The pizza base was burnt, they used regular cheese instead of vegan, the base sauce was also dried up due to being in the oven for too long and the extra toppings that I paid for were missing. Now I have been blacklisted from ordering from them again because I managed to get a refund through Pay Pal when they refused to provide me with one directly. Just cross the road and buy from dominoes. They are much better.

Forgot to post, one time I ordered a pizza and it had arrived cold. The manager was trying to tell me that it couldn't possibly be as it was fresh out the oven, then straight out for delivery. I told her that the box didn't even have any condensation from heat on it at all so either the pizza was cold when they put it in or she'll have to find out the reason why. After thinking about it for a while she thought it must be from where she places the pizzas awaiting delivery, saying something about them near the fan blowing cold... (facepalm) She offered me a discount off my next order but I noticed this branch has been closed for a while now, wonder what's wrong?

At least now we know never to order from papa johns again, unless we fancy an absolutely flavourless pizza. Arrived cold. Worst takeaway pizza we have ever had, very disappointed.

Ordered two American hot pizzas , niether apeared to have any pepperoni . I called only to be asked if "I' checked under the cheese ?". When I pointed out the stupidity of this question & indeed the practice of hiding toppings under the cheese (how the hell do you know what is on it ? No one ever in the history of pizza puts the toppings under the cheese for that very reason !), I was presented with a manager so bereft of intelligence or skill that I was forced to concede defeat through sheer boredom. An absolute shower !

Typical, junk food chain restaurant. But from professional side of it it is always delivered fresh, fast and tasty (what else you can expect from place like this?) Really tasty pizzas with famous - quirky - garlic butter as a sauce. Probably The Best American style Double Pepperoni in town, btw. 👍👍👍

Consistant and reliable, order somewhat frequently and not had an issue

I ordered from here today, I accidentally added a vegan pizza to my order instead of margherita, The woman on the phone replaced it for free even though it my fault. Definitely ordering here again lovely staff, lovely service.

My pizza was horrible they wouldn’t change it and my side was just as bad.

Last two deliveries have taken ages and pizzas have obviously been sitting on the shelf for some time before leaving the store. Tepid and over done. Won’t be ordering again

Two pizza orders one month, both wrong and the second one only for got the bin.First order pizza had missing toppings the desserts had none at all (so they were just dry dough), no dips and incorrect drinks.Second order two pizzas and garlic bread were so burnt and dry they were inedible. Pizza was missing a topping and the dips were incorrect.Don't bother with this place. It's a shame as when it's been nice it's been good but I would not go there again now.

I love papa John's pizza, but my local branch is 2 minutes away and the pizza is either cold, wrong or lacking an ingredient. This has happened several times. I understand that it's Tuesday and you're busy, but if you deliver 2 large pizzas down the road and they're cold and one has 3 jalapeños on it... I don't understand why I'm not offered a refund, and instead we have to wait 40 minutes for another pizza? Just give me my money back, don't make me wait longer for more food that may also turn up cold or in deficient.

I was not happy with the food, all of it was a bit burnt (especially the cookie) and the amount of cheese on the margarita pizza was pathetic. Not worth the money.

Bit of a mixed bag, I've had great pizzas and okay pizzas, the vegan range is great and I appreciate the quickly growing vegan menu. I would argue that it is value for money if there's a good offer available like 50% off (when you spend £40). Delivery is reasonably prompt and they've had better luck locating my address compared to other local companies.

Best pizza takeaway in my opinion. Good recipes and the garlic butter is the balls.

Went to dominos a few times but after trying papa johns for the first time don’t think I’ll be going back to dominos anytime soon the staff was very helpful and have amazing discounts offers would recommend :)

Was ok a few months ago. Good value and acceptable pizza. Not now. Not sure what has changed. But poor / very slow delivery and overcooked last couple if times.

Food was definitely sub-par but even though they arrived late the driver was very friendly.

Food was horrible and tasted like cardboard. Time taken for pizza was too long and when given the pizzas they had given me the wrong items. Greasy food that covered the pizza. Place was understaffed and they have no co-ordination. Do not go unless you want to be disappointed.

Disgusting service, payed for my order over the phone but when pizza was delivered I was told it was not payed for, driver left me waiting at my doorstep for 15 mins before coming back with cold pizza and saying it had been payed, called to complain manager is clueless doesn’t know what to say or how to deal with a complaint, was told no refund would be allowed as the pizza was delivered????? COLD after 15 mins waiting in the door while the driver rang the restraunt, complaint is ongoing, pleas give this place a wide birth and go to DONINOES OR PIZZAHUT for a proper service!!!!Liars also told me there area manager would phone me but it was actually someone from another store, all recorded so look out your jobs will go I will not leave this lye

sometimes the amount of topping they put in a pizza is ridiculas but dominos cant beat them with quality. its a pure lush to have papa johns pizza.

Delivered wrong pizza after an hour. Waited over 2 and a half more hours for correct pizza to be delivered, gave up and went to bed. Don't use these guys.

Past 3 times I've ordered from here have been bad. First time they took an hour and a half to deliver the wrong order, and then another hour to deliver a cold pizza. Second time they took two and a half hours to deliver a cold pizza, apparently the driver had a breakdown, but they could have least cooked us a fresh pizza Third time they improved slightly by taking an hour and twenty minutes to deliver pizza that was at least warm this time but not hot. Go to domino's instead deliver everytime within fourth five minutes and it's always hot. The pizza is nice here but the service is just absolutely terrible. Tried them again several more times, and never arrive at a decent time, never hot and they are apparently driving in cars that have never been serviced, it's astounding the amount of times the driver has broken down

Terrible, always over an hours wait. Two times now the excuse was the driver has broken down, last time we had the same pizza that they made 2-3 hours before. Waited over an hour this time and then was told driver had broken down again. Food is fine but not the Swansea store, not had a problem with any other papa johns. Dominos here I come.

Amazing people amd great service

Visited Papa Johns for pizza last Wednesday and had a great experience. The lady serving us was very helpful and assisted us in deciding what to have, also telling us about all of the great offers available. We had a large pizza, chicken side, giant cookie and a drink. All of which were lovely and at a great price. We will be visiting again.

Ordered a large cheese and tomato pizza today When I've opened it, seen it was pepperoni large pizza which had someone else's detail on it!!! Not gona order it from Papa Johns at all gona stick with my regular dominos pizza.

We ordered a hawaiian pizza with garlic bread and wedges sides. We live less than 10 minutes from the shop. After 50 minutes I phoned the kitchen and was told it was on the road. After 1 hour 15 minutes I phoned again to chase the order up. There was no apology , just told it was out for delivery. They did give any more details. An hour and half passed before we received the pizza, which was not just like warm, but cold. The delivery man said he left the kitchen 10 minutes before. The garlic had dried on the bread avd the pineapple was very bitter. The wedges were cold and hard. Genuinely, this the the worse service from a pizza place.

Delicious & quick too, excellent service. Great choice of pizzas and desserts. Freshly made on the premises, lots of special offers available.

So what worse the fact you say atleast 4 times on the phone about how many sauces you ordered and what they were and looked like to make sure they send the right dips as been sent wrong ones or none at all previously .. So you wait 1 hour for 1 pizza and 1side to come to say to the delivery driver are the sauces in the box for a reply of yes and then to sit down to open the box to NO SAUCES how frustrating can it get ??? The fact I can't eat a pizza without sauce or the fact the pizza be cold by the time they get back with the sauces !!!! How hard is it to put the sauces in the box you managed to make and cook a pizza what so hard about putting the sauces in aswell &:&/&/'!!!!!!!!!! Urghhhhhh it's your job to take orderes exactly the way they are ordered and to deliever exactly the way it was ordered ! What a joke .. Anyone want some cold pizza with no sauces ??????

The pizza is lovely The prices who sets them Home delivery fast but you feel obliged to tip. But still way too expensive.

Shocking! Food was two hours late. Said its on its way should be 15 mins, we phone up 20 mins up with no sign of pizza and they said they left 5 minutes ago! When it arrived had a medium pizza not a large, the sides were cold and the pizza was bland and tasteless. Won't be ordering there again. Wasn't even sorry or any explanation.

Took them over 2 hours to deliver two pizzas, only 1.5 miles down the road on a Monday evening. Finally arrives and they've only sent one of the pizzas. Update: 3 hours have passed, they've failed to deliver ONE PIZZA, oh but they've thrown in a free drink so I guess that makes up for it. Further update: it has arrived after 3 and a half hours, but so much for the free drink attempt to make up for it. They forgot that too. Next time, it'll be domino's.

Not very nice pizza, walk across the road and get one. They claim if you don't like it they give you one free, why? If you don't like it why would you want a free one.

En Swansea última noche para jugar en el grand y me apetecía pizza pero no podía compensar nuestras mentes, el personal era genial, muy amable y servicial, de hecho, ya que había mucha variedad, habríamos sido atrapados sin ellos, jaja, al final nos ofrecieron una pizza tamaño XXL, por £9. 99 y, por supuesto, mina dos mitades diferentes muy carnoso, la mujer cursi y jamón, jaja, también pedimos un lado de Alas negras habanero. En consejo. . jaja, fue genial para verlos manejar las bases y hacer una gran pizza de una bola de masa, sin duda un arte. Pizza era enorme y perfectamente cocinado, jajaja como eran las alas deliciosos. Honestamente puedo decir que fue una de las mejores pizzas que he probado. Bien hecho chicos.

There was at least one thing wrong with every order made. When I phoned about getting another pizza delivered after the first one was completely wrong, the woman on the phone was very rude and even added too much of the ingredient in question, I'm guessing in spite, which ruined the pizza. Will not order again

Standard pizza I picked it up as I don't like home delivery. Pizza from chains seem to be the same as others.

Took 3 hours to arrive on a Tuesday night

Usually comes within the hour. Cheaper and wider range of deals than Dominos. All pizzas are delicious. (I mostly get Spicy Italian). Only downside is lateness and having to phone to find out where the driver is.

Regularly getting pizza to collect, usually good ingredients & friendly staff. Never had any of the delivery-related issues. Decided to go against what I'd had historically & got 'ham hock' & mushroom. Expectation: fresh plain-roast tender hock chunks. Was sorely disappointed to receive what appeared to be mechanically cut cuboids; tasted like cheap, smoked reconstituted, textureless mush of the Bernard Matthew's ilk! Couldn't eat without gagging & threw all but 2 slices away. The usual jovial smiler behind the counter was not there either. The star is for not unpleasant service & hot food. I'll go back but not give ham a miss.

Ordered a pizza, wings and dessert. 45 minutes after placing the order was informed the delivery would take at least another 30 minutes. Simple unacceptable for a pizza delivery restaurant.

Better than Domino's...nuff said.

I ordered a pizza from this store at 1.45am, I understand it was late but I was with a friend and we had decided we wanted some food, no big deal. I ordered the food and put my phone number down then proceeded to pay by card. I waited for over an hour for the food then called the store, they said the driver had arrived at my house and then called the number I had given. To start with if he was at my house why did he need to call the number not just knock, two he obviously called the wrong number because the number i put down was exactly right. Anyway the man at the store said they were closed and that he couldn't do anything about it. What about my refund? Didn't even mention it was probably hoping I would forget, have emailed the head office and am hoping for a resolution but do not order from this restaurant use Domino's, far more reliable, only tried this place as I thought I would try something new, I made a mistake but never will again.

Ordered a pizza for delivery online. Pre ordered for 08:00 as I thought they might be busy. Driver arrives opens the bag and says "oh, wrong order" turns around and walks away with no explanation.im if he has the other order with him the response was "they'll have worked it out by now". Got in his car and left. Half an hour later I call the Dillwyn street branch and get put on hold to be told the order is out for delivery. I'm assuming this means that as it is now 50 minutes later I'm getting a stone cold pizza? Poor service all round, very disappointing!

Great tasty pizzas..love all the meats fan..service was good..delivery time 33minutes..the delcious pizza just made my day!!! Thank you again..I'll be ordering every week

I could write a lengthy review about this excellent pizza chain, but all I need to say is that it's ten times better than dominos / pizza hut, cheaper and I have never had a bad pizza since going here for the past 3 years. Pizza = Papa John's.

I ordered for the first time last week and my prder took over a hour to come. I received a phone call a few days later apologizing and offering me £10 off if I order again. I did so on this Friday night. When my order arrived my BBQ chicken had no BBQ. Me and my partner had to eat separately while I waited for my new pizza. I've tried this place twice but never again! AVOID!
