Dishonest people running a poorly sanitised operation. Don't order from here unless you're happy to lose whatever money you spend there by purchasing food that isn't of edible quality. Disgusting.

I haven’t had a Papa Johns in a while and thought I would dust their app off and try one this evening. I wish I had read the reviews first. The deal was ok and I ordered at 6:10, expecting it within an hour. At 6:50 the status still said it was being prepared - concerns set in. At 7pm, it said it was in the Oven, at 7:40 it was getting cut and checked, at 8:40 it still says that. Delivery happened at 8:30, the pizza was dried out and the chicken and potatoes side weren’t cooked enough. In my nearly 2.5 hour wait I called at least 10 times and got a full voice mail box. The one time I did speak to someone, he told me it was going to be 10 minutes, it was 40. Avoid at all costs, there is much better service and pizza in Leith.

Terrible service, extremely late

Worst service ever, never got my delivery on time, I think they should train the staff how to answer customers phonecall, I have ordered from the nearest store which is literally 4min drive and the order never came they kept on delaying it by talking shit about weather and short of staff,

Used papa John's for years but ordered via the app today and I'm very disappointed. Ordered a deal for 2 medium pizzas and a side of chicken wings. I then added 2 large pizzas using my reward points. After I made payment I realised that my 2 large pizzas and side had been removed from the order! Very disappointing as i had many mouths to feed (ended up re ordering from Pizza Hut) When the 2 medium pizzas arrived there was more disappointment. The vegan hawaiian looked awful with 8 pieces of vegan ham and even less pineapple on it. Tasted awful and actually went in the bin!!!!!

Tried phoning after waiting for food, 7 calls were not answered over the course of an hour so now I've been waiting for 2 hours for my food. Phoned from my partners phone and immediately answered told me food would be 10 to 15 minutes I then waited half an hour before calling back and was told it would be 6 minutes. After 15 more minutes we contacted deliveroo for a refund and she phoned and was told the driver would just be a minute which he was. We got the food and seen that we'd been given the wrong pizza and wrong dessert the only thing that was right was the garlic bread

Insanely overpriced so I expected good quality, but the jalapeno poppers taste cheap and the pizza isn't cooked, I literally sauce unrelated bits of cheese so I'm scared to even taste it

Tried to give a second chance but never ever again. After 1 hour late, pizza arrived cold and the wrong one, ordered a chicken barbecue and got this.

If you wish to order chicken wings, you'll get clubs instead. Be late for collection because its always late. Called them and they literally refused to put chicken wings and they put clubs instead.. they also charge 25 quid for a large pizza be aware

Don't do it. Don't order from these guys. Ordered last Sunday and it took almost two hours to arrive. When it finally showed up, stone cold, I opened the box to find that they'd given me the wrong thing. Phoned to complain and was told it would take too long to fix the order and that a refund wasn't possible, so I'd just get a free pizza next time. I phone a week later to get my free pizza and they inform me that it's only free if I come and pick it up. I don't live near the place, hence why I ordered. They say the only way I can get my free pizza is if I order one and then phone in and ask them to add a free one onto it. I already hate the idea of this but it is what it is. I put in an order and then phone. They say they'll throw in my free one. My order arrives and there's no free pizza. The delivery guy seemed completely confused about what I was on about and said that it wouldn't have been a free pizza at all but probably a free garlic bread or something????? I didn't get that either! So yeah, just don't bother. It'll be cold, incorrect and they are totally unwilling on unable to fix any problems they cause.

Didn't receive anything, correct or incorrect and no updates on its progress. Utter waste of time and money.

There are always reasons why people gives low score. I think staff is nice, kitchen looks clean but total 10 chicken nuggets cost 7 pounds is completely wrong. I went often here because it's closest but I will not order any side menu.

I had a terrible experience with Papa John's on Leith Walk. I ordered a meal and paid for ice cream, but the ice cream never arrived. I called them multiple times, and each time, they assured me it was on its way. Hours went by, and the ice cream still didn't show up. The lack of communication and customer service is unacceptable. I wasted my time waiting for something I had paid for, and they never followed through. Very disappointed with this location, and I won’t be ordering from them again. Avoid if you value your time and money!

Food has been delivered to the wrong address, apparently the delivery men are not asking for the delivery code and I have wasted quite a bit of money for nothing

Shockingly bad customer service. Their phone hardly works, had to go through the same conversation multiple times, left hanging on the phone. Pizza had to be remade after it was ‘lost’ and so it just got later and later. No offer of a discount ….

Ordered food at 6pm turned up at 8:30pm cold. £40 wasted. Tried to give me someone else’s order. Restaurant won’t answer calls.

These folks always send me delicious hot, and timely pizzas. BUT, they always mess up the dipping sauces - sometimes none or the wrong ones. Help a girl out and please check that the sauces are in the delivery? It's drives me bananas

Food took a very long time to arrive (well over an hour and a half), store staff were unhelpful and hung up when calling for updates. Frankly better off with the other chains a couple of doors away on Leith Walk.

Just eating my cold pizza that I've been waiting for for over 1.5hrs.Called a couple of times once to be told their driver was on its way and it would be max 10mins then called again after over 10mins to be told driver wasn't picking up his phone.Eventually received my order but it's cold.Reading others reviews it looks like it happens quite often with this place.

Absolutely frustrating clown show of a delivery service. Completes the delivery when we haven't even received the order yet, we wait an extra thirty minutes despite living a stones throw from the restaurant. Whoever was handling the phones that day was unwilling to offer any resolution to their incompetence and wouldn't even offer a refund. Food didn't arrive hot!

This is my go to place for takeaway pizza in Edinburgh. The guys working there are welcoming and fast and the pizza never disappoints. Would definitely recommend for those nights when you need something quick and tasty.

Absolutely shocking I live a 5 minute drive waited over an hour and a half called twice was told the driver would be 10 mins then called back 20 mins later the guy had an attitude and told me to wait as there’s traffic, horrible experience for first time order, never again!!!

The delivery was late and for some reason I wasn’t able track the driver. But the food is hot, which is nice.

They only have take-away. But the staff was kind and friendly and allowed us to sit there and enjoy our Pizza's.

A wee bit of a weird place and not too friendly. Quality and taste are the same as at any other PJ but they have missplaced my orders a few times and never even apologised.

We do either a collection at or delivery from this Papa John’s a couple of times every month. Note that you can’t dine in. However the guys are lovely and the pizza consistently good.

System didn't update very well but the food arrived on time, hot enough and the driver was very friendly.

We ordered 2 pizzas and a side on our holiday 2 days ago. It never arrived. Imagine my surprise when it came this evening only 48 hours late. Seriously read the other reviews before ordering (especially the review about hair in cookie). When I die, and my life flashes before my eyes...the wait for this order will be one of the saddest moments I have experienced. 0 out of 10...would not recommend. Except to your enemies.

Rude rude no refund never took pizza as lay in shop for 30 minutes as driver turned up with an empty piza bag he forgot pizza and had to return to shop to deliver it .rude foreign Indians who work there.hooe they go out of business .not pizza makers them lot.

The best gluten free pizzas I have ever had. Made with a butternut squash base, they are crispy (not soggy like many other gf pizzas), made with care, tasty and always delivered quickly with a friendly smile.

Ordered Ben and Jerry's ice cream and it never came with order. Tolled the driver and he said someone would bring it but heard nothing. Won't recommend.

Just wanted to give it a second opportunity, but disappointed again with the quality of the food and also I had to phone the shop because one of the items was missing, although the driver came back quickly with the missing item. When the quality of the food and service improves, I will probably order again.

I ordered from this branch today, and despite living just 10 minutes away, my order took over 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. After calling a couple of times to inquire about my order, I was informed that the driver was on his way. A few minutes later, the driver called me to ask for directions to my flat as he was unfamiliar with the area. I must say that if you live in the area, only 10 minutes away, it's better to choose pickup instead of delivery from this branch. By opting for pickup, you not only save time but also avoid the risk of receiving a cold pizza.

I arrived to collect my order and I saw this driver/shef smoking in the fire exit for papa johns, when he finish his cigarette he just go in side and start cooking/touching pizzas with out wash his hands

It is one of the pizzas I have ever eaten. I'm not entirely sure where the toppings are or where the garlic is in the garlic dip (which is actually cheese dip) but it was fast so the staff are not at fault, just the company. It is pretty disappointing, and most chain pizza places are far better (for example when you ask for x topping, you get x topping and not a single piece of it). On the bright side, I now know its not for me

I've been a loyal customer for over two years, and the decline in quality has unfortunately been massive lately. Constant issues with missing items on delivery make me think if it is really a streak of genuine mistakes. I've regularly had missing dips, BBQ pizza drizzle or even a whole side. A real shame because the food itself is great.

I ask for a Italian sausage and pepperoni papadia and I got a pepperoni pizza not what I paid for

The pizza tasted really good but I was abit disappointed when I saw with my bbq chicken pizza I had asked for feta and there was 5 pieces on the entire pizza and I also asked that onions be removed and it wasn’t as a family member of mine is allergic. My second pizza I did ask for extra cheese and was underwhelmed that there wasn’t much. But thanks it was good

Their Garden Party Pizza is one of my favorites - it's always cooked to perfection and has the most delicious toppings. The staff are so friendly and helpful, I always feel so welcome every time I visit. Also, their customer service is top-notch, they go out of their way to make sure that I'm happy with my order.

The food was lukewarm, but tasty and the cherry cola was missing from the order.

Your might not be guaranteed a pizza that comes on time (or ever), but you are certain to waste your time trying to get a refund for an item you can only eat in your imagination. Consistent issue with easy delivery. Driver comes, dissapears in <1 minute. If you live in an apartment block you would be lucky if they came up. Phone the restaurant? No answer. Ask for refund? No answer

Card charged, money taken, 1 missed call, no sign of a driver, no updates given on the app - wasted an hour and hungry No refund option on Just Eat, so use your time wisely and try not to lose money

Pizza has arrived quite cold and seems have ham on it.

The pizza was to be delivered by 12.45 - 13.05, it looks like the order was delivered at 12.59 but I can assure it it was not, I called the restaurant 6 times and I was still calling the at 13.34 asking where my order was, it arrived one minute later, when it did arrive the Mexican pizza had no beef on it and they were both cold. Incorrect items received and no quality check stickers on boxes.

Took almost an hour to arrive, 0.5 miles away from the shop… pizza was stone cold and had to be reheated upon arrival.. wasn’t even worth heating up, should have just scrapped it, worst pizza I have ever had!

Half of my order was missing. I asked the driver for a receipt and the receipt did not match the order I placed on Just Eat. The receipt did not include the missing items, yet the price was still the same.

Ordered in advance for delivery at a set time for a work lunch. Was an hour late, totally impacted the rest of the day.

Was told the driver was 10 minutes away consistently and after calling in several times the restaurant stopped answering the phone. 2 hours later, still hadn't received the order, was told they had no way to contact the driver, and couldn't resend our order or offer a refund. Shocking service!
