We ordered 3 times money got taken and then our order got cancelled then the money got put back into our account. After that’s happened we’ve rang twice to be told they haven’t got our order.. so we ordered on the phone.. we was told 20 minutes.. we waited around half an hour and then called and got told they haven’t got the order again. Best pizza by far and this Ely store the team is super friendly and helpful. They rang us when the order would be late and compensated for it.

I’ve ordered three times from here and all three times my delivery has arrived between 30 mins to an hour later than the delivery spot I have requested. What’s the point in asking for when you want it delivered if these times aren’t ever met?

Love the taste of Papa John's pizza from this store. The crust is always perfectly cooked, the sauce is so flavorful, and the toppings are fresh. The service was equally impressive, the staff are friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu well.

First time ordering with PapaJohns and it was almost an hour late and the pizza was cold. Once re-heated it was okay.

It's ok if they get your order right, but we always find our food is a bit on the cold side. We just had 2 pizzas delivered by Papa John's Ely, and one was right and the other had the correct label but was the wrong pizza. I phoned and asked for a replacement and they said sure, and said that'll be about 20mins (I did think that felt a little optimistic at the time). After many chase ups and empty promises on the ETA, it took 2.5 hours to arrive from when I rang originally rang for the replacement. This left me with a hangry girlfriend for that period of time, which has a very poor effect on the morale in the household, to which I hold Papa John's responsible. This isn't the first time I've been let down by this delivery service and although I like the pizza, it is not worth the hassle. We will not be using them again.

Wasn’t delivered till 6:15 was cold and one pizza was poorly made and cold. Boxes were smushed down onto the pizza

I received the wrong item and didn’t receive my drink at all. Not happy

I ordered food based on the delivery time and was given a twenty minute window within which to expect it. 15 minutes after that window (an hour from ordering) I called to find out what was happening to be told the driver was on the way to collect it from the restaurant. It was a further hour before the food arrived, at 10pm! I have had the same experience previously from Ely Papa Johns but gave the benefit of the doubt to try again. Will not do so in future.

My ‘all the trimmings’ pizza I ordered didn’t have the Brussels or the cranberry drizzle so I was really disappointed :( also it was nearly an hour later then the latest they said they would be so we ended up eating really late.

Ordered over 2hrs ago and still not arrived. Every time I ring I’m told it’ll be 10mins. This is not the first time I’ve had this experience with this store.

2 hours late and freezing cold food

This place is horribly bad, the staff are rude, you wait 3 hours for your food delivered and it's cold and yeah overall avoid especially if you actually live within Ely so many other places that deserve your money a lot more than this Papa Johns I ordered around September after having one half decent one wanted to give them another go and then it was stone cold and took hours to arrive and yeah they offered me the same order for the next day said I want my money back said they couldn't do it to call head office, the complaints email with Papa John's is awful and couldn't get anywhere for months so called them up yesterday to say I think you owe me the order said when the manager is present he "might" honour what he said before but since the time had gone by etc and then today manager agreed but couldn't understand the order he said he would send each item the same but would have to put the order in individually long story short half the items didn't turn up and it took them just under 4 hours to arrive and numerous phone calls in which they kept lying saying it was out for delivery... So AVOID this store. Also they will reply with some generic reply to every review they put because they don't care.

The man at the counter was constantly asking me to leave him a good review. He offered me and my friends free drinks if i leave a good review and i found him very annoying. I shant be going back whilst he is there so i had to go to dominoes instead when i wanted a pizza recently. I loved the food but he just put me off so i rated the food highly but the atmosphere was horrible

I ordered via Just Eat. The food never arrived. I phoned to ask for my money back and they refused. I am starving and angry.

The food just hasn’t arrived. And I requested a partial refund, but when I phoned to follow up, the restaurant said they couldn’t do anything. I’m starving and livid.

I ordered 3 pizza's from the App - the delivery never came so called to enquire what was happening, they said they had "NO DOUGH LEFT" and offered a credit for a free pizza. As I don't live in the UK, I said I wanted a refund, but that seemed to fall on deaf ears. After numerous emails asking for my money back they STILL won't refund my money. Even though they clearly admit they were sorry for the problem, they will only offer a free pizza. I have to say I've never used Papa Johns before, and I will never be using them again. Customer service is appalling, and to make up some rubbish that you have no dough left is laughable. If they do this to everyone, they're keeping money that doesn't belong to them! If we all just walk away and give up, they're onto a huge money scam

Really enjoyed this , this time , been disappointed in the past , but everything was great on this occasion . Food was hot and tasty , delivered fast , the tomato & Herb dips are really nice , the deal for what i had was reasonably priced . i do not like potato tots tho , they taste horrible when they get cold , would prefer a option for chips

Delay in Delivery to soham it will take more than an hour. So no point of ordering again from here. Now it’s over one hour but still we didn’t receive the order yet.

I stayed in Ely during a business trip and this was next to my flat. There were times when all other places are closed and I found that this is a Great spot for late night pizza, service was quick and the employee is very helpful. Would come back again no doubt.

I felt I had to write a review because I know the ratings here aren’t so good and want to share my thoughts. In keeping with what others having said, in the past I have known the delivery to take a very long time (up to 2hrs). Despite this, I come back to Papa Johns because the food is by far the best out of all pizza delivery options in my opinion (lots of good options for dietary requirements) and I always get exactly what I’ve ordered, no problems like with other takeaways. Having said this, customer service has also really improved recently. A few weeks ago my food came within about 15-20 mins. Most recently it did take an hour and I had anticipated this so didn’t mind, but I got an email apologising for the wait and giving me a code for a free pizza! Thanks Papa Johns :)

Customer service is shocking! My Wife ordered a stuff crust pizza, this pizza arrived and was a strange non tasting cheese.. we then called the store and they mentioned that they had run out of normal cheese so gave her vegan cheese (why wasn’t we notified before delivery) they then said they will give us a free stuffed crust pizza next time. We have just called and spoke to someone and he basically said there is no way we will be getting a free stuffed crust pizza? Shocking!

Was extremely late almost 2 hours but ended showing up with a free pizza in great condition.

2nd time ordered across a year and messed it up yet again. 1st time took my order and money online and they never delivered, they then randomly tried to redeliver the next night at 11pm waking whole house up including my baby. This time ordered a pizza, which actually arrive this time, but wrong toppings on it even though the label was correct. man on phone acted like its my fault, customer service to rectify is just as bad as the pizza. tried twice messed up twice so wont be going here again.

Disgusting customer service. They should be ashasmed of themselves for the shitshow they are running there. Ordered food at 6pm on a Thursday and it takes over two hours to arrive, with nothing more than a “sorry”. This place is a genuine disgrace and really need to reevaluate what they are doing with their lives.

I rang Papa Johns the person who pick up the phone was rude and said he didn’t have my order and after arguing with him and gave him my order, reference number, my address and my telephone number and my name he found the order and said his driver will be with me, I will not use papa John’s again as the service and food was really bad.

Orderd a brownie and ice cream it had been an hour called up and the man on the phone was very rude. They said it takes 40-45. Maximum for delivery but still not Received it an hour later. Not impressed Staff are rude and not on time.
