Pagoda Chinese Takeaway in Sunderland

They lucky to get 1 star ffs... just received last night and me the wife and 2 kids been uo all night being violently sick...never in the world these should be serving food.. never again I be ordering from these...

I telephoned and asked if they sold the half chicken in gravy and mushroom, she said yes I asked her to check she said half chicken ,chips and gravy I said that would be fine if it’s half a chicken, she double checked with the cook and said yes. I received 1/4 chicken cooked very dry and hard 2 large carton of gravy and 2 small cartons of gravy 😡. I contacted Pagoda immediately on delivery of my order, all I got was aw we only do 1/4 I said I asked you 3 times if it half and each time you said yes, not once did they apologise or offer discount if my next order. The chicken as I said was to dry and hard and the chips had no potato in side as they were cooked far too long to, Disgusting customer service 😡

Order took 2 hours, was missing items then they resent with the wrong order. Now called Golden Hour under new management, was so much better when it was Pagoda. Don't bother, you will be dissapointed

Food lovely communication was a nightmare by phone+in person was going to write it down would of been quicker

Only ever order king prawn balls in batter. Delicious, but Dont like anything else from here. Order been wrong twice in the time I have ordered from here.

Absolutely disgusting. Chicken in curry was not cooked at all. Got pictures of it and the plate of food is being handed over to authorities to sort out. They will cause food poisoning and need to be closed down

Awful, the beef and chicken in both dishes i ordered was like jelly, very disappointed 😞

Not very good first time and last got chicken curry wasnt proper chicken was jellified and rubbery same with the beef processed.if it says meat so it should be meat.not a happy with it at all.felt ripped off.

Food not brilliant ,missing dish on delivery then had to wait 65 min to deliver missing items, extremely disappointed there are better ones in the area also staff not helpful.

Waited almost 2 hours and the food was stone cold..rang the takeaway and all i had from the chinese woman on the phone was...yes yes yes..she agreed to leave the food for free because of the wait but then told the driver to bring the food back to her..disguting service and would highly recommend to not use this 'mickey mouse' company....terrible

New owners and not very nice curry, ordered once & cancelled after waiting 1 & a half hrs for delivery, when rang it hadn't even left the shop so said forget it grrr😣

Only had one Chinese from here since it got taken over and never again. Wish the old owners still had it. I now travel to either hendon or hylton rd

Wrong order taken and the meals were not of a high standard. Usually quite good but tonight was absolutely rubbish Not sure what meat they are using but I have kept samples to go to environmental health

Excellent Chinese food and lovely staff. The best takeaway in Sunderland by far, good prices too. Thanks for a delicious hot and sour soup and amazing ginger and spring onion house special. The veggie option was great too. Keep it up, we will be back.

I've been here twice now and it's definitely my new favourite Chinese takeaway. The staff are lovely, the service is quick and the food is delicious.
