Panda Take Away in West Lothian

Wow this place hasn't half went downhill I've not been in a while and used to love it so thought I'd treat myself today and what a massive disappointment. Unfortunately its fair to say I won't be back.

Disappointed with the food from this Chinese takeaway, the curry sauce was very bland, beef was full of fat which made it almost impossible to chew, egg fried rice looked very dry and undercooked and didn't taste nice, chips where awful, looked and tasted like re-heats, chicken chow mein was ok but not the best I have tasted, the best thing was the free prawn crackers , the can't be faulted. I'll try other takeaways in future as this was extremely poor quality food .

Excellent meal. Very tasty food. I couldn’t fault anything. This is the first time that we have used this takeaway and it will now be the one that we use from now on. Also, nice friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Great food, amazing staff both counter staff and drivers. A little more expensive than some places around but the quality of the food is far superior

Had a meal for a family get together there were 5 of us and it came to just under £70. Overall the quality and freshness of the food was poor. The chicken dishes looked like the chicken was out a tin as it had oddly large shaped chicken portions as in the mould of a tin. The sauces were bland and no taste of fresh ingredients. The chips were doughy and hard looked as if they were preheated and stored. The fired rice was soggy and smelled of old oil or dirty wok. I summary ok for a filler and cheap takeaway but not a nice food experience. It's a shame as the place seems busy amd looking at the reviews people like the food. Perhaps standards are changing and this is the new new.

The food we got was delicious but really disappointed our main meal wasn't in the bag so I just couldn't score any higher than a 3. We're only in the area for 1 night and chose here based on other reviews. The food doesn't look that good but the flavours are amazing. We only ended up with salt & chilli chips, egg fried rice and curry and BBQ sauce, missing the chicken chow mein. We didn't realise it was missing until I got back to the hotel. Granted I could have called and I'm sure they will have resolved it in some way but we've had a few hours driving with a couple of kids, last thing I wanted to do was run around chasing the food we should have got. Paid £29.40 for a few side orders.

My favourite Chinese takeaway in the area! Delivery is never more than an hour and the food is always hot. The chicken reng dang is so tasty.

Very slow on your orders & not much atmosphere, cut it with a knife, all gossip about what & who should be doing, JUST A RIOT !!!

Been a few times now, and every time, the food has been awesome. The bbq sauce is the best around!

The young chap works hard and provides good food at a reasonable price.

We ordered from Panda for the first time last night, the main course was tasty so it was rice but salt and pepper chips were very dry and hard, I assume they were pre-heated so no they were not tasty. It's a shame as with a few only competitors in the area that don't provide tasty Chinese food, Panda place actually has a great opportunity to have lots of customers but only if their food is fresh and tasty - the chips were a huge disappointment.

first time using this take away i was not disappointed food was lovely but driver needs to carry change gave him a tip but he didn't have much change so tip was 4 quid

Just had a takeaway & it was a congealed cold disappointment. It’s not cheap & when you treat yourself, you expect at least a little quality!! Won’t be back.

Working in the area, so looking for a decent Chinese takeaway. I chose Panda because of the good reviews. I went for House Special Chow Mein and Sweet & Sour battered Chicken Balls (because I'm greedy) - WOW this was very very very nice - great flavour and good value for money. Would definitely return when I'm back up in Livingston.

We were recommended panda Chinese in dedridge & have never looked back. The food is always bang on & has always arrived within 40/50 mins on weekends. The king prawn rendang is delicious 😋 the salt n pepper 🌶 chilli chips are fab!!! We highly recommended 👌

Started using this place during the Pandemic after finding out about it loved it but over the past 3 weeks I have spent nearly 20 mins each week trying to get an order done over the phone and the line is always busy, while it's good to see they are busy the only way to order is over the phone or going into the shop which is a shame.

had a few deliveries and tonight got told couldn't deliver to us at wkends to busy well that's new as ive had deliveries before at wkends shame won't be going back to them agaim

I would 100% recommend.. Have been using this takeaway for about 8 years now and struggle to find another one better. My favourite dishes are salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper chicken. You need to try these

Heard lots of good reviews of this place but I wasn’t impressed. The char sui was very tasteless and the chips were over cooked and caked too much so weren’t enjoyable. Wouldn’t order again

Not the greatest honey shredded deep fried beef I've had. Thot it was over cooked . Not very warm. Rice was also cold. Only decent thing I got was the chips. Wont be back.

Food is tasty and decently priced. However customer service is shocking! When ordering over the phone all you get is 'Uh-huh'. In desperate need of Re training.

Everytime we order from here something missing or it takes way to long to arrive they don’t have card facilities today never got curry sauce

Person who answered the phone was so rude ended up not ordering. Need to teach people basic customer service. We are the ones who keep places going. Would never try again as was peeved off with way I was spoken to.

Excellent chinese. Good hot food. Only problem doesn't take cards but worth a trip to the cash point.

Having never tried them until recently, I have to say we ordered a large carry out for 12 people, which arrived on time and piping hot. The portions were good and the quality was excellent. Will definitely use them again.
