I absolutely love this place, it is just as well we don't live within walking distance really! Buzzy ambiance, excellent tasty food but not cheap. Great prawns, lambchops, steak. Go in a group of 4+ so that you can try everything.

Visited here for the 4th time Friday and it is without a doubt the best restaurant in Oxted, food never disappoints and it’s maybe some of the best tapas I’ve ever had.

Lovely food but very expensive for what you actually get. I felt like I needed to go elsewhere for food afterwards as I was still hungry. Wine was ridiculously expensive, and I don’t think I’ve ever paid over £7 for some bread. Quite disappointed.

The friendly delightful restaurant is super efficiently run by the affable Sergio, a Galician chef creator of fine food. delicious Tortilla that melts in the mouth Argentinian prawns sauteed in garlic fillets of seabass, marinated sardines. Iberico Jamon sometimes short ribs of beef or lamb shanks, excellent Manchego. A good selection of wines and cocktails. you can sit at the bar or indoor or outdoor tables. best to nook as it can get very busy.

Went to Pan & Vino on Saturday 4th May. Had an 8:15pm booking. Walking in, it was immediately noticeable how busy it was. We were told that they were running a little bit late, but wouldn't be long at all. Managed to find a place at the bar to stand to get some drinks and were encouraged to order some light bites at the bar, which we did, just some bread and oil. Lots of bread came (great), but not much oil and vinegar. Asked for some more, expecting them to just re-fill it. Nope, that got added to the bill which is/was frankly ridiculous, especially given the wait time we had. Finally sat down at the table at 8:45pm, 30 mins after our reservation. We quickly ordered, as were starving at this time, and to be fair, the initial dishes came quickly. And the highlight was the food - very very good, although be warned, it is pricey! £25 for a pork dish, £30 quid for a beef dish. This is where the night started to sour. Roughly around 9:15pm, we decided to get a few more bites just to finish off our evening, only 3 plates, 2 veg, 1 chorizo. After about 30 mins, no food, and we check in (yeah, it's coming, won't be long). After 40 mins, we were told the asparagus was no longer available (frustrating), and after just under an hour, the dishes we actually ordered finally came. Now, they did bring some additional dishes to make up for it, but honestly, I wasn't fussed at this point, I just wanted to go home. I get it, restaurants are busy on a Saturday night and the excuse was that the kitchen had been back to back all night. Not much of an reason in my book. Given how good the food was, my recommendation to the owner is be better with your bookings and be honest with your customers. Given the option to sit at the bar and order some light bites, clearly puts the kitchen under pressure as you're going to have walk ins. Additionally, explain to the earlier bookings that they have to give up the table by a certain time. And if the kitchen is that busy, when customers order more, be honest with them - "just FYI, kitchen is backed up, food is going to be 45 mins at least". At least then we've got the choice of wanting to order more or not. Overall, 2 stars as the food was great, but the wait time, the service, and the charge for little things like some extra oil and vinegar to your customers who are already waiting, just left a bad taste in my mouth. Won't be going again.

Food has been amazing, we chose 4 dishes and left feeling extremely satisfied and full. The cod was incredibly tasty and so were the croquettes. Our favourite dish was on the special menu-grilled scallops, they were not over powering and tasted sublime. The lychee martini was also a huge thumbs up. We can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. We were dubious of the cost due to previous reviews but we think £123 for 4 incredibly flavoursome dishes plus 4 cocktails for the 2 of us has been perfectly reasonable. Thank you.

We have been meaning to visit this place for a while since the team moved from La Botija in Warlingham. It is very different and much smaller venue than the Warlingham restaurant but doesn’t lack for anything. We went on a Friday night so the bar was quite busy but not too packed which created a nice atmosphere. Service – We were given a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival and the service was very good throughout the evening. Food – The menu is small but has a good selection of Tapas dishes and would highly recommend the Argentinian Prawns as they were amazing! Venue - I think the best way to describe the restaurant would be a clean and stylish wine bar with a few tables for people to eat some excellent Spanish food with a good atmosphere. Prices – I think the prices of the food, wine and drinks were about what you would expect from this type of venue. We will be back.

Seems to be "it" place in li'l ole Oxted. Authentic Spanish food, wine selection, ambience and prices all fit that billing.

We went here on the off chance early on a Saturday night and they had a table available luckily. Great service from all the staff and wonderful food on offer,as you would expect from Sergio. Definitely going back to try out more of the menu! Not cheap but also not overly expensive, would say a fair price for what you are getting.

Bueno, se ha roto el mito, si hay sitios donde se puede comer comida cien por cien española en Londres, aquí lo he encontrado, en la parte sur de la capital de UK un pequeño restaurante llamado*" Pan & Vino"* pequeño de tamaño 10 mesas 5 metros de barra, y un gran propietario amante del buen comer Gallego como no, de buena sepa buen producto y la elaboración rosando la perfección, buenos caldos de la rioja y ribera del Duero, sin dejar atrás los vinos gallegos, una maravilla. Un bacalao al pilpil de gambas, la lubina en tempura, calabacín a la parrilla con salsa romescu y queso feta aliñado, sin dejar atrás el jamón y embutidos ebericos, y la tabla variada de quesos de la tierra, todo ello bajo un manto de una música 🎵 española creando un ambiente ni el mismo casino de Madrid. Hay q estar para experimentar el momento, un 10 bravo Sergio" es el dueño y chef".

Oh wow, this is different level tapas. Incredible dishes with so much flavour. Service was impeccable, was worth every penny. And right next to Oxted train station, Perfect! Can’t wait to come back.

Stumbled upon what can only be described as a gem of a place. Friendly Spanish hosting from Sergio and his team. The food let's just say phenomenal and outstanding sum it up will be back for sure.

We were recommended this place so tried to book a table. First issue, no phone number. If you want to book in advance, it seems you can only use Instagram. Might work for some, but not for me. To top it off, a message came back confirming the booking and asking for my phone number ! Getting over that hurdle, we arrived. The food was actually ok, but it arrived dish by dish, really spaced out and randomly. I realise this is Tapas, but the pace was too slow and we felt like we were being rationed. They also missed a dish but tried to charge. We really wanted it to be good - we love Tapas and went by recommendation. However, I just don’t get it. If anyone can tell me what I’m missing, I’ll happily listen!

Love this place. Owner is great and food is based on one of my favourite regions. The Octopus was lovely and charred (and huge) some of the best I’ve had and the courgette flower is always a winner.

We had a great night here. The food was delicious and a good selection of cocktails.

Visited last Friday for the first (and last) time! Took my wife and daughter expecting a relaxing evening of eating, drinking and chatting. How wrong we were! It seems the only thing this mob is interested in is getting you fed and out of the door as fast as is humanly possible. We sat for our reservation at 8pm. By 8:45 we were presented the bill, without asking for it, as they wanted to move people from the bar to our table. It's not meant to be fast food but that's how it feels here. It's a very limited menu, so the food should be fantastic. It isn't. It's ok. Nothing more! Dishes are pretty small for the (high) price. And they deliver them just as fast as they possibly can. Don't expect to have time to sample each dish before the next one arrives. If they can cook them fast enough, they will be in front of you no matter how much progress has been made with your other dishes. It's not relaxing, it's not chilled, it's not the culinary experience it should be, it's overpriced and the management objective to get you out the door is unwelcoming. I'll not be returning. If you're considering a visit, don't! There are plenty of much better, more welcoming, better value, more enjoyable, restaurants in Oxted. And plenty of better Tapas restaurants within a reasonable distance! A "Hola" on entering doesn't make for a Spanish experience, believe me!

Great atmosphere to enjoy while you sit at the bar and wait for a table or just enjoy eating the fantastic food at the bar in true Tapas style. Great selection of wines too, just ask about the choices not on the wine list.

Superb Spanish restaurant. The food is excellent. The staff are great and the way the kitchen works is poetry in motion. Don't miss eating here.

My favourite local restaurant. 10/10 atmosphere (especially at the weekend) and amazing tapas food. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a good night out without going all the way into london.

Me and my partner went here with high expectations but were very disappointed. Most of our dishes were served cold. The steak with chimichurri was the the dish I was looking forward to most, but it was served on a cold plate. So whilst the meat itself was warm it went cold very quick, simple mistakes. This then brings me to the price. Portion size I understand is subjective but £35 each for 2 mains and 1 starter, all the same size was a rip off. At most, if these dishes were served well it was a £10 - £20 meal max.

We've been to Pan y Vino about three times now and always had a fantastic time. The cocktails are great, staff friendly and although often there's a few things run out of the menu, the food is always second to none. It's exactly what Oxted high street needs and well worth a visit. In the summer everyone sits outside and you feel like you're on holiday. The beer on tap Inedit is worth visiting to drink alone! Sergio is the owner and he remembers us every time we go so we always feel special and welcomed.

The food was amazing as well as the treat from the waiters and waitresses, it’s the perfect place to get to know a bit of spanish food and spend a great time.

I lived in Spain for many years and I can honestly say this is some of the best tapas I have ever eaten. I am vegetarian and there was plenty to choose from. My husband is a meat eater and real foodie and he loved the meat dishes and the vegetarian dishes equally. Tapas dishes can be very repetitive but we ate dishes that we have never eaten such as champinones cooked in cider and aubergine with sugar cane honey. The tortilla was superb. The chefs are Spanish which you don’t always find, the owner a delight and the staff friendly and attentive. Seriously, go and enjoy some superb authentic food. Would give 10 stars if we had the option.

My daughter had a wonderful wedding reception here. Plenty of variety of food, very fresh. Pleasant and helpful staff..

The owner very kindly sorted us a table despite not booking on a Friday evening. It took half an hour to get the table but was fine as we went to get a drink. Sat outside with the dog, food was great. Didn't take to long to arrive too Will go again

Perhaps I went on a bad day. The barman didnt have a clue. Ordered 3 tapas dishes. After half hour was informened didnt have one. after a further 10 mins was informened didnt have another one. Didnt know what cider was and didnt know what bottled beer he sold. The food we did get was average at best. Nice decor. But probably first and last time for me.

The head chef Gavi and his team create mouth-watering dishes and Sergio is always the perfect host in their beautiful setting. Thank you for always meeting my expectations.

We turned up at 8pm for a booking made 2 weeks prior. I had booked a table for 7 people but unfortunately 3 of our party couldn’t attend last minute, the owner was rightfully disappointed and slightly abrupt. We were told to sit at the bar for a drink to wait for a table. There was no need to have booked because a table wasn’t ready for half an hour. However, once seated the service really improved. It’s nice to go to a tapas restaurant and the staff to say you don’t need to order so much. They told us we could start with a few dishes and order more if needed. We had a great selection, all fresh, hot and delicious. Fab cocktails. Staff were attentive and vegan friendly options too. Would definitely recommend but lost a star due to not having a table ready for us.

Really enjoyed our visit to Pan & Vino, food and service are excellent. A real local gem of a restaurant and it has already become a firm favourite.

Wow the food and atmosphere was the best i have experienced

I’m so impressed! Had a lovely meal the Croquetas were to die for. Actually everything I ate was delicious baby quid, chicken in Spanish spices and the lightly fried aubergine and the fresh Tortilla. Georgie my server was so helpful suggesting wine and dishes. It’s a YES from me.

Tried Pan & Vino for the first time. On entering the owner greeted us quite abruptly. It was busy, he might have been a bit stressed! We spoke later and he warmed up a bit. The food was good, very tasty! If anything it was a little sauce heavy. I'm used to patatas braves crisper but it was a nice flavour. The fresh anchovies were particularly good. The staff in general were friendly and attentive. There were only two desserts and we shared a lovely cheesecake. It was pricy and rushed but on the whole it was a nice meal.

Tuesday’s! No one likes Tuesdays, there’s no songs based on Tuesday! But now I love Tuesday as it’s the first time I went to Pan & Vino, great staff and service, wonderful food. On our walk there we met friends and neighbours asking what it was like. Well everyone it’s lovely, go, enjoy, we did and will again.

Fabulous selection of tapas and absolutely HUGE portions for a tapas dish. All really tasty. At busy times you may have to wait at the bar for a table, as you can’t book… but not for long. Manager tried hard to accommodate larger groups. It may mean you have to shuffle along a table or two…but that’s not a real problem for most decent people. Teething problems are with the waiting staff, who are clearly quite inexperienced. Overall a lovely experience.

I cannot recommend Pan & Vino enough. The food was speedily served with a smile and beautifully presented too. Everything we ate was full of flavour, absolutely delicious. My personal faves from the menu were the Argentinian steak, the prawns and the mushrooms. I must make a special mention about the deserts though cos I would wager that these are "the best" desserts served in Oxted at the moment. The decor is lovely in addition to the ambient chillout soundtrack playing in the background, it all made for a great impromptu meal out. The prices are fair for Oxted, the drinks looked lovely (I didn't partake, as I drove...but I will definitely be going back to try) You must try this place...I highly doubt you will be disappointed.
