Papa John's Pizza in Stockport

My girlfriend ordered some food from here as a little surprise for me at around 7 at night, it was supposed to arrive at 10:15 it is now 11:40 and the store has been closed for 40 minutes. The delivery man told my girlfriend on a call that he couldn’t find my house although she gave him the exact address and I also stood outside waiting. It isn’t even hard to find at all btw… Now they aren’t answering any calls and I am here waiting wondering where the driver is and presuming that he has probably gone home with my food. She was VERY clear on where my house was and even asked him to knock on my door when delivering so it would be a nice surprise and they have seriously taken the mick now she is upset because she has spent basically £40 (which is a rip off) and I haven’t even received anything so they have basically stolen £40 I am very annoyed with this situation and am expecting her to get a full refund. If we do not get a full refund I will be forced to escalate this further because this is a joke.

Fastest delivery with better food than Domino’s. Thanks for making my day.

Awful service & food, I ordered a large pizza and sides for delivery & the food was cold and the pizza was the wrong order. I called to complain and the man on the phone was not only rude but didn’t help in any way, instead he told me I was wrong and the food was hot and was the correct order. Really unhappy, I’ve used this papa johns branch before after recently locating to the area & it has been fine but I will definitely not be going there again.

Ordered 2 pizza and 2 sides over an hour to arrive only one pizza turned up cold and someone else's disgusting cauliflower chunks we didn’t order rang the shop to ask where the other pizza was the person on the phone could barely speak or understand English took 5 minutes before they even understood what I was saying then he said in broken English the driver is coming back 15 minutes later no driver came back had to ring the shop again and again and again they kept putting the phone down finally answered and had to attempt to get then to understand English again they they said they were cooking another pizza and the driver was delivering that when it finally arrived it was like it was straight out of the fridge absolutely disgusting. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE AND DONT RING UP UNLESS YOU ARE A TRANSLATOR

Ordered a take away that has taken more than 2:5 hours! Arrived cold and unapologetic - going to use Rudy’s from now on!

Nice food let down by dreadful customer service. They will always mark your food as delivered earlier than it arrives, probably to fudge the figures. Tonight's food took an hour and 45 mins to arrive, and when it did it was cold and missing an item. Phoned and asked for a refund because I didn't have another 2 hours to wait for replacements. He said they don't do refunds. I carried on insisting and eventually he said I could have my money back. I don't have much faith the money will appear.

still waiting for my pizza 12 hrs, not sure if the oven is slow cooking or staff not arsed. Ordered via deliveroo on Sunday 10,15pm they accepted the order and took the payment.

Have to say, Papa John’s will be my go to from this point. Quality has massively improved after a fall which made me look elsewhere. The stuffed crust and dough is exceptional and the toppings have lost the artificial taste the had at a time. Delivered hot and it good time.

They tried to charge me £20 quid for a large ( collection ) I said it was more than Dominos He then said trying to do me a deal £8.99 just for you sir Stickered all over the windows was 8.99 if you collect Tried telling me it was a deal at Stockport I’m essence tried to rip us off

This was the first time I ordered Papa John's in Cheadle Hulme. The food was good quality. Ashish gave my order, he was so polite and kind. Would fully recommend it if you are in the area and want a good quality of pizza.

I usually always get an XLL. It’s a great pizza and the ingredients taste better than Domino’s. The stuffed crust quality and thickness is in a different league to Domino’s. Dominos however have a lot more customisation options. Papa Johns don’t allow you to customise the half and half pizzas. You have to have pre set halves (these are limited as well) and can’t edit a single topping out or in. Not very good and why I’ve never ordered a half and half. I hope they work on this. Papa Johns also need to add a garlic bread that is a pizza base rather than their Garlic Sticks. They used to have really good discount offers as well which meant I could get a XXL delivered for around £14. Now with the new delivery fee, inflation and less offers it’s usually about £18 delivered which is putting me off ordering weekly now.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service I am sick to the back teeth of your antics papa John sort your employees or else I shall take my business elsewhere I am very keen on my pizza and I would have loved filling my mouth with your flavour papa John. I am not very happy and my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined and we are not even 15 minutes in to it I am appalled never have I ever heard such blasphemy and inappropriate language ringing through my ears drums this is why I wrote this review hope you have a squelching day and DO NOT ORDER HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SANITY!!!! I am up the wall with this behaviour such a disgrace my nephew was bawling his eyes out when he couldn’t have his scrumptious smoky sensationally seasoned succulent salmon.

Was supposed to be large pizza £9.99 delivered, then I had to pay £13.98, to qualify, to pay £1.99 to be delivered!!!!!! The pizza was stone cold, the chicken wings were disgusting, I ate them, and, they made me vomit!!!!!!!!!!

Please learn how to cut the pizza into more even slices. Some are literally 3 times the size of others. Since writing last review, got another pizza cut unevenly again. Come on it’s not that difficult and is really annoying when you’re sharing for it to be so uneven just look at them slices of pepperoni.

We treat ourselves once a month to a pizza and are generally very happy with the service and food. After tonight we won't be again. We ordered for 8pm and our order arrived at 8.40, stone cold, stodgy (presumably because it had been sitting around for so long) and largely inedible!

I usually like pizza from here, however the one I got last time made my kid ill. Garlic bread tasted fine, however pizza wasn't at its best. Nevertheless it arrived hot, despite waiting for nearly an hour. Furthermore, after trying to redeem my reward points for a pizza and free side I was told by the app, I have to spend another £13.99 instead of £1.99, which I think it is a con. You should not be charging people £13.99 by making them order this is just a greed and money grabbing in plain sight!. Won't be ordering from here anymore. I should be able to redeem points what I earned without needing to pay and order stuff which I completely don't need. And go easy on a salt guys..pizzas are full of it.

This was the first time trying the Papa Johns in Cheadle Hulme. The food was good quality and they are open until late on weekends. They have a lot of vegan options and they keep expanding the menu to be more inclusive for people with a vegan diet which is great. The food can be a little on the expensive side, but they usually have decent deals on. The staff at this particular Papa Johns were friendly and there was a misunderstanding regarding an online order being paid for, but it quickly got sorted out. Would fully recommend them if you are in the area and want pizza.

Picked up our pizza which was sealed so we didn’t check until we got home and it was burnt black. To get a refund you must to return it back to the store within half an hour of collection - we live 20 minutes away! Why would anyone think it’s acceptable to put a burnt pizza in a box for a customer? Really disappointing. We won’t be returning.

Because it is my new work place for life resulting money making, it's my older brother's place, my childhood neighbours I reunite with and they have a successful blockbuster crew there, all the pizzas are tasty and awesome with nuggets with chickens and the service there is amazing.

Great staff, very helpful and polite, same with the delivery driver Thumbs up for the pizza from my son. Huge thumbs up to the vegan Philly mushroom papadias as I'm not a lover of vegan cheese it's nice to have another option also because it's bloody delicious . UPDATE UPDATE Mistakes can always happen. But these guys rectify theirs flawlessly. Ordered a couple pizzas today for collection. As I drove home my phone rang. I didn't answer as I was driving. On arriving home I found it was Papa John's apologising for giving me the wrong pizza. They sent a driver out ASAP with the correct one. In the time it took me to eat 2 slices the correct pizza arrived! They must have been onto rectifying the mistake in a blink of an eye and sent it out on a priority delivery as it was peak busy Sat night! Good work guys. REVIEW TWO I bumped into the delivery driver as I arrived home. Very cheerful and friendly. Service with a smile. Makes all the difference. Big up the delivery crew especially MR REGGAE LOVER LOVER (you know who you are😜)

Enjoyed the pizza. Be careful of the app because it defaults to collection when you add a promotion. Called the store to request delivery instead and told they were too busy. Turned up and the place was literally empty with a line of delivery drivers outside.

Was expecting top notch pizza after paying nearly 40 quid for 2,went off dominoes years ago when they franchised out, this place has gone down the same way. Pizza should be made with passion by people who know about Pizza.

Very very poor service. Arrived cold, by the time kids were ready to it (2/3 mins) it was stone cold, had to re-heat it. Not ideal when you just spent £30! I wish I had read the other reviews before placing the order. Waste of money, will never go back there again. Truly disappointed.

I spent about 20 minutes over the phone ordering pizzas and when I asked to confirm the order the member of staff got it completely wrong! The staff do not wear masks and do not keep to social distancing rules, or wear gloves, hopefully they wash their hands regularly. Hopefully the staff had proper training, because I do not feel that the person on the phone had any.

I'm not from the area but when my hotel grill stopped serving food at 9pm I turned to pappa... The authentic crust was cooked well and just a lovely pizza delivered fast. Thank you.

Ordered from here many times now for delivery and collection. The order is always right always on time and always tasty. The best place for vegans as they have many options on pizza , sides and desserts

This was my first time ordering delivery and will definitely be the last... even though I’m a five minute drive from store it took over a hour the food to come and was nearly cold and the cookie was burnt and hard and half the order was missing Then when I called about the missing items I felt like I was bothering them , it took a another 25 minutes to get the missing order and they still sent the wrong drink. I know they have busy times but I’m not buying that as an excuse at 10pm on a Sunday night and it’s definitely no excuse for warmish pizza and burnt cookies.

The food was nice but the slices were on even as me and my friends could not all have even slices and it is ridiculously pricey and I will not be ordering from you ever again lower your prices they are absolutely awful it is not good at all I write this a one star The driver also parked on my drive which was very weird

Everything was spot on. Pizzas tasted amazing and fresh. We got thin crust and didn't taste too fatty. We customised the order and it was exactly what we asked for and delivered in just under 40 mins. Will use again, perfect.

Bloody awful service..ordered a double pepperoni pizza with extra anchovies, green chili and olives via uber eats and it turns up with no pepperoni?! They argued with me and told me to call uber?

I came back and edited this review as after ordering a few times pizzas have gotten worse and so has delivery. Late delivery and orders have been missing items. One of the delivery staff was cocky and was lucky to get away without a slap. Will never order again. Avoid.

Since this pizza place has been open we thought it was fantastic. But we have just had two pizzas that were shocking . Think the standard has really hit the floor. What a shame .
