Not enough sauce so quite dry, lacking flavours

Made my order chips &gravy staff weren't friendly .Given noticed gravy lumpy asked why she said onion gravy Don't like wasn't advertised as that .Rude said every chip shop does this said doesn't if known wudnt have had this as don't like it ? Asked for just a fresh portion of chips didn't want my money back . She wasn't happy never spoke looked very sharply at me . Eventually gave ma a fresh portion chips . Worse chip shop I've visited ever rude -unfriendly wasn't busy see why . Came out to the business next door who said she never goes as thier so rude there Obviously I won't return to be treated like this again .Rude -unhelpful and disrespect ..wouldn't recommend at all ?Save ur money and go elsewhere who appreciate your business and are happy to serve you .

Ordered one of the deals online for myself and my mum. We customised our pizza. Not long after I got a call from the store apologising as they had accidentally made the pizza without the customisations, he said they would re-make our pizza and asked if we wanted the incorrect order too! Very kind! We ended up with a feast. Both staff on the phone and delivery driver were very kind and apologetic, no need to say sorry, we got a freebie! Thank you Papa John’s Mansfield!

We looked for something quick and tasty to eat during our walk and we decided to try Papa Johns, despite mediocre reviews. We have ordered a small pizza with chicken, bacon, tomato and onion. After 10 minutes it was ready. Pizza was crusty, delicious and flavorful. Amount of ingredients on the top of it was satisfying as well. Very good value for money, we were happy with it.

Delivered over half an hour after email said it was delivered. Asked delivery driver to wait while we checked they were still warm but he walked off. Got in with out pizza and they were both cold. Won't be ordering again and advise others to stay away. Very disappointing is an understatement.

Cold pizza when arrived late and the delivery man was pig ignorant, Dough tasted strange and the pepperoni was all curled up burnt, Even my dog turned her nose, AVOID..

Around 50mins late from just eat saying it was on the way. Called the restaurant at the 40 mins mark to be told it was 5 mins away. Turns up 10 minutes later stone cold. Very poor for the price will not be returning

The pizza and cheese garlic pizza was very cold and paid for the special garlic sauce and didn’t even get it

Pizzas tasty when you get it, not too oily. Upset that they dont follow order, last time added extra chicken, got regular amount, this time added extra mushroom, SAD amount.

Cheese and bacon strips?... It's garlic bread with cheese and around 4 little pieces of bacon on. Disappointed to be honest, and the order was 45 minutes late even though I had included clear directions when placing the order. The driver didn't apologise, wasn't bothered that the order was 45 minutes late and had cost just over £30. First time ordering... Will be the last.

From notification for delivery to actually receiving was over 20 minutes.. Pizza arrived at room temperature ( and that's being generous) Very bland and tasteless 😞

I wish i could give no stars and would advise everyone to avoid this horrible store and their rude, unprofessional staff who have no idea! Ordered a pizza and some sides, only for the wrong order to be delivered and they thought this was fine and we had to call to get our order redelivered. People order what they can eat! Why would you deliver the wrong order?! Just go back to store get and get the right order don't try and deliver the wrong one thinking all is okay?! The pizza we ordered was vegan due to my dietary requirements and the other order we received was not vegan so me and a few family members couldn't eat. Was told by the store that our original order would be sent 30 minutes later. So 2 hours after we'd ordered, our right pizza arrived, cold and was missing the sides we ordered. Only to be told by the shop that we received everything when we haven't! Wanted to make a complaint and for a refund and the manager SI was very rude and said they couldn't do that! Offering us to let him know the next time we order and we can have free food or they can send the rest of our order out in 10 minutes, safe to say we will never order here again so offering us free food or whatever is not good enough. At this point none of us have really eaten and we just want a refund for being given the wrong order, which we couldnt eat and then having half our order missed, and as we received the wrong order it has another customer name, address and number on and they will have ours....isn't that against GDPR?! Again the manager wasn't happy saying they can't refund, they would need to speak to their area manager and all that nonsense! We are now seriously annoyed, hungry and about £25 down and nothing to show for it. Honestly so annoyed and have made a complaint to the store and headoffice which SI was very reluctant to give out saying there was no need and arguing with my partner. Very unprofessional and if not refunded within 24 hours I'm going to trading standards and making a serious GDPR complaint as we have someone else details and they have ours!

I received a call from the delivery driver explaining that they've given my order, which contained all my information, name, address etc. to another customer. They asked if I was willing to take their order as a substitute for my order I placed however I explained that I ordered a vegan pizza with vegan cheese and it would not be eaten here. The driver then asked if I wanted to take the incorrect order while I waited for my order as compensation for the wasted time. I said yes and explained to the driver at the door that I wanted my correct order. I was given the other customers order which included his full name, address and phone number too. 45 minutes went by and I received my vegan pizza with no sides, just the pizza on its own. I decided to call the store asking for a full refund as the food was cold and I was tired of receiving the incorrect order. I was told by the manager, 'Si', that I could not get a full refund and I could only have a refund for the garlic dough bites. I declined his offer, as it did not compensate for the time wasted, the missing items and the cold pizza, I told the manager that I would leave a bad review as I was extremely disappointed. The manager then responded with 'okay josh, goodbye' proceeding to hang up the phone.

Asked to leave outside as was not home in time. Diver didn’t speak English and never left the food as I asked.

Placed a large order for a business lunch - 68 pizzas plus sides, desserts and drinks. Spoke directly with the store manager to arrange before placing the order. All food arrived bang on time, steaming hot and everything ordered was delivered. Thoroughly recommend using this store!

Me and my partner arranged food for our wedding and was a fantastic experience! The managers and staff were great in getting our order right and was bang on time! Pizza and sides were piping hot and made our day special! Thanks so much to the Mansfield Team- great service!

After placing the order it was at my door half an hour later, absolutely amazing speed! The pizza was really nice, everything was fresh. The only problems I found was the Large is the size of a medium pizza at other pizza places, also the garlic dip tasted like custard, I think I got a dodgy dip lol. Really was nice but it's a luxury I can't afford all the time, so if your rich, this place is for you! 🤗

Waited 80 minutes for our order, whenever we called to chase it up all they did was blame the football for being busy. When it finally arrived it was only just warm, and was missing the drink and dips. Called asking for a refund, their only suggestion was to send somebody with the drink, dips and a free pizza, if we’d wanted more pizza we’d have ordered it! I’ve logged a complaint with head office, see how long it takes for a response. If they’d have said they were struggling with deliveries I’d have happily collected it, not a problem. We usually collect and have no problems at all, but this service was frankly appalling. I’d like to return to them, but not until a refund is given and their service improves.

First time trying Papa Johns - pizza was okay but a tad on the greasy side, the "garlic dip" had the consistency of jelly, smelled like margarine and I couldnt even bring myself to try it to say what it tasted like, and to top it off the bottles of Tango were out of date - we definitely won't be returning to the Mansfield branch.

I just wanted to say a massive thankyou to papa John's the food qe ordered was delicious and delivered in a very timely manner, and also a massive thankyou to the delivery driver who has just made my children's night by asking us to wait a second at the door (as soon as he saw our daughter),whilst he ran back to his car and came back with a sack full of gifts, my older boy then proceeded to come down stairs for his tea and as soon as he noticed him got another gift out his bag for him too. What an amazing guy we gave him a tip as a way of saying thanks even though he graciously tried to refuse my partner would not take no for an answer so thankyou so much 😊

PapaJohns is my favourite place to order a pizza. The pizza is baked perfect and the customer service is absolutely great. Ismail have helped me with my order without any issues and made sure I’m a happy customer.

The staff and service was bad disrespectful. . After ordering the man then went in the back instead of making the pizza in the front of shop like normal.. I guess he did things and the pizza was messed with. So cant eat it. Horrible experience.!! I dont even want to give them one star.!!i cant eat a pizza someones messed with !

the restaurant informed me (through track my pizza) that my pizza was cooked and out for delivery an HOUR before it showed up. After 20 minutes watching the “enjoy” button with no driver in sight I phoned up to explain that it hadn’t shown only to be interrupted in my explanation that it was about to leave the restaurant and would be another 15 minutes. He said some bull excuse about their system being broken (regarding the false delivery information), not actually apologising for the confusion however this has happened to me several times before and I believe they are just checking delivery stages so they can meet company wide quotas and not actually trying deliver on time. Like I said this has happened SEVERAL times to me before over a long period of time however an hour delayed in unacceptable and to be met on the phone with rudeness is ridiculous

When are Papa John's going to look into this particular franchisee ? Food is often late , incorrect , missing items , never had one without having stomach problems . Order from the main site and the guy who delivers will act like he's doing you a favour for dropping off food you've paid for . Save £20 and go to a chippy that makes pizzas it's the same quality

I didn’t even want give this place 1 star… ordered through Uber eats at 20:50pm and was told it would be with me between 9:25-945pm and by 10pm, it still wasn’t here. Rang the restaurant directly who said they were preparing it and would be with us soon. It’s now 23:59pm… it never arrived and the store is now closed. Ive rang the restaurant multiple times, and they are now closed and the order NEVER ARRIVED despite taking £32 from my bank account for food that was never delivered. Will be putting in a very harsh complaint tomorrow and have launched a dispute with Uber eats to get the money back. The most ridiculous experience ever. Will NOT be ordering from here again

After 2 months still haven't received a refund for a cancelled order. Was promised a call from an area manager multiple times which never happened... Contacted customer service via website and they also never contacted me back beyond the initial response asking for order number and time etc. Has been my favourite out of the big chains but will not be ordering from PJ again.

Staff are always friendly here, they don't deliver to my area but you get better deals if you pick up, and who doesn't love a good deal?

Having never tried a Papa Johns pizza I thought it was time we should. Ordering online for delivery was easy, simple to follow process, payment went smoothly along with the online discount and having ordered what we fancied we selected delivery asap. Clearly if you order at a peak time you can expect a long wait, fortunately for us, 45 minutes later our food was at our door, a pleasant delivery girl handed over the still hot boxes with a smile. First impressions upon opening the boxes were great, decent size, decent amount of topping, cooked perfectly well, first bite you had a lovely crisp base, nice rich sauce and the toppings were tasty, initially we were very impressed but then the sweetness hit Far too much sugar in our opinion, the after taste was far too sweet and having had a few bites, the sweetness started to hit and sadly for us, spoiled the pizza Based on our first experience, if Papa Johns reduced the amount of sugar in their pizzas, they would be hard to beat but sadly, because of said sweetness, we will not order again

Tried this place as never had papa johns before, potato tots were cold and tasted like bad quality hash browns, pizza was as thin as a menu (if you could even call it pizza) the cinnamon scrolls had no icing like the picture would have you believe and they tasted bland and the garlic bread thing was the best bit, delivery driver was freindly which is why im not giving 1 star, wont be ordering from here again, rip off prices for sub-par food

If you like dry chewy bread, topped with hardly any cheese meats or veg then this place is for you. On a positive note, it’s on plan for any diet on the planet as you can’t eat much as the texture is similar to the box!

Absolutely gorgeous pizzas I usually use Papa John's Ilkeston but we are at a friends in Mansfield and these were fabulous! fast delivery, red hot and tasty pizza. My friends will be using you from now on to. Thank you!

Ordered twice this week. And both orders came with one or two things missing. Explained this on both occasions what i was missing. The first took over an hour to get the rest of the order. The second time i didnt even get the rest of the order. It feels like there is no quality control, that there is no one checking the orders properly as i find it funny that on both occasions back to back there was atleast one thing missing. The driver didnt seem to care too much either as first time he took it to the wrong house and drove off before i was even able to say anything. The second time the whole non contact thing didnt exist. I enjoy papa johns food but the service was terrible. I will no longer be ordering from the mansfield papa john again.

Ordered at 18:00 for 20:45 and still didn't arrive until 22:00 stone cold. Would have been nice if the staff could have answered the phone as well to say where our order was, but instead required us to drive across town to ask in person.

I ordered from Papa Johns Mansfield last night and it never turned up. I phoned the restaurant to be told the manager had cancelled the order with no explanation given. I ordered through Just Eat and according to their detail it WAS delivered. Absolutely disgusting service. I will never use Papa Johns again!

We have ordered multiple times in the last few months as we prefer Papa John's pizzas over the rest. However, every single time we have ordered there has always been either something wrong or something missing, one time we rang and complained and the person on the end of the phone hung up on us as it was close to closing time. We've given plenty of chances and we're not expecting anything over the ordinary we just want to be able to trust that we get what we paid for. I'm not sure we will be ordering from Papa John's again.

Food delivered within the hour, which is the only good thing I can say. Pizza and chicken sides were stone cold. They might be okay if you collect but do NOT bother with delivery.

Was amazing. First time having Papa John's Pizza. Service was quick an got my pizza faster than my daughter could create her emoji on my phone. It's just grab and go because there's no sitting area but that's about it.

We dont have pizza often and the last time we ordered from here it was not that great, got the order wrong, but, several months have passed and we wanted to try somewhere different from the hut, and the grease pit that is dominos is out of the question, so ordered online, asap delivery, pizza turned up in about 35minutes and warm, the problem, the order was wrong again, the crate your own pizza, they had put PINEAPPLE on it when we had asked for PEPPERONI! so we had a spicy pizza with pineapple, wonderful, the other bbq chicken pizza seemed like the onion had been put on after the pizza had been cooked, it was not great, the small double pepperoni was fine. So, it's safe to say that we will not be ordered form these again, 2 ordered and both messed up.

1st time ordering tonight shockingly bad Both pizzas were dry, wedges were even dryer giant cookie was well over cooked dilivery took over an hour. I have given the 1 star for the bottle of 7up

This is the only time I've had a pizza shop cancel my order, for no reason, and without telling me. Also the only time a company have told me there is no complaints procedure How this place is still in business when they cancel orders just because they don't want to do there job is anyone's guesd

Shocking. Waited nearly 2 hours for 2 pizzas for them to be cold and stale. When calling back they were rude. Explained they were busy and been sat around in some sort of hot plate oven. Offered a free pizza for 1(if I call back and speak with manager on next order) but because more than 3 slices has been eaten from another they did nothing. Just not good enough.

If I could give no stars I would. The food was shocking, the majority of reviews we read about Papa Johns were, barely any toppings, sauce and cheese. It was all 3 of these things and more, the base was bland, seasonless and tasteless. It did not pop out at me, it tasted like a standard freezer pizza. The only upside is that we got 50 percent off, it was hard as cardboard. I have never been to Papa Johns before, but I know its our first and last time. Well Papa John you must be so proud of this franchised establishment which is utter rubbish and does you down as a name. What are you doing about it? Absolutely nothing, I have seen countless negative reviews for the past year on the Mansfield branch, have you done anything to rectify the problem? No! You have bob hope now... bob hope.

Ordered at 12:50 got it at 13:30, I've wolved it down in 5 minutes! im stuffed now! that pizza size you can see is small, everything was cooked perfectly, I've really enjoyed it and it starts this afternoon off for me for sure! its my birthday today and i cannot thank them enough for the fantastic pizza, its abit pricey, but i don't mind if its as good as the one i recieved! take no notice of the bad reviews what people post, my pictures speak for themselfs! highly recommend and will be ordering from these again in time!

Phoned up to place order and was asked for my phone number, Told him i dont know it off the top of my head so was told to ring back when i knew it. Rang back 2 minutes later and wasn't asked for it this time. Was told that payment would be taken by card reader by delivery guy and when he arrived he passed me the phone for me to give card details over the phone. Pizza going cold while all this is going on, Why didn't he take payment when i first rang up? Hardly any toppings on the cold pizza and the wedges were stone cold and some were hard. Not worth the money paid so never again. Oh and just to mention that I only live just up the road so why was it cold?

We did our first online pizza order. We requested that it be ready at 6:30pm giving them about 1 and a half hours to make the order. I arrived at PJs. They asked my name and there it was like the flash. The staff members all said “Happy New Year!” The pizza was great. Fresh dough with great choice of toppings. We also had chicken poppers and a cheese garlic bread. The only complaint is the price with a total of £19. Still it will be an occasional treat to look toward to on special occasions.

Service is much better now they've been open at this branch a while, ordered pizzas for delivery at 7:15pm - arrived at the door at exactly 7:15pm! Piping hot, cooked perfectly... really enjoyed them. Highly recommend Papa John's over the competition
