Papa John's Pizza in Leicester

When somebody orders a "hot buffalo drizzle"... They expect a drizzle, and not a drenching of sauce. I had to pat the pizza down with kitchen towel to absorb all the excess sauce. There was also no garlic butter. I paid extra for garlic and herb/bbq, but didn't get the original sauces. This place used to be so much better.

two hours not Pizza I call in a store? The guy told me 10 minutes 15 minute half an hour but still I haven’t received And this is happened always 4 /5 times happened then I cancel my order and I order from Fireway pizza and always making a mistake if I put a note to change my topping then never change the topping that I’ve never seen Store like this rugby store guys don’t order any pizza or anything from the store is rubbish the guy also rude. Don’t know how to talk manager I don’t know what your name managers.

It was a bit cold inside and weren't any heaters.

The order never arrived, the restaurant will not answer the phone and there is nowhere on Just Eat to speak to anyone. I have sent a message of which i will receive an email in a couple of days! I expect to get a refund It is very disappointing

Shop is not open took my order said it’s been delivered went down there is work men in there says open online absolutely shocking

£20 for a pizza, which I don't mind because this chain is of a good quality. One piece of peperoni per slice on a double peperoni XXL pizza 😂 Jog on, ripping customers off may save money initially, but it's a false economy, I won't order again and word of mouth is strong

Was my first time using papa John’s. Unfortunately the best bit was the quick delivery. Pizza was tasteless and wings were tiny with just a drizzle of bbq sauce on them. Won’t be using again, will stick to dominoes.

The pizza was small and expensive

Said 45 mins for pizza but we called 1hour 30 mins later and they tell us they haven't made our pizza yet. So stupid smh never ordering from hem again and no one else should either

1 1/2 hour food to come for delivery and when we rang they haven't prepared to make the food after the 1 hour mark

Bombay pizza was TASTLESS (due to lack of toppings was just dried cheesh.. cutting out paid for ingredients lol AWFUL and delivered COLD! no spice NO CHILLIE as advertised just a waste of money. DRIED OUT CHEESH topping very disappointing as this was my first meal from this branch! Really wish I had read recent reviews before ordering my bad!

Disgusting, not enough topping on the pizza and its like just eating dough. Awful. Overpriced. Not enought tom sauce, cheese, meats or veg. I cant believe Papa jones are happy serving this and if they dont make a change they will go under. People will go elsewhere. If the pizza was £1 i would even order. Dont be tricked by their online deals as i was!!! Shame on papa jones. Had it about 10 years ago and it was ok, no complaints. The cost cutting is seriously affecting quality and i will never return

We bought Pizzas from here and they were rubbish. Hardly any taste to the pizza and very expensive. Not only that but weren’t made upon arrival and were delays ! 4 Large Pizzas for £95!!! Ridiculous!

Good pizza for a chain and pleasantly surprised when the amount charged was about ten quid cheaper than I thought from the menu. Take out only, so can't comment on 'atmosphere'.

Took my order via online at 10:20 (store closes at 11) when I got there at 10:30 sorry we’re closed. Took my money and no pizza shocking customer service

Good food but they hire terrible staff. I rang 'please can I make a order for delivery ' ' yeahh ' he replies then slams the phone down. 30 minutes of continous ringing since and no answer. They have got my oder wrong before giving me Ben and jerries dairy instead of non dairy to which they said they don't do refunds and as I can't physically eat dairy I had to throw it away. They get confused and the orders wrong when repeating back and the delivery time is very long considering I live down the road.

I ordered thin mediums and have mentioned to be well cooked. They assured it will be well cooked but when the pizzas arrived it was not well cooked. When I called them to inform that you missed to well cook them, they said thin mediums cannot be over cooked. This should have been conveyed when the order was placed. They also mentioned that the owner has now changed and they work as per their way. I believe it should however not affect the quality. But I was not at all satisfied with the pizzas this time.

I made an online order back in February and the money was taken out of my account. When I reached the store, it was closed before the closing time. I was promised the money would come into my account in 10days which it did not. Everytime I asked the same thing was said and then excuses made that the delay was because of new owners. A couple weeks ago they said I could order the same order again and it wouldn't be charged. When I went to do this they claimed the money had come back into my account which it hasn't and then changed the story that I'd already claimed the order. Completely ridiculous that something as simple as issuing refund takes this long

The pizzas are expensive but they tasted delicious though.

Very disappointed...pizza was very very expensive and therefore overpriced for what we received , toppings were sparse and the crust was too big , and it arrived cold.. felt like it was a complete waste of good money..will not use them again ! I would rather go hungry. than give this place my business! In future !!

After trying Pizza Hut (by mistake) I came back to here, I should have stayed here. The dough is just the best tasting of all pizza chains. The Bee Sting is a fab pizza. The chilly cheese bites are lovely I could just eat 3 portions of those on their own! Lovely food, lots of deals which leave a decent price for your food. Quick delivery.

Everywhere it was offer buy one get one free, i ordered a large one i was waiting for more than an hour and surprise, i received just one! Disgusted!

Bought a pizza over a year ago and it was terrible and I ordered it today thinking they must have improved but it was much more terrible then last time - it was really chewy and no taste and fake cheese and dough and topping - didn't taste like pizza at all - really very unhappy actually disappointed - should have got American Pizza or Pizza Hut instead

Pizze varie abbastanza buone! Non quella con l'ananas o il mais 😅, perché non l'ho provate! Ma margherita, o con funghi deliziosa rispetto a molti altri! 5 stelle per l'igiene e la cordialità del personale.

Used to be good, but lately have been put off. The last two times we have ordered, food has been horrible. Hair in pizza, burnt cookie and attitude from staff when calling to rectify. I wouldn't order again

Was realy loking foward with the family having selection of sides and pizza..aftr hearing abut how fantastic tasty the pizza is but honestly speaking its probly worse pizza me and the family tasted got was completely tasteless the side orders tasted cheap nasty i wish i stuck to zagros on green lane rd whos pizzas are fresh tasting full of flavour and soo much cheaper .

I have ordered pizza from here on a drive out of leicester. it is conveniently just before the long stretch on a47 and you can order the pizza and eat whilst driving back to peterborough or other places. my only gripe with this place is that it is just 'standard'. there is nothing that screams out 'wow'. however if you want a decent pizza at a above decent price and all you care about is consistency this place is a safe bet.

Well done Papa John's! I'm very impressed with their vegan and gluten free pizza, it was actually tasty. I'm not so fond of vegan cheese, but combined with the veggies and tomato gravy, it was quite good. This is probably the best gluten free base I've had when eating out.

I am a regular costume and I, up until now, had a problem tonight for some reason the order went thro as a collection something I never do. I rang after the order was longer than 30 mins and was told it was on its way. Nothing was mentioned that the order has been done for collection. Waited another 30 mins and then to be told it was for collection as it was same member of staff I asked why did u lie to me 30 mins ago after a discussion heated I must say, she said the manager was going to now deliver my pizza. You’d now thing that wud be the end of it but no 2 mins later I had a phone call from the same person telling me as I hadn’t picked up my order it had been cancelled but payment would be returned to my account with 7 days. As a customer who orders a few times a month some months once or twice a week if have parties good customer i’d say. Well I told them what they could do with their pizza if the expected me to pay for a pizza that was now 1 hour & 30 minutes late and let’s just say I will be now using perfect pizza or Dominoes as if the take so long to sort out a problem you get your pizza free or a free bottle of soft drink. And God help them if my money doesn’t get refunded they lost a very loyal customer today angry doesn’t even cut

I used to hate papa johns pizza as dough used to be tasteless and rubbish but recently tried again as only place that offer vegan options and partner trying not to eat dairy, i had normal cheese pizza and the dough has definitely improved was actually really nice. Not a fan of the garlic dip get with pizza though. Chicken poppers really nice aswell although sour cream and chice dip was disappointing.

Ordered some pizzas for kids and number of extra dips. Over hour later cold pizza arrived with not a single dip. Rang to notify, was only told "sorry" and tried take me off the phone. I was demanding some solutions and person on the phone kept asking someone else what to tell me. Finally was promised missing dips in few minutes. Few minutes turned into almost an hour. 50 minutes later driver arrived with ice cold dips and still not complete quantiti. I rang again for solution to this. I had now cold rubber pizza, cold dips with some still being missing. Rang back and the same person didnt know how to resolve it and when pressure got to him he put phone down while I was still talking. I rang back and unpleasant conversations started. Person adviced me to reheat everything. Problem is I have no microwave or oven to do so. I was offered another pizza when my kids already gone sleep hungry. Received nothing from them to compensate this mess.

do not waste your money here! Pizza is very blend! Also if you ever decide to order pizza with crispy bacon Just know it will come on top of the sauce in between the cheese 🧐in that case it’s soggy bacon 🥓

Well I am a lover of papa john but after ordering a chicken bbq pizza only to find out its pork chicken bbq pizza is just a let down. Three hungry kids and a pizza in the bin. Call papa john and there didnt want to hear about it.

Not really a pizza fan bit kids liked it

The pizza we ordered were wonderful. When we ordered it was a Friday so we thought it would take longer then we expected but surprisingly it arrived much quicker than expected. The pizzas were hot and still smoking. You could tell they have used fresh ingredients and overall i would recommed that you order your pizza from papa johns they beat competitors that are around that area.

Ordered for delivery, for the first time - We thought these pizzas would come cold as it was freezing outside - however the pizzas came piping hot and came sooner than we expected! The taste was absoulutley mouth watering, delicious and definitely hit the spot. It was so addictive that we just couldnt stop after 1 slice, we just kept going and finished an XXL. To top off this off we even got 33% off the order and this simply beats everyone in the area. The difference between any other major Pizza place is that Papa John's uses FRESH ingredients and trust me you can tell. Ordered at 7:35pm and arrived by 8:05 and it was Saturday!!!! We're so happy with the food, highly recommend A++++++++++++++
