Will never order from here again, waste of time, sent meat order when we ordered vegetarian,made us wait 90 mins for a replacement, whole replacement order was wrong everything contained meat and it was nothing that we ordered, completely wrong. Had to get a refund as they couldn’t get simple order right, offered no complimentary free pizza next time or anything for all the messing around. Will never go there again and i hope they are one of the pappa johns that are shutting down.

Went in the shop to order a pizza, the staff had an appalling command of the English language, managed to eventually get it through to the girl what I wanted only to be told they couldn't take cash payment...its like everything to do with the business is not understood by the staff in the slightest!

I will say we always enjoyed the pizza from this place, however, the latest order we made will likely be our last, whilst eating my girlfriend noticed a spider had been cooked into the pizza, safe to say we didn’t continue to eating, tried to call the store several times over a 3 hour period, when they finally answered we where asked why we didn’t tell them sooner, store wasn’t any help so we went online to report it and it took two weeks for them to agree to give us a refund. I understand that sometimes these things can happen but the service we received when trying to deal with the issue was a bigger put off than the actual issue.

I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering. Ordered 2 pizzas tonight and found them quite tasteless. Ordered the Philly steak and it was basically a cheese pizza with about 4 pieces of steak on. Several pieces had no steak at all. First time trying Pappa John’s and sadly think it will be the last.

After waiting an hour they got the order completely wrong, said they would give a refund. Had to chase multiple times, 2 weeks later and still nothing. So annoying as the pizza is good just bad management

I wont be ordering from here again, took 30 mins to order as a walk-in because they dont know what they are doing, gave me a small pizza instead of medium argued it was because id gone for a thin base. Awful franchise letting pappa johns down,no wonder reviews are so average. Food is nice but they get my order wrong everytime! Customer service is awful.

Love it here. I feel bad for getting delivery because I live quite the distance from Allerton but the Prescot store doesn't deliver to me even though its closer. Allerton Road store always delivers the food hot and it's always right. Can't fault them ever keep it up guys.

Been ordering from this place for months, usually it's really good, no problems. Tonight I found a hair in my pizza. Not the best experience-

Waited over an hour to receive 2 pizzas, one was burnt and the other had mushrooms on that had clearly gone off and smelt like fish (vegan pizza). We called and asked for a refund or replacement only for someone with no customer service skills to hang up on us mid conversation, then called back and were told no management were in store but we would get a call back within an hour. Had to call back ourselves and spoke to a manager who claimed he can only half refund. Not worth the hassle having to spend hours trying to get money back for an inedible pizza, won't be ordering from papa johns again.

Delivered a cold pizza. When I called he wouldn’t accept that it was cold. Said he would deliver another and collect the cold ones Waited for an hour. Still have 2 cold pizzas and no replacement. Absolutely shocking

I have ordered two pizzas both missing key ingredients, the crust was 4 inches imagine half of the pizza was crust, I have had ordered lot of Pizzas from the same place over the years lately I have had issues with evry order and I have convinced my self that it's going to get better and I have nerve complaint, as the staff are pleasant enough when I pick up my orders, so this time i decided to complain and the girl on the phone was very polite and offered 50% on my next order, when my wife opened the second pizza was exactly the same with the same mistakes, so I decided to let them know as a feedback only, I was passed to the manager who was unhappy with my complaint and very rude and aggressive and literally asked me to return the pizzas so I did, when I went to the shop the guy was delusion first accusing me that I am a serial complainer despite that was my first time ever complaining about food anywhere in the world and secondly refuses to refund the money and called the police, and then mentioned to the police that they give the police a discount as if that would work and actually worked for him🤔it was unbelievable!!!!!! So irresponsible he was agitated telling lies and so on, that's a pizza from papa in Alerton can spoil your night

Don't waste your money. Ordered Pizzas took 1 hour and 46 minutes to arrive. Pizza was soggy, barely warm, and they didn't pick up any of my calls to ask what had happened to my order.

TLDR: DO NOT use this branch. Terrible service, late delivery, cold stale food. We waited 90 minutes for a pizza and two sides. It was a Saturday night, I know Saturdays are hectic but 90 mins is unacceptable. After waiting 40 mins we called them for an update and got a pretty unapologetic brush-off about them being short-staffed. The person who answered said that the food was ready and they’d get it to us as soon as they could. Again I completely understand being short staffed, it happens, but customers shouldn’t have to pick up the slack for poor management. Also, the other negative reviews here singling out their customer service are all correct - zero customer service skills here. After about 65 mins I rang to just cancel the order but got another vague answer about the food just having left for delivery and it would be with us shortly. Another 25 mins later and the food finally arrives, stone cold, congealed cheese, clearly has been sitting for too long in the shop and in the car. When I called to complain they didn’t answer the phone. When I called again they picked up and put the phone down. Rude, unprofessional B.S. Never ordering from here again.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. We ordered a large family feast order. Waited over an hour only to get a phone call telling us the ovens had broken! We'd paid online in full and still have not received our REFUND!! Called the shop and was told the manager isn't in to issue the refund but will call back. Guess what... No Call or Refund. Absolutely disgusting service and am currently complaining to their head office. We went to the best chippy Anna Jungs instead

RUDE, I placed an order on New year's Eve I respect that is a busy time period although what I did not expect was the lack of customer service skills in the shop. The person I spoke to on the phone was nothing but rude. When I placed my order I clicked delivery on the website after payment I quickly realised that the website did not ask for my address (website error) upon realising this I immediately rang the shop and explained the situation to them. I was told that I had to come to them because they are very busy and do not have time to come to me and then was hung up on. After being hung up on I rang back and explained that I have covid-19 and cannot leave the house as I am in isolation and even if I wasn't I do not drive so I couldn't get to shop anyway, I apologise for the inconvenience. The person on the phone hung up again. This is now the third time I'm ringing I apologised for bothering them for a third time although I needed to know if I was getting my order because if not I would like a full refund the person on the phone was extremely rude and said no and I said what do you mean no and they said refund 5-days and once again hung up.

I was charged for my order for delivery, it never arrived and when I tried to contact the store the number had been disconnected. I've been disappointed so often by this store for the poor speed of the delivery, the cold food, the shocking service and the abrupt manner of their customer services. Avoid.

Fabulous all round. Always had speedy delivery, and we order regularly... Tonight had to be a record though! Well under 20 mins from doing our online order and the pizzas being passed through our door 🤩 The staff in store and delivery drivers have always been professional and friendly. They have great offers all the time so you get a lot of pizza for your money. And they have the cheesy meat feast for my partner and plant based for me. We have never been disappointed. Would recommend :-)

Placed an order on Uber and they robbed me said they deliverd food but never showed up (its non tracked as they use own driver) uber ownt refund because yous say yous deliverd.. Yous never pick up the phone and have robbed my money!! I will be contacting police as theft if I don't get my money back you scummy people

I am disgusted at pappa Johns. I ordered a pizza at 10.30. The pizza tracker is totally useless it says that your pizza is on it's way and then that you've got it when tou haven't making it completely irrelevant. My pizza never came and the store was closed. I phoned the following day and spoke to the most rude horrible man it was actually disgusting. He shouted and spoke over me stating it was my fault that the delivery driver could not find my flat (they've found it successfully on every other occasion it's a straightforward address). He stated I hadn't put which number on. I looked back at my details the number flat was clearly stated. I stated this to him and asked for a refund. He literally shouted over me and hung up on me. I have never experienced such rude unprofessional behaviour absolutely disgusting. Will never be returning.

Easily the worst pizza place ever. Please read other reviews before ordering from here. They make out on the tracker that its been delivered when it hasn't, you then have to phone and speak to some kid pretending to be a manager saying its on its way then it turns up about an hour later than its supposed to, cold. The immigrant driver through broken English says complain to manager if you not happy. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE EVEN IF YOU GET A 100% DISCOUNT.

Really poor service. We ordered from Domino's at the same time because the kids prefer it and it arrived half an hour before! They put on the tracker that it's been delivered when it hasn't I'm sure just to show they've hit targets when they haven't. Not ordering from here again.

Never use this restaurant. I ordered and once it got to over 30 minutes late I thought I'd check what was happening. Eventually managed to get through to them and spoke to someone called Michael. He was very rude and and basically called me a liar that the order hadn't been delivered. Apparently the driver knocked on a front door of a house but got no answer. Funny I live in a flat with an intercom. When he asked for the order to be cancelled he he then reported to justeat that it had been delivered. Terrible service from this restaurant.

I like the pizzas from here but they always send that God awful special garlic sauce. I always call them and ask them to send pizza sauce instead. They always promise to and never do. It’s not a big ask. They ALWAYS get it wrong. Don’t bother with asking for anything with this store as they just ignore you.

Used to be our favourite for pizza, never had any problems at all. However recently the pizzas have been very dry, nowhere near enough tomato sauce on in my opinion, and no option to add more. Last time we ordered we had the same problem, the pizzas were dry and not very hot. We also ordered extra pizza sauce which was cold. We contacted the store to explain and was told by the manager that they would not redo the order as it was not an incorrect order. We tried to explain that we felt it was because we were not satisfied with it, but the manager still refused. To me the customer is always right and if the customer is not happy then a replacement or refund should be offered. This is appalling customer service.

The driver could not find my address. Food arrived cold. The store would not send me a replacement. I have to wait 7 days for a refund. I will not order from this store again.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Worst experience ever. I was brought the wrong pizza, then forgotten about. Then TWO HOURS LATER my order arrived without the drink and sides I ordered. My flatmate’s pizza was forgotten, and she had to go through a frustrating and cyclical phone call to remind them we even existed. The staff were little help. Worst pizza company. I will never order from Papa John’s again! Go to Pizza Hut and enjoy their polite staff, speedy delivery and easy service.

We ordered 2 pizzas, 2 chicken sides and a bottle of drink on a deal. One of the pizzas was a “create your own”, so pretty specific. I’d ordered double anchovies. No anchovies at all. One of the chicken sides was not what we ordered and the drink wasn’t what we ordered either. A phone call would have been nice to ask if we had a preference of substitutes if something wasn’t available. I did feel that ordering was a bit of a waste of time. It was more of a lucky dip to see what they felt like delivering. Very disappointing customer service.

Not happy at all. This has happened the last 2 times I have ordered and created my own pizza along with other items. The other items came but not the pizza I created. It showed up in the Basket but when I received my order on the receipt no create pizza. I phoned last time and was told must be a problem and had to reorder the pizza. Ive had a lot of Papa Johns in my life. And i mean A LOT. Ive been ordering the same pizza for the past 3 years (The greek) and recently both the consistency and quality in this branch is going down the drain. You might get a great one, you might get a horrible one, but in this branch (and i also tried many) for the last 4 times it’s been rather awful: first way too much sauce, then not enough cheese, then you can have one that’s actually pretty good, but on your next you’re going to get a pizza with wrong toppings that hasn’t been in the oven for long enough. Lovely drivers and delivery staff. Please, please sort out your consistency!!

Food gorgeous... But the staff absolutely appalling... Recently just ordered like I normally do... And they missed out a pepsi that i ordered call up to inform them didnt mind if the resolution would be a refund or got pepsi late instead I got laughed at down the phone hung up on. I could understand that English wasn't their first language.. Then call back again but the ignore my calls. At 1st I thought got wrong number because they didn't greet themselves as Papa Johns. Called again and added 1471 to it... They answer it.. Guy mumble you missed a pepsi and I yes.. The kept saying hold on a minute... Then talk to someone (another guy, just laughing saying no, no) ... Repeated my postcode three times and he would repeat it back to me then hung up... Call again but no response... I don't think the staff should be working,there sounded like some unprofessional, uneducated men. The two I heard needed the sack.... So no pepsi, no refund... So I been robbed... Xx

Great Pizza small size is more than enough. Chose Magaritta with Anchovy black olives and chopped red onion. Really lovely.

Fiquem atentos, pois o caixa/vendedor queria me cobrar a mais( sendo que o valor do meu pedido estava estampado no folder na frente dele). A maquina de cartões deles nao aceitou meu cartão, tive que ir sacar dinheiro a noite e debaixo de chuva. Depois paguei em dinheiro o valor do pedido e ele não me devolveu o troco. Fingiu que estava certo. Obs: A higiene é o ponto forte, ele atende os clientes no cx, recebe dinheiro e depois vao abrir as pizzas e colocar os ingredientes com a mesma mão e depois volta pata o caixa. Isto foi o que eu vi em poucos minutos....primeira e ultima vez que entro em lugar com este. Fiquem atentos...

Ordered two pizzas at 18:30. After an hour I rang the store to check my order had gone through properly (as usually when ordering from this store it comes within an hour) and was told ‘it’s on it’s way’ and then hung up on without even checking my order number or my address. This happened a further four times and every time I rang after this I was simply hung up on straight away. My order never arrived but the money still came out my account and couldn’t even speak to staff at the store as they either didn’t answer or hung up on me. Never experienced such rude customer service as if they’d actually checked my order when I rang I’m sure it could’ve been sorted out! So disappointed, just hope I can get my money back from Papa Johns!

I'd give 0 out of 5 if i could. Every time I've ordered it's been deliverer unreasonably late, the order wasn't right or the pizza wasn't prepared with care (i. e. Missing sauce on half the pizza, missing toppings. Tonight i ordered a pizza and it arrived over 2. 5hrs late! I tried to call after not having any news about the delivery and it was starting to get late. I called 5 times, no answer, my friend also called, no answer. Everyone was starving so with no pizza in sight from pj i had to order a dominos. The dominos arrived after 20 min after i ordered it. Unfortunately since i prepaid papa johns I had no choice but to accept it. All i can say is the PJ whole experience was disappointing and unacceptable. :(

I ordered a pizza online 2hrs later it had not arrived. I called the store three times and repeatedly been told it is on its way. I was then told the delivery man arrived and didn’t get a repsonse so called my mobile. No such call was made and I have been near the door, nobody came to the house. I asked for a refund, Jo Romanie, who works there, states this will be refunded within a few days. No card or other details were taken. Sounded unprofessional and disinterested on the phone. This is unbelievably slow and unprofessional behaviour on the company’s part. I will not be using this service again. This is the second time this has happened in the space of a few months!! If you want to lose £30 odd quid through incompetence, go ahead and order from Papa Johns, if not, use dominos!

Pizza ordered around just before 11pm. It never arrived and stored closes at 12. Rang the next day but took 40 minutes of ringing before someone answered. Was told they had system problems but my money was still taken out. I asked for a refund but they said contact head office. Staff I spoke to were not even trying to sound helpful when I spoke to them.

Ordered just before 11pm and never got my order delivered. I rang the next day at 11 am but took me until 11:40 until I got someone picked up the phone. The manager didn't seem interested in helping and just said they contact head office with no help on how to do this. Rang later that day as was struggling with using the website. The same manager said they were too busy to help me and ended up putting the phone down on me. Even though they listened to me for at least five minutes on what my issue was. I tried ringing back but kept getting the phone put down on me. I did eventually get back through to have the manager kick off at me. I asked I only wanted some direction of what to do as I am useless using websites and is there a number I can ring. I ended up ringing another store who helped me in minutes and were very polite. Would avoid Allerton as it has gone down hill.

Called in to order s pizza. Three members of staff totally ignored me & I was the only customer there. One woman looked at me half a dozen times and never said a word, one male was preparing a pizza for delivery so I tried to give him my order, but he ignored me. The manager or the guy in charge was more content to argue with one of the delivery drivers. So I walked out and won't go back, the Best Ignorant staff I have ever witnessed.

Really disappointed. I've been getting food here for a long time. Brill pizza! Unfortunately I went in this week and was made to feel really uncomfortable because the staff who usually seem pretty chill were being incredibly inappropriate with the one female staff member. A short, chunky, young lad was staring at her chest and then speaking to his colleagues in a foreign language and they laughed at her. Ngl I feel bad that I even paid for my food there, I feel worse I didn't say anything. The girl looked really uncomfortable and I felt awful that she was having to work with a little lad who could use the language barrier to openly make jokes about her. She knew they were staring at her chest and laughing at her. It was mortifying. It was horrible to whitness and I really hope someone does something about it. I am boycotting this place and I am suggesting other people do the same.

The young girl was horrible with a vile attitude and the manager Sean was even worse disgraceful food. Ordered to be delivered ended up having too collect to be greater with disgusting attitudes and cold undercooked food inedible. How this business is going is beyond me a psychotic couple running it and idiotic minions in the back!! Avoid save your time, money and good energy will loose it all ordering here. Love Papa John's pizza generally, and have ordered them in different stores on different occasions. This store put way too much cheese (approx 3 times than usual) spoiling the overall taste of the pizza.

I had a bad experience when my order that I collected was wrong. Called the store and was really disappointed to be asked to return the pizzas myself after already getting home. Anyway, the next day, the manager Ellie, was really polite and apologetic and sorted the issue with a refund for 2 of the 3 pizzas. She did a good job in the end so am happy.

We used this pizza place regularly, it was opposite RLH...amazing...we would not use any other pizza shop.

La segunda pizza tenía exactamente los mismos ingredientes clave que faltaban y la masa, así que pensé que solo les daría una retroalimentación por el simple hecho de que la chica me pasara al gerente, ese gerente era un gerente del infierno, usted era odioso agitado, acusándome de quejarme en serie a pesar de que esa fue mi primera queja en cualquier tienda de comida, me pidieron que conservara la pizza y cuando lo hice dijo que al primer Peter le faltaban dos rebanadas y que estaba en un acuerdo por lo que está relacionado con es el segundo Peter, por lo que anuló. La chica ofreció el 50% y se negó a darme un reembolso, ya que se puede imaginar que para entonces la pizza estaba fría. Pasaron casi 2 horas después de que los miembros tuvieran en cuenta que estuve en la tienda casi una hora discutiendo. él, me niego a abandonar el local, así que llamamos a la policía y el drama se intensificó, a la llegada de la policía estaba muy agitado mientras hablaba con otro oficial de policía que estaba enfatizando al otro oficial de policía que la tienda ofrece el 50% a todos. oficinas ect yo estaba en dis Aunque la policía me dijo que es un asunto civil, debo presentar una queja ante la oficina central y no darles mi negocio. Aprecio los comentarios de la policía y me fui con mis pizzas congeladas. Me quejé a la oficina central que me respondieron dos semanas después para decir que están investigando el asunto y ofrecerme un reembolso completo.

Do not bother ordering especially if you are hungry. Food took 2 hours to arrive. When you ring the store it takes at least 7 times before they bother to answer, I imagine it is because they have a lot of unhappy customers ringing to see where their food is. When they eventually do answer they lie. Not worth the hassle. It shouldn't be this difficult to deliver a pizza. Next time we will order from Otto's!

Ordenado a través de solo comer para una entrega después de 2 horas, tan pronto como se confirmó, se confirmó como si fuera para 2. 5 horas, llamé para verificar dos veces cuándo debía esperar la pizza y me dijeron que la comida estaba lista y que el conductor estaba casi en camino. Se les preguntó si podían entregar la comida para cuando se ordenó, y dijeron que retrasaremos la entrega. Cumplieron su palabra y entregaron la pizza a tiempo en 2 horas cuando se ordenó. Sin embargo, creo que seguía siendo la misma pizza para cuando habían hecho ya que sabía tibia y gomosa.

Very disappoing service. Ordered pizza on saturday waited 2h during this time tried to call them but no answer whatsoever. Suddenly someone picked up saying thst delivery guy couldn't reach destination. well gates were open and obviously we live in 20th century so he could call. I've been told to call next day so i did. Next day ive been told thst my claim cannot be accepted as i ment to resolve it same day? someone there have no clue whats going on obviously. used to love them but after this situation would defo not recommended to anyone. cheers

En retrospectiva, me hubiera gustado que nunca tuve. . . Las dos pizzas de masa gruesa sólo eran los ingredientes eran cálido donde no existía. . . Probamos un trozo pero era como de goma. . . Llamé a la sucursal de Hammersmith y, oh mi dios, nos recibió un hombre extremadamente grosero y odioso que en verdad necesitaba someterse a una educación en servicio al cliente y cómo conversar con semejantes. . . Took 1.5 hours to come, rang them to see where my pizza was and they said it was out for delivery. Took another 30mins to come and its only an 8min drive so the person had obviously lied. Not ordering there again.

Pasaron otros 35 minutos y todavía no hay pizza. Después me dijeron el conductor estaba en su camino. La pizza llegó a 1 hora y 45 minutos de cuando pedí. Habíamos pedido salsas y estos fueron desaparecidos. Les llamé de nuevo y me dijo que enviaría la salsas en media hora! ! ! Me informaron al miembro del personal la pizza estaría fría en este punto. Dijo que sería reembolsado por el salsas (nunca fue). La pizza en realidad estaba bien pero por desgracia todo el proceso era pésima, y es algo que no se molesta en entrar en el futuro. Nos dieron una orden y me re recogerla en cambio, esta vez. Me dijeron que estaría lista en 15 minutos y cuando llegué no tenía ni siquiera comenzado a cocinarse. Pésimo servicio. Dar una oportunidad en una pizzería pizza increíble y smithdown rd. servicios.

order from papas every week religiously i cant believe what i'm seeing on these reviews i really cant fault them what so ever they have great customer service skills the same girl serves me every week and she cant do enough to help, food really is excellent as fresh as it comes.

Pedimos dos pizzas para la entrega. Llegaron tibios, y cuando abrí la caja de uno era totalmente encajonado (foto). Ambos tenían enormes costras - está bien para uno que estaba lleno, pero el otro era corteza sólo un anillo grueso de masa salada con un pequeño círculo interior para unos pocos ingredientes. Segunda experiencia consecutivas mal esta tienda - no te molestará de nuevo.

Papa John's over Domino's, everyday

Told to wait 5 minutes for pizza. 30 minutes later still waiting for pizza. Eventually arrived and pizza was fine enough, but wouldn't go to these guys again.

No customer service... After waiting more than 4hours to get our pizzas we were told this will be credited into our account. Today we tried to order the pizzas supposedly free of charge they promised us, but of course it is not possible! The person in charge is not a manager and cannot approve the credit. It is a joke, last time we couldn't use our credit because it had to be an exact repeat order but we were not enough people to eat it all. Now that we are, we should place our order another night when the manager will be working! Being lied to repetitively is not what I look for when ordering pizzas.. Placing an order on Dominos website tonight, surely won't take 4h to deliver our £50 order!!

Ordered at 10.30. Called 11. 30 told that the pizza was on the way. Pizza arrived 12.15 cold. Shame they couldn't have been honest and delivered a warm pizza. Pizza all crust and no filling.

Pedimos dos pizzas para mi cumpleaños. Hacer clic sin queso para la mía, pero ambos venían con queso. Llamó inmediatamente a preguntar si podríamos intercambiar sin queso o conseguir uno nuevo y me dijeron que tendría que venir a la tienda. Me dice mi cumpleaños su suponía que iba a ser un regalo y después dijeron que no puedo hacer nada. El sitio web y reales que unidos fuerte va a sustituir a la pizza si cualquier cosa equivocada. Debe ser una mentira Thst luego. Desperdicio de dinero. Me voy a pedir de nuevo.

Ordered at 22.40, supposed to arrive at 23.00, still no pizza by 23.55, bearing in mind that this was a Tuesday (hardly the busiest night of the week for takeaways, even allowing for the fact that they do have a Two for Tuesday deal running). When it did finally arrive the order was wrong and cold - sent garlic bread rather than garlic cheese sticks, potato wedges that we hadn't ordered and did not include the extra dips that we had paid for. By the time the delivery got to us the store was closed so I was unable to ring them up and complain! Have used this store off and on since 2003 but won't be ordering from here again.

Pizza took nearly two hours to come and staff were rude over the phone

Waited for an hour and a half for two cold tasteless pizzas. Don't bother waste if your time or money. Papa Johns need to really take a look at this branch and sort out their shop.
