I have been a loyal customer of this place for a long time, and it used to be excellent in every aspect. However, over the past couple of months, everything has gone downhill. Delivery times are now ridiculously long, often taking over an hour and a half. The pizza quality has significantly declined, and, most importantly, the customer service has become absolutely terrible. On top of that, the hygiene is very poor when the food is delivered. My dip was completely popped out and messy, making it almost inedible. I won’t be ordering from here again and would strongly advise others to avoid this place as well.

Terrible customer service told me that I could get delivery then put the phone down on me I called back manager was on the phone basically shouting at me because I was telling him I wasn’t happy and just wanted food delivering very disappointed wouldn’t advise you to get food here

I live close by always been a customer their for years the pizzas are great and affordable my kids love them plus the service is fast and friendly recently they closed down for a while due to situations out of their control where people was coming drunk from town and causing trouble late at night the staff are their to offer a service and earn money for their family's and shouldn't have to suffer this however it is back open again I order online and collect in store always good 😀

Sent me the wrong order all together

Have been waiting over an hour and a half for 2 burritos and still hasn’t come never order from here unless you want to waste your time or you unless you like cold stale food!

The delivery was 50 mins late. Then the driver finally called me and started saying 'do you want the food or not otherwise I'm just going to leave'. He was shouting at me didn't once apologise about how late the food was. When I got upset at his behaviour he started shouting at me then saying 'he wasn't going to give me my food'. Then he called back and said 'do you want your food or what' (exact words). When I went outside to get my food he still was refusing to give me my food that I had already paid for and that was 50 mins over the latest delivery time given. He kept shouting 'you should have called the restaurant its nothing to do with me'. I called them about 15 times on 3 different numbers which I had to search for and no one was answering. It was the right number because I has called earlier to ask for extra chilli sauce and they answered then. Which I explained. Then again instead of saying sorry your order was so late he kept holding my food hostage saying 'do you want it or not'. Even though I had told him 'I did' he kept it hostage still. He was refusing to give me the food that I had already paid for, shouting at me and in all of this never once acknowledged let alone apologised for how late the delivery was. I will admit it did get to a point where I swore at him but trust me this PRICK deserves much worse. Then on top of all of this at the end (after I finally got my food) he told me it's his bloody restaurant and he can do whatever he likes. On top of all of this the food was literally awful and cold. It was like eating rubber.

Ordered food and it never came. Tried to call the restaurant to chase up my refund and they never pick up. Went to restaurant to try speak to the manager and he was very rude and l accused me of lying saying that my food got delivered. Like why would l make that up when l have proof of no calls coming from the delivery man.

Food was never delivered, they claim I was unresponsive when they got to my address meanwhile I was up waiting for the food for the whole time and they did not ring any bell or call my phone line like all delivery drivers usually do, and they claimed they delivered it 4hrs after the order which in itself is wrong. I'm still waiting for a refund, they are a private restaurant with private drivers so Deliveroo claims they can't process refunds either, you have to try and contact the restaurant and nobody picks up the phone at the restaurant. I have accepted that I will never get my money.

Okay I've waited nearly 2 months before admitting defeat and realising I'm never gonna get my £4 back. They missed a burger off my order so I emailed them. No response. Sent a couple more follow-ups, nothing. Okay fine, I'll call. So I rang them about a week later. Nice chap on the phone says they'll give me extra next time or a voucher. I say no, I just want it refunded to my card. He says fine, he will personally handle it. That was a month ago. DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THEIR OWN WEBSITE. They cannot be trusted to make up for their mistakes, and think they can just not send something I've PAID FOR and it's fine?! If you order from here because they're the only place open, use Just Eat so they can refund you if anything's wrong. Also, the drivers are always rude and don't ring/call just dump your stuff on the doorstep. Used them 5+ years never had a good driver. Anyway hope the £4 was worth it.

They are very nice and food Is decent... But they schould change that menu on the Wall , i can't stand to pizza "margarita" or pizza "PROSCUITTO" c'mon, u ran a business, if u try to use italians Word to look Cool, at least spell them correctly , It Is "MARGHERITA " and "PROSCIUTTO"

Disgusting service. Received my pizza 30 minutes late after calling 3 times. The owner was HORRIBLY RUDE on the phone. Have never been spoken to in that way, let alone by a restaurant manager/owner. Actually shocked at the service. Not to mention the pizza itself was disgusting and dry. Highly do NOT recommend.

Ordered food delivery was late and burger was missing fries. I also ordered Deep pan pizzas and got thin crust, called the shop to rectify the mistake and person on the phone said " are deep pan" and hung up. Terrible experience.

1st & last time ordering from here, I ticked no to every choice for the sauces which to me would obviously mean NO Mayonnaise yet all 3 of our burgers had Mayonnaise on them !! Took them straight back inside & told him the orders were not supposed to have mayo on as we have allergies and he replied " so you don't want the Mayonnaise "? Errm that's correct we don't or I'd of said yes on the online order form. We then had to sit in my car & wait for our order to be cooked again. He came to the car with the food and apologised which was a point to him so that can be his 1 star but we won't use this popeyes again. I'm just glad I make my daughter's check their food before eating it or the result could of been very bad. Note to Popeyes( Be more careful checking people's orders or you could kill someone) it's not just you, believe me so many takeaways and big fast food restaurants ' McDonalds/KFC etc' don't take the couple of seconds to check or listen properly to customers and that ends up with annoyed customers and wasted food.

The man serving and making the pizza had a very rude attitude. He continuously got the order for me and my daughters wrong- wrong topping wrong base. I would not recommend as my daughter had an allergic reaction to the base that I specifically told the man not to use. Tried to gaslight me telling me that I asked for the order when in fact he did get it wrong. Please do not order from this place if you value your health and sanity. And the manager of that place seriously needs to be reviewed very rude man.

Order from here 28/10,we were staying at the holiday inn.... Driver rang said he was outside with our pizza... Was nowhere to be found,on either side of the hotel receptions. Rang him back and he said he was in a silver Micra ... Uber said a white bmw ... Checked again no one there so two hotel receptionists came outside to help look for him. Saw a silver Micra with a man inside...asked if he was our delivery,he said no so rang the driver back again and saw this guy pick up the phone,so did the staff...went back over to the car to explain I'd just spoke to him on the phone,he told me to go *uck my mother and proceeded to drive off. Rang the restaurant who confirmed it was our driver, explained to them what he'd said and done,they said theyd speak to him and get our order back out asap... 5minutes later my order was cancelled. Shocking and appalling behavior by the driver. Don't recommend and now I've just seen the reviews on here I'm glad we didn't get it.

Absolute joke. Food never turned up, they kept lying to me, saying that it was on its way. I waited over 3 hours. Wish I'd read the other reviews before ordering, scam artists. Update: They took my money and gave me a £3 discount instead of refunding the whole amount... thieves.

food was abysmal , ordered cheesy chips regular chips came also ordered garlic bread and chicken. Chicken was undercooked and the garlic bread looked cremated

Absolutely vile. Coleslaw was pure liquid and smelt gone off, the pizza was massively undercooked and just tasted of dough and the cheesey chips had a solid block of rubbery substance stuck to the top.... NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Decent triple cheese burger, cheesy fries were stuck to the bottom of the box and the onion rings were awful, at least the food was warm though

Great food quick and helpful staff

My order arrived on time, however the bottle of cola I ordered wasn't. After several attempts to contact Popeye's via phone, online and even the driver to see if he'd just left it in the car by accident I have had no luck getting through to anyone. The shops number will just ring until the message they're unavailable to take the call sounds and disconnects the call, online cannot do anything about orders so I've wasted a couple of quid at least now trying to sort this. Disappointed.

I know this place probably doesn't have the best opinion and they have only 3/5 hygiene rating which is concerning, but my experience there was better than I expected and the food was very tasty. Also they were the only place in town open this late on a weekday, so that's another reason to go there.

Ordered food, said it would get here at 9pm. called them at 9:30pm and they didnt know where the driver was or what I had order to the address. They called me back and said they had called a few times (no calls at all), they said they left the food on the door step and there was nothing there as I had been checking regularly. DO NOT ORDER from this place because theyll just not bring the food and tell you to contact just eat. absolute joke

Don't try Poor customer service & hygiene. I found a hair in my food, when I called back to complain I was told because two people working there were bald I was lying and refused a refund. I wouldn't have really cared too much and would've have been fine with a refund, but as a customer being told you're lying is disrespectful and very unprofessional. The first and last time I'm ordering from here, I'd advise you not to even try it.

Delivery time was a long time, but the food was worth the wait. Generous portion size, good customer service when I phoned up to ask where the delivery was. I recommend the chocolate pudding! Thanks!

Delivery times are so unreliable

Ordered from Popeyes by phone, asked if we could pay by card. Later had the delivery person turn up and said they only accept cash. Had no change. Called the Popeyes place, asked on why they said to my partner that they could pay for the delivery by card, but never got asked for card details nor told to order via JustEat. Unprofessional service. Got told that my phone number would be blocked and that I was wasting their time. I would suggest you just order from them via JustEat as that is the closest to professional service as you can get. Never again will I order with them on such a late night. Unprofessional and rude.

Poor phone customer service ! Rude and disrespected! I was ordering 2 portion peri peri chicken and when the food is coming it’s BURNS and the taste is BITTER !! Can you imaging how terrible it is!! I was call them back and ask for swap but they said it too far to deliver?? And suddenly said they run out of the chicken? It just 23:45??they also said (that’s how we sell it to customers ) And just hand up my phone? I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER THIS RUBBISH SHOP AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good food open till 5.30am 7 days a week.

The food here is very nice, often ordered on just eat. Only thing is it’s unsettling when it doesn’t have the proper ‘halal’ certificate in the shop.

I placed an order for 2x cheesy chips the chips barely had cheese and it wasn’t even stringy cheese it was like lard, 1x quarter pounder beef burger very stingy with the mayo and 8 piece chicken strips. They did not deliver the chicken strips I called up at 2:30 and was told chicken will be on the way soon, come to 3am I called back up and they had then said the driver has just left, chicken arrives cold ! (** the chips tasted like they were microwaved**) No Covid protection wasn’t worn by both drivers!!! Very disappointed waste of money! The shops rate is 3! Should be above 4+

This is the worst takeaway in England. Hands down. Not because the food is bad... It's because the food doesn't turn up. I was waiting FOUR hours for my delivery once before I cancelled it at 2am on a Wednesday! and two and a half another time, 2 hours another and an hour and a half my first time. I can't explain how difficult it was to try and communicate with these people. The staff is so aggressive and nasty to the point I was scared! I had a man shouting at me down the phone, telling me to shut up for asking where the food was and I was being calm even though it was two hours gone waiting without it. I will never be ordering from this hell hole again.

Awful experience! I ordered the food at 3:30am and it’s 6:30am and still not received order. I could of Walked there by the time my delivery’s came (4miles). the geeza on the phone spoke as much English as a hamster, he has said 3 times orders coming soon but no sign. Will not be using again would rather fly to Venice and Make my own pizza. DONT CARE

Extremely poor service and rude staff. Pizzas took over 90 minutes to arrive. Driver couldn't locate one of the most known streets in the city centre. 2 pizzas, 2 portions of chips and garlic bread all arrived stone cold. When I called I wasn't even offered an apology. The response from the owners was 'what do you want me to do about it?' The only resolve offered was the delivery of a single pizza in another hour. I explained that I had already waited 90 minutes and I wouldn't want to wait another hour to eat. The response to this was 'you ordered from deliveroo so take it up with them'. At no point was I rude so the attitude was completely unnecessary.

Great fast service and the food was lush, it only took 20 minutes from order to door normally I have to wait yonks. Will be ordering from them again soon. Thanks

Ordered from here Saturday 23 march 2019 a home alone pizza meal deal and a buger My order was over half an hour late the food was cold and the burger was missing the delivery drive was rude and unprofessional instead of bringing my order to the door he called me from his and told me to come out and get it him such an arsewhole and very rude so I have learnt my lesson and will never order from here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone and to top all that I just read an article online saying this branch of popeyes welford road Leicester received a zero rating for hygiene. Take my advice AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Quality customer service is extremely bad

Very convienent fast food outlet. The pizza taste good and the burgers are standard. I recommend the spicey americano and the tandoori chicken pizza.

I love ordering from here it's always been early and the bacon cheese burger is amazing. I normally order on just eat and every time I have ordered I have never had any faults with the food or delivery I would deffo recommend ordering from here

I went to order food late at night and the customer service from the workers was appalling I’d never eat here again and would not recommend this place at all. My food had taken very long as well other customers orders had been done and I was still waiting for a long time. One of the workers in particular has got a very bad attitude and should not be working there his work ethic is disgusting. I would not even rate it one star!

We ordered at 1.36am. 3am came around and no food! We rang the company and they said they had tried to ring us, and came to the front door and no one answered. Well, we were sat at home waiting for our food to arrive, waiting for a call and NOTHING. At 3am we rang and asked where our food was and they said they had tried to deliver and would send a fresh order in 30mins to apologise for inconvenience. This was at about 3am. 3.30am came around and still no food. 3.40am the delivery guy rang my phone number to say he was outside and showed up and we said we would only pay £20 for the late delivery/rude staff/disgusting service so they took the food away and left. We live in a bugalow with a cul-de-sac so we see all cars coming and going and never once did we see a car attempt to make a delivery earlier on in the evening. Also, they claimed to have rang my number when they attempted to make the initial delivery and no one answered, yet when they made a phone call the second time around to say they were on the way/had arrived, they had no problem connecting the call and to tell us the delivery had arrived. NEVER USE THEM. They will steal your money and not deliver your food and claim it was "your fault".

I ordered a Donner Kebab pizza and waited an hour for it to be delivered. It came cold and the meat tasted OFF!!!! Wouldn't recommend anyone buying from here.
