Great customer service. Servers were polite, effective and kind. We were seated quickly and servers are very attentive to all needs.

We have been customers for many years and tonight we called up and a very rude lady told us our address does not exist and even though we explained we were regular customers she was reluctant to help.She refused to give her name or let us speak to the Manager or Owner so she is sending customers away but I will try and get through to the owner as this a restaurant with great food but the owner is in the kitchen cooking and not aware that this woman is being rude to her customers.

Have been using them for take away for years. Only place to manage to get lost several times to our house. Tonight we were told our post code doesn’t exist on their app. I said try using another app but computer said no! That’s £60 pound lost tonight and £ 000 s of future business from us

Amazing food and service, soo impressed, food was quick to come out with a large variety of different dishes!

Visited lunchtime today and ordered Tom Yam and green curry from lunch menu. Both were hot and spiced just right for me. Very tasty - good food rather than some of the over priced options in Wokingham. Restaurant is a charismatic English pub. Comfortable seats and table with good bar. Quiet for lunch but probably becomes busy later. Lady behind bar was friendly and helpful. I will certainly return as menu looks very appealing.

Toni was the best bar staff, helped us with every need, amazing customer service xxx brilliant lady all round xxx

AVOID If you want to stay safe!! If I could give it 0 stars I would. When we arrived at the Red Lion on Saturday night, I was verbally abused by another customer at the bar. One member of staff heard what the male said to me, and then said to me, ‘you better not kick off about this, we have to serve him as he is a paying customer.’ This is all came as a complete shock to me as I was too a ‘paying customer’. Having let this go and turned around to my friends to tell them about what had just happened, the male was taken out of the pub for another incident. To my utter shock, my drink was then crushed in my hands by a female staff member with brown hair and I was then grabbed by a male bouncer with curly black hair and man handled out of the bar for no reason whatsoever- I have bruises all over my arms from this. My friends we also kicked out by a female staff member with brown hair. As we waited outside in shock, an older, kind bouncer told us ‘the girls do this every week. They pick on people, usually other girls, randomly and have them kicked out the pub for no reason.’ We called the police an have given a statement and cctv will be looked at and charges pressed. Do not go here if you want a pleasant night out. Never in my life have I been treated so disgustingly from arriving up to leaving. In light of what has been happening to women in recent news, I could not believe how my friends and I were treated by the male at the bar, the females and male bouncer employed here. I will be passing this on to as many people as possible to avoid them being bruised in the way I have been both internally and externally.

Tasty food but seemed to be overcharged with a 20% tax added to the cost of the food as shown on the menu,. No indication of this on the menu either. Service was sweet but clueless. Been double charged for drinks in the bar before so extra cautious now.

We just happened to drive by Wokingham and decided to have some Pad Thai here. I didn't have much expectation yet I was disappointed. Average service, waited almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The starter was good but the seafood Pad Thai was terrible. Soggy noodles soaked in soy sauce, tasted sweet and oily. Mussels with whole shell made me feel uncomfortable. I think it's not a very authentic Pad Thai and even below average for stir fried noodles in general. Won't be coming back.

Unbearably noisy and much too crowded, particularly with the virus risk . Sticky and wobbly table. Mediocre food and very slow service. Very disappointing, would not come again.

When we arrived only people eating git very busy.we gad the banquet meal so much delicious food. Good service and excellent food.

I don’t normally write reviews. But this place was too good not to. Me and the girls came to the Pad Thai on Friday for a bite to eat before going down to the disco and the second we got there we felt very welcome. Great atmosphere, laughter all around. Staff went the extra mile to make sure we had a smile on our faces. Food was spot on and the cocktails are to die for! Definitely recommend coming to The Red Lion Pad Thai

Large group booking made several weeks ago but others booked in at the same time. Slow is an understatement but definitely not the fault of the girls serving though one order was incorrect and one was missed completely - they needed the number of the dish from the menu and didn’t have a clue regarding dish names. I’ve eaten pad Thai in the same restaurant before and it was nothing like last night’s effort. Luke warm ‘gloup’. All other customers were served before us, all of us having pad Thai were given an apology and a 10% discount on that dish. I don’t like slating restaurants. After all, perhaps the chef was simply having a bad day but, in a town with so many restaurants, none of us will be going back

Fantastic 2 course lunch for under £10. Tom Kai soup was delicious, fully of flavour and not too spicy. Red Thai curry was excellent. Bar area is pretty basic but it’s the food quality I came for.

Me and my partner visited here for my 1st ever Thai dinner. I can't put into words how amazing the food was, the presentation of the food looked amazing too.The service was spot on the staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was nice and filled with laughter. After we finished we headed downstairs to the bar where once again the staff were welcoming and the cocktails were the best I've had in a long time ..We will definitely be going again

What an absolute amazing experience, I don't normally leave reviews but this place is definitely deserving. I read a few reviews before going to the Pad Tai and after the service I received I can honestly say some people just can't be pleased. My waitress was called Olivia, she was brilliant along with the bar staff Toni and Andrea, amazing friendly service again, I'm sure all the staff are the same as they're all full of smiles and the cocktails were amazing. Great wide range of music later on. So if you're looking for great food and service and a great night out go to the Pad Tai Red Lion. We will be back soon with company..

A few of my friends and I visited for dinner very quick service the cocktails are amazing and all fresh and the food is amazing, good service and went the extra mile to make us happy 😊

I was hesitant to visit at first after reading some of the reviews but my wife was adamant that the menu had what she wanted and boy was she correct. The authentic mouth-watering dishes left us both disappointed and satisfied. Disappointed because eventually the food ran out and satisfied because we just could not eat any more. Having food prepared by a Thai chef will always win over the pre-made packages that some places serve up and we would be more than happy to visit again.So forget about giggling whatchamacallits - this is the place to go. A+

My daughter booked a table for 5 (for son’s birthday) three weeks in advance, however when we arrived, we were informed they had no record of the booking! My daughter showed the booking confirmation received on her phone. The less than interested response from staff was we will make up a table downstairs in the pub section. We proceeded to take seats downstairs at a very sticky table which clearly was in need of a clean – (so much for covid cleaning) We were provided with menus after several minutes and a drinks order was taken. We waited… Then the music started, loud dance/bass music which was interspersed with noise from a group of drunken men on a stag night pub crawl. This is not exactly a dining environment, but clearly pad tai think this is acceptable. We placed order for 5 banquet set meals and within about 15 minutes the starters arrived. Barely enough food to feed 5 people and which was mainly cold. The taste was distinctly average. The starter plates were cleared away promptly and then the wait began. After 50 mins very hot plates arrived and were distributed to each of us. Then we waited, and waited, and waited…15 minutes later and with now stone-cold plates, my daughter went upstairs to ask where the food was. She was told soon and was offered no apology but was told - “we are busy with a table of twelve”. 10 minutes later 1 dish with 2 bowls of rice arrived, with a waitress saying - “more dishes are on their way”. 15 minutes later no food had arrived, so my daughter once again went upstairs to enquire where was the rest of it. The 5 minutes later the remaining dishes then arrived by which time the first food was cold. I’m not a big fan of cold rice but attempted to eat it. It was unpleasant.At no point did any member of staff offer any explanation or apology for the delay. All we were told is due to the delay we would be offered a 10% discount. We responded with comments that this was not acceptable. Not one of us enjoyed the food, or the evening’s loud drunken pub ambience, and as for the waiting.., well how can this ever be justified. Arriving at 7.30pm, no one expects to be waiting for a main course at 9.30pm. My daughter went upstairs to complain. Her reasons were not listened to, so she asked to speak to the owner given the manager wasn’t interested and was only willing to offer 10% discount. My daughter was told the owner was busy in the kitchen and that we would have to wait 20 mins to be seen. Another wait, unbelievable!I’m 56 and have eaten out many times over many years and sadly I have to say that this dining experience is the worst I’ve ever encountered. Sorry Pad Tai but you’ll never be seeing me or any of my family ever again.

Pub looked ok but was charged nearly £22 for a pint of lager, small rose wine and soda and a single gin and tonic. As I said, nice pub and the staff are lovely, but at those prices I certainly will not be going back!!!Much nicer - and cheaper - pubs in Wokingham town centre.

Went to this restaurant last night after a friend’s recommendation. The food was tasty but the staff were not very professional. Only new menu by the numbers. We’re very keen to push the Thai crackers which they they charged as 2 portions . I requested a pot of Jasmine tea which is not an unusual request for such an establishment but they barely knew what is was and definitely didn’t have it.Ended up with a green tea bag in a cup. Had a very tasty soup but this was served with the main course in the middle of the table.Room is very small and quite noisy even when only half full.Don’t think we will be going back.

Ordered a Thai food delivery from here this week.For starters we had the fish cakes, they were ok but had zero spice. They also did not come with the vegetable pickle or topped with chillies and peanuts as stated on the menu, they were also lukewarm. On top of this they came with a measly 1 tablespoon of sweet chilli sauce for 4 fish cakes.For mains we had the Thai Green Curry with Chicken and the Pad Thai with Chicken.The green curry was greasy and not creamy as it should be, zero spice and arrived lukewarm. The Pad Thai noodles though there was lots of it arrived lukewarm and clumpy. I also paid £3.90 delivery charge for a 2 mile trip from the restaurant to my house which is excessive to say the least.Could be better will try the restaurant when it reopens after Covid.

We are new to the area and ordered take away from this pub. I have not found a nice pad Thai since I moved back to the UK a year ago and theirs was great, flavourful and I loved the grated nuts on the side. My hubby had a curry and egg fried rice with vegetables and enjoyed his meal as well. All was well packaged and hot when I got home 15 min later.

Interesting atmosphere really because it’s a very locals pub that’s a little dingy to be honest. The food I have to say it’s amazing so don’t judge a book by its cover with this place!!!Pad Thai is the best Iv had by far and I always judge the food by having a pad Thai! We’ve been twice this month! Lunch and dinner and both times amazing! Go for the food at this place it’s worth it

If you want a hot chocolate that tastes like dirty dish water with slight chocolate taste and costs £2.40 by all means this is your place. Awful service as left waiting at door even though I'm disabled. No clear separate exit. And the hot chocolate was the worst I have ever tasted.

We visited to try an alternative to the other local thai restaurants and we will certainly be avoiding the Red Lion Pad Thai in future. When we arrived the speakers were blaring disco type music so we could not hear each other talk across the table. We asked for it to be turned down, which one waiter did, but a minute later it was turned back up again. Although we asked again, we were told it couldn’t not be turned down due to the other customers. Having walked through the pub, all customers were dining but it appeared the loud music was for the benefit of the the bar staff who must have wanted to work in a nightclub instead. We ordered pints of soft drinks without ice (they ask if you want a pint or half pint), however they then turned up with ice. When I asked again for them without ice, the bar staff took the ice out but refused to fill the glass up after so we were left with 80% of a pint.After the starter plates were cleared, the staff asked if we were ready for mains, however almost an hour later and they still had not arrived. To top it off, when we asked for the bill, as we could not wait any longer (over 1.5 hours since we arrived), the bar staff would not initially provide us with an actual bill but we stupidly still paid what they asked us to. Only after we realised they overcharged us and went back to challenge the amount, however the bar tender was adamant we had more drinks even though the waitress eventually confirmed we didn’t. The bar tender then stated we would have to wait 30-40 minutes for the manager to authorise the refund or come back the next day, so we were not particularly pleased! The waitress though within a few minutes went upstairs and spoke to the manager and was able to process the refund although we were still overcharged but really could not be bothered to argue more at that time of night. We certainly won’t be going back and would advise others to go to Giggling Squid in Wokingham or Thai Corner in Reading as much better alternatives.

We went to the Red Lion - Pad Thai during one of the eat out to help out days. Despite being busy our waitress Colette was extremely polite and helpful, nothing was ever to much. The managers were all very helpful and the food delicious! A great visit!

Myself and two friends went to the Red Lion Wokingham for drinks on the 4th July.Our experience was unbelievable! We booked prior to attending and got given a table in the corner.. which was fine however, we were served 1 drink within almost two hours of being at the pub. It is all table service so when we weren’t getting served I went too the bar where I was told someone will be over to take your drinks order, another 20 minutes past still no drink. So I get up again; this time no one at the bar. On top of bad service, the table next to us (group of 10 people which I thought it was a maximum of 6 people with current government guidelines) were behaving outrageously, throwing drinks, coming over to our table and screaming at each other. I politely asked the waitress to move us or if they could leave. I was told unfortunately there was nothing they could do.I am sad because I went to this pub before Xmas and had a great time but sadly will not be returning. Would not recommend. Go anywhere else but here!

Came here for some Thai food as other places were booked up so thought we’d try this place and everything was so bad!...the ambience and food in particular. Booked a table and service didn’t realise we booked for food?! So when we eventually received menus we ordered and the food was easily the worst Thai food I’ve ever had....we would’ve have been better off getting a take away. Overcooked, undercooked/cold, the curry glistened with grease and the noodles were so salty. We never actually got asked if our meals were okay, which was sensible from them considering we left it. The pub is lively and the “restaurant” is not really split from the rest, which is fine as it adds atmosphere in a sense...it’s an issue however when pub goers come over to take a phone call (to be removed by security, this happened a few times) It’s essentially a run down pub that serves up way below par Thai food. Maybe we got unlucky but we won’t be going back for food again that’s for sure. Good for a pint on a lively night out I’d imagine but it’s no place to go for a sit down meal and Thai food.

I have been in this restaurant twice in one week.this food is outstanding the taste is amazing and staff are very freindly and helpful. Will be back very soon for more great food

We went from the reviews that we saw about this place. The restaurant is upstairs from the pub and has authentic Thai food with the staff being mainly Thai. The food was served very promptly and any questions we had were knowledgably answered. I had the Beef Massamen curry, which was delicious - I often feel wary about ordering anything with beef as it can come quite chewy, but this beef was really tender and tasted like it had been slow cooked. My partner had the Pad Thai which was equally as delicious. It was really reasonably priced too (which is always a plus!)Our only criticism wasn't about the food but about how warm the room was. We did get there quite early in the evening so maybe it the restaurant would get warmer as the evening went on.

Lovely food and also great value. Definitely will be visiting again soon. Would recommend this place highley.

Booked a table for my husband and myself yesterday evening at The Red Lion - Pad Thai. What a treat we had in store. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, from Reception and through our meal. There was a great atmosphere in the restaurant, the restaurant was full and everyone was enjoying themselves. The meal was beautifully presented. The tastes/flavours were beyond our expectations. We ate everything and savoured all the authentic flavours. Starters:- chicken satay, crispy wrapped king prawns. Mains:- Sizzling duck and sizzling mixed seafood with vegetables in black pepper sauce, vegetable curry, and special pineapple fried rice with eggs, cashew nuts, raisins and mixed vegEttables. It was all delicious. We'll definitely be booking again soon. A must go to restaurant and you won''t be disappointed.

We went with some friends on a Sunday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant. We went for the banqueting set menu and were very disappointed with both the quality and quantity of food. Portions of the meat containing dishes were a small and not replenished whilst the vegetable dishes were many but just tasted steamed. The dishes were ok, if not a little bland. I ordered a papaya salad which tasted of nothing apart from chillies. No where near salads experiences in Thailand with a balance of sweet, sour, salt, hot etc. Better Thai restaurants in Wkm tbh. Will definitely not recommend and will not go back. Also noticed the a strong 'Zoflora' smell which was quite off putting.

We have been to this Thai restaurant a number of times, and never had any problems, but something has changed......We visited the restaurant early December 2019, and ordered amongst other things Masaman curry , a rice dish etc .....all were ok.We also ordered a sweet and sour king prawn dish, usually ok, but on this occasion.......RAW PRAWNS !!!!!!!Luckily my wife noticed this before eating it. We mentioned it to the waitress who took it away without saying anything.A few moments later one of the waiters came over and said ‘ did you send the prawns back’ , I said yes as there were raw prawns in the dish.He then said, no the chef has looked and said they were all ok !!!!Unreal........!!I said his chef is deluded and told him to bring the dish back to the table , he went away and returned a minute later......Then saying we were right and there were raw prawns in the dish.Great so we are not lying then , as we were originally told......thanks....The excuse........the chef was busy.....and had a lot of orders !!Sorry.......this is no reason for you serving RAW PRAWNS and potentially poisoning your customers!!!!!You have to get you chefs cooking properly and serving edible food.......a must for any restaurant.Get your act together!

Loved the food and great value for money also. Good selection of beers available to. Will definitely be going back for the evening menu at a later date.

the music you play every Friday and Saturday night is awful. So loud you should not be allowed to play till 2am!!

When you are in the bar before you order your drinks ask to se the price list, Mmmm,Aaaaa, we don’t have one behind the bar I was over charge by. £5.60. On 4 drinks and one was soft drink £27.70 what a rip of. By low P/H have to have a price list behind the bar 24/7. ( Check your change ) they ARE ripping us big time.

The food was okay but not great. Nearly empty but they insisted on sitting 4 of us next to a very loud table of 5. Food didn’t come out together

Was a bit dubious when we entered the pub downstairs but the restaurant upstairs was nice. Food was absolutely delicious. We had the set banquet menu and added Thai green chicken curry. The mixed starter was great and there wasn't a dish we didn't like. Although would have preferred it not to come with the fruit and ice cream desert and just pick something off the menu as 3 out of 4 of us didn't want it and ordered something else instead. Let down slightly by the service. Bit sporadic, no one came to check up on our drinks. Had to keep trying to flag someone down but I'd still recommend it.

The Pad Thai restaurant is above the pub hence being called Pad Thai - Red Lion. The food was excellent, we had the feast for 5 of us and it was excellent value. Good service too. The wine list wasn’t extensive, in fact we had the most expensive bottle which was a Bordeaux at £28.95 I think

Visited there for lunch this afternoon. The barmaid was totally useless and doesn't know what the customer service is. Walked out without eating the main course. Won't be returning.

Beautiful food/service all at a reasonable price. Tried many Thai restaurants in the area, but Pad Thai always has been consistently good.

Visited here a few times over the years and it's got progressively worse. This time no lights at all in the smelling gents, just holes in the ceiling where they once were, obviously due to toilet being pitch black, it was dirty and smelly.

The Pad Thai Banquet is an excellent choice to experience the full range of Thai cuisine. Five different starters, five superb main courses and a dessert for under £25. The quaint dining room and cheerful service make it a very enjoyable experience.

This place is dreadful, cold food and awful service. We arrived to a fantastic greeting of “oh, no, sorry we’ve given your table away” even though we arrived 5 mins early. The waitress that “greeted” us is potentially the rudest, ill mannered restaurant employee I’ve ever come across. Proper attitude on her. She proceeded to say “we don’t have a table for you unfortunately” to which we should have said “ok no problem we’ll go up the road instead”. But we didn’t, error!

Very poor service, waited 20mins before even being asked for a drink and then another 20mins before ordering food. The main courses came then waited 10mins for rice. Once we finished and paid just under £250 we were confronted by a member of staff who said we ‘dramatically underpaid’ when told we hadn’t he admitted he had only counted 4 out of the 5 receipts. Needless to say after feeling humiliated as everyone in the restaurant heard we soon left. Very disappointed

Fantastic evening, the food was excellent. They added candles to the birthday cake, and everyone sang! We went as a family from age 20 to 81, and all had a great time.

We were a table of 4, for dinner on a Saturday night. We were sat at a table tucked away an alcove by the reception, so not much atmosphere as would be in the main part of the restaurant. We were sat down and given menus quick enough, but then had to wave and ask for the wine menu. Our starters came but they had missed one, the waiter was apologetic and we were served the 4th quick enough. We then never saw the waiter again, and I think the manager served us our mains - again, another one was missing so he said he'd check with the kitchen. A while later we called him over to ask where the missing dish was and he said the kitchen had confirmed there was nothing missing (but he didn't think to tell us?) We reordered the 4th dish, Two of us also got the jungle curry, and though it listed aubergine, both plates had half a slice of aubergine in it. Other than that, the food was delicious. At the end, we had to wait so long for the bill that we had to get up, and pay at reception ourselves. Very very poor service which would stop me from going on a Saturday night again.

Great service and happy staff. An order was messed up at one point but they corrected it on my next visit. Lovely food.

I've eaten here plenty time before and once again the food was great. It's my first choice for Thai food locally (and a pub downstairs - bonus!)

We visited Pad Thai for the first time on New Year's Eve and absolutely loved it! Tom and his team offer the best customer service we have ever experienced. The team were very attentive and checked that everything was ok with the meal/whether we needed anything else, on more than one occasion. Not intrusive at all - just made you feel that they wanted everything to be perfect for you throughout the evening. The dishes that we chose were full of flavour, generous in size and piping hot. We can't wait to go back!

Visited the Red Lion last Saturday with friends for the first time. The staff were extremely welcoming, very efficient and friendly. We ordered the set menu and we all thought it was delicious and an excellent selection. Would definitely visit again

Went for a meal with my daughter and as it was our first visit decided on the banquet so that we would get to try a mixture of food.

Once again we visited this restaurant. We had an excellent meal a set menu called the feast.

Very friendly staff although it was only 1 person running the whole restaurant but it was a Monday night so pretty quiet. The food was nice enough but the chicken in the dishes we had was obviously boiled to within an inch of its life as was almost a paste with tofu consistency. Other than this was all very tasty and would go again

Went for a mid week meal with my partner, hadn’t been to Pad Thai for some time. We had a really welcoming greeting, followed by very attentive service throughout the meal. We had wine and the set menu and both the food and wine arrived in good time and the food was very tasty! We will certainly be back!

Had a really good meal out with my better half when we went for a takeout of the Thai food recently. Excellent service and the food was ready very quickly. We will definitely be ordering again

Disappointing meal . Ordered thai beer only to be told they don't have it anymore. Vegetarian main was tofu and under cooked + cold . Steak dish was not what I expected in other restaurants it normally arrives on a sizzling skillet and is in chunky slices - here it looked to be pre slice sandwich beef was very tough and tasteless . All in all we won't be rushing back

Had visited this restaurant a few weeks previously and had a lovey meal. We had booked on that occasion but as there was just one other table occupied, we decided to risk just turning up this time round,

Had a table of 4 each with varied tastes and dietary requirements which were handled perfectly. Food tasted great.

Just so very disappointing , we were the only table in the entire restaurant & couldn’t help but feel slightly awkward as the waitress made no real effort to make us feel welcome , engage in conversation , let alone eye contact with us .

This place has been open for years, and somehow I had never been - and I love Thai food!!

Delicious food, great service and quirky intimate dining. We love eating here it feels like your a valued customer and always great food.

First visit today, and I was very impressed by the friendly manager. It’s a lovely traditional pub, with smaller separated areas (as opposed to being a large open-plan space) which make a cosy and relaxing environment.

After receiving no service at The Giggling Squid just down the street called in here to be welcomed and served politely and efficiently. The food was very tasty and a reasonable price. Have no hesitation in returning and recommending it to my friends.

I went here for my birthday - couldn’t get in to the giggling squid so decided to take a chance on this place and it did not disappoint. Confusing building layout and it was upstairs - but we had the set menu and it was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The cocktails were pretty nice too! Highly recommend and I still get cravings for Thai from this place !!

Hidden gem. Highly enjoyable meal at a great price. We had the mixed starter for two which gives a great selection spring rolls, satay chicken etc. I had a pad thai for main which was really fresh and delicious. Will definitely go again!

I have been here two weeks in a row now. The food is amazing, Traditional fresh thai food. You can't beat it. the team are some of the friendliest I have come across.The owner is onto a winner here. The restaurant itself is lovely. And you couldn't ask for better service! I will be back again soon!

Me fui el sábado por la noche con mi sobrina. Compartimos un entrante y tenía dos platos principales. La comida era deliciosa, con un montón de sabor y el servicio era fantástico. Cuando la cuenta fue que no podía creer que fue sólo 22 libras....

La primera vez que estaba allí. La comida era promedio. Servicio ĺazy. Mel es el mejor miembro del personal. Me encantaría que fuera mejor. El Escape de la uva es mejor cuando estás en forma:)

La comida estaba bien, pero nos llevó 2 horas a los principales y sólo cuando les recordamos, que luego se olvidó de los postres. No me impresionó.

No Pad tailandés bien impresionado como soy un fan de la comida tailandesa alrededor. El servicio es básico y el tamaño de las porciones son demasiado pequeñas.

We enjoyed our food here. Two Pad Thai and Moo Pad Grapow. They were all good and while I was initially concerned about portion size it was plenty for me. With two glasses of wine and gratuity we got out for 34 pounds. Very cheap. They have fixed price meals with LOTS of food, but the regular menu was just fine for us and much cheaper. We enjoyed the food and the ambience. We would go back. I also like the Teak House Thai Restaurant. Two good choices in town.

It's been a couple of years and two holidays in Thailand since the last visit to this lovely little restaurant. The standard is just as high, the food as tasty and the staff as attentive. It was a Thursday evening and it was very quiet.Not really suitable for the disabled diner as there are a lot of steps. In the centre of town opposite the Town Hall.

The food was good (when it arrived) but the issue that I had was that the server wasn't very good at recommending items on the menu, or what kind of size the portions were (we were in a group)The service is ok- they tend to be on top of you until you have placed your order, after that it can be a bit difficult to get their attention for another drink or to get the bill.The furniture is a bit old and looks a bit tired

Very disappointing visit. Arrived without an appointment so was seated downstairs in The Red Lion pub. Took far too long to take our orders. Then to be told there were seats upstairs but were better where we were. Eventually food arrived, and we all enjoyed it. Got told to vacate our seat by bouncer, we were all so close to walking away without paying. A free round of singha and prawn crackers will not make us come back ever. Very disappointing

The surroundings may leave a lot to be desired and if you have lunch downstairs the furniture is old and seen better days, but the food is very good. The food is always fresh tasting and is always very tasty. The prices are very reasonable. We have eaten here for evenings and the food quality is the same.

The Food is ok but nothing spectacular the location above the Red Lion is very old and should be more atmosphric somehow. The Fish Tank looks a bit silly how it is and should go (not nice for the fish anyway the tank is too small!)I was in a big group and it was fine for what it was other than the food a bit on the pricey side. NothingI truly disliked but just nothing that would send me back either.

Nice restaurant, slightly odd location above a pub but the food and service are very good. Very central and near parking.

We though we would try this place again as we hadn't been here for ages since our last bad experience.We turned up for out table about 5 mins late as we had been drinking downstairs at the bar. We gave the hostess our name and said sorry that we were a bit late. She looked at the booking list on wall and then huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes. At this point I was ready to just leave but my husband said to wait. We were taken to a very cramped table for 2.We ordered some wine, when we has to ask for the wine menu. My drink was ok (a white wine spritzer), but my husband Rioja was awful.We ordered the food and I asked if one portion of rice would be enough for 2 ? The waitress said no, we would need 2, so we ordered 2. The food arrived, the flavours of the curry were nice but all 3 were luke warm and we had loads of rice left over.The service here was awful, the serving staff are rude, they are not attentive, we were not offered tea or coffee and had to wait for 15 mins for the bill. They added a tip to the bill which I would have taken off but mu husband said no. I will not be returning.

Have eaten here a few times previously and food has been OK (not outstanding), and service acceptable. However, last nights shambles will ensure we never visit again. Through the meal we were regularly presented with food and drinks that were not ordered by out table of 8 (were ordered by a larger party next door) - which ensured that when it came to paying the bill it turned into a fiasco. We waited 20 minutes and I asked three times for our bill; when it didn't arrive we decided to go to the front with our coats as were wanting to carry on with our evening. We then spent another 15 minutes going through our bill, arguing over what we did and did not order and eventually paying. And no apology. A poor show - will not be returning!

Had a takeaway as we could not leave a little one. First time ordering food from here. Order ready when they said it would be and staff very friendly. Food was of a good quality definately recommend

This is a frequented place for team meals from our business in Winnersh. It is quite hidden since it's upstairs from the pub area (and the pub area is quite derelict) but that shouldn't put you off. It is quite small, but that means a bit more care can be taken on the food, and that is where this place shines for me. The quality, amount and the price are all great. Having eaten a lot in Thailand, the food here is very authentic in flavours with the added benefit of richer meat and seafood (due to being in the UK and the availability). The small area is good for small team meals out or business meetings in smaller groups, and the elegance of the food preparation aligns with this well. I have been here multiple times and the classics are done well (Thai Green Curry, Massaman Curry, Pad Thai) and I can recommend the assortment of starters too. This place wont turn you on to Thai food, but if you are already a lover of the sweetness, the lightness and the aromatic flavours that Thai cuisine brings, then you cannot go wrong with this place!

My first experience of a Pad Thai .Had a very enjoyable freshly prepared two course lunch and a beer .My friend chose from the menu , so I cannot say exactly what we ate .... just delicious .

Visited last night with 8 people for my daughters birthday as we love thai food and have eaten here many times. We ordered our food all together but the mains did not all come out at the same time. Some had finned their dinner before other had even got theirs and they got one of the guests dinner wrong and tried to tell a vegetarian that she had ordered a chicken dish!! That said, the food once we got it was lovely but we didn't feel very welcome.The restaurant was empty when we got their but busy when we left but I think they need more staff so the girls don't have to rush about so.much and get muddled.

Ate here twice in December, great simple Thai, no frills what you would expect, would def go back. Recommend massaman curry

We had dinner here last week and it was a very good meal with exerlent service.Try the banquet feast.

Myself and a few friends ate at Pad Thai following good reviews on Trip Advisor. I just wanted to say how enjoyable the meal was. We ate one of the set meals and everything was just really nicely cooked, flavoursome and without excess. It was one of those meals which leaves you satisfied. None of us left feeling overly full, but our tastebuds were really happy. We'll definitely be back.

This Thai offers good value for money with some great dishes (Tamarind Duck), some Ok ones (Veg Pad Thai, Coconut rice, Curry) and some really poor ones (most of the startes that were quite stodgy and tasteless, the Beef Stir Fry that was dry). Service was pleasant but sporadic and it was unclear who was responsible for our table. Ambiance was basic but on one of the coldest nights todate there seemed to be no heating so I had my coat on for part of the meal which was not ideal. Overall the experience was Ok but I not memorable enough to make me rush to return.

We visited the restaurant for the private party on Friday night. The staff were excellent, the Management absolutely brilliant (couldn't have been more accommodating) and most importantly the food was top notch. Highly recommended.

We love Thai food and we love eating at Pad Thai. We've visted several times, as a couple and in a group and we've been really impressed everytime. Great atmosphere, authetic thai food, reasonably priced and served with a friendly smile. ขอขอบคุณสำหรับการทานอาหารที่ยอดเยี่ยม

We eat out a lot and this was a wonderful Thai meal ....... but..... it isn't cheap for a midweek night out and (for me) not romantic enough for a weekend splurge. Still I am relatively poor for Wokingham, so if you get a chance, check out the menu and I'm positive you'll love the food.

Very good food at reasonable prices in a wonderful old building. We have been coming here for a while now and always enjoy it.

Lovely quaint little restaurant. The service and food were very good. We went for the set menu to try out the different dishes, more than enough food. We shared between 2 and the amount of food we received would have comfortably served 4. I will definitely go back.

6 of us dined here for a friends birthday.I was a bit worried as last time the food was terrible. This time the food was much better. Not the best Thai I have ever tasted but it was a nice meal.

I’ve been a customer of Pad Thai for many years now, but the service and quality we experienced on our recent visit fell very short of the mark. Sadly my experience wasn’t as enjoyable as prior visits.We ordered drinks when we first arrived, but they took 20 minutes to arrive. When my friend went to take a sip from her glass, she noted lipstick marks on her glass.The starters and mains we had were pretty average. I’ve had the same dishes there in the past and I don’t think they’re as good as they once were.I wish I had taken a photograph of the sweet menu as the vast majority of it had been crossed out as unavailable, so I opted for a fresh mint tea instead. When it arrived, it was a tea bag tea, so not fresh mint. I at least thought it would have been peppermint tea, but no, I’d been given a Green Tea. When I questioned this, I was told fresh mint tea was also unavailable off of the menu and that the menu should also have noted that. Based on tonights meal, and the quality of food we’ve experienced in their take aways over the past months I’d rather travel further afield for Thai Food.

You could easily miss Pad Thai which is located above the The Red Lion. I have been here a few times with friends and family and the service and food have been brilliant each time. Having visited Thailand I can safely say this is the closest I have had to the food I experienced whilst in the country.
