Panda Oriental in Barnet

Great food, huge portions, good flavour, was late to go pick it up but was still piping hot, over all a great meal. Also, good service, and a lovely guy working there

The proprietor was very friendly and attentive. The food came quickly and was quite fresh and tasty. Very nice dining experience.

Not great low quality ingredients in my opinion and staff member belittled in front of customers training needed in management skills as totally unacceptable behaviour.

What has happened to this place? I have had many delicious plates of dim sum from here. Tonight though was very disappointing. Ordered food here this evening. It was delivered late. Seriously terrible food - overcooked. Dim sum falling apart. Barbecue ribs that are so overcooked they are dry and hard. Impossible to eat so they are going in the bin. Why should I pay for such garbage and how dare they presume to sell it as "food".

Am still waiting for a delivery that was supposed to be here nearly an hour ago at the latest. The restaurant say it’s on the way ( it’s 15 mins up the road), Uber eats can’t help because panda staff are delivering and I can’t cancel or get a refund. Absolutely disgusting.

Surprisingly good takeaway. My elderly mother raves about this restaurant takeaway and despite reading poor reviews went with it as this was her choice. I wasn’t expecting much and was pleasantly surprised on quality, quantity, temperature when delivered and price. Tasty and will order again.

Wrong food delivered called to cancel, no help at all and no refund. Re delivery 1h late I was in a restaurant by then. Called again so so so rude NO REFUND

For 3 times, this chain Thai restaurant is a disaster for “delivering”. Via the home delivery apps or direct they choose to use their own drivers instead of paying Deliveroo, Uber or just eats network. The price one pays is handing the money over to the apps while the restaurant stugfles to handle the order. They lost the order, found it, lost it again, claimed the driver was arriving, when the driver haven’t arrived, then when Deliveroo queried it rhey lied twice to say it’s on its way. 3.5hrs later, the driver goes to a wrong address and refuses to deliver to the right address while they collected the money. Is any other restaurant, this is 3rd time they’re done this to me

Me and couple of my friends enjoyed a lovely dinner here at panda oriental I couldn’t believe the comments they do BOOOMMM CHINESE the prices are well worth it for such quality, will definitely recommend for everyone. Thanks guys for all amazing dishes and friendly service.

Ordered dinner from here tonight. We ordered pork dim sums, they were burnt and had that burnt taste and also were very dry. The shredded chicken was passable. For mains, we ordered beef fried rice, which so completely tasteless. We also ordered Nasi Goreng, which was like prawn fried rice. No fried egg on too (which is the most typical thing of this dish), no chicken, nothing. Absolutely bland. I was so upset I even called them up, they said this is how they make nasi goreng! We also ordered pork hongkong style, which was so sweet it felt like we are eating a dessert. And beef stir fry was above average and the tastiest dish in this otherwise lacklustre takeaway. This place needs to be avoided at all costs, complete waste of money. And for the quality of food they gave, this place is super expensive.

Very happy with the Chinese food from here. Very wholesome food, filling and delicious. I ordered sweet and spicy chicken balls as well as some Thai soup pork with vegetables and Thai prawn spicy rice.

Waited over a hour and a half for food for it then to be cancelled behind my back until I called back to find out, staff are rude don’t deserve anyone’s custom with how they treat customers full stop

I called half an hour before I came by with my order and it was ready when I got there and they gave us a free beer each as it was my birthday. Food was DELICIOUS - bit pricy but worth the money

3 hours now, shop is open and active on delivery services, no food, no contact,unable to cancel, an absolute discrace from a place I used to love

I call them at 19:20 and make an order , ask for mild taste as I don’t like to hot , the lady agreed to do a mild , what I get? extremely hot with full of chillies in. By order the lady told me to wait 40-45 min I waited 1:15h ( in result cold food) , the food comes not completed. I ordered Malaysian Kung po stir fry , come no rice or noodles, just sauce for 8.95 , filet steak Malaysian satay sauce for 9.45 no noodles or rice just sauce as well. When I call she did not mention about that it comes without sides . I don’t have any problem to order that extra if I will know that . The taste is ok.

They didn’t add the coke to my food

I’ve ordered from here a few times and always loved the food and had good service but this time my order was an hour late. I rang the restaurant when it was 20 minute late and they just said ‘what do you expect if we’re busy’ and told me it left the restaurant five minutes ago. Took another 40 minutes to arrive. Delivery driver didn’t even apologise. Even more annoyed because the original waiting time was 45 minutes anyway, so I got my food almost TWO HOURS after I ordered. Won’t be ordering here again.

i do not know how to describe the food as a non oriental and non Chinese , expensive , low quality , bad delivery service , that was not worth it anyway

I'm still waiting for the food- and was just told that they had a lot of orders! They should have not confirmed my order in the first place. I'm a regular customer and I always order from them but today it's been unacceptable.

I got some strange man who was with the delivery man call me to direct the just eat man to the address and asked me to wait outside. I was very unhappy.

Great food unfortunately quite pricey for Chinese take out.

Everything cold rice missing and extremely late

Prawns were over cooked in the Prawn Balls & Special Singapore Noodle. They were hard and inedible. Very disappointing.

The chive dumplings were the best dumplings I had on takeaway for a while but the sauce was way too sweet. Xo sauce is ok. I don't know what t expect but thought it's not this hot and way more fishy than this. Pad kee maow on the other hand, should be taken off the menu. Stick with char kway theow or pad see we, this is clearly not a kee maow. It's not enough. It got no hint of any Holly basil. It got Chinese cabbage in there fcs. I mean is broccoli too expensive as a substitute?

The food was absolutely horrible, when I opened the containers the food smelt really bad! The noodles smelt off, the chicken was dry with very soggy vegetables, the rice was also very dry and old, I feel that I have wasted £19 as it went straight in the bin. My husband was also extremely disappointed and even said what’s that horrible smell when he walked in the kitchen. I will not be ordering from this restaurant ever again

excellent, fresh and tasty food delivered early and piping hot. very good portions.

This is by far the worst meal we have ever eaten. the rice tasted like it was a week old. the sesame prawn toast had no prawns and was unbelievably greasy, the duck was just hard and not edible. The noodles were just disgusting. An over all terrible experience. I would never recommend this place as it can only be described as disgusting.

Worst Dim Sum I’ve ever tasted and the Thai crackers were broken to bits & stale :( Would order from here again. Very disappointing!

The food was delivered earlier but the quality of the food doesn’t deserve the money!! The Pad Thai is not worthing £8.95. It’s very very sweet and it has way too much sauce! The sweet and sour chicken has too much vinegar... paid £18.40 just to throw it... I’ve been eaten better in cheaper places...

Fab Chinese food. Fortune cookies chop sticks. All it needed was the fold top boxes for the whole American film experience Tastes great. Dom sum amazing. Would definitely order again and again!!! 😀

We had some kind of blocks (not sure what it was) in the vegetables container. We could it this strange blocks. We love this plate and it is the first time we had it like this. I hope this was just a bad day of the chef

We have ordered from Panda three times this month since moving to the area, each time they have been absolutely amazing, fresh, tasty ingredients and big portions. Totally our new favourite!

The chicken satay tasted like cardboard the chow mein tasted like licking a charcoal brickquette the prawn sesame toast tasted like it was stroked with the tiniest bit of prawn known to man the and the duck was that dry it was freeze dried in 1834 needless to say give me back my money i have never had a worse chinese

It was disgusting waste of money!!! Duck was all dried and I was able to eat it and I spent £4 on a cheesecake that was basically frozen🤮

Was not the best thai i ate to be honest. Pad thai was alright. Starters were horrible (chicken satay screwers for £8 went straight to the bin not edible at all). First time ordered but also the last one. Too prices for the low quality

The worst experience I have have ever had with this service. We go there on time for the estimated collection only to find them telling us the Just Eat app "wasn't turned on" and we "shouldn't have been able to make orders" and the food had not been cooked. We then had to wait 40 minutes to get our food, which was not even very good. The spring rolls had no veggies in them and the satay chicken was burnt. I want my money back.

The worst customer service I have ever received. I have ordered from this restaurant many many times and the one time I wish to cancel my order due to unforeseen circumstances, the staff member is outrageously disrespectful and rude on the phone using despicable language. Never ordering again, I’m disgusted!

Malaysian Kung Po Stir Fry, A. Chicken was too sour, all I could taste was ginger. The pieces were too big and not chewable. And pad kee Mao barely had any noodles. Very disappointed!!!

The food wasn’t quite as good as we were expecting. The colours seemed a bit lurid and not as natural as another Chinese we usually order from. Good amount of prawn crackers though.

Fresh, tasty and quality food - this will be my "go to" for Thai takeaway going forward. It arrived 15 minutes early though so it was lucky I had just got home in time.

Stay away from this restaurant. They messed up our order. They went on numerous times (At least three) to disgusting language. Which included the F Word multiple times. This was apparently the owner. Most worryingly , he (The owner) said,”we know where you live. Just be careful”

Im a regular costumer and food was really good , but today Im a bit disappointed I ordered Singapore noodles as always ( the only food I like ) and the restaurant decide to swap for Singapore rice ( it was really good by the way!) but I like noodles not rice .. next time please let me know and we avoid disappointments

The prawn wontons inside the soup were incredible, the best we've tasted in a long time.

Food was salty, flavourless,dry and not at all what I expected as I've heard good reviews only thing that was nice was the prawn dim sum. I will never order from here again. Not worth the money at all poor quality food.

Delivery was on time. The Red Thai curry was very nice, but the coconut rice was a little too sweet for my liking. I would order plain or jasmine rice next time

Our order included fried crispy noodles - this was delivered as hard as straight from the box, and the crispy shredded Szechuan beef didn't taste or had any beef whatsoever! Panda Oriental wouldn't talk to us but JustEat were courteous and resolved our compliant.

the majority of the food was really good with the exception of the chicken fried sweet and sour balls that were massively over cooked and inedible.

I’m a regular customer, normally their food very good but yesterday total let down. Rice was over cooked very big chunks of pepper and onions. Very very small potions of soft shell crab. Don’t think will be ordering again if I don’t get Some sort of money back. Disappointed

ordered a vegetarian dish and they ended up putting chicken in the dish. Thai green curry was more water rather than a nice sauce.

I ordered pad thai with beef and extra egg an d asked them to use chow mein noodles. It arrived on time but no egg. Phoned restaurant to explain and the man began to argue saying there was egg in it as he went to kitchen to check. Told him not to argue with customers and he should listen at which point he said sorry mate what you want to say. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

I think they mixed up my order. I ordered something and they gave me something else and I didn't like it that much. Maybe just pay more attention at the orders.

Great crispy duck, but other dishes had a lot of sugar so we only got through half a plate. Coconut rice was practically solid and tasted of sugar rather than coconut. Would order again for duck, but probably not anything else. Sorry!

Food was ok, dim sum lovely and fresh, so was the jasmin rice, the rest so so. All the meats were dry, even though in sauce. Pork tough like old leather boot. I left a note for the restaurant to call me when delivery driver outside. Well, he bangs on the door and upsets my neighbours, argument ready made. I call the restaurant to complain, I get told a load of excuses and that I'm not a good customer and I shouldn't order from them again. I wouldn't if you paid me, with that customer service!

You will regret it. Avoid at all costs, do not order at all.
