Papa Pitta in Brighton and Hove

Came to New Unity for the first time in a while and one of the biggest improvements is the new kitchen. Such amazing food, hadn’t really tried much Cypriot before and so glad i have now!! Such a range with vegan and veggie as well, would recommend for sure!

Me detuve aquí en mi camino de regreso de Picturehouse y comí una deliciosa pitta Souvlaki generosamente llena de dulces y servida con ensalada fresca picada. Comida de calidad - gran valor. ¡Recomendado!

Over the years I have travelled Greece extensively and to my surprise the best souvlaki was just round the corner at papa pittas! #comeonthegulls.

Popped in on Friday afternoon and wow. Had a great selection and everything was so tasty. The chips are to die for, the kebab (this is how every kebab should be) felt like a bargain for the amount you get. Everything was so fresh. The staff make the difference, service with a smile and charisma. Big thanks to Sam and the team. If you are In The Hannover area and looking for food look no further! I also heard they have a new one opening in Battersea! I'll see you there as well! Great stuff keep it up!

Honestly, one of the best souvlaki’s I have had in a while; strong flavours matched with fresh veg and garnish, a touch of lemon and some brill chilli sauce on the side. Tried to find something wrong with it, and I really couldn’t find anything; five out of five for definite.

We’ve been to Papa Pitta twice now, really enjoyed it both times. Great Souvlaki, pillowy Cypriot pitta and absolutely yummy , crisp Chips plus salads and dips and more. There are great gluten free options plus veggie and vegan options too. A small but perfect menu either for dinner or for snacks with a drink. Lots of care taken over the food and cooked to order. Papa Pitta himself is in the kitchen and serving food, whole experience is super friendly ♥️. In nice , newly refurbished pub with lots of special beers and ciders too. Really good value food. Finally! I no longer have to wait till I go to Cyprus on holiday to visit family or family weddings in order to have a decent delicious 'proper' Cypriot Souvlaki! I went last Friday for the first time and was back in there the next evening and now arranging my next friends catch up in there.. the best souvlaki in Brighton hands down.. but not only that, the attention to detail and service,I noticed the chef and the team all come out to see if everyone is enjoying their food.. the passion in which the Chef talked about the spices to my friend who had the mix Souvlaki (Halloumi and Vegan) was just adorable. If you love Greek food.. then this is the place for you.. The other places (which are more Greek from Greece than Cyprus) do not even compare to this place.. it truly is worth a visit and you'll see what i'm talking about! Enjoy!

Papa Pitta is now based in the newly opened Free Haus pub. The food is delicious, with a selection of souvlaki to choose from and vegetarian and vegan options too, all served in pitta with salad, chilli sauce and tzaziki. There are side dishes to order - I recommend the beetroot salad and the delicious fried potatoes. The open kitchen is connected to the bar area, so you can see the food being produced. I recommend a visit, the food is great and you’ll get a warm welcome from both the Papa Pitta crew and the Free Haus staff.

We managed to get into Papa Pitta on it's last day at Diplock yard and I'm so glad we didn't miss eating here. It makes a very refreshing change from all the Mexican places about. The kebabs were so tasty, the atmosphere was relaxed and all the staff really nice and friendly. We had chicken, pork and halloumi pittas...delicious! We also had the beetroot, feta and walnut salad too which was amazing. I couldn't fault anything about our visit and really enjoyed it. I really hope to see Papa Pitta somewhere else in Brighton soon!

We had an amazing meal in this rustic restaurant, typically Greek, it was a great experience the food is served on roof tiles, and they have a honesty box for corkage if you take your own drink

Excellent "pop up cafe" serving authentic cypriot kebabs, salads and souvlaki. The beetroot salad and the grilled feta with peppers are top grade. Not cheap, though

A different great dining experience, similar to street food in Asia, or outside dining in the Mediterranean. The food was excellent. Its a small menu, but that didn't detract. The beetroot starter was standout for me.

Barbecue smoke, lanterns and music. Delicious simple menu, and really friendly staff. Different kind of place we love brighton for. Takes 2 hands to tackle the pittas which were groaning with grilled chicken and haloumi. Will be back. Thank you.
