KFC Pennywell - Chester Road in Sunderland

It is ment to be fast food but it took 45 minute to get served in the drive through

Just been through the drive thru and paid £11.89 for what was meant to be a boneless banquet for one. Drove round waiting and nobody opened the window to say it won't be long or even acknowledge I was there. They then gave me completely the wrong order. Which never noticed till I got home. This is why she never gave me a receipt so I can't complain properly! Paid £11.89 for a tango, fries and gravy absolute disgrace!

Great friendly staff food is OK however they need some serious kaizen in their kitchen. The flow of food is slow so sometimes it takes a while for them to make a bag and ship the food to the customers. You need to increase this speed to become more efficient with orders. Also kfc shuts way too early on the way back from work after a late shift and you fancy chicken 🐔 you have to go to macys? 😊 👍 Still nice and I would go again however not if I was in a rush. Update : on this view above we were the only ones in the que and had to wait 15 minutes for a chicken burger today. There is 5 people working in there what are you doing seriously .... You need to change and quickly your speed is super slow! drive through: to also be parked in a bay when there is no que? My mind is blown how slow this one is we timed the food 15 minutes for one meal. It's quicker going anywhere else. Always leave here feel like it's missing something like it's too mechanical not enough kaizen at all. Please sort it out I love kfc but feel like this place needs some serious changes

Asked for plain chips not spicy and even the chicken was spicy which should have been plain

I am appalled at this , I have received only some of my order . There was no drinks and one meal was missing I will never be ordering here again I am now waiting here starving and have nothing to eat because one of my meals haven’t been sent out . Also , we have waited over a hour for this food .Please next time pay more attention many thanks .

missing part of the order, the chicken burger was dry and bun was stale spent over 30 pound for 2 meals that went in the bin.

Driver stopped at shop for atleast 10 minutes and then sat out front of it for another 5, from what it looked like from the trackers. Driver then came to my house and I heard him looking through a box I have on my porch for packages/food deliveries. Food was lukewarm warm at best.

We were disgusted with the quality of our order. We requested no wings and were delivered 4. It was supposed to be a 10 piece bargain bucket and it had 9 pieces in. It was over cooked and clearly had been stood for too long. Very disappointing. We attempted to contact the store twice and despite it ringing for nearly 5 minutes each time, we were cut off both times. It was the first time we have ordered from the pennywell restaurant, but we never will ever order from there ever again!! Poor!!!

I literally watched the driver go 15 minutes in the opposite direction then make their way back to correct address. So food is stone cold. we live 5 minutes from the restaurant it would of been faster to walk there and collect myself.

On the day of our visit, Sunday 12:45, it didn't seem busy but it took over 15 minutes between placing the order and getting the food.

can't fault delivery or quality of food, but only half the order was delivered had to drive through and pick up what was missing

I have not get my order and now it is delivered? Is this how cheap you are? I will not trust you anymore.

Order never comes correct ! Last week was coleslaw missing today it’s 4x fries and a large popcorn chicken missing it’s an absolute joke especially when I asked that you’s double check the order £37 for 12 pieces of chicken and a Gravy? Terrible service !

Handy KFC with drive thru on the Pennywell industrial estate. Had a ten minute wait in the car park after ordering at the drive thru. That said food was hot and fresh ..

Although the chicken was a bit dry it was fine, however the waiting time for the beans was so long taking…

Absolutely disgusting I spent nearly 50 pound on 10 pieces of chicken. Non of the extras come what I ordered no bbq bites no mini fillets and nor corns this place really isn't worth ordering for they've put all the prices up massively on just eat then they don't give you half of what you pay for and the thing is this is the 3rd time now this has happened I honestly think kfc are scamming people on purpose half of the food missing constantly either that or it's the drivers taking it

Boneless for 1 person X 2. Lots of bits/ends/hard in fries plus one rotten ended - some of worst ever had. Chicken, what there was of it was lovely but more batter than chicken, some of which was almost teeth shatteringly hard. wont be going back there. KFC has gone downhill in recent years

The delivery is great. However, I could not eat the chicken as it is TOO SALTY which is detrimental to my health. I require minimum amount of salt but this salt content of the chicken was too much even for someone with no health challenge. I demand a compensation for this poor service cos I just wasted my money.

Worst kfc franchise in Sunderland. Ran by complete and utter morons. Meant to open at 11am sitting in the drive thru until 11:25 still no order taken and still no tills set up. I hope the owner reads this dates 25/03/24 and sacks the lot of them
