China Palace in Barnet

Food is extremely bad. This is not chinese at all. The singaporean rice is an indian rice full of tumeric or curry. The rice has something like spam inside. Really not pleasant to eat. I would not recommend if you want chinese.

Food was mainly nice but weirdly different. The bean curd was “deep fried” but it was completely dry as if it had been air fried a bit too long it was not as bad as it looked and was an interesting texture, actually tasted good. The prawns were breaded and fried, which was different but they were ok. All in all wouldn’t recommend but this was very different from last time we had food from there so maybe a glitch.

I had to buy other food because I thought it would never arrive. After more than 1 hour and half from the scheduled delivery time, when the Oder food had already arrived, it finally arrived.

order not tracked,no updates. food arrived with most of the wet content in plastic carrier bag. driver blamed bad packaging ,but containers were clearly squashed. driver claimed not his fault continued to blame on packaging. couldn't refuse delivery as not his fault. driver departed. I was left with bag dripping contents. will NOT order from here again.

Normally it’s very good. This time it wasn’t. Duck was over cooked and the crispy shredded beef had no beef in it. Also got wrong items delivered.

Possibly the worst Chinese food I have eaten. Everything tasted cooked from frozen the meats. Meat was chewy hard. Will not be ordering again.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Horrible customer service and rude staff who ignore any questions you may have. I ordered through the app and they gave 0 updates when the order was running late. I requested to not ring the doorbell and they proceed to ring it then the driver rudely walks off when I ask if that request was not on the app. My iced drinks are obviously melted because the order is so late, even after I called to ensure the drinks would not melt due to the lateness.

Food is really good but the lid on the sweet and sour wasn't closed and spilt in the bag

Normally really good, but the quarter of duck had no meat on it, just fat , enough for about 2 pancakes only.

Some of the dishes were quite oily. Rest was very nice.

Well I’m glad I ordered sauce on the side. Crispy beef was so dry!! Sesame prawn toast lacked prawns and no dipping sauce. Beef black pepper sauce, chewy meat and lacked pepper. Bland and tasteless. Chips? Awful Used to order from here years ago and thought for a change I’d try again. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Shame. Maybe you’re more about the bubble teas now. Won’t be ordering again, but then you probably don’t care!

I order fried rice, and all I got was white bland rice with slices of chicken, pieces of beef and for the house special, mixture of prawns, chicken and beef. the whole food was bland, tasteless no single color or flavour. am sorry but never again am I ordering from this place. beyond disappointing.

Waited longer than usual and the app showed as delivered when it hadn’t been so had to call and chase but worth waiting for.

Picked up an order. Ordered 1/4 duck, all I received was a dry leg of duck and pancakes. No sauce or vegetables. Altogether, expensive for poor quality food

Horiffic food. The "stir fried fish" is NOT stir fried. It's deep fried batter coated fish in a soy and water sauce. Very soggy. Not real Chinese food.

Burnt old spring rolls ,The chicking and vegtable thing you get in the set menu was like mushy dishwater the Crispy fried beef was just sticky bits of batter all stuck together and hard as rock ,The king prawns in the Prawn set menu was covered in some sort of Gloop , I could go on but basically swerve the place 2/10.

I order bubble tea here very often, it is delicious. The good thing about this place is that it has big, chewy tapioca and you can get hot or cold bubble tea. I prefer the hot bubble tea. However, sometimes the tapioca at the bottom isn't chewy, and the wait time is around 10 minutes (I shop at other places while the bubble tea is preparing). It is also a very small shop so it gets crowded very easily.

The food was ready for collection very quickly, however the quality of the food was poor. Most of the sweet and and spur chicken pieces were unable to be eaten. Ans there was a small amount of beef in the beef dish 80% beansprouts. I would not order from here again sadly.

Best value around and really tasty, good portions and staff are lovely. I've been using this company for nearly 6 years and they quality has got much better over the past few years .

This place is my favorite. Best Chinese in edgware! Never disappoints.

Black bean sauce was watery. Honey for ribs had poured in bag so ribs were terrible.

I would avoid this restaurant at all cost I ordered a special fried rice and the prawns smell fishy and off and the chicken was very dry also my chips with very greasy and like they was reheated and my spring roll was burned like it was also reheated and it was sopen in Greece I think the environmental health should give this restaurant a visit I didn't even want to give it one star 🤢🤢🤮🤮

Was told the food had left before 7.30pm. Called again at 8pm and was told the food had just left. Food was lovely and piping hot, so that tells me it left later than I was told. Love the food from this restaurant, but not happy this time. I will still use them though.

When I called China Palace to ask how much longer the food would be ,a very rude lady told me it would arrive when it arrived and hung up the phone on me

Awful food...chicken dry and no taste...chicken was in curry sauce...that was mine 1st and the last time! Noodles cold and mixed with everything (chicken, duck,prawns)🤮🤢 NO ! THANKS Feels like chicken was like frozen nuggets with sauce on top...Fish same, actually no fish inside ...everything dried out inside....spend 50£...

The rice was burnt, the pancakes were stale and burnt. I had to call up twice because I placed my order at 6.25 and it didn’t come until 8.10! Quality and service was disgusting. Will not be ordering from here ever again.

Boba is practically 99% water I don’t understand why ppl have a boba business if they aren’t gonna make the boba properly …

I was told after I’d placed the order that it would up to one hour delivery time which then got extended to one and a half hours. I rang the restaurant who seemed uninterested that I’d waited so long. Just told me they’re busy!! The food when it arrived was not good. No apology from this restaurant and I was still charged for delivery and service. I won’t order from them again.

Food was delivered on time which is great, but the update to say "its on its way" was clearly done to early. As it was updated half an hour before my food arrived. Not a big deal, wish you could track the order when it's with the delivery person

The only time I've ever had to call and find out where my order was as it said it was delivered but I was left noodleless, to find out the driver had taken it to the completely wrong place. I hope whoever accepted it had a nice meal tho. Phoned the restaurant and they were gracious and courteous and remade and resent the order

Very happy with my order food hot and very tasty.

We love China palace ,we have used them many times. They remember that we need items removed and call us back if we have forgotten to add a note to make sure if we still need it removed. Food quality is good and always very hot. Staff are friendly on the phone ,very polite even under pressure . Reasonable prices also .

Waited an hour and 20 minutes and wasted £50 on a awful meal. My family managed a few mouthfuls before admitting defeat. Really over priced for the food you recieve. Small portions and the egg fried rice tasted like boiled rice with a couple snippets if eggs, the chicken fried rice contained roughly 6 tiny strips of processed chicken as was the chicken in the black bean sauce. The Kung po king prawn was just an absolute soggy mess. The prawn toast were oily and tasteless. The crispy duck was OK but comes only with 6 pancakes. Overall, I wish I read the reviews first before ordering, gutted as this was a £50 bad experience that I won't be repeating again.

The food was really good as always and the delivery time was fab. The only thing I wasn’t as impressed with was the milk tea and boba. It was okay but not much taste to the tea- I’ve definitely had better but it wasn’t bad.

The duck and rice wasn’t very nice. Was very dry compared to other places that do the same dish with sauce. The duck was like rubber and not edible. The banana fritters were good but it was too much. You are given 2 bananas in one portion. You generally only eat one banana at a time. Also the coke was not cold. I didn’t order a drink to have it 2 hours after my food, I wanted the drink with my food. The drinks should not be served if not cold.

Food arrived an hour and 20 mins early, phoned restaurant, extremely rude woman answered phone, made out it was my fault, more worried about food returned, said couldn't promise they could redeliver!! Will never order from this place again, order at your own peril.
