Always my preferred Chinese, don't have too often and almost didn't choose this time after reading some recent reviews. Chanced it anyway and I have no idea what all the bad reviews are on about. Portions same as always been, tasty and full. Only difference was the 20 minutes time frame as apposed to what used to be 10 mins.

Absolutely rank Chinese takeaway! Thought the first meal I had there was ordinary so I gave it a second chance much to my regret! The Chinese chicken balls were the smallest I've ever seen or tasted! Avoid! Bad value and basically a rip off! Can't for the life of me understand all the positive reviews!

Not as good as before tbh. The black bean dish was watery without much taste, the chicken in the satay was really chewy as was the sweet and sour dish. The Prawn toast was flat overcooked and lacked prawns while the chow mein had very little meat in it.. Had much better from here. Hopefully a one off.

I don’t know where these people learnt to cook but my meal was inedible. Definitely the worst Chinese food I have ever bought. I tasted it and it went straight into the bin. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

£12+ for a takeout of Duck in Orange Sauce, Pancake Roll and Salt and Chilli Ribs, including free Prawn Crackers. Good size portions and a great price. Service was fast and efficient. Quality and taste were not so great, the ribs were tough and chewy, the duck meat was fine, but the sauce was sweet and sickly, the pancake roll was nice, so a mixed bag in my view.

I ordered from here loads of times food used to be great. Recently ordered food bought 5 containers of food we usually order. I only recognise the rice. I thought I had the wrong order for sure even after tasting them we didn't know what it was. Capital spare ribs that tasted like bisto gravey and tomato ketchup I'm not going there again what a disappointment and what a shame. Can you tell what it is? Well below is capital spare ribs.

Well, I really enjoyed the food. I had the £8 meal for 1 and will have enough for tomorrow. This is a takeaway, so most of these questions do not apply

We’ve been getting takeaways from the Pagoda for the last 20 years or so and it’s always been excellent, in our opinion the best in the area and excellent value and delicious food. We ordered a meal for 7 of us last night. As soon as I started opening the containers I thought it didn’t look the same as usual. It all looked very similar, some items I thought I didn’t order that and also there were a couple of things missing. We ate our food but it was not at all good and all tasted very much the same. We were all offering different theories as to why it was so bad this time and in the end it was bugging me so much that I phoned them to ask why it was so different. Apparently it changed hands a month ago! I’m so disappointed. Sadly we won’t be going back.

Had a few take aways from here. As good as any chinese take away round Thanet, but not significantly better. It's convenient for me, and reasonably priced. If I just want a quick and easy meal I'm happy to go here.

Ordered food for a time.. Don't bother ..40 minutes late. And we picked it up. Please don't use, no organisation at all in this business... Never answered the phone either. 🙄

Sunday takeout of Spare Ribs,and Duck with fried rice and gravy sauce. good value at less than £10. It came out in less than 10 minutes,hot and well prepared. The duck was roasted and served skin on,the ribs were crispy on the outside,but soft inside.

This Chinese takeaway does the nicest and tastiest dishes ... It’s 10 times better than any other Chinese around Thanet. Very reasonable prices . Highly recommended

Special Crispy Noodles to take away,at less than £5. Mixed meats,King Prawns,noodles and china vegetables. It was quite tasty,quickly served by a friendly owner.

Hot lovely delicious food and friendly staff will go back everytime weekdays or weekends, especially for the curry sauce. Food is not greasy what so ever.

As our usual Chinese was closed on Sundays we decided to try an alternative, we weren’t disappointed, all our dishes were well cooked and the flavours were just as you would expect, great to have a second choice for our takeaways

Pagoda is far the best Chinese takeaway by far in the Thanet area. The food is so delicious and tasty, especially Sweet Chilli Chicken. The wait for the food is always good timing.

Lovely food, sorry they are not open on a Monday, as we had to go elsewhere, and we've had some pretty poor ones from other takeaways, so I recommend them, and no longer ever have a Chinese on Mondays!!! Benge family

Really nice spring rolls Tasty prawn toast which normally goes soggy Noodles where well cooked and flavoursome

The takeaway opens at 5:00, rang in at 5:00 to order spare ribs with salt and chilli, sweet and sour chicken balls, chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce and house special chow mein... told it would be ready in 15 minutes... alarm bells should have rung, how can they cook all that from scratch in such a short time? Collected the order, ready after 10 minutes... got home, order was wrong - beef with black bean, not chicken, rest of the food was very average, chicken balls did not taste fresh, tough chicken with thick chewy batter, special chow mein not special, the food was very average and quite pricey for small portion sizes (portions were small even though I ordered the large sizes). Sadly, would not go back again :( The place seems very busy and has some good reviews maybe it's just not to my taste.

Perfect for Chinese food. Excellent choice, beautifully cooked and very, very good value. No hesitation in recommending whatsoever

After trying pretty much every Chinese take away. We only stick to using pagoda as it's really good quality.

Una vez ordenados para llevar pico sábado. Listo en 45 minutos, lo cual es bueno. Llegamos a recoger y tenía 10 minutos de sobra, así que leí las reseñas sobre microondas, pedidos incompletos, etc. Vi que cocina todo fresco y oído ellos también todo completamente. Que, sorprendentemente, no dos tamaños de porciones. Pequeña es perfecta para una persona y grandes es ideal para dos. He comido desde aquí antes de hace 2 años o así, pero no recuerdo que haya sido tan magnífico como fue esta vez. Wow - carnes, salsas, grandes piezas perfecto de cebolla ligeramente crujiente que adoro. 6 libras por cabeza, lo que la relación calidad-precio. Cabeza y hombros para llevar la mejor que he comido.

This is, probably, the nicest of the Chinese Takeaways in the locality.The meals are always tasty,piping hot and not greasy.The staff are warm and welcoming and the menu is extensive though we enjoy the Fried Rice dishes best!Prices are reasonable.

What more can I say?! This has to be the best Chinese takeaway in Thanet, if not Kent. We have never had a bad meal, nor one that has not been quite up to standard. Thoroughly recommended

Best curry sauce ever, actually tastes like curry rather than salt and msg. Always a winner, lovely chow mein and food tastes fresh. Good service and not a rip off.

Best Chinese I've had was optimistic to try as I had heard mix reviews the food was hot and tasted so fresh! Would highly recommend !

But when you make an order they forget things so check what you've ordered before you leave or you end up spending loads of time going back to get things when you halfway for a meal

This is the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Quick, clean and reasonably priced.I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Really lovely food, always friendly. Only wish they delivered! Or was on one of those takeaway apps...or both!Only criticism is the crispy chilli beef could be a bit crispier as per other takeaways.

A good comprehensive menu combined with charming effective service makes this an ideal local Chinese Takeaway Restaurant.Within 30 minutes of ringing the order it is ready and complete for the drive home to enjoy a splendid supper at home with family and or friend.

Fantastic food really hot great service at counter and bag of crackers best l have found.well done will definitely be back as promised.

I have recently returned to the Pagoda Takeaway as my Local Chinese is Closed on a Wednesday.I must say I was Appalled at the Quality of Food - Which I believe was Re-Heated by Microwave.My Order took Approximately 10 Minutes to Cook/Re-Heat which sent the Alarm Bells Ringing!The Food was awful, I wouldn't feed it to Animals. Consequently most of my £14.10p Meal went in our Food Waste Bin. The Beef Chow Mein and Special Fried Rice was Dark Brown and Clearly Not Fresh. I would Never go back to the Pagoda and I would strongly urge anyone who is thinking of visiting this Takeaway not to do so.
