Not good wife had fish and chips yesterday lunch! £9.50 for greasy chips also crinkled cut which is odd. But fish where was it buried under chips - small and greasey and tasteless

Fantastic, traditional northern fish and chips. They only do fish and chips, nothing else. Chips are small and crunchy but also soft. Brilliant, classic institution.

£8.10 for fish & chips a joke .The chips was greasy and floppy the fish was the smallest I have had .Never go there again.

Easily the best Fish and Chip Shop in Leicester. Many claim to be but I recommend you give Trev's Chippy a try and then compare. Trev's is in a different league. Boneless and skinless cod and the best chips you will have ever tasted. Totally unspoilt by progress and still has a wind up till!

4-8 Granby StreetThis is usually my go to dessert place when we go out as a friend group and we usually have some ice cream for take out ! Today we decided to eat in but since we had a full meal before only two of us (we were 4) wanted dessert so we ordered waffles with ice cream for them to share . When my friend went to order the man who was taking the order asked if that will be all and when she said yes he said are you all sharing she said yes and he said this is not allowed u need to at least order 2 items because this is a restaurant ! And he proceeded to waffle about the place being a restaurant and how we need to take away if we only ordering one item ? And when we tried to explain that we are both full and that the table will be used either way he said I am not arguing further so we left … a stupid rule that has now meant I am no longer stepping a foot in this restaurant and will be telling everyone I know to avoid the place ! Zero communication skills and horrible customer service don’t waste your money here as there are many other small businesses that would appreciate their customers more . Forcing people to order more food just for you to make money is not okay !

28 Main St, Evington, Leicester LE5 6DN, United KingdomOrdered fish chips with chicken pie and sausage, paid £25 got home and no sausage I think the chips were boiled in fat and not fried so needed kitchen roll and weren’t cooked so after that went in the oven…. Oh pie microwaved so also in the oven, go to the Chinese or cedars next time, or maybe the park. I think a dead hedgehog and grass would be better
