is quite literally just garlic naan bread?? Also, there’s way too many blinding lemons and lights inside. Staff struggle to talk and they check up on you every minute to a point where it just feels uncomfortable. I don’t recommend this place at all.

I really wanted to like this place going in, I do want it to do well and improve, and I would come back, so I'm giving it a 4. To start with the good - the pizza was great. I don't understand the moaners. It was delicious and I would recommend the Margherita - fresh and flavourful. The pasta dish I had was also nice enough, generous with the protein element, but - for future reference - it still left me hungry. Plenty of street parking at the time I came. Atmosphere - really great. Had the Sun been out and windows open I could imagine myself in Sorrento, not on Stratford Road. Tastefully decorated, clean and good sized tables, with some space to get around without crashing into chairs everywhere. The alcohol-free environment was also a big reason I came, it just felt more wholesome and family-friendly. Now for the critique. To be fair, the poor waiter who was doing everything single-handedly on a weekend evening never stood a chance. It took longer than needed to take our order, I felt bad for taking his time so didn't ask for recommendations, and drinks were out at the end of the meal. Again, not his fault. Even the chefs were bringing food out, bizarre, they must have felt sorry for him. The tiramisu was delicious but over £6 for the small portion made me raise an eyebrow. I had a bottled drink, so had about 2 glasses for the cost (£2.50 or so). My wife on the other hand had a juice - this came out of a carton which isn't an issue, but she had just the one glass for a similar price point. Thank goodness we didn't have ice in it or I'd really have felt cheated! MOST IMPORTANT I have saved till last - there are multiple dishes marked as vegetarian which contain (or would contain, unless you specifically ask not to) parmigiano reggiano. This is NOT a vegetarian ingredient. If the owners have managed to source a halal variety then all the better, but it still needs to be stated. I was very disappointed by this and many people will have been caught out with this unfortunate mistake.

Fairly quiet early week, yet there was a good atmosphere. Very welcoming, attentive, and friendly - always good if you're lone-dining. No alcohol served but very tasty fare. I'd had a starter (buratta - very nice) so had the bonus of taking away a couple of slices of my pizza - made a good next day lunch cold.

Popped in on a Friday evening for dinner. We both had pizzas, which were delicious, plus 2 enormous starters - very generous portions! Great service, nice decor, we enjoyed it a lot & would recommend.

We were very pleasantly surprised. Ncely presented restaurant with delicious food. Their Calabria pizza is yum and their Pollo picante con creama di fungi e truffle is yummier! Nutella pizza - definitely worth a try! Hamza our server and team were excellent - service with a smile and a spring in their step. Thank you. Shall certainly be visiting again.

Went to pizza paradiseo on Friday evening after reading reviews and thought we'd go check it out, finding the entrance was a bit awkward but walked through the car park and it was very quite was greeted by friendly female staff sat down by the window, looked through the menu and to be honest wasn't much in there my friend has eaten at Italian cuisine before and even though I get there going for the Italian theme and style its still in Birmingham, asked the guy for recommendations I was shocked he couldn't speak English properly nor could he understand it and he told me he don't know much about the menu completely shocked so went over spoke with the chef he told me either its chicken or beef, ordered 2 soft drinks the waiter poured our drinks into glasses for us which we didn't ask him to do and added the straws in which made them float up and he held them down with his fingers where we'd drink from on top of that he had long nails complete put off. Now to the pizza ordered a 11 and my friend ordered number 4 and some starters, the starters were terrible chips thrown onto a plate with some cheese and they didn't taste good at all, garlic bread didn't have any taste, pizzas were tasteless honestly I couldn't taste anything not much meat no flavour and oily we was very disappointed, 4 olives on my pizza not sure if pizza taste like this in Italy but this restaurant is Birmingham and its halal so they should take into account demographic thats going to be eating there not saying they should serve curry on a pizza but this wasn't right. Gave my feed back to the female staff who really didn't what say.

Sadly this was a let down. Staff were polite but really overbearing and wouldn’t leave you alone. Constantly asking if you need something or how the food was. Follow up is good, but this was just too much and interrupted our meal and conversation. The food was the biggest letdown. Honestly the pizza was fresh, but tasted no different to a frozen version from a supermarket. Flavours were lacking, and too much flour on the crust and base. Pasta sadly was undercooked (and I’m ok with al-dente but this was most definitely raw). I’m no Italian cook and have made better Alfredo at home. Menu felt very limited. Environment was okay, decor is a bit too much we were put on a table for two behind a pillar and people kept walking through because it felt ‘on the side’, we’d have been better off in the middle. Sad to say we won’t return or recommend, this was long awaited and we hope that it improves because it is clear that management are trying hard and have got a great location and vision for their establishment.

Excellent Pizza, excellent service. But an Italian restaurant without wine? They have to be joking. Perhaps this is why the place was practically empty on a Friday evening. I'm afraid we won't be returning.

Nice choice of Italian food - pasta pizza etc. decent flavours , nice atmosphere and beautiful venue. Was a little short staffed on the day we visited. Parking on streets nearby. Halal chicken .

I visited There last night with my family, obviously missed the point with no alcohol being served. Pizza was full of greasy cheese and all the pork was substituted for beef. You can’t do an authentic Italian carbonara with beef instead of pork cheek place is really nice inside to be fair but I won’t be returning as it’s specifically created just for Muslims

Nothing less than 5 stars. This is the best 100% halal pizza place you can trust. When I say 100% I mean it No alcohol. What an amazing experience. Truly amazing. The atmosphere. The decor. Cleanness. They say judge a restaurant on how clean the toilets are. Well they did not let us down. Open kitchen so you can see how they make the pizza. Hygiene is 100%. I have nothing but good to say about this place. The family was happy. Thank you. Guys.

Came here with the wife for the first time and it was fantastic.Authentic Italian Pizza.We had the mixed Beef pepperoni and chicken pizza and it was really good.The food is Halal.I would definitely recommend it, and will come back to try other items off the menu.

Brilliant food, excellent service and a brilliant atmosphere. Just wish they had a greater range of food but I understand the value of a smaller, higher quality menu.

Completely empty on a Saturday night.... Food was limited, they were out of a few things. Pizza was OK. My bottom was a soggy, shouldn't expect that from a 20 quid pizza. It did however come out quite quickly and the service was pretty decent. It's a no alcohol pizza place too. Won't be hurrying back.

One of the best Italian pizza i have ever had and especially it is halal, and I have to say that the service stuff were on point all of them were welcoming and helpful especially Amjad he was amazing.

It was an amazing experience, great food and great staff , I’ve tasted the real Italian food for the first time in the UK, it was great at whole and Sal was a great waiter and very welcoming.

The overall experience was really amazing, it is the first time we visited that place which was recommended by our friend, the atmosphere and the decorations are spectacular. The food taste and presentation was really good. Irene the young lady who served us with her lovely and friendly attitude made the experience even more good

The place looks lovely and the staff were very friendly. There wasn’t much choice of drinks which was quite maddening since it’s the first thing a customer is offered to order; there wasn’t any choice of alcohol and there wasn’t even Sprite, Tango or Fanta. The pasta is nice and tasteful but the pizza didn’t meet our expectations; the base was very chewy and the cheese tasted sickly. We let the waiter know that we didn’t enjoy the pizza and we got offered to try another one, we chose not too incase we didn’t like that either. We went on Mother’s Day and the restaurant gave my mom a plant on the way out which was a very nice gesture🙂 Overall, nice ambience and team of staff but the menu was limited and pizza was disappointing.

I’ll start by saying the food is really nice. But…. We booked a table to celebrate my 30th birthday in March. 12 people. We arrived to find the place doesn’t have a license so can’t serve alcohol and you can’t take your own. Not sure why you can’t take your own as I thought that’s what the whole point of bring your own… when the premises doesn’t have a license. So all in all, good food but I can’t believe it’s an Italian restaurant and not a drop of wine in sight! It was a Friday night and we were the only table there. Staff were friendly enough. One pizza arrived about 10 mins after the others so that was a bit disappointing.

Lovely food, service and great atmosphere

Went here a week ago. Restaurant was very quiet which is to be expected of a weekday. The decor was great, staff were attentive and the portions were generous and affordable. Will definitely be visiting in the future again.

Very lovely staff, amazing pizza, more than fair prices

The decor and marketing for this place is amazing however I think more time and effort needs to go into the menu as we tried 3 different pastas, a pizza, and 2 starters and nothing really stood out to us. Service wasn’t bad and presentation was very nice however the taste just didn’t meet expectations.

Décor is very nice and different. however the food was disappointing not many options and lacking in flavour i would say its not worth the money either. maybe is the food quality was good then it would be worth the money?

The service there, I think her name was Tamina was amazing, very attenttive and made me feel special by reccommeding the pasta which was also nice.

Me and my family have now been here twice , great food both times and even better service , hamza was working both times always made sure we was happy with everything , was helpful and overall really friendly , he also provided quick and fast pace service which was really good. The pizza marina is a pizza not typically found in Italian restaurants in Birmingham and happens to be my favourite. Really recommend this restaurant.

The pizza was very good, the staff attentive and friendly. There were only the 3 of us eating in the restaurant but it was a Monday evening. The only downside was there is no drink licence and you can't "bring your own"

Food was great had a Margherita, Caprese salad & fries we didn't wait long for the food to arrive. Great service especially from Irene well done she was very good with the quality of service.

Service was okay, food was terrible, ordered 4 different pizzas, 3 of them looked and tasted the exact same. The amount of oil that was dripping of the pizzas could fuel a car, there was no need for it to be that greasy. The focaccia bread was not focaccia but instead garlic naan, we complained about the awful food but were met with the waiter saying, they get a lot of dissatisfied customers complaining about the same thing. Save your money and go to a real authentic Italian or even a £5 pizza from a local takeaway place is better than this.

From the moment we walked in, the staff were so attentive and made sure we were happy. We haven't eaten out much over the past 3 years due to covid and having a child, but eating at Paradiso was very relaxing. The staff interacted with our son so well and were so quick with getting the food out so our wait wasn't too long. The chefs were friendly and made an effort to make it a personal experience. Pizzas were faultless and best pasta we have had in a long time. Truffle fries were delicious, as well as desserts. Definitely visiting again soon.

Really liked the decor and you can tell the staff are trying really hard in terms of service. Sadly, the food does not live up to the decor, limited variety, the garlic bread and pizza crusts were burnt in places but the dough was almost raw on the edges. This place has huge potential if they can get the food variety and the pricing point right. Hated the pizza, my second home is Italy and never ever have I had anything like the pizza here! The dance music did not add to ambience of an Italian, more bar than brasserie.. Like I said the decor is lovely, the staff are trying. I'd love to visit again and for this place to be a success, but the quality and variety of food needs attention as a matter of urgency, before I do so.

The service is outstanding, the decor has a Mediterranean feel however the quality of food is poor and not enough selection. Where are the meat balls, lasagna. No fish! Seriously, rethink the menu.

I phoned to complain about the food and the worker was polite about it and told me to leave an honest review so here we go. I ordered 3 pizzas for the first time. Was looking forward to it due to the 5 star reviews but they must be written by friends and family because the pizzas I had wasn't what was described on the menu. The pizza base was chewy and was like a flimsy chapatti. There was hardly any sauce and toppings, so it was like tasting the same pizza 3 times and unfortunately threw majority of it in the bin. It's definitely not worth the price I paid for. I've eaten from an Italian place before and they exceeded whatever I ate from here.

The pizza was delicious, the dough, tomorrow sauce complemented each other really well and the service was equally as nice. Special thanks to Amjad who was a great a help at suggesting and ensuring we were always well taken care of, even on a busy night. Definitely recommend !

£11.50 for a margarita with hardly any cheese. Rock hard dry crust obviously not cooked by Italians. The positive reviews are probably from family and friends judging by the names.

Nice food, nice atmosphere, but please the waitress empty table before we finish our meal, no tap water available and force to paid botle of water, dessert was serve without knife and fork (Nutella pizza). Need to work on service.

Delicious food and lovely decor

Went the first time on valentines day.The deco was really nice but did not match the really slow service. Luckily we went at a good time. The food was, kids loved their pizza. Its only been open for one week so not sure if there was just lack of training or management. The desert did not taste fresh but the good was decent buy don't think I would be going again.

i do not understand why people come and eat here. i came in yesterday and the food was awful. Very overrated and now i have a stomach ache from the food.
