I don’t know what’s sadder, the fact it’s taken nearly 2hrs to deliver two pizzas, or the fact at the age of 30 I’ve come online to leave a bad review about it. Checking the status of the order and said it was delivered, rang to check after waiting 50mins, to be told it was just going in the oven, fast forward another hour, and I see that the pizza that’s been lied about is now being delivered by snail mail by someone on a push bike.

Arrived 5 minutes later than expected, but was surprisingly hot! Tasty pizza and jalapeno poppers, nicer than dominos. Friendly, cheerful delivery guy. 😊

Updates were wrong, saying it was delivered when it wasn’t, waited 2 hours for one pizza and one side. Food was delivered an hour late and was just about warm.

The food arrived 15 after the end of the estimated delivery time and was stone cold. If I wanted cold pizza I’d have bought frozen ones and saved myself £25!

Absolutely shocking pizza , it took and hour to come less than half a mile down the road to my place of work . Then it was cold and barely had any toppings, the base was so tough to chew you would have been forgiven for thinking you were eating the box it came in. Avoid Avoid Avoid the reviews are real and true .

After 50 minutes of waiting, rang up to see where it was. Then 30 minutes later it turns up luke warm at best! Now we have to warm it up in the oven, may aswell just brought pizzas from the shop.

Ordered a delivery from one store and was informed that my order would be coming from another store as the oven was broken. Food finally arrived after 90 mins, cold and not edible. Waste of time and money

I'm vegan, food wasn't great, but edible if hungry. Service was ok . A lot of staff touching faces then the food prep, needed raining in in front of general public.

Shocking service, ordered pizza on the way home around 6pm for 7pm delivery after 1.5h nothing arrived, I gave them a call and it was some issue which I can understand, 2h later I call them again and they said that my order will be cancelled. The best bit is 2.5h later I received notification that pizza is on my way but never arrived. Chasing refund now from Head office, discussing service and this is stealing peoples money!!

They took my money online but the place was closed when I got there. Still no answer on the phone.

Worst ever delivery service, took more than 1 hour 40 mins where deliver status was updated long back before delivery and it was super cold which kids couldn’t even chew

4 pizza one large and 3 med 98 pounds. Has it come to this expense now.. think my last steak meal in a posh place was cheaper.. food did taste nice..lose one star for the over charging

Excellent service and fast delivery but I found my pizza dry on my last occasion and my wings were ridiculously small so not great value

Absolutely disgusting, I bought a xl pizza and 2 sides, the sides are a rip off for the cost but the pizza was totally uneatable, we could not chew it. 3 quarters of it is still in the box. This has happened before with papa johns. Last time I'll give them any of our money, it's disgusting and a rip off, they shouldn't be allowed to serve the rubbish they send out

FOOD POISONING!! tried to treat me friend to a pizza, they got the toppings wrong and gave her food poisoning!

Ordered at 1942 pizza was finally delivered at 2145? That was from a store just 1 mile away from me. Unacceptable ams with no apology

The staff was great, very kind did their best to give us the best deal possible even got the manager, food was amazing with all the toppings we asked.. definitely going back 👌

Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!! All pizzas were cold, sides were cold!- i mean STONE COLD The garlic dip is vile! One pizza was squashed and the vile garlic sauce over quarter of it and was ruined. Not only that took hour and 29mins to arrives I'm 2miles away! Never ever again!!! And for the price over £60 I exexspect alot better service. I'd give no stars if I could!

Ordered 2 pizzas and they rang back to me regarding there’s no stuffed crust anymore but they did offer a free side in exchange. Food was perfect and I’m really picky when it comes to pizza

Worst place to work with against learning difficulties discrimination. At the beginning I loved it. Needs improvement of people with all disabilities with high top notch training. Been asked to write an review. The other reason is that I left was one of the supervisors shouting where there were mistakes or jobs not done. Also there needs to be improvement with staff training especially wants to be supervisor. Staff friendly dependable.

This branch is absolutely shocking, Every time i've ordered there are problems, last time the pizzas arrived looking like the delivery driver had been having a game of frisbee with them, all mushed in to the box, kids upset and then was expected to wait while they came to pick it up and make another one. Reluctantly order again tonight, gave it an hour with no sign of delivery, phoned to chase it up and they've only just started making it, again another 2 hungry kids waiting and to be told another half an hourly the c**ky t*at on the other end as it was just going in the oven. After saying it wasnt good enough he comes all smarmy and says ok i'll cancel that order then - yeah mate like it wasnt even f**king made yet. Now have to wait 3-5days for a bloody refund. F**k you PJ's

1st order came cold… apologies and offers next order for free which was nice of them then last night got our free order and we all have food poisoning 2 children off sick and 2 adults having to take the day off losing a days wage 😡 never again stay clear of this shop

Overall food was good, turned up on time but was missing the drink in the deal we paid for. My partner said at the door 'where is the drink?', delivery man said 'I will come back in 15 - 20 minutes to give you drink.' we waited an hour still no drink so called Papa John's St Budeaux and the person on the phone said he will send us missing item. Waited another hour still no drink so phoned again and spoke to the same man again on the phone who I am assuming is a manager at Papa John's. He assured me that the delivery man gave us the drink and actually started arguing back at me trying to say we did receive the drink when I clearly didn't receive the drink else I wouldn't have called again. I explained to him on the phone that I have paid for a service that has not been adhered to sufficiently and that we are still missing an item. We said he didn't give us our drink (assuming driver went to the wrong house at some point and gave somebody else missing item) and the chap on the phone eventually said okay we will send it to you again. Half an hour or so later 2 delivery drivers knocked on the door and gave us the missing item, however they got close to my partner and tried to intimidate him right at our front door. I am writing this review because of the way the person on the phone at Papa John's dealt with the issue and the way he spoke to me was rude, arguing back at me. Very bad service.

Very slow to even see to customer's who go through the door, timings are all out. Placed orders and app says so many minutes, go to collect and food "just being made"

Absolutely useless twice now they have not been able to deliver to the dockyard AFTER i place my order.. That email you have given does not exist.. nice one..

We order pizza from Papa Jones for like 3 years now and is always fresh and tasty. Keep up great job guys!

Absolutly terrible!! was late, cold ... drink was hot! buffalo wings were just normal wings drowned in sauce. Called multiple times to no resolution. Would never order again

Fuming with papajohns pizza st budo, ordered a meat feast pizza and a half n half vegi, so vegi garden and spicy vegi, this morning seen the spicy one had beef on it, rang store to be told because its been touched and some eaten nothing they can do, so rude, I told them I am not worried about replacing I just need to let them know they have made a vegi eat meat, then I was told to have a good day and they put phone down 🤮🤮🤮

Had a delivery tonite and not happy which is not like them. Got it delivered and he left it outside in the cold.on a step. Our drink did not come and was told.to wait 15 minutes for it and still not here. Phoned them to ask about my drink and got it at long last. Shame we never have a problem.with them but not happy today

Also number of people (presumably delivery drivers) loitering outside the side door around the delivery scooters again no masks, smoking outside but within 1-2 metres of the food preparation. This is not the first time I have seen this. Last time I complained via email and was informed that the issue had been resolved. Papa John's in St. Budeaux has no regard for contributing to a Covid-19 safe environment and protecting our community. I have no trust in my food being safe and I will not be ordering food from here again.

Pizza arived on time but not testi and what i have requested its came wrongs not happy

I order way too often than I should, I get a real mix of service but today I had a young man called to mention they didn’t have the ice-cream I ordered (which wasn’t an issue) he was polite, kind and apologetic. Plus on arrival, he was prompt and wished me a great day. As much as it’s deemed ‘standard customer service’ to receive this but I don’t feel the service from this store is ever this good, and felt this man needed some recognition!

Good people, fast delivery, nice people

One pizza was overcooked and dry and the other had hardly any tomato base and was missing one of the toppings, but to top it off there was barbecue sauce instead of the usual special garlic in the pizzas which was really disappointing. Wouldn't recommend ordering from here.

Pizza was dry and ordered dips which we paid extra for and didn't receive the dips we ordered we got 7 bbq sauce

Waited for 3 hrs for our Pizzas and wasn't delivered. Manager said that he would believe the driver over their customers as he didn't believe me or my wife when we were adamant that nothing was delivered. To make it worse the driver changed his story and management still backed him. Kids went to bed with no dinner and didn't get a refund. I'll be popping in to see them very soon. Very dishonest!

Used to be fairly good but now the pizza is just bombarded with sauce, the most minimal amount of cheese (which just emphasizes the absurd amount of sauce), crushed/squashed boxes with burst sauce pots inside and toppings stuck all over the place. Probably be sticking to the supermarkets from now on. Cheaper and alot cleaner.

I wouldn’t even rate a 1 star!!! Absolutely disgusting service from Store at Plymouth. Waited two hours for my pizza, finally came freezing cold and totally wrong. Another hour later still waiting for the correct pizza! The not bothered attitude from the staff is shocking! Seriously how hard can it be to cook pizza and chicken....

Would'nt even give one star. One hour and 20 minutes to deliver luke warm soggy pizzas. Will never buy from here again.

This time our cold pizza only took 2 hours to arrive last time it was 3, we've had a few domino's in between but thought it was time to give papa John's another go. In the past Papa John's has been so good and so reliable, not any more. The Wolseley Road branch is really letting the company down. Worse than the wait, more terrible than the cold pizza, no pepperoncini pepper in the pizza box! P. S. January 31st and the pizza arrived with a Christmas menu attached to the box. The management either don't care or don't have a clue what is going on.

Don't have phone reception where I am, so left 3 different contact methods, including knocking on my door. They were still unable to deliver the food, and furthermore, the rude staff tried to blame me, and wouldn't refund me, for undelivered food, for over 2 hours.

Placed an order at this establishment knowing that it can be delivered to a site restricted address and waited with a rumbling tummy for its arrival. Waited some more and more and yes you guessed it more until after two phone calls of being told it was on it's way it eventually arrived 1hr 40 mins after being placed. I was then told by the manager that because I ordered it using the Papa John app telephone orders are prioritised over the top off app orders and this was supposed to justify the long wait time. 😡 so as you can imagine when it did turn up and the dips were missing and the pizzas were that cold that the cheese had congealed on top of them making them tougher than no more nails I was not amused. Now gone past the hungry stage was then told I could either have them collected and my money returned or a new order sent out. Being I had waited 1hr 40 mins for the first one to arrive I was not hoping this order would arrive before Christmas 😤. I was offered a credit to which I doubt I will take them up on as I have been told its recorded on a account attached to my telephone number but dont hold any hope it's there at all. Avoid at all cost unless you can walk to the shop and wait for it yourself. It will be a dam site quicker.

0 stars. It took just over 3 hours to deliver an XXL pizza and some chicken wings. The food arrived cold.. And the pizza had a inch of crust, then an inch of plain bread, barely any cheese and a few pieces of pepperoni. They refused to refund me my money when I called at the 2.5 hour mark.

Ordered for 1245 delivery. Managed to get it at 1530. Everything was barely luke warm. Wont be using again

Papa Johns is great for vegan options, however it is still very expensive compared to its competitors. Even with deals. We ordered from this store the other day for the first time and my husbands Pizza hardly had any cheese on at all, even though we ordered a pizza with double cheese. Not the most amazing pizza we have had but the food was cooked quickly and was hot. If it did not offer vegan pizza options we would prob use a different chain...

Papa john is a great pizza however this store has the worse service they lie to you about the prices and when you catch them out by ringing another store they hang up on you. Disgraceful service

One of the less common chain pizza sources. They’re OK but nothing special. There is a close alternative a few doors away in St Budeaux which ought at least to keep both on their toes.

Amazing again as always xxl all the meats tasted as amazing as ever thank you very much a well needed treat

Ordered Pizza, some sides and a drink. Arrived quick enough and delivery driver was pleasent, however they were missing my drink. I told them about this and the driver said he would go back and get it and bring it back, but he never did and heard no more from them. Also the pizza tasted different from usual, when it used to come from the Mutley branch, and for the next few days I have had a bad stomach and frequent trips to the toilet. As I now come under this branch instead of the Mutley branch Papa Johns has lost a customer.

You cant even make this up. So it's 22:26 on a monday I'm stood at the front desk for 5 minutes. In a papajohns un attended & being me I decide to call the number on the leaflet - out of nowhere like a telephone raid 3 chaps appear! Brilliant.

The pizza is really bad quality in this branch. Low amount of cheese when i ordered double, chicken strips cut in to very very small chunks. It was basically a tomato sauce pizza. I can order the same pizza from papa johns in a different area of plymouth and its fantastic! However, the delivery has always been quick and on time and the drivers friendly.

This place is shocking. Requested topping substitutions not done, wrong crust and it took double the time stated on the website when I placed the order. Avoid at all costs!

Just ordered a pizza online half and half so didn't let us change toppings so rang the store asked them to change my ham from pulled to normal and the lady who was apparently manager said they won't be able to change it's because we called up 10 mins after we placed the order and it had "just been put in the oven" so I asked about the motto which is if you don't like the pizza you can send it back, she continued to argue, her name was abi. Just seems wierd how you pay alot of money for a top pizza and be sure it's just been put in the oven they won't change it for you, talk about customer appreciation. We all know how it works I've worked in pizza joints, the staff on minimum wage get to share the pizza out back, two lots of people happy then, the staff and the customer. Shocking from a so called manager.

For them to try saying they already tried to deliver and they Rang apparently but didn't do either I got them to check the telephone number to check it was correct and it's was what a shock. I'll stick with Domino's in future

Ordered a meal deal for the family and found it to be low quality. Firstly the pizzas had excessive amounts of tomato sauce and very little cheese. The tomato sauce on the pizza tasted horrible. We had dips provided and not one of the dips tasted good. Over £40 spent and only to be disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend!!!

Appalling service called up to order pizza as online service not working only to be told we don’t cover that area where I live PL5 3LG honiknowle yet cannot also order from roubourough as apparently this useless store ( st beudeux ) as taking over the area !! So cannot no longer prefer papa johns anymore thank you very much !!
