Panda Town in Milton Keynes

I posted a review for this place a year ago and it was decent. Have had it a couple of times recently and now its cheap, badly cooked rubbish. Cash only now which gives you a clue as to what to expect. Horrible. Obviously dont feel the local people deserve a decent product anymore. Avoid.

I go quite often there. The food is good and the cashier is really nice. Good place 👍🏿

One of the best Chinese take away in MK. And the portions are very generous compared to other shops.

Alright food, much of it was overcooked. Friendly and local though.

But the second time now I've gone to buy Chinese the lady behind the account is very sadly does not understand much english and for the second time I was given one order wrong I will never go back there again

Best food served and cooked by the friendliest staff. My husband isn’t a big fan of rice but he absolutely loved the duck fried rice. Thank you!

We had the chow mein and black bean beef and special rice was very nice and my wife comes from south East Asia said it was nice like Burmese food she knows her stuff and reasonably priced

Great food, struggled to find a good Chinese takeaway but this one fits the bill and more. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Food was absolutely great! Huge chicken balls and tasty extra hot curry! Four star rating as I had to pay £2.50 for prawn crackers when my order came too £23.95 so in effect should of paid £1.05 for them as orders over £25 they are free!! Would recommend!

The Best Chinese take-away in the area… friendly staff,never had a bad dish, crispy shredded beef too die for, will happily pay for quality, can get busy towards the weekends but worth the wait..

This is a take away only but they are excellent. I think there was a slightly worse period in the past when food was not so superb, but now they fixed it. All dishes are decent. Cash only - be a run mind. No sitting down, TAKE AWAY ONLY. We are happy it is just next door to us.

Best prawn toast we have had! Lots of veg in the chow mein. Satay sauce was nice and peanut-y. Would be good if they took card payment but the cash machine is just across the road outside Asda. This will be our go to Chinese now!

A small local restaurant with great service, food, and overall experience! Definitely a go-to place for salt and chili dishes .when you are in Milton! Huge variety of to choose from & side dishes are delicious as well. Finally ,the worker over there is very nice and kind ! Fully recommended!

Since opening panda town has become my regular go to for Chinese food. Always fresh, hot and delicious. The chef has an infectious happy smile. And the young lady serving is polite and always has a suggestion for new things to try. 10/10.

Fantastic service and great food

I have had loads of takeaways in my time! But this Chinese is unbelievable. I have driven 30 minutes before to go and get it! Best Chinese takeaway by far! Friendly service.. everyone is always smiling! Food is never over cooked it’s just perfect! This is my new local and it shall stay like that!

First time here. Absolutely loved it! Chicken chow mien was one of the best we’ve had. Sweet and sour chicken balls AMAZING and fresh! Proper curry sauce and the beef melts in mouth. Other dishes (ribs etc lovely) Friendly fast service from a lovely clean shop. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back very soon!

we used to have to travel to Leighton Buzzard for the best Chinese takeaway but this new restaurant takeaway in Newton Leys id very good. Food is tasty and fresh.

Great food, bit annoyed that front of house left my order on side while taking more orders. Eventually I had to interrupt to get food! Saying that their food is fantastic. Probably had 50+ meals from them over the years and very pleased. Chicken balls are huge and put most others to shame. Happy to travel from Leighton Buzzard to collect.

Update - 3 years on and we still think this is the best Chinese in the area! Never disappoints, quick service, delicious food, good portions and reasonably priced. Yes they still take only cash but never had an issue with that! Original review (not changed) - Really good local Chinese, food as good as many places I’ve gotten take away from. Well priced. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cash only payments (cash machine available near Asda), collection only. It takes them only 10-15 minutes to prepare food so not an issue! Much faster than a lot of places that do deliveries. I honestly don’t know what bad reviews are about - I’ve ordered from this place many times trying different things and always good food. I order Chinese at least once a week and I used to order it from various places in MK and honestly always was disappointed with one thing or another.

Food is fine but customer service shocking. Rude lady at reception who doesn’t have a clue about politeness. I was a regular customer but won’t be going back after she insulted me last night.

Terrible food, unfriendly service, even after several visits

Avoid if you want any sort of customer service they got my order wrong and admitted it was there fault but wanted to charge me again to put it right!!

Just ordered a simple singapore noodles chow mein with a request of fresh green chilli, wot I have just received is a plastic tub of over cooked noodles covered in chilli powder. Phoned the girl on desk. Not even a sorry. Please avoid this place. Disgusting food & service

Best chinese takeaway in Milton Keynes, hands down! The food is remarkable and perfect! They also have the greatest sweet and sour chicken balls this side of the world in my opinion Only real downside is they dont accept card payments, which given Coronavirus, many people (myself included) try not to use cash at all.

We tried Panda Town for a change from our usual choice of Chinese takeaway. Rice and noodle dishes were fine. All the other dishes we had from set menu for 4 plus 2 additional dishes (5 or 6) were all covered in a super sweet sticky sauce and tasted the same. The sesame prawn toast had chicken breast in it. Polite and efficient service. Not good food. We’ll be going back to Sky 8 next time.

Now I say normally because today it was a different story, it was my mum and dads 36 year anniversary and we ordered a Chinese (my dad is a very fussy eater) so panda town always goes down well. When we rang we placed are order the lady said it would be 5-10mins now I’m no pro chef but 5 mins to cook 5 dishes was a tall ask. When we got it home we dished up and it was obvious the chicken chop suey we had ordered for my dad was not cooked it was slimy and gluggy not the way it is normally is. We rang the restaurant and asked if we could get a replacement to which the lady said yes come to pick up in 5 mins we hung up and threw the uncooked slimy and gluggy chop suey away and got ready to go collect the replacement. Just before I left I got a phone call from the restaurant asking if we could bring the uncooked slimy and gluggy chicken chop suey back we explained that you hadn’t asked us to bring it back so we disposed of it. The lady replied my boss needs it back for us to give you a replacement, I asked her if she was seriously asking me to get the uncooked,slimy and gluggy chicken chop suey out of the bin and bring it down to which she replied YES. I think this was disgusting service and in the middle of a pandemic she asked me to pull it out of my bin and bring it back surly a photo would of been enough to prove I wasn’t out for a free meal.

The Food is 1st class can't fault it and they took my allergies into consideration as well, only issue some people might have an issue with is that it is CASH ONLY and with Covid that has caused an issue as most people have switched to contactless.

Very Good Quality Food A bit pricey though and only takes cash which is somewhat frustrating.

The best Chinese restaurant I've ever had had pleasure of getting take out, my Mum and I get food from here regularly. Great value for money, always friendly and prompt service, food always tastes absolutely amazing! I recommend this place to everyone and I recommend it to whoever reads this!

Awesome vegan options ! For a while we’ve been missing veggie world but they don’t open every day. We discovered that panda town did a full vegan menu .. game changer! The good was delicious, not greasy and to top it off it was quick! We will be back

Surprisingly good, maybe the best Chinese food in 10 miles. Well, Taipan is the best in Milton Keynes, this is at least the second. I was hesitant to try Panda Town as I’m very pick of Chinese food and most places are not that good, or bad if that simplifies it. I’m surprised by the taste, it’s at least the average taste in China standard for takeaways. Like others mentioned, it’s not oily but well balanced. If I try to be picky, then the prawns are not the best, and the wonton stuffing is a bit dry, but hey, this is the best in the area. It’s a pity that I didn’t try this place for the past two years. The Fish&Chips place next door is really good, but it’s only good at what it does and that’s about it. Panda Town offers a much bigger variety. I like them both.

Panda Town is hands down the best Chinese Takeaway around! The food is really high quality, and not greasy like some takeaways can be, the service is always really friendly and welcoming, and a bonus is that you can see everything being cooked fresh so you know it must be great!! Thoroughly recommended.

I tried Panda Town for the first time on New News Eve and it is the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. The food is freshly cooked, really tasty and good value. I will definitely be going back for more.

I was first to leave a great review here last year but it has disappeared somewhere... We have been going there since it was opened in our new estate. Very good food, great chefs, excellent choice of dishes , we are lucky to have them on the estate. Yes they only accept cash but hopefully this will be solved , fir the time bring there is a cash point only 30 yards away in Asda or Asda do cash back. Ideally yes would be good to be able to use a card machine. However this does not deter us from returning almost every week!

It is the first time we tried Panda Town as we usually go to the same place each time. Today I saw some reviews and decided to give this place a go. I am very glad I did. They have a broad variety of dishes and every dish I chose was delicious. It has been a while since I had crispy 'seaweed' that was actually crispy and flavour some. Eech dish tasted fresh and full of vibrant flavours, delicious and piping hot. To top it off, the staff (in particular the lady who took my order) were extremely polite and friendly. We will definitely return again very very soon. Thank you.

Please don't judge my rating because I haven't actually been in to taste this food yet. But I do go next door to moores chip shop and I have been today to get fish n chips. As always the chips are amazing but I got a battered sausage with my chips today and well let's just say I didn't specify if I wanted a small or large but was given a large anyway but, I'm not happy at all, it was half battered and hard and tasteless. I like my battered sausage fully battered and part crispy part soft and definitely tasty but this one wasn't, I'll give them another try. I can't say enough though that the chips and their gravy is gorgeous, so yum. Will go again
