Was a bit hesitant from previous reviews, food was great no complaints.

Food was ok not the best I've had

Called in for a takeaway, very friendly welcome from staff, absolutely superb Chicken Curry and boiled rice, Sesame Prawn toast,really good portions.

The worst chinese takeaway ever!!! Fried rice was (as said before) microwaved boiled rice with a spoonful of egg stirred in - rubbery & disgusting. Young chow fried rice tasteless. Curry sauce was powder mix with water. Too far to return as we were on holiday. Do not waste your money!

Food just ok 6 out of 10 wouldn't rush back . Unfortunately can't recommend & won't be going back.

Food was better than some in the area. Mixed food some of the curries were very greasy.

Food was a revelation as the takeaway looked very basic, but food quality was really high.

Really fast service, food was just as good as at home but the sauces were quite odd, being gloopy transparent and almost tasteless. Also whilst in the shop there were kids running through the resturant and a strange waiting area cornered off by a table. Would buy again though.

Awful is being polite, more went in the bin than was eaten, we got a set meal A for 2, the only dish that was just ok was the spring rolls, which are probably bought in and then deep fried, don't waste your money.

This is most definitely the worst take away of any food type I have ever had the misfortune to pour out onto a plate. Please don’t even try it was a total terrible waste of money as it wasn’t even on the cheap side. Stay away go and get a pot noodle instead even that would be far better and I think everyone would agree that’s saying something.

Lovely meal first time I've used them will be using again soon.

Beautiful food from here last night, freshly cooked, didn't take long and the beef and mushrooms were to die for, Will be back.

Worst take away ever, food tasted burnt, it was grim, wanted to phone and complain but there's a young lady at the front desk, didn't want to cause her any distress. Cans of Coca-Cola tasted of vicks vapour rub and were not from the uk, avoid this place at all costs, go and buy a chow mein pot noodle, cheaper and tastier!! Read one review, "YUM". Also owners response, "fried dog excrement". New 2 star food hygiene rating pretty much shows what they are serving up, probably much more than canine cr@p!!

Wrong item given to us despite assistant repeating order pre payment. Unable to return as had made a 14 mile round trip to get a takeaway. Very disappointing.

Extremely disappointed, we ordered a Chinese whilst on Holiday. The reviews were mixed so thought we’d give it a go. The rice was advertised on the menu as “fried rice”, clearly wasn’t fried more like microwaved. The chicken balls and spring rolls are too small, making it poor value for money. The only nice thing was the Honey Style Shredded Beef which had a lovely glazing. My dog wouldn’t even eat this food! In conclusion I’d rather buy a Tesco microwaveable Chinese meal, avoid this establishment.

The worst Chinese I've ever tasted. Watery ,runny tasteless chicken curry with processed chicken . A complete waste of money, Just like a watered downed pot noodle.Vile! definitely won't recommend,very disappointing .

Really good food, tried while on holiday in sea

Omg I walked in thought dirty as I looked at skirting boards and door what looked like to kitchen dirty 😳, food was white boiled rice mush not as I hv when I buy a Cantonese fried rice every where else ,shocking food in the bin it goes Avoid

BabsP, 26 February 2023 Doesn’t even deserve a rating - worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had! Ordered egg-fried rice and chicken-fried rice. The rice was white-steamed and contained minuscule bits of egg and shoelace-thin strips of chicken respectively. The Satay sauce was bland and obviously the peanut-based one. Will give one star for the prawn crackers, although 50p a bag dearer than our locals for about half the quantity. First and last visit. Avoid at all costs and treat yourself to a tin of baked beans from Costcutter…….lot more taste!

The beef in the curry had a bad taste to it and wasn't tender or in the beef chow mein the sauce in the Cantonese style was really runny and tasted horrible for the cost of £55 didn't enjoy this meal at all very sorry will not be returning IV had better curries from a supermarket

Not bad, I'm not a fan of chinese food, always so samey. I didn't get any free prawn crackers tho

Yum! Really enjoyed our food!! Read reviews before and as you find with most things, there are always some better than others, but can confirm we had a delicious meal. Would recommend.

Had a takeaway whilst staying in our Motorhome at Camping On The Farm. Food was fabulous and still warm after the walk back to the van, probably the nicest Chinese we have had in a while 10/10

Pancake roll a good test for a takeaway. Really crispy .vegetables still crunchy. Pleasantly surprised could be kiss of death but try it .we enjoyed.

Visited here while on holiday in the area, turned up without placing a phone order and the order was ready within 20 mins. Very fast and efficient service. Food was nice, very generous portions.

Decent enough food, plenty of it for the price

On a visit to the region last Friday, I went here to order a takeaway to take back to my remote holiday cottage some miles away. Bad enough having to wait 30 mins for the order, but to then get it back to the holiday cottage (a good 20 minute drove away) I find the order completely wrong. The young girl manning the counter seemed out of her depth. Evident by this wrong order. Late at night and did not return with the order to exchange it due to the onerous travelling time involved. Won't visit again.

Pam bydde chi?.. Absolutely disgusting meal.. Unfortunately for us Dani Sang was shut lastnight, lucky for Pam lai, unlucky for us.. £107 wasted.. Best part of our meal was the rice and homemade springrolls we cooked ourselves. Having a big family reunion last night was ruined by this offering from 'Pam Lai'.. Aberaeron deserves a good Chinese takeaway, sort it out! Can't understand how you keep going??

One of the few places that we found in Aberaeron for takeaway vege food that's more than just a vegeburger! And tasty vege food it is, too. We really liked the salted tofu, and everything else was pretty good too, with more than adequate portions. Our only negative: too much liquid in our vege curry. Other than that, no complaints. Go there!

Had too wait a bit because they were busy during dinner rush but the food was absolutely stunning. The fried rice was amazing the service was great too didn’t have enough change and the guy took the order covered it. Amazing experience!!!

We’ve been visiting Aberaeron for years and often pick up a takeaway from here, despite variable reviews we’ve always had a good experience until this week. Awful meal, chicken fried rice was white with hardly any colour, curry sauce container was half full and the sauce was jelly like. Sweet and sour chicken balls were thick greasy batter with tiny pieces of tough chicken. I won’t be going back

Not the best food at all. Shockingly expensive dishes and now they only seem to half fill most of the tubs u buy aswell .I stopped goin here as I found it a serious ripp off

Away for the week in Aberaeron and only close chinease was this one. Good choice as the food was lovely. Had a mixed opinion about trying this place as the reviews were good/bad. We had egg fried rice, chicken curry (no veg) chips, chicken balls and it all tasted great! Got no complaints. Lady said it would be ready in 10 and as soon as we got there it was indeed ready. No complaints overall with the service or food! I would recommend!

Takeaway delivered! Really enjoyed the Malaysian chicken chow mein. Sweet and sour chicken crispy and not greasy. Will be ordering from here again. Update Nov 2021, they are no longer delivering, and the hygiene rating displayed is one. This could be due to staff shortages.

Too busy taking orders to actually give you your food.

Food was good, on this particular Saturday night the wait time was longer than the 1 hour estimate on the phone, closer to 1 hour & 45 minutes.

Good food. On the 3 time of going and driving back home realized they had missed my parts of my order but they made it up to me on the 4th visit..

We were stopping in New Quay down the road and looking for a Chinese to takeaway, the local one didn't answer so we tried here and couldn't fault it. Portion sizes are large and contain plenty of meat in those dishes. Would recommend if in the area.

We were actually told that this restaurant wasn’t the best (although it is the only local Chinese takeaway) but we found the food to be delicious! The chow mein was lovely and soft and the chips were cooked to perfection.

The duck in plum sauce had a lot of pineapple chunks in it. Pineapple in duck sauce might have been more appropriate. Mediocre at best.

Absolutely vile! This is the worse take away I've ever had, the beef curry is tasteless and seems nothing more than a brownish jelly substance that's like eating bland slime. The 3 slices of beef resembled a bit of rotten leather. The egg fried rice was white, mushy and wasn't fried at all. The prawn crackers tasted OK but you get a tiny bag. The best part was the tiny portions so took less room in the bin. To add insult to injury it's also one of the most expensive takeaways. Avoid this dump at all costs

Best Chinese we have had since Singapore. The food was cooked perfectly, waiting time was 15 minutes and the prices are very reasonable. Portion sizes were plenty. We will definitely be a regular customer. Highly recommended

Really disappointed with the quality of the food on our visit 3/4/21. Mixed hor d’oeuvres was sadly lacking in quantity and quality. Special fried rice not that special and lacked in flavour and very watery. Duck in plum sauce was dominated my large amounts of pineapple and very strong vinegar smell. Beef in ginger and spring onion, had plenty of spring onion, but very little ginger or beef. Food was ready promptly and prawn crackers offered for free. Overall: overpriced for the quality of the food. Yet that is to be expected unfortunately for an eatery in a prime tourist area. Disappointed after hearing positive things. Hopefully this is a one off and scope for improvement is taken on board

Excellent take away. Food fresh, hot and delicious. The take away was very busy because it is so popular, so I recommend booking in advance. We phoned an hour ahead, and it was ready exactly on time. Excellent service and fair price.

£7.20 for a chow mein and I ask for chillies to be put in and the cheap catering shack squirted a tube of chilli sauce in it, sort it out PAM LIES.

Worst Chinese food ever tasted . Chow mien microwaved congealed. Spent £30 never give these £ again . Prawn toast rock hard . Never never eat here look and run . Should be prosecuted for false advertising , claiming to be chinese .

Absolutely waste of money and vile food beef didn't taste like beef funny taste chow main tasted burnt chips under cooked I spent £35 and should have just set fire to my money would not recommend anyone to use this place

In my opinion the best Chinese takeaway around.

Very nice food piping hot and lots of it, I just kept finding more lovely chicken in my garlic chicken dish same with the chicken and sweetcorn soup my wife loved her king prawns. So glad we tried it whilst on holiday. Defiantly recommend Pam Lai.
