We ate twice in the Palmyra while staying at the Penta Hotel nearby. On both occasions it was superb and the waitresses lovely and friendly. Note that no alcohol is served and it’s cash only. I had two starters as my meal, a hot one (prawns) and a cold one (fatoush I think), beautiful tasty, healthy food!

Fabulous food, very reasonable prices and friendly service - what more to say? We popped in for late lunch as were staying over the road at the Penta. Didn’t fancy the food there so ventured out. So glad we did had a collection of starters “tapas” style and can recommend great Lebanese Mint lemonade,

Last time I stayed at the hotel nearby, I had 3 takeaways from here. They were excellent; but I couldn't find a page to review them, as they were newly open. This time, regrettably, I had only one takeaway from Palmyra, but it was stellar again. There are many places to score fine takeaways in this part of town; but I recommend never to overlook Palmyra. It's a gem, in my opinion. The staff here are always friendly, and they're clearly proud of their food. This time the boss man (I think he was) chatted to me as I waited while they cooked my order. A smart, interesting gentleman. He assured me standards have not dropped here over time, as in my experience they can do with many places that start off well and then lose momentum and get lazy. They cook the food before your eyes, and everything's done fresh. Here you'll never be served that tasteless, generic "kebab meat" which spends its day being warmed up and slapped about. The Palmyra chefs use good-quality meat and ingredients every time. I came away with a lovely meal of chopped kebabs, salad, and tasty rice. Generous portions--too much, which is better that than too little. Glad to be able give them a shout out at last. Much love to Palmyra Lebanese Cuisine.

This place was introduced to us by our middle easten friends and they say it is the go to place - so recommendations do not come higher. And we were not disappointed. The food is very very good. The portions were generous and the service was perfect. Our waitress was extremely helpful ( and charming) and advised us not to over order ( rare in my experience) and helped in us deciding what to have. The place has more of a cafe feel rather than restuarant and limited number of staff, so dont be surprised if you have to wait. The kitchen staff as on the go all the time due to the high number of take away orders. Plenty of options for vegetarians. Note that this place does not serve alcohol. Go for the mint tea- they willkeep refilling as many times as you like. This place is on to a winner. I hope that keep it like it is. We will be back there soon.

We (4 of us) ended up here by ‘accident’, and what a fortunate ‘accident’ it was! The service was outstanding!!!!! The food was so, so tasty and the portions were huge. It’s not a fine dining experience but you will eat very well, experience great service and not break the bank. Overall outstanding value for money! Will most definitely return.

I have an intolerance so I cannot eat certain foods. As a result I put in special requests that I need a certain dish. They had no idea what I was talking about, didn't want to know and refused to correct my order. Please clue up on allergies and intolerances, especially as you're serving food and make sure people get what they ordered, if you make a mistake rectify it. Otherwise the food is delicious.

The shop is little bigger than a kiosk; but it's good to have a proper shawarma joint this side of the town centre. I had a lovely chat with the owner while he compiled my chicken wrap. A Syrian hims

Amazing meal. We didn’t book, just called in on a Saturday day night. Had starters, mains and a beer and only £60 with a tip! Bargain. Staff were really friendly, restaurant is spotless and service

Not a bad food like for a chain restaurant. Aperol Spritz for £11 should be at least two times bigger. Lots of dust on decorations unfortunately…
