Ordered a pizza turned up a hour later via a Uber delivery with the guy honking his horn outside the house at 9pm. Opened the pizza to find it looking like it had been kick across the floor & cold. Never again will I use Papa Johns. Rang up to complain was told “ WAIT” not please wait. Guy came back told me email complaint & hung up great customer service. So 2 weeks has gone by, I did email customer service and received a free pizza voucher I won’t be using it why would want that experience again. By reading the reviews nothing has changed. It would be quicker to go Italy and get my pizza. Don’t waste your time or money.

What a lovely team of people working at this branch. After a called regarding a mix-up on one of our medium pizzas, they were extremely apologetic and then (within 30 mins) delivered a free LARGE pizza with the correct toppings, along with a free drink as compensation. Great customer service, will definitely order from here again.

It never came, I want a refund.

This is the 3rd time of issue with this papa johns. 1st time late food but without me even saying anything I got a free pizza voucher. So I tried again. Ordered a new menu pizza and it was missing half the toppings. I called and got a replacement that was still missing the tandoori pieces that made the pizza a tandoori pizza. I emailed and customer services said would pass on to store. This time for my sons 13th birthday I ordered at 17.09. At 17.51 I checked app and it said it had been delivered and to enjoy food. I didn't have it so called and was told it was having a final quality check and be about 15 mins. At 18.29 i called again to say driver will be 5 mins. I said will this food now be cold as blatantly sitting for 40 minutes. And it was cold except 1 pizza which apparently was the one that they were 'waiting to come out of oven' said the driver. So I then had to put the oven on to heat up the entire order of my food which was 10 individual items. When I tried to call pack on 2 different phones I get no response. Terrible. Something has changed as was OK before. So frustrating as we like the pizzas from papa johns. But after heating it up it doesn't taste right. Thanks papa johns ipswich for this.

Gave them a second chance after a significant fall in quality a few weeks ago. Still just as bad, if not worse. Not sure if a new franchise owner has come in but quality has fallen off a cliff. Last time, the dough was different. Very flat with lots of holes. This time, I saw it being made. The employee making the pizzas hand stretched and then rolled the hell out of the dough with some spiked roller. This has ruined what used to be a fluffy crust. Now it's more akin to a shop bought base. Also, as you'll see from the photo, sections of the pizza are entirely missing toppings. We got a pizza with the new bullseye sauce. I'd be shocked if they put a teaspoon of it on there. There is a noticeable reduction in the amount of ingredients from months back. Lots of costcutting. If the owner doesn't start to make changes, I'd be shocked if Papa Johns have a branch in Ipswich next year. Rarely have I seen quality drop so rapidly in a takeaway.

how disappointed were we, haven't ordered from here for a long time, were looking forward to a tasty, hot, soft pizza. what we received was so far from that, dry, hard, minimal topping, barely warm what has happened to Papa John!! would not waste that much money again

Ordered a meal... First issue was the app gave me a delivery notice 20 mins before the food arrived when I rung to enquire 10mins after the notification the woman at the store was brash and rude. Then the food arrived and was just bad the pizza was cold unbelievably poor service. Papa John's was my go to years ago and now I doubt I'll ever purchase again truly awful! Avoid this store for sure what a waste of my money... Iv

**updated 30/5/24 I'm done with papa John's* see attached picture and tell me if I'm being greedy or that pizza lacks beef. Also arrived late and cold. ** Always my goto for pizza as they just seem so much better. Cooked better better fresher ingredients and not oily. Unfortunately my last order of 4 pizzas for my birthday get together, something was a miss. I think papa forgot the toppings 3 of our pizzas where chicken and I would say all 3 combined would have only just about had enough for one pizza very disappointed. The pepperami was covered and delishious as always. Feels like it's no good running deals if the toppings are going to be reduced as I have never seen pizza like this from here.

Absolutely dreadful! Don't listen to you on the phone, needed to replace an incorrect order... Ended up driving all the way to collect even though I paid for delivery only to arrive and it wasn't even made! So had to sit and wait ten minutes. This was an early Tuesday afternoon so not even an excuse of them being busy! Will be finding another pizza provider from now on just too many times too many problems!!

Tried calling so many times and picked call after many tries and and when I asked for side's they were not ready to take order and the guy told it takes 1hour 30 minutes for 1 mile delivery worst experience we will never come back to this store again

Cold Pizza finally delivered over an hour after being ordered and sitting in the "cutting and checking" for over half an hour. Rang to find out and everyone was rude and promising the pizza would be delivered in 5 mins. It wasn't. It was cold and missing toppings. This store sucks. Don't order from them.

we had called the restaurant 3 times and each time they had said the food had been “on the way” while they had said that the food had been delivered. the delivery driver was a sweet man but was very clueless as he had 3 food orders to deliver, the restaurant had said the driver was “stuck in traffic” and the second time we had called, they said “the food hasn’t left the restaurant” will not be ordering from here anytime soon.

Ordered food at 4pm and the food has only just arrived at 5:30pm even though the Papa John’s tracking app marked it as delivered to our property at just gone 5 pm, the lady who delivered the food couldn’t have been ruder, Tried telling us to leave her alone and any problems to ring the restaurant, I mentioned to her I had rung the restaurant multiple times and was unable to get through to which she answered that’s not my problem and just leave me alone again and drove off, we weren’t given all of our food and the food that we were given was stone cold Avoid at all costs Food inedible

Avoid at all costs, the staff don’t know what they’re doing. I ordered a pizza, 2 sides, a drink and 2 packs of ice cream for delivery. I stated clear instructions on how to find me. The delivery driver went to the wrong place, forgot the drink and ice cream and wanted to argue with my husband until he looked at the receipt himself. He went back for the drink and the ice cream, brought the wrong ice cream that was half melted. I phoned to complain and get a refund, staff told me that they ran out of other ice cream and to email customer service instead. Too much hassle than it’s worth.

The food we never received, the service well, there wasn’t any. You phone up and they either hang up on you or they just never answer the phone. Would never recommend Papa John’s to anyone.

Will not be ordering from here again. And time I've eaten here and both times I have had missing items! Gave benefit of the doubt first time round they did bring it back by an hour later, today they forgot my extras I ordered and said they would bring it back, it's been well over an hour and nothing.

The order was 1 hour 45 minutes late, they didn’t bring my dip, and the driver “couldn’t be bothered” to come to the house so I had to meet him on the road.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited for 2h for 2 pizzas, for them to arrive stone cold. Had to reheat it in the oven. Tried calling the number no answer. Last time I get a pizza here and will tell everyone.

I don’t order takeout much, but decided to go to papa johns due to an offer they have. I didn’t realise it was a set offer, and due to my dietary requirements I wasn’t able to get it. The young fella served me and was very accommodating. Great service and a great smile! Very welcoming and overall good experience. Thank you! Will be returning.

We ordered pizza been 2 hours since ordered and had no meal, but the tracking said was delivered. We phoned 16 times, and no one picked up. we then had travel to the other side of town. We were told o be with you in five minutes, and we were 20 minutes across town. Then the delivery driver then phoned said got your pizza now," which was over two hours. We was told that the man left our pizza on the rubbish bin at the side of our house and how disgusting it was. No apology or nothing. The pizza was cold but then was over 2 hours . This first time, I had such bad experience, and we are sure we won't be coming back. We be tell friends on social media not to use here. WE BE SURE TO BE MAKING COMPLAINANT!!😡 .......UPDATE....... We was offered a free pizza and weren't able to use it online as told to spend over £13.00. 🤔

Ordered a pizza for the first time, it took an hour and 10 minutes, and when we got out pizza it was barley warm, quite chewy. First time ordering from papa John's and probably never again.

Ordered a pizza online for ASAP and the food has taken over an hour to be delivered and is still not here. when i was chasing up the order, the response was we are busy its no its way and the customer service is shocking. No apology or anything

Please read before purchasing: Terrible experience. Rude service, unhelpful and awkward with selecting toppings, speaking in native language while banging about after taking order, cannot pay cash, poor end product served pretty much luke warm at best. Having ordered around 45-60 minutes ago, the Indian speaking male server working tonight should be fired. Look at the picture (toppings completely missing having only pepperoni and italian sausage on mine, no triple cheese and tuna) Just walked in to order two pizzas. Current offer is large pizza for £10 so I opted for the create your own option with 4 toppings. We all have our own preferences regarding toppings but here was my order: Pizza 1: - Pineapple - Onion - Sweetcorn - Italian Sausage Pizza 2: - Pepperoni x 2 (changed to single pepperoni and italian sausage as I was being repeatedly told the price for both will be £25 instead of £20 in a sulky, irrate, insubordinate tone - rather than simply explain you cannot have a double topping in the deal which does not make sense at all) - Triple Cheese - Tuna Look at the picture of pizza 2. This is not a joke. I even overhead the moron saying something along the lines of only 2 pieces of pepperoni while his colleague was making the pizza which as you can see, several slices barely have 1 piece. Both pizzas completely substandard but nowhere near as substandard as the imbecile taking the orders. Sack this person because he is not worthy to even serve pizzas. Two people even walked out after a brief conversation with said person, it is definitely costing the company money. Look at the reviews. Sort it out or close up shop and gtfo.

Literally the worst papa John's. Don't order from this one. Often arrives cold. Never on time. Occasionally misses items too. They Don't answer the phone. Delivery tracker always says delivered half hour before it arrives.

Shocking. Took over two hours to deliver, app stated delivered 20 minutes before it finally arrived. No answer to any of the 7 phone calls made to the branch between ordering and eventual delivery. Cannot get an answer to raise a complaint within their Ts & Cs 30 minute window, and can’t return the items to store because we’ve had a few beers. I’d be less annoyed if it had actually been hot when it finally arrived instead of stone cold. Not happy and will not order again.

As long as you go into ordering from here with no expectations of customer service or reliable delivery times, this place is alright. The pizza can be good but there's a lack of consistency. Sometimes it turns up luke warm or burnt, other times it's great. Delivery is a complete lottery as is order tracking. It's not uncommon to wait well over an hour for a delivery. Staff are unfriendly, whether in store or over the phone. Pizza is expensive for what it is so I expect better.

The food arrived late and it was very cold, the packaging was cold too. Contacted the restaurant regarding the lateness of the order, the massage was that they would text me within 5 minutes. As of now I haven’t heard from them. I called the restaurant and was told the driver was on his way and should be with us in a few minutes which was not true. Food is always delayed and long to deliver and by the time it has arrived it's stone cold with the rudest staff when complaining. It's a shame.

Very busy. The staff were very efficient, though it did appear that someone was either training on the terminal or getting to grips with a new system. Having said that we got our pizzas piping hot and when they said. The server also recommended a deal to save us money, when I tried to book in on the Web it came out at £40, when I phoned up the same order came to £26! That is what I call service!!

Absolutely wonderful. I think alot of review's are poor because of the terrible service from just eat, if you go in and order, it will be fresh, delicious, and perfect. Also, SO much cheaper to go instore. Would highly recommend.

Great quality and delicious pizza. Recommend for students. I am currently a student at the University of Suffolk and Papa Johns is conveniently located next to the university campus. I regularly use the Papa John’s app to get student discounts and save a lot of money on pizza. I can buy medium pizzas for £7.99 instead of the usual £21.99. The pizzas are high quality and tasty and would highly recommend to other people especially students.

Some of the worst service i have ever received. food arrived late, we called the store and they told us it was only now leaving the store (the marked the delivery as out for delivery & completed before it even left the store. pizza was half cold and had little to no toppings on it. We also ordered a pepsi and the delivery woman said she would go back and get it for us. after another 45 minutes we called again to see where our pepsi was. all we got was a "oh did you actually want that?" and then said they would send someone to us with it. Another half an hour goes past so we call again ( our place is max a 3 minute drive from the store) and when we asked about the pepsi again they just hung up on us. Alas we called again but luckily our delivery woman ( who seems to be the only person in that store who does their job) picked up and said she would sort it. Finally we got out full order. Have contacted customer services as they love to mention that in their replies but its been nearly a week and no acknowledgment of this issue. Its very clear looking at previous reviews that this store is being allowed to operate poorly with no repercussions. Joke of a business

First and last order from this company! The app said 40 mins for delivery. It took an hour and 15 instead. I called the store and the person seemed to make a deliberate effort to mumble into the phone and I couldn't hear what he was saying and then he just hung up. He then ignored any further calls that I tried to make. When the food finally arrived it really was not worth the wait. The food quality has really dropped since we last ordered from them a few years ago.

Delivery time was a bit long. Placed and order at 00:00 -> the system said delivered at 00:38 (which is wrong) and the actuall delivery time was 01:00. However pizza is soooo delicious. I would recommend to come and pick it up yourself

Ordered around 11pm, website said delivered, we never recieved our order 🤬 no one is answering the phone to find out where its been delivered to. Whoever has taken our food in, enjoy your free food 🤬 Update, have called Papa John's who claim they didn't recieve my order ! Its not in their system ! So if an order wasn't made where has my £17 vanished to? And why did your website tell me you'd recieved the order and given me an order number ? Honestly I strongly advise anyone who's thinking of ordering here, don't!

Absolutely shocking. Ordered a stuffed crust pizza and when it turned up they had sent a normal crust. I called them twice to query and when they finally picked up, they said they had no stuffed crust so added extra cheese. There was barely any cheese on it anyhow. They sent the wrong drink and our potato bacon and cheese side was cold and squished. Doubt I'll come back. Not to mention they were so rude on the phone. They really didn't want to know and got angry with me when I questioned the stuffed crust.

Cold pizzas both times..ordered two pizzas first for collection drove all the way there to find one pizza on shelf 2nd pizza not even made so one was cold...tonight ordered for collection drove there they said it wasn't even in oven so I went next door to tesco came back waited 10 mins guy give me wrong pizza mine was ov on the shelf when I originally got there..what a joke cold pizza

Just don't. D Drivers cannot follow simple delivery instructions even though I'm very close. Pizza ended up going into the Travel Lodge?? Rude, aggressive when calling you as well. Delivered the wrong order - sent another - but had this weird thing about taking the incorrect one back - to check, like I was lying or something. Store staff also couldn't care less when you call. Cannot follow simple order and delivery - which is fundamental stuff. Simply put - do not expect correct food or prompt delivery. I hope this franchise shuts in the current review PJ are taking, or is taken over by competent management.

Shambolic- pizza has taken 2 hours to arrive on two occasions and staff unapologetic- took 7 phone calls just to get through and query where the delivery is at. Tracker is useless and excuses given instead of apologies.

Shocking service. Over 1 hour 20 for delivery. No body answered our calls to check on delivery so we ended up ordering from another pizza firm who were able to deliver in 15 minutes. Complete waste of money. Will not use again.

The jokers that run this place, honestly. Really annoying little things like running out of dips. Or not using the tracking function properly so you never know when it is actually on the way. Papa John's pizzas are great, but the folk that run this restaurant arnt
