My favourite Chinese takeaway in Lancaster, particularly like the selection of bean curd dishes. The salt and pepper bean curd is particularly good. The food is always hot and a consistently high standard when it arrives - have never had a bad meal from them. The people who deliver for them are great too.

I’ve been here twice now after moving into Lancaster and I would say it’s possibly the nicest Chinese I’ve had in this area

its alright, and i say this as someone who does not really like chinese takeaways, most of the food is edible and quite tasty if your in the right mood.

Paradise Takesway is now our go-to Chinese. The service is incredibly fast, and the food reasonably priced. The portions are generous, and the food always arrives warm. They have a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, and I would highly recommend the salt and pepper beancurd and vermicelli. So nicely-flavoured, not overly-salty and just plain delicious. An order of 5 items, plus prawn crackers came to £28.

Ordered food here tonight for the first and last time. Order of £70, very little food compared to our usual takeaway restaurant, which was unfortunately closed. The BBQ ribs were OK, as were the Singapore noodles. However, the prawns in oyster sauce contained lots of tinned vegetables, especially bamboo shoots. The spring rolls were mini, again compared to where we normally order, and quite dry. I suspect frozen. The two portions of chicken satay in satay sauce arrived with literally one 2.5 inch diameter plastic, with perhaps 20ml if dry sauce in it. It smelled like plastic; didn't even try it and quickly prepared my own satay sauce instead. The boiled white rice didn't feel very fresh and was overpriced. Quite disappointed and will never recommend this place to anyone.

Nice friendly take away but the food let it down, salt and pepper chicken was tasteless, crispy shredded beef tasted burned.

First time getting a takeaway from here. I must say the best we've found yet. Average cost. This is a take out only. But very nice. Worth a try if you've never been.

I love this takeaway. The best vegetable curry and egg-fried rice I've tasted from any Chinese takeout or restaurant in the whole of Lancaster. The curry was lovely and varied with bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, baby corn-cobs and bean sprouts. The sauce pleasantly spicy with plenty of turmeric, and I could taste garlic as well. The egg-fried rice nice and firm. The service very quick and polite. The front of house clean and tidy. I highly recommend this takeaway.

I have been ordering from paradise for about 15 years and it has never disappointed. The food has always been delicious, fresh, piping hot, of great quantity and has always been delivered on time.

Somewhat disappointed with the size of the salt and pepper box considering it cost the best part of 17 quid (inc delivery). Only a 10in box, well filled but a pale comparison to other local Chinese box meals.

Best in Lancaster and Morecambe by a long way the curry is better than anywhere in the district and the portions are adequate every dish I've tasted have been impressive

Paradise Lancaster goes from strength to strength this is our go to Chinese the food is fantastic the staff are well informed extremely polite on the phone and delivery reasonable price s for what is exceptional service

This place is a real treat. Chicken was amazing and my friend got the beef fried rice which he was best he's had in a while. The lady at the counter was nice, polite and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Basic Chinese takeaway card accepted

We came here after reading good reviews, we weren't disappointed either. The food was great. chicken in lemon sauce is something I've never had before but wow, it was amazing. The duck in Peking sauce also very tasty, like a soft sweet and sour sauce. Salt and pepper chips were very good and much better than another Chinese we'd tried in the area. Prices are good, portion size and quality spot on. Recommended.

Saw the salt and pepper box on Facebook and when I got it, it was the worst thing I’ve ever tasted! Didn’t even feel like any of it was cooked!!! Waste of £15! If I was you I wouldn’t bother!! Left more than 3/4’s of it!!!

The best Chinese takeaway in the area by far. I have ordered from here for many years, and tried many different dishes. On every occasion the food is 1st class. They serve generous portions and of a high standard. Very quick if you collect yourself.

We were charged £1.20 delivery and £0.50 morecambe eats service charge. The order was 20 minutes early and so that was a good bonus. Delivery driver arrived in full PPE and kept her distance We ordered the following: Crispy pancake roll, peking spare ribs, prawn crackers, Singapore fried vermicelli, curry sauce, crispy beef in a spicy sauce and fried soft noodles. Verdict. The portions were such a good size and arrived hot. The vermicelli had good flavours on its own so the curry was not needed but I love curry with noodles so it was still nice to have as a extra. The crispy pancake was filled to the brim with beansprouts, onion and sliced meat. The prawn crackers were not stale or greasy which at a lot of Chinese places they tend to be one or another so this was a nice surprise.

Ordered pickup. Ready in 15 mins. Could not fault a single dish. Look forward to working my way through the rest of the menu.

Ordered delivery with friends, we got the food quite fast. The combo starters was still nice and crisp when we got them. Everything else was really nice too. Would recommend to others.

What has gone wrong? Been using this takeaway for 15 years usually fantastic food , last few times noticed a big change in quality, last nights food was atrocious. Quite possibly the worst takeaway I've ever had! £30 spent including a tip for driver, most of it went into the bin!! Whoever's doing the cookin needs to hang up his or her apron. Wont be goin back! Such a shame

With family , we enjoyed a very tasty Chinese takeaway, we were advised there would be a fifteen minute wait as we had not telephoned in our order. Food was p[repared in a shorter time than stated. Food was hot ,tasty and excellent value for money.

Not even deserved of 1 star!! Never written a review before but the chow mein was utter trash!! Frozen peas and carrots?!! utter tasteless the whole dish!! Never again, complete waste of money that ended its life in the bin!!
