The Canadian Charcoal Pit in Stockport

Ordered two pizzas, a portion of cheesy chips and 10 onion rings. Took over an hour to arrive, and arrived lukewarm. After this, myself and my brother both ended up with food poisoning, to which I have only just recovered, despite having the meal over a week ago. Would definitely avoid this place unless you enjoy severe vomiting!

Changed hands through franchise, food is terrible, gone down hill so fast, ie donner kebab, meat dry and crusty and salad like mush, never again

I had a great burger after working in the area, good serve of chips, and they really look after you when you drop parcels off to them as well!

App was updated over half an hour before being delivered saying it was out for delivery. Food was quite cold. Very unusual for them, usually hot and quick.

Had to rate 1 star to write the review. Got my order wrong and when I spoke to the manager was told cant replace my as partner had bitten into dispite given specific instructions on the online order. Was a regular customer not anymore. The manger basically tried to have an arguement and was not helpful at all shouting down the phone. we will not be ordering from here again. Infact it was disgraceful the manger didn't offer something should we order again or replace the food his attitude was disgusting Awful service stay away if you want a takeaway honestly not worth the hassle if they get it wrong. Should be -10 we will be going elsewhere for a takeaway do not order from here if you want abuse if the order they send is wrong. Other reviews are negative aswell !!

Only just moved to the area bought large Donner with fries communication was awful asked for mild sauce and salad on donner he forgot the salad so gave me a tray which was fine however got home and took a bite he had covered it with hot sauce only managed a few bites the rest when in the bin today I have had the worst belly ache and sickness and spent most of the day in the bathroom certainly wouldn't order again

Be careful with this place our order was over charged by £3 then he declined and took the correct amount stated. and they must be doing this to everyone. We placed our order inside the shop and the man serving was so comfortable in trying to take extra money from us. Luckily I only put what I'm owed in my bank so I realised straight away. Never EVER again

I put salt on the chips when I didn't ask for it

Pizza was sloppy and cheese had slid to the bottoms of the box, not impressed.

Garlic bread was pretty much burned amazed they sent it out looking like that.

Did not have a great experience after ordering a luxury prairiedog, got home only to find they had given me a normal one, phoned up to complain and ended up going back to sort it out, after making a new one for me, got home and again it was wrong, they forgot to add the cheese. I will not be ordering anything from this fast food establishment ever again

Pizza and garlic mayo dip were tasty. The chips were soft, cold, and a bit of a let down.

Both orders were wrong and they were more salad than kebab

Burger bun was stale and Chips tasted like they had been re-heated. Burger wasn't nice and didn't have a the correct salad items I asked for. Wouldn't order again

Absolutely shocking food …. Garlic bread with cheese cold and tasted stale I read some reviews before ordering thought I’d give the benefit of the doubt but the burgers great great either below average cheese burger ordered a zinger burger chicken one for partner and wow who puts peri salt a big clump of it mind in the middle of a chicken burger that was supposed to be the zing to the zinger burger he choked on it !! Absolutely poor food should be ashamed to even be running a fast takeout.

Big chunks of Grizzle in every 3 bites of my burger I took.. rotten.. everything went in the bin.. no drinks either.. far better places than eya..

After reading some reviews we were unsure. Donner kebab in naan huge and meat quality really nice. Pizzas are so fluffy and tasty and garlic bread with naan the same. Will be ordering again very soon!!

The food tonight was not the usually good standard. The hash browns was grey inside and looked re-heated. I could not risk eating them. The peri peri fries were soggy. The bread on the burger was wet on the bottom and not edible. We threw quite a lot of the meal which cost £32.00 in the bin. Not happy and disappointed.

Love the Canadian Charcoal Pit Reddish. Always good quality food at a reasonable price. The new milkshakes are delicious too. 😋

Ordered 2 kebabs with salad, was given no salad, ordered kids meal and it states includes a kids drink, didn't recieve that either.

Great food at affordable price

Thx guys 🙏 By far one of the best takeaways going from proper fresh old school lamb donner kebabs with plenty of meat and salad to fully loaded tasty amazing pizzas, and garlic bread that actually tastes like garlic instead of just cheese on toast! Out of my area and the service was still rapid. Definitely worth a 10/10

I asked for thin crust as I do not like pizza which have more pastry than pizza but it came with deep pan , so it went in the bin , so never again , just a waste of money

I am fuming… I went to order a pizza everything was fine, on the menu it says 10” pizza for 5.20 so I tapped my card thinking I was paying for 5.20 pizza. Got a notification on my phone saying 7£ was charged , he told me it had declined and blamed it on the “old menu” although it is on the menu when you first walk in he said it was fine and I can pay the 5.20… then my friend continued to order chips and chicken strips which was a total of 6.20 the man gave him change of 3£ from paying 10£ when they should of give him the change of 3.80 aswell as that when we was ordering he had his AirPod in and when we spoke he replied “what what” as he wasn’t listening so we had to repeat ourselves as well as getting our orders wrong twice when we sat waiting for our food the man was dirty looking us and looking us up and down. Bad customer service never again

Paid the driver as I called the restaurant for mushrooms on garlic bread when got into flat no mushrooms on it and food was cold very unhappy

Food was disgusting. Seasoning put on onion rings instead of chilli bites. No cheese and dressing with the burger. Terrible! Will not be recommending and certainly not ordering from here again. Very poor !

Food as always was gorgeous, however the delivery was handled terribly. The app told us it was delivered at 8.30pm but we had received nothing rang the restaurant twice and was given two different reasons for the delay and then once it came we received another different reason for the delay. As i said food was gorgeous but delivery delays are handled poorly.

Food was 2 hours late and only sent after I called twice to chase it. Burger was dry and definitely not a steak burger. Meat in kebab was bland. Pizzas were okay.

Ordered pizza it took over 90mins to come 20 mins past eta when it arrived the only thing hot was the jalapeños it’s a no from me .phoned to ask eta and was made to feel that I was being awkward

As always,,,,tasty hot food. Friendly, respectful drivers. Theres a reason I always come back to the Charcoal pit and thats because the staff and drivers are reliable and food is always on point. Highly recommend.

Just paid £12.00 for the special mixed kebab they must of left half of it on the grill... I've eaten bigger starters (see picture) £12 for that..? What a joke, & they charge extra for any salad to go with it, never again will i use this place

I ordered my food at 8pm and it arrived at half 9. Everything was cold so went in the bin. I would like a refund!

We used to order from this shop on a regular basis, the food was great however will never order again as they have cancelled the order twice because I had some discount on Uber drive when you order so many times from the same shop, and I don’t think they were happy about having the discount. It is a shame really!

Popcorn chicken was cold and incredibly chewy, pizzas were luke warm and had to heated in the microwave. They gave me a free can of coke but I'd rather have hot and nicer food. Sorry.

Very late, so food was only lukewarm. I had to ring to find out where the food was. Disappointing as I've had better service previously.

Delivered wrong order and very very late. Usually ok from here but disappointed this time.

Absolutely terrible. Waited 2 hours for food delivery and never told or even contacted about my order. Howling service if you have an issue they will just not answer the phone to you, many other customers can vouch this. Delivery is charged on your order but the service you pay for is terrible cause they don't seem to know how a clock works. AVOID AND GO ELSEWHERE.

Best takeaway I’ve had for a while

Forgot my drink, the chips were soggy and delivery driver was rude

I accidentally had the wrong address on my order, I called the restaurant and they changed it straight away for me.

Pizza is always good, delivery driver friendly, and the meal deals are great value. My go to pizza place. Chilli cheese bites are delicious!

If i could give zero stars i would, ordered the meal deal 4 (2 kebabs and a garlic bread) turned up without the garlic bread and the wrong sauce i requested on my kebeb.pathetic.wouldnt even answer the phone
