Pedí pollo estofado para llevar. Después de haber comido una buena cantidad de que me di cuenta de que algunos de los pollos fue significativamente poco hecha. Como no estaba lejos del restaurante me fui Y MUY AMABLEMENTE informó a la señora que sirve que la comida era un poco crudas. Ella repetidamente intentó decirme que la comida estaba bien como 'no es posible que en un estofado de pollo poco hecho", a pesar del hecho de que claramente no era comestible. No sólo era la comida poco hecha, pero nunca he recibido peor servicio a los clientes. Sin duda no volveré y fuertemente desalentar a nadie de visitar a menos que quieras conseguir enfermo y ser tratado como mal como yo.

The food was amazing, just what my taste buds needed on a Saturday evening. I had pork, bbq ribs, rice and peas, coleslaw and macaroni cheese....the portions are large....well worth the money.....definitely my best Caribbean restaurant....😊

Unbelievable food, from the salt fish, BBQ chicken, dumplings, to the brown chicken with rice and pea, curried goat and staple jerk chicken with hot gravy (which was, unsurprisingly, scorching). Good service, outrageous food and even got a hug from the momma herself.

Regularly eat here, can't say I've ever been disappointed, only ever been satisfied. Recommend highly! Fresh new deco in there too!

Visitamos Panda para una comida familiar Berry de semana santa. Tengo que decir que la comida del Caribe más sabrosos que hemos tenido. El ambiente era excelente tienen el restaurante recientemente reformado que parece increíble. El personal es extremadamente cálida y amable, pero la comida, Dios mío! Es realmente delicioso las maravillosas críticas completamente a la altura de las expectativas.

No puedo alabar Panda Berry y su equipo lo suficiente, sólo tenía a mi hijo durante el fin de semana su bautizo la comida era sencillamente espectacular. Yo recomendaría, sí son caros, pero se obtiene lo que se paga y eso es comida de alta calidad que le deje familia y amigos hablando en años venideros. Sin duda utilizando sus servicios de nuevo.

5 estrellas para el auténtico, deliciosa comida caribeña. Qué tesoro escondido que ahora hemos descubierto. Una gran comida con buena comida sabrosa calidad junto con un servicio amable hizo que nuestra primera visita agradable y memorable. Sin duda volveremos y lo recomiendo. Muy buen trabajo!

Las mesas están bien dispuestas, pero la iluminación brillante, simple decoración y comida contador definitivamente más una cafetería que un restaurante. Nos decepcionó un poco que llegar a 7. 30:00 varios de los elementos de menú había vendido, pero lo que teníamos era agradable. El pollo al curry era bastante simple, pero el Jerk Chicken era excepcional y las porciones laterales de arroz deliciosa (y que fue el arroz normal, estoy seguro de que el experimentado arroz habrían sido incluso más sabroso, pero les gustaría salir de eso. Los tamaños de porción eran grandes, y también mencionar también debe ir a el ponche de piña, la fruta y ponche, que eran fantásticos y significa que no sentimos la necesidad de beber el vino que había traído (están sin licencia, pero puede traer su propio).

Excelente Jerk Chicken y sazonada de arroz. Yo también tenía el pescado picante que podría decir era AMAAAAAAAAZINGGGG. También conseguí mi encargo hecho por el ponche de piña (Propietario y precioso Panda Chef), que era muy amable para hacerlo. La gente es estupenda, la comida. No puedo recomendar este lugar - mi nuevo favorito jamaicana en Londres.

Leí algunas críticas muy buenas en descubrir este restaurante esta tarde, así que mi compañero y yo decidimos visitar. Bien en primer lugar, el servicio de atención al cliente era estupendo, había para cada capricho y nada era demasiado problema para nuestro servidor muy amable y agradable.

Visited on a Groupon deal,the oxtail was meaty & juicy,the curry goat was not over spicy but tasty,the food was enjoyable, the waitress was very pleasant & attentive.this restaurant also offers take away, on the way out, the food in the window looked wicked, It was worth the trip travelling from south London. I was excited to bring my Foodie Group to a Caribbean restaurant in Finchley...especially once I had met the chef patronne, who was lovely. Five of us booked dinner there and I asked the charming waitress (who was the owner's daughter) if she had cooked the food as her mother was absent. She replied that they have a chef who comes in the mornings........

Right opposite the Arts Depot and the North Finchley bus station, it seemed silly to go looking for anywhere else. A limited menu but plenty of the Caribbean favourites. An extremely friendly welcome and helpful advice about the menu.We opted for fish cakes and chicken wings as starters, followed by Jerk Chicken with rice and beans. Very meaty wings with a thick, tasty sauce that did not blow your head off. The fish cake was definitely on the spicey side but in a good way. A very distinctive taste of herbs and spices in the Jerk Chicken - thyme, pepper and a modest dose of chillies? We were provide with a large thimble full of sauce to pour over the chicken. Taking the hint that less was more, we used only a couple of teaspoons and that was enough to give the dish a really memorable kick.Will be back and will recommend to all of our friends.

I ordered a takeaway online using JUST EAT after eating Panda Berry's food at the Food Festival in Shoreditch. The food is amazing, The portion sizes are great and the staff are so lovely! Highly recommended.

I went for lunch, I had jerk chicken with rice and peas for £5 - it was a bargain, the chicken was delicious and juicy! Will go back to try other dishes

We called and made a booking. Pandora was kind and offered us parking at back of the restaurant. What a brilliant find this place is. I have been to many Jamaican restaurant and this was 1st Class. We ordered, Rice and peas, Curried Goat and Ackee and Saltfish. I couldn't fault the food and the potion size was so good I had to take the rest home with me. My husband said it was perfect, although when compared with my own Curried Goat he wouldn't comment Lol. Pandora gave us two slices of Rum cake well I can bake and this was on par with my own Rum cake. I will be going back again and taking my friends.

Great jerk chicken. Great rice and peas. Great jollof rice. Great bar-b-que chicken. Lovely, friendly owner. In fact everything I've ever had here has been great. What's not to like?

We fancied "something different" on a Saturday night, 7 of us visited Pandaberry. The cafe-type layout offers a no frills atmosphere but you don't come here for the seating etc. The food more than makes up for the aesthetics. They don't have an alcohol licence but only charge £2.50 corkage if you take your own. We ordered jerk chicken, curried chicken, BBQ chicken, veggie curry, plantain, patties all served with spicy rice & peas. The curries and hot sauce were really hot, full of flavour, just so yummy. Apparently the chicken were all amazing, bursting with flavour. The owner has a wonderful larger than life personality and we found the whole experience perfect! Our fingers were sticky, our faces were messy and our bellies were full! We will absolutely 100% will return, counting the days!

We ate here before seeing a show at the Artsdepot (which is opposite). We visited this resturant on the 5th March 2016 . The service was great . Very hospitable staff made you feel very warm and welcome always checking up on you to see if everything's ok . I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas & macaroni cheese . The meal I had was lovely very flavoursome and tasty . Overall the experience was very good and i recommend you visit this resturant as soon as possible .

We chose this restaurant to celebrate mums 60th birthday. The location is great with parking close by and the food was excellent. The service was friendly and was very accommodating with children. And we know good caribbean food!! Highly recommended for all occassions, will definately visit again. Many many thanks!!!

First of all do not judge the exterior its whats cooking on the inside that matters - some people are just not easily pleased!! Having tried a few Caribbean restaurants over time i always found them quite over priced and and minimal in their take away service until i came across Panda! its been my fourth time now ordering a takeaway and i have fully become addicted to the food there,. The prices are fair for the amount that is given to you (even enough to eat the next day)! portions are out of this world - and the food is made with nothing but LOVE. everything is well seasoned to perfection. If you want real home cooked Jamaican food i suggest this place over and over again. Every time i go there it gets better. So if you are stuck for something to eat on a Saturday night - GO there! if you want food made with love and flavor this is the place. a real hidden gem in north finchley! Also would like to give a shout out to the owner - thank you for being so kind every time we see you. Something that is so very rare! ps the curry coat is a must.

Worst Caribbean food I've ever had! 'Jerk' chicken more like BURNT BBQ chicken and dry rice and peas. If you value your etime & money don't eat here!!!

Tables were really dirty, so were the chairs. Even the menus had grease on them.On the plus side service was OK and quality of the jerk was decent, however you could feel it was not fresh.

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times and decided to take my friend there for dinner. She had never been to a Jamican restaurant before but was very impressed with the warm, friendly welcome and tasty home cooking- loving the BBQ chicken. The portions were very generous too. The owner was lovely with a big smile and bigger heart. Will definately visit again.

I've never had Jamaican food before but the owners sure made me feel welcome and took the time to go through the different types of food they had on there menu. The portions were perfectly enough, not to much and not to less. It wasn't busy at all, but it deserves to be because it such a good place for friends to come and enjoy food. Me and my friends will definitely be back.

As the title says, once the owner improve their customer service skills this place will be great.She has to try and greet people when they step in( two times we ate there and two times her approach was exactly the same) or at least smile a bit.It's the same when she is taking the order, you feel almost intimidated.On the other side there is a girl who works there and she is nice and friendly, owner should look up to her.Food was delicious and served quick.Such a shame that customer service spoils the experience.Place should be cleaner, tables aren't cleaned properly and table covers were full of marks.Toilet is not the best too.

Trying to find something different to take away we stumbled on Panda Berry on JUST EAT . Delivery was fast and a lovely smile from the young lady. Enjoyed the BBQ & Jerk chicken with Peas and rice and their Fried dumplings are very tasty. Large portion is LARGE Subsequently went to the restaurant in North Finchley just opposite the Arts Depot entrance at the weekend for take out as requested by my kids and again was very happy with the food Definitely worth a visit if you fancy a change from the usual take aways. Panda Berry is now going to be a Usual Take Away in our home

My husband and I read some reviews before visiting and weren't disappointed. The service is very friendly and helpful if a bit eccentric. When we were there someone ordered a drink they didn't stock and so the waitress literally carried all the other options to the table! There is no licence so we got a bottle of wine locally and they didn't charge us corkage. Really good advice on the food, our waitress recommended brown fish, which doesn't sound too appetising but it was delicious! Also the fried plantain and fishcakes were great. The food is spicy but really tasty. My husband wasn't as keen on his chicken. The decor is a bit mad but for a really cheap delicious dinner, especially if you're going to the Arts Depot, then don't pass this place by. It looks like a takeaway but the standard of food is much higher. Would definitely go back as the food is great and the service refreshingly honest.

This place is hit and miss. Been there few times and sometimes it good and some times the food is off. It's also halal. Need to be more consistent with food.

Cannot believe that the rice was stale and the chicken burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Worst Jamaican food we have ever had!!!! The restaurant really needs a good cleaning.

I visited this restaurant for the first time two days ago and had to return today as the food was absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is so inviting but their fried fish and barbecue chicken are to die for, spectacular! Despite being busy, the staff maintain a very pleasant manner and it's a very memorable experience. Pandora's service is next to none and she has an extremely welcoming plus calm way about her. Needless to say, I will be paying a return visit along with family and friends so that they too, can enjoy this wonderful food.

I am a regular customer of panda Berry's and I can confirm that this is the best West Indian restaurant in Finchley!!I would recommend the chicken soup which has a selection of dumplings, yam and spice! Or the oxtail dish with rice and peas, the curry chicken with dumplings, the list can go on, if you live or work in Finchley and you haven't visited this restaurant you are missing out!Panda and Sam together make the experience a very exciting one too!

Having recently moved to the area we were u sure of what restaurants would be good. Having walked passed today and smelt the food I could hardly resist giving it a go tonight. Having had a good chat with the really friendly owner, there were high expectations on the takeaway food. Truly fantastic good food food! Full of flavour and decent sized portions, real value for money!!

Visited pandaberry today for Easter lunch had such a fantastic experience the staff where very welcoming and friendly not to mention the food which reminded me of being back home in jamaica certainly the real deal will defiantly be returning

I visited panda berry last night with one of my female companions. We had a lovely evening....The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was fantastic, both my friend and I had the oxtail with a side order of plantain, coleslaw and maccaroni. I would highly recommend Panda berry for anyone looking to enjoy tasty caribbean cuisine in a nice relaxed atmosphere. I will be returning at some time in the near future.

Was looking for some good home cooked caribbean food around NW London and stumbled across this place on tripadvisor and glad I visited.Weather was pretty bad and ended up getting lost finding it (no ones fault but my own) but when we finally found it and I opened the door, the smell of the food made me forget how bad the weather was. I just wanted to get down to eating the source of those glorious smells.Pandora (or Panda) makes you feel at home. Felt like i turned up to a family house to eat. Good home cooked food, full of flavour…the portions …literally my plate was spilling with food. Nothing i can fault. The food is on show when you come in and piping hot so it does help you make an easier decision rather than a pot luck one. Do not regret picking my choice of the BBQ chicken at all.Had a nice little chat with pandora before i left as well. Definitely deserves the success in her business and genuinely enjoys cooking good food for people.Definitely somewhere I'll be going again to eat.

I had a birthday meal with my family at Panda Berry, and I also get a takeaway when I'm in North Finchley. The portions are large, food is really delicious, there is nothing to fault and I'm so glad it's in my local area... Definitely recommend!

Panda Berry had been highly recommend by my cousin so I was relishing the prospect of eating West Indian food again after not having had it for one year.As I walked into the restaurant I was greeted with a smile, something important for me when about to spend my hard earned money.I decided to go with the curry goat and rice accompanied with plantain, salad and a glass of sorrel. I must add that the owner warmed to me very quickly as I engaged in conversation and I immediately felt very comfortable in the restaurant.The tables were well laid out and the music volume was gentle in the background.Another great thing I loved about the restaurant was that it very much felt like a family owned venture with everyone seeming to know the guests.As I am about to travel back up to Edinburgh I am delighted that I made the journey to Panda Berry and I would highly recommend to friends and family.Food: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5

I had read the great reviews before I decided to travel to the Panda Berry restaurant, and i'm so glad I chose to go and found such a great place.Like many people I know when you go to a caribbean restaurant/take-away, you often feel short-changed once you see the food you get.At Panda Berrys the portions are BIG. Even my partner who often has to pay a visit to mcdonalds after we eat at a restaurant was full up.The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food presentation was good and the food tasted even better (even better than my Mums home cooking. Sorry Mum) Jerk chicken, bbq chicken, rice and peas, dumplings, everything was amazing. I will definately be going again.If you want simply great tasting caribbean food, you have to pay this restaurant a visit. Trust me you won't be disappointed X

Pandaberry has become my most regular and favourite takeaway. The staff are friendly and the home-cooked food is always great. I had never tried Caribbean food before but now I'm hooked! Love the Goat curry or cow foot with rice and peas. My sons love the jerk chicken and my hubby loves the dumplings. Going to try the Escovitch fish next and have been told to try their lamb shank which Panda will cook to order if I want. Great tasty alternative to the usual Indian or Chinese takeaway if you fancy a change.

Pandaberry is quite simply a gem tucked away in the heart of North Finchley. My Trinidadian Mum and me and Caribbean food-loving boyfriend finally made a trip there recently on a cold, dark winter's Monday night. We were welcomed with a big smile from the owner, Pandora who makes you feel like you're being looked after straight away; she certainly lifted my spirits. All the food is on display so before we sat down we were enticed by a selection of tasty-looking soul food, from barbecued chicken and curried goat to fried fish, macaroni cheese and ackee and saltfish. We sat down to a table decorated in bright pink and purples with the feeling of a relaxed and down-to-earth cafe but with a twist of vibrance and razzle dazzle. My Mum is vegetarian and although there wasn't a great deal of selection on that evening (what is on display is what they have), she was offered split peas (curried lentils with coconut) to go with rice n peas and coleslaw. I opted for a range of treats - ackee and saltfish, Escovich fish and barbecue chicken while my other half went for the curried goat. Everything was sensational - proper home-cooked, hearty, delicious food. My Mum's lentil dish was beautifully spiced and smooth and luxurious, the curried goat was tender and tasty, the rice and peas spot on. My saltfish and ackee was possibly the best I've had, the Escovich fish with tart peppery pickled vegetables on fried fish awaked the taste buds and the barbecued chicken was sticky and oozing flavour - all complimented by sweet crunchy coleslaw. To top it all prices were very reasonable.To impress two West Indians and three people all of whom make Caribbean food at home is no mean feat and Pandora, whose grandchildren call her Panda, hence the name of the restaurant - managed to do so. I can't wait to go back and would recommend this gem to my friends like a shot!

We had an evening 50th birthday meal for 30 plus family and friends at Pandaberry's. The good thing about this place is the friendly and accommodating staff. Pandora and her staff are lovely. We had a good time. You will find the detail of my reviews are honest as I read reviews and depend on the honesty of others.It is a cafe style set up and Pandora set it out nicely with decorated tables. I think the dining area probably comfortably holds 25 as there was a table with 4 seats along a wall which was very tight for space but we squeezed about 30 in. The food was nice and cooked well. It was set out in buffet style warmers and included meat (curry goat was very good),fish and vegetarian options. The red peas soup was nice but very scotch bonnet 'hot' which was just too much for some.I personally felt the cost of £18 per head plus soft 'homemade' drinks (£3 per glass) was a tad on the expensive side especially as we were charged an extra £1 per container (which cost a few pence each) to take left overs home (which in my view were already paid for). We did not have a dessert.The atmosphere was good being all family together. I can't say what it would have been like on a normal night out but we had a good time.I would use Pandaberry's as caterers for events as their food is good and if I was in the area (I don't live locally) I would eat there again. My friends and I celebrated my birthday in this wonderful restaurant. We enjoyed a long and lazy evening with fantastic food and in a warm, friendly environment. The Chef is second to none. Thank you all for making my day very special. Hope to be back soon.

Always enjoy eating at Panda Berry. Everyone is so nice and the food is delicious. This time I had the Brown Stewed Chicken, which was juicy and tasty. Friends had the Goat curry and Barbeque Chicken, which were also met with happy reviews.I've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed!

A couple of evenings ago I met with a group of friends at Panda Berry. My first ever Caribbean dining experience turned into a very pleasant surprise. Very tasty food; personal and very friendly service and very reasonably priced. I loved the sorrel and ginger drink. All round success, and I'll definitely be back.

I was invited to join friends at this Restaurant, after driving 1 hour from my home I was greeted by a warm smile and pleasant service throughout our stay. The food was fantastic and the chicken broth was to die for. We was treated to a kings meal with all the food tasting excellent from start to finish, a must visit when in the area.

It's my first time visiting Panda Berry with a group of friends. Great home-made foods, huge portions, surprisingly very tasty. Best part, it's, a family run restaurant, being there felt like being a guest at a home dinner party, all food cooked by Pandora and served by Samantha. Definitely visit again. Firstly impression of the restaurant very back dated and old !! Needs upgrading big time . Was not shown to a seat and told to choose where ever we wished . When seated we were given a menu by a young British lady with a strong Caribbean accent . When placing our order there were numerous drinks out of stock causing us to have to order water and an unwanted soda . I must admit our food did come quick although it wasn't cooked fresh it came from the front of shop . Where it was stored in for god knows how long . Stored on burners . Our food microwaved and then brought to the table . Don't expect to be dining 5* this is not the case it's a back street take away . Cutlery was dirty !!!! Not a great impression when dining out .. But down to the food I will not be going back here ever again the best part of my plate was the fried plantain . The jerk chicken tasted like plain oven roasted chicken . And veryyyy salty !!! The rice and peas was from the top of the pot by wat we could see but rice was very grainy had to ask for extra gravy !!!! Overall it was a waste of time and money . My partner did not eat his food. You can get better cooked at your Grandmas house !!!!

Best island food i've had in a while!! Coming from Bermuda, this is a taste of home!! Brown stew, BBQ chicken, Curry goat Dumplings, Fishcakes, coleslaw, EVERYTHING IS BANGIN!!! Home style food good for ya soul!!! I go at LEAST once a week.

I feel like I was just taken to the Caribbean amazing food staff are lovely such great atmosphere LOVE IT!!! Go visit them guys you won't be disheartened. xx

Pleasant owner very accommodating and the food is to die for. The daily soup is a must especially for the onset of winter.

My Experience at Panda Berry was an extremelly positive one. This is the first carribean restaurant that I have ever been to where the food, tasted exactly like home made food. I went to Panda Berry as part of a group for my Great Aunt's 80th Birthday. The staff went to great effort to make sure we had a great time, the service was fantastic and the food was truly amazing, this really is true carribean food. The Food is high quality, and reasonbly priced, roughly coming to £10-12 per head. I will defintely be going back, and will certainly bring friends. If you have a chance to go I strongly recomend you try this restaurant, the food is great and the staff are very warm and friendly. This place is defintely a hidden Gem.

I first visited Panda Berry with my friends and have been returning more & more frequently! The food is delicious and keeps me satisfied for hours! The BBQ chicken is a personal favourite. The atmosphere and service is great and I am always greeted by a friendly face. Would reccomend this restaurant to everybody!

Working on a busy high road in North Finchley there is plenty of choice when it comes to lunch, however you cant help but keep going to Panda Berry. Eating the same thing for lunch 3 or 4 times a week you think would get quite boring but this has to be the best Jamaican food I have ever had. The food is always fresh, the portions are always extremely generous and the homemade hot sauce hits the spot beautifully. The service is always fantastic and the 2 ladies never fail to make you leave without a smile on your face.

This is a Jamaican restaurant, situated right opposite the bus garage and Arts Depot at North Finchley. The whole team were very welcoming, and insisted we try some of the Jamaican dishes. in addition to the ones we chose from the interesting menu. We had Jerk chicken, goat curry and other very Jamaican specialties, and we were given samples of Manish water (a very spicy soup made with Scotch Bonnet chilies), and a vegetable noodle dish that were delicious.The staff were so cheerful and welcoming that we are sure to go back. It's a BYO for drinks, but the food bill came to £10 per head, and we were all comfortably full after our evening.

★☆☆☆☆ Placed an order through just eat but received a message to say my order had been declined. Worried that my card had been declined I rang the restaurant to find out the issue. A lady answered the phone, I explained that I had placed the order etc etc. Her reply.... "I'M BUSY! GOODBYE." She then put the phone down. Shocked, I called back and got "I TOLD YOU I'M BUSY YOU'RE WASTING MY TIME" By this time I'm even more shocked at the service. She then proceeded to say "I'M CHRISTIAN! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO? I CAN'T LIE TO YOU. I'M BUSY GOODBYE." At this point I said she needed to address her customer service skills. Her reply was "I'M CHRISTIAN! I DONT HAVE TIME FOR A LECTURE! GOODBYE! She then puts the phone down. This was my first experience with panda berry and will never order from them again. Poor service to the highest level!
