Had amazng food from this lovely take away. We had starters for two and two main dishes. I'm sure what food you choose it will be of same quality taste and portion size. Thank you.

We tried here as our trusted golden jade was closed today.The spring rolls were like mini rolls but they were nice,unfortunately it then goes massively downhill from there.The salt n pepper ribs have batter on them,really tough and mega salty,salt n pepper wings are way to salty.The singapore vermicelli was also mega salty and not much flavour.Have a pint of water to hand as you'll need it.Really disappointed.Waste of money.

Just wow!.. Fast delivery, friendly staff, fresh, hot food and it was so tasty! You have to be Lancaster’s best Chinese takeaway! Omg, if you’re going to order, make sure to order the bbq ribs! - they melt in your mouth! So good, we got two takeouts in one week! - value for money, reasonably priced! This is the definition of what an excellent takeaway should be. Chuffed to bits have we found them! 5* all round!

If I'm anywhere near here on a late shift, I will always try to get here to eat. The honey chilli chicken is fab, salt and pepper beef is seasoned perfectly, and stays crispy even under the onions and chilli. Chips are enough for two. Can't fault it

I always go here, it's always ready fast, fresh and hot and it is always so delicious and flavourful! The curry sauce and salt and pepper seasoning is to die for! They offer great portion sizes at affordable prices and it is honestly the best takeaway in Lancaster. 10/10 definitely recommended by me and all my friends - SO student friendly

I've been going here now for a couple of months, after using it for the first time when a preferred local option was closed. I'm so pleased I tried it. The menu has a typical Chinese offering, nothing particularly new or different, but the quality is very high and everything I've tried has had such well balanced flavours. The prices are competitive for the area. My recommendations are salt and pepper beef, chicken in chilli honey sauce and crispy mix in garlic sauce. The bbq sauce and ok sauce also worth a mention.

It was disgusting will not be going there again

Ribs were so overcooked that I couldn't get the meat off the bone so were inedible, the chicken in the sauce was also overcooked and tasted more like pork, the sauce was supposed to be Cantonese but was more like sweet and sour and the noodles were dry and tasteless. Really not impressed.

Had a delivery for the first time to our Caravan at the Crook o Lune Caravan park. I have to say it was one of the best takeaways we have ever had for ages. Speedy delivery. First time ordering from here. Both hubby and I loved it. It's really difficult to find good Chinese takeaway in Lancaster. Glad we found one. Will definitely be returning. ☺️

Very disappointing... A lot of the food was over cooked and it was cold, a fairly average attempt considering it was a highly anticipated lock down birthday treat. We have had a better experience from them in the past but probably won’t use them again. On thé plus side Delivery was prompt and there was plenty of food and good value.

Terrible! Will never order from here again. We ordered some food from here off the website yesterday evening. The food seemed fine and tasty at first until we started feeling unwell. Next thing we know we have food poisoning. Never again!

Used their own app to place order. Very user friendly and great to get around it. Ordered salt and pepper wings, special chow mein, chicken Malaysian curry and egg fried rice. £20.10 including payment fee of 50p and £1 delivery. Salt and pepper wings - Good portion. The wings were not fatty at all despite being fried. Good level of spice. Malaysian chicken curry and egg fried rice - Generous portion of meat. Lovely flavours in the curry and not too hot but a nice level of heat. The rice was not oily or fatty at all and seasoned very well.

Used to order off the app. But when i went to place an order. Says only deliver within 2mile. Oh well someone else will get my 5-6 orders a month. How silly

It's great to be using Half Moon again now that there pricing has leveled with other Chinese takeaways. This is because Half Moon produces the best Food quality by far amongst the takeaways and is always my first choice.

Excellent food. Reasonably priced and unreasonably large portions. Everything you'd expect from a good takeaway. No wonder they are certified as one of top 10 by the local council. You can see that info when you visit them.

Great food, fair price, friendly staff

While the food is very good at the half moon Bay along with great service I found that prices had risen far beyond inflation this evening so much so they have now become the most expensive Chinese takeaway in Lancaster compared to seven other takeaways from £2.90 to £5.40 more. There are other options out there that while not as good on food can still provide reasonable product for an acceptable price. I hope to return in the future when prices are a level playing field. In the mean time I hope people in Lancaster can afford it.

We bought two chicken dishes that clearly hadn't been salted while being cooked, meaning they were completely bland. Spent a lot of money getting food from there only to be served low quality food. You'd expect at a Chinese the chefs would be able to get the basics right. Thoroughly looked forward to trying this place only to be completely disappointed.

Awful customer service. My partner asked for some of the meal to be vegan and explained that this means no meat, fish or egg. The woman said okay. When he got the food home there was fish and egg in these dishes. My partner called back and the woman told him he needs to be careful...they would accept no responsibility for their mistake. When the food was redelivered, one of the items still had egg. At this point, I called and the lady was very rude and said that my partner had said it was okay to have egg in a vegan dish. I certainly shouldn’t have had to pay to argue about my dietary requirements and the staff member was rude and insulting. It turned what should have been a treat into a stressful and unpleasant experience.

Probably the single best chinese takeaway in Lancaster. Efficient, fast, and hot food that tastes amazing and well priced, second visit and just as good as the first. No tiny child half portions here, unlike other well known lancaster Chinese cousine outlets. Keep up the amazing quality of food, and service.

Lovely food great service quantity superb only seaweed was a little bit salty and too much sauce on crispy beef in ok sauce but otherwise couldnt fault the food will order again 😃👍
