Papa John's Pizza in Rochdale

Store manager is ignorant and rude asked me to ring back in 10 minutes after I rang about my order I did ring and he hung up, my calls are recorded and will be past onto your head office.

Ordered 1+1 free pizzas. Ordered online and it took 40 mins since order confirmed to my door. Driver called upon arrival. Pizza was good and still warm. Pizza tracking available as well.

Amazing staff and pizza! Never gave papa John's a try wow what a mistake! So much better than Domino's, would really recommend to get your pizza here without a doubt!

Like everywhere, once you order pizzas are ok other time goes to bin. Yesterday we have ordered 2 pizzas with delivery. That will be our last time.

I ordered a large American Hot for collection with a 60% lunchtime discount meaning it only cost me £8.12. The pizza was nice and fresh, slightly more on the well done side but no complaints. The pepperoni was nice and crispy. Overall, a very good offer for a decent quality pizza.

Avoid avoid avoid ! Absolutely diabolical! Ordered at 6.20 updated at 7.15 on the tracker to say checking and cutting- 8.00 still checking and cutting- phoned up - actually it’s not in the oven yet ! So estimated delivery then please- errr maybe 30/40 minutes so that would be 2 hours 10/20 minutes at least ! For pizza ! Obviously cancelled and have to wait 3-5 days for a refund. Cannot comment on food as didn’t get any. Felt a bit sorry for the lad working there as he was very clearly embarrassed by their poor service. Go elsewhere for your pizza guys #disappointed&hungry

Ordered for delivery, got a phone call saying it's gonna be around an hour coz only one delivery driver and loads of orders. Went to collect it, got told I don't get delivery fee refund but I get free side.....got nothing 😔

Order was 2 and half hours late and wrong with multiple items. Restaurants doesn't answer phone. Online complaints team is useless . Really need to up your game to the competition out there.

The delivery driver (Ali) in this place claims to also be the Manager (Umar) of the place. Rudest person I have encountered in any establishment. Wouldn't recommend this place, when things go wrong by this place, the staff Wouldn't care one bit.

Put in a order wait for a hour to find out they taken the money but food as been can cancelled with a email 🤬 beacuse they have no base sauce no garlic Now got to wait for a refund

Update: Could not order in store, no card reader so couldn't pay by card, couldn't pay cash either. I was told to order online but the app wouldn't load.

Drove to store to buy pizzas for daughters birthday party 3rd aug. Could not order in store, no card machine, couldnt pay cash either. Told to order online but app wouldnt load. Asked 2 men in there for help, younger guy said he didnt eat pizza so hadnt used app b4, tgen promptly went in toilet. Older guy stood hugging a brush. Left and went to another pizza place.

Order was late, cold and incorrect. Serving meat on a veggie half of pizza was a particular highlight. Clearly no QA process going on and I’d be very concerned about allergens if a veggie pizza having pepperoni all over it can apparently be missed! Don’t waste your money they do not care.

RUBISH!!!!! I ordered a pizza at 10.30pm at night. The service rang me to say they could not meet my order due to a lot of orders and the kitchen closing at 11pm. They offered me a refund which I still haven't received 4 weeks later. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SERVICE THEY MAY RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!!

Over an hour late on a order that was placed @14.30 for a delivery @18.00 absolutey pathetic its now 19.15 and the orders still not hear how this business is surviving I don't know. Ruined our plans THANK PAPA JOHNS

Placed my order quickly and easily and it was ready for collection in just 10 minutes. The food is always hot and tasty, I'm always happy with the service I get from Pappa Johns

Order online 2 pizzas, after 1h i ring and ask about order. Lady told me is on the way, should be. In 10-15min,after half hour ring again and men told me is on the way should be in 10 min, 3rd time I ring after another 20 min and requested for refund, because almost 2h waiting, they refused to give me back my money!!! It was my last order ever in Papa Jons. Completely doesn't care about customers. You charge £2 for delivery and don't do job!

Appalling service.... ordered delivery before 8pm and was still not delivered over an hour later.... no answer when we rang so had to go out and collect.... upon arrival was told some item not available so had to choose something else... were given a bottle of soda to compensate.... but considering we had paid for delivery and then collected ourselves I am not at all impressed.... would like to have given 0 stars

Used to order from here all of the time. For the past four orders, it has taken them almost an hour to contact us to let us know that our pizza isn’t stocked. Would not recommend.

An hour wait for undercooked pizza, and rude staff. Not sure if the franchise has changed recently as this used to be a consistently great. Ended up throwing one pizza away as it was inedible.

2 hours since ordering via app for 1 pizza, no sign of delivery. Tried ringing store several times but no answer. Now too late at night to want to eat a big meal. Never using this service again.

Waited 2.5 hours for my delivery and rang 30+ times just to have to drive down to the store myself who then claimed to be “under staffed” when half of the staff in the store were stood about doing nothing. I was stood at the counter for at least 20 minutes waiting to speak to someone. I heard them repeatedly tell customers that they should’ve called the store to check but then one of them told me phones were down 🙄 maybe next time they’re so “understaffed” they shouldn’t accept orders.

Awful. The worst place i’ve ever ordered from, only thing more tragic than ordering is the fact i can’t rate 0 stars. Never order from this restaurant because it will leave you a broken human being. Utterly ridiculous.

3rd time in a row where I’ve waited over 3 hours for my delivery, and then they got the order wrong!

Placed order for delivery at specified time in 70 mins. Did did not arrive, so 15 mins after scheduled time I rang up asking for an update. They couldn't deliver for another hour. They cancelled the order. Next time Dominos.

I'd highly recommend just going in if you want a pizza, they can't honour deliveries reasonably on a Friday so you will wait ages and get cold food if it does arrive. They will not answer the phone to cancel.

Placed an order for collection, was told that it would only be ten mins, went in after 10 mins told it would be another 10 mins then told there was no chicken for the pizza, not only that, an employee that worked there was putting his hand down his pants..not to mention the manager was completely clueless!!! we decided to just cancel as it wasn’t up to standards at all!!!!

I would advise you never order from here. We placed our order online at 6pm. After nearly an hour and a half and still no sign of our food, I had to phone the store. After several attempts someone finally answered to tell me our order had just finished cooking and would be with us shortly. Another 25 minutes later the order arrived. The food was cold, our order had not just finished cooking when I called the store. Of the 2 sides that we ordered one was incorrect the other was just pathetic. The four cheese potato tots had bacon on and the bacon cheese sticks looked nothing like advertised (see photos). They also did not send the correct dips. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING

If I could give this place a 0 I would! There were two main concerns. The order was made at 4.45pm, it arrived at 6.30 pm. Unacceptable time. What’s more serious is that my wife has coeliac disease (gluten intolerance). She ordered a pizza specifying it needs to the gluten free base. The order came, my wife started eating the pizza, after two slices she started reacting. Her lips started to swell, it was then she realised that they had used a normal base. I called the store and the worker (ehsan) said sorry. She had to take a anti histamine drug and may need to go hospital because of this. Totally totally unacceptable. **Update** She had to go into hospital due to the reaction. I will be taking this further.

Small pepperoni pizza + extra toppings and chicken popcorn thing cost £25. It turned up and I couldn't believe how little we got for £25

Put mushrooms on the pizza when notes specifically stated NO MUSHROOMS. Both pizzas had little to no cheese and just lots of sauce.

Ordered food at 6.30, it turned up at 9.45. Freezing cold and one pizza missing, then wouldn’t answer the phone. Will stick to Pizza Hut in future 👎🏻

My pizza seemed to have no tomato sauce on it. Underneath the cheese was only the base so it was very bland and tastless. Also we asked for plain chicken wings and they where covered in bbq sauce. I won't be ordering from them again.

Compared to Domino's for this price I choose Domino's. This garlic sauce tastes like melted butter, and pizza is terrible. Never again. Not recommended 👎👎👎

Pizza always cold. Last delivery took over an hour and I'm by no means a million miles away. This seems to be the standard service from this Papa Johns its practically every time. Staff seem angry when you call with a problem.

Good overall, Ordering was very easy, staff was helpful, and when asking to cut with a clean cutter they agreed very politely pizzas where delivered in good time. We wasn't fond of the garlic sauce at all but Thanks for the fresh tasty pizzas and sides.

I have come down with a severe, disabling case of food poisoning after ingesting pizza from this place, been 4 days and I am still recovering. Awful.

Was slightly concerned having read the reviews but love the pizza. Ordered two pizzas and three sides, 35 minutes from ordering to delivery and service was great. Food was piping hot. Very pleased.

The tator tots are something else! Service was friendly, food was fresh and hot, gives rival companies a run for their money!

on Saturday I collected my order from the store and while waiting for it to be handed over I witnessed, what I assumed to be the manager, being verbally rude to 3 young members of staff who were making the pizzas. I just found this very unprofessional, especially with the language and tone he was using to speak to them. As a customer I will 100% not be returning to this store if this is how the staff are being treated. However I would like to say I was very impressed with the quality of my pizza made by those young members of staff, especially as it seemed so busy

Ordered 2 pizza online for delivery. They called me 5 mins later claiming deliver would take an hour and half due to traffic or I could collect in 15mins. When I went to collect there was no traffic at all. The pizza was horrible as well. The cheese had not browned and the topping was really sparse. Won't be going back.

Eatable but far in quality from the Manchester one... surprised they have same brand.. not the same ingredients or quality of food though...

I ordered a pizza at 7:30pm it’s 10:54pm and still not here. I called the restaurant over 20 times, barely pick up phone. When they did, kept telling me that it should be here any minute. In the end they told me that they tried to deliver and that I didn’t accept it, they “tried” to deliver second time and a man came out and said we don’t want it, I must mention that I live alone, and there’s not a man in sight to do or say anything like that! I can see/hear clearly from my window if a car or a person walks by, and the street was dead, no one. If I didn’t wanted my pizza I would’ve cancel it and don’t let them go through all the trouble, but I know these are difficult times, it’s Friday and the Covid-19 , I understand that they are busier than usual so I waited. But to take £17.99 for a pizza and then lie about the delivery and stuff?! Unfortunately is unacceptable! Do not order from them, they’ll rip you off and let you stay hungry!!! And if you’re pregnant like I am it will also break your heart!!!!

Food was 1hr 45mins late,then when it did arrive it was incomplete. The food that actually turned up was nice As a side note though,they list meat pizzas as vegetarian on their just eat page!

Received a special deal brochure in the post. 18.99 for large pizza and 2 side orders. Phoned the rochdale branch. Sorry we dont have a card machine working. You have to order online. Ordered pizza and 2 side orders. 1 hour later pizza arrived cold and the 2 side orders wrong. Rang shop. No response. Sent e mail to head office? Waste of time. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other pizza places around

better than dominoes will never go back to dominoes they can't cook chicken and staff are rude well they are in Rochdale but papa can and had wrong order but are rectifying it tip don't put stuff on pizza that not asked for

Terible customer service, delivery driver turns up at my house, looks in box gets back in his caf & shakes head at me, left it a further 30 mins before calling store to then be told they are remaking me pizza, only to recive it 2hrs after i orderd online no compensation or anything, will not be ordering form this store ever again !

Used this branch on a number of occasions and usually no issues, however the first problem we encountered was dealt with atrociously. We ordered a pizza for my six year old boy at 18:30, one hour later it arrived and was wrong. It was covered in mustard which we hadn't ordered. I phoned and they said they would send a replacement within 30 mins. After a further hour we were told that it was on its way, however by 21:00 it still hadn't arrived. Another phone call was made and after asking to speak to the manager we were put on hold for 5 minutes, but the manager couldn't be bothered to come to the phone. My partner drove to the store only to be told that the replacement had been redelivered to the wrong address, really! Mistakes happen, but the least you can expect is for them to be rectified and to be treated in the right manner. I won't be using this branch again.

Love the pizza from Papa John's and it's much more reasonably priced than its competitors. If you go in to collect you will see it being made fresh. The staff are friendly and always look like they enjoy what they do. One of the tastiest pizzas I have had.

The boss and staff of this branch are really unproffesional constantly swearing one time a pizza fell and they just simply put back in a box... terrible

Totally disorganised service visited weds 24/10/2018 ordered and was told 15 mins wait, no problem, we went in Aldi next door. When we returned a gentleman who had been there before we arrived and ordered was still there waiting. We were told after waiting 10 mins we were told another 5 mins. As it turned out the gentleman waiting before us was given our order and they were making his order which we had to have without the side order as that had been taken. Who was in charge seemed to.have no idea of what he was doing they were all arguing and blaming each other dreadful service. Said we would get a Phone call about a refund this has not happened.

Wow, rubbish 1 hour 20 minutes after ordering I call to be told another 35 minutes aswell as overhearing the "interesting conversation" between the manager to the person who answered my call least the person who answered my call was prepared to be honest!! Cancelled and your head office will be informed.

Leaving this review before even tasting my food. The time is 21:00 and I ordered my food at 18:49. Over 2 hours and still no sign of my order. This quite frankly is not on, very poor but hey I get a free bottle of Pepsi

Order took nearly 2 hours to arrive, rung them up and they wasn't bothered what so ever, when food finally arrived was wrong and cold, all they could say was we will give you a free pizza next time. Will never use again.

Tasteless not much topping and the garlic dip is disgusting more like garlic butter,don't waste your money very expensive

Shockingly bad service. I was told 20 minute wait. 50 minutes to get 1 medium pizza and wedges!! Reasonable food but not overly hot. Very disappointed and I would never use again.

Have used many times but this time it was Extremely poor. 95 minutes for a cold pizza. No apology. Not bothered when you call. Won't be using again. Not that you care!

The portions of expensive potato wedges are getting ridiculously smaller & smaller each week!! After this latest insult of receiving such a small portion of undercooked wedges we won't be returning again. What a rip off. Also the dips pushed into the top of the cheese on the pizza is so disgusting & unhygenic.

Been ringing up since 10:25 to the phone being ignored so i decided to got to the shop to be told they dont take orders after 10:40 so i was ringing from 10:25 and they blatently ignored there phone becouse they probably couldnt be as***

Had a good family deal on pizzas and was recommended a money saving combo that worked out better. Pizza quality was good but pricing similar to any other pizza franchise.

Pre-ordered online for dinner time and they arrived pretty much bang on time. The pizza its self was nice and hot, however I do not think the dip that came with it is quite as good as domino's. As for cost it is about the same as domino's and run promotional discounts often.

Discusting found a hair in my food tasteless as well
