KFC Pennywell - Chester Road in Sunderland

We ordered a couple of hours in advance In the hope it would be made fresh and arrive hot but sadly it didn’t not, the driver phoned me asking me if he was near the right address so I came out side in the pouring rain to see if I could see him, to finally get our food only to be asked for an order number so had to stand there even longer finding it on my phone, and I could here my family inside saying it’s all ready cold which to me is not acceptable paying over £40 for a meal

Food cold and chicken missing again

Foods often not very warm even though pretty much every time you have to wait long enough for them to cook it all fresh.

4 for food as sometimes the chicken can be really salty, as if the coating hasn't been mixed enough. Staff friendly.

was not happy with the chips had to throw them away as to much pepper on them did not get the coleslaw I ordered but everything else was perfect

Missing items, for the second week in a row the previous week i was missing everything except my drinks having to reorder and spend money again, money which i still have not been reimbursed 7 days later

food was exactly what you'd expect from KFC but courier went very bizarre route causing it to be a little late and slightly cold.

Failed to bother looking at the notes on the order and delivered it regardless. also missed some things from the order

it took forever for a driver to be assigned & the time kept changing hence why on time but not 5/5 stars food was spot on though, everything there & hot. some massive hot wings as well which was all i was craving :)

The food has arrived and both the drinks are missing. What’s the point in ordering a meal and paying for it, if you don’t receive the full order. Certainly not happy, I expect it to come correct especially when im spending nearly £50 on it.

It is ment to be fast food but it took 45 minute to get served in the drive through

Just been through the drive thru and paid £11.89 for what was meant to be a boneless banquet for one. Drove round waiting and nobody opened the window to say it won't be long or even acknowledge I was there. They then gave me completely the wrong order. Which never noticed till I got home. This is why she never gave me a receipt so I can't complain properly! Paid £11.89 for a tango, fries and gravy absolute disgrace!

Great friendly staff food is OK however they need some serious kaizen in their kitchen. The flow of food is slow so sometimes it takes a while for them to make a bag and ship the food to the customers. You need to increase this speed to become more efficient with orders. Also kfc shuts way too early on the way back from work after a late shift and you fancy chicken 🐔 you have to go to macys? 😊 👍 Still nice and I would go again however not if I was in a rush. Update : on this view above we were the only ones in the que and had to wait 15 minutes for a chicken burger today. There is 5 people working in there what are you doing seriously .... You need to change and quickly your speed is super slow! drive through: to also be parked in a bay when there is no que? My mind is blown how slow this one is we timed the food 15 minutes for one meal. It's quicker going anywhere else. Always leave here feel like it's missing something like it's too mechanical not enough kaizen at all. Please sort it out I love kfc but feel like this place needs some serious changes

Abysmal service none of the right foods came at all

Ordered a boneless banquet, 3 piece chicken but only got 2. So staff can't even read the order properly!!

I am appalled at this , I have received only some of my order . There was no drinks and one meal was missing I will never be ordering here again I am now waiting here starving and have nothing to eat because one of my meals haven’t been sent out . The delivery driver was very rude and spoke to us in a horrible manor. He was tutting and shaking his head at us because we put the wrong telephone number down by accident. Horrible man

Not only are the staff rude and lazy, they also cannot cook the food properly. Pennywell by name, Pennywell by nature.

The food was dry and cold, not good value for money

I live in a block of flats on the top floor, the driver just dumped my order on the ground on the bottom floor and didn't even tell me

Nice food but the slowest drive thru ever, waiting around 20 mins every time you go even if it’s quiet

missing part of the order, the chicken burger was dry and bun was stale spent over 30 pound for 2 meals that went in the bin.

Driver stopped at shop for atleast 10 minutes and then sat out front of it for another 5, from what it looked like from the trackers. Driver then came to my house and I heard him looking through a box I have on my porch for packages/food deliveries. Food was lukewarm warm at best.

We were disgusted with the quality of our order. We requested no wings and were delivered 4. It was supposed to be a 10 piece bargain bucket and it had 9 pieces in. It was over cooked and clearly had been stood for too long. Very disappointing. We attempted to contact the store twice and despite it ringing for nearly 5 minutes each time, we were cut off both times. It was the first time we have ordered from the pennywell restaurant, but we never will ever order from there ever again!! Poor!!!

I literally watched the driver go 15 minutes in the opposite direction then make their way back to correct address. So food is stone cold. we live 5 minutes from the restaurant it would of been faster to walk there and collect myself.

On the day of our visit, Sunday 12:45, it didn't seem busy but it took over 15 minutes between placing the order and getting the food.

can't fault delivery or quality of food, but only half the order was delivered had to drive through and pick up what was missing

Chicken burger had huge bone in it when I took my first bite
