Pad Thai Story in Wandsworth

The food here is so disappointing. It is the most inauthentic and westernised Thai food I’ve ever had the misfortune to try. Som tum lacked any punch, spice or lime. Sent back, and asked for genuine version it did come back with a lot more heat and flavour. Then I had the drunken noodles which, having had it in Thailand, I was expecting a total flavour bomb of sour, hot, salty, sweet…. Sadly, the only flavour was sweet and sticky, like a basic hot sin (I know that’s not Thai but it’s the closest I can come to describing the dross I was served). I would never come back unless you want full, toned down, hybrid ‘Asian’ cooking which is about as close to Thai as pie and mash.

We were kindly fitted in last minute before the ladies were getting ready to close. The food was divine and the service was great. I had the vegan green Thai curry and my partner had the chicken green Thai curry- both with egg fried rice. Absolutely delicious! With plenty of veggies. A place we shall definitely be making a return to- the atmosphere made it

Really good good food. One of the best green Thai prawn curry I've eaten. Had the duck crispy spring rolls too. Good prices and good service. I will return whenever I'm in the area.

Incredible food! Every dish that arrived had ample servings and looked mouthwatering. The Pad Med and Rice, the assorted broiled seafood over linguine, and the Green Curry and Rice—all mouthwateringly good! It's a shame they ran out of Pad Thai Vegan, but we were delighted we dined here. Our wonderful waitress was Daniela.

Love the food here, as close to Thailand as you can get without jumping on a plane. I’ve been to many local Thai places in SW and these guys are the best. Crispy calamari my favourite along with the duck rolls. Vegan pad see ew, excellent with lots of crunchy veggies, pad thai both with and without duck delicious. Reasonable prices and they have good lunchtime deals. Highly recommend if you’re in or near Wandsworth!

Best Thai meal that I have outside of Thailand itself. The Duck main course was perfect. Weather was also kind for our outside seating.

I could write an awful lot about our recent experience at this establishment, but won’t waste my time. I doubt whether the restaurant is interested in reviews or in trying to improve their service, as they are located in a prosperous neighbourhood with a high footfall of people heading to and from Wandsworth Town station. The location is handy and the food OK, so they can take for granted that there will always be a steady stream of customers. However, the service is dreadful: impersonal and indifferent to the point of being rude. While we were still finishing our meal, three members of staff were banging and crashing around us, frantically cleaning, sweeping, wiping and mopping! It’s only a tiny one room place, so all this activity was very unpleasant and disconcerting. One member of staff actually swept under my feet at the table and another nearly hit my partner on the head with her mop handle! Their behaviour was so obvious and rude that it was almost funny - but the joke turned sour when we were handed a bill for over £70 for a merely adequate meal, including £8 service charge. We wish we had challenged that, but they didn’t look like the sort of people you’d want to argue with! As we were leaving, I slipped on the floor, still wet from all the mopping - the staff didn’t even notice, they were so intent on leaving. I completely get that this isn’t the place to go for a leisurely, relaxed meal, but we were clearly pleasant, unassuming (and sober) customers and could have been shown more respect. The only good thing I can say is that the place must be extremely clean!

The food is tasty and the service was good. I highly recommend the prawn dumplings, vegetable spring rolls and duck pad Thai. Will be back.

Best Thai in south London. I’ve been to many and this beats them hands down. Excellent pad thai which is their speciality. Lovely friendly staff and well priced drinks. Love it!

For starters, chicken satay and duck spring rolls were very tasty, highly recommend. Mains wise, that was the worst pad Thai I’ve ever eaten. Largely tasteless, and contained huge chunks of basically raw cauliflower. Ambience was nice. Service underwhelming.

Came here on a Saturday night with 13 other friends and we were all so impressed! The best Thai food I’ve had for a very long time! We ordered a mix of mains and starters and they were all so good! The service was attentive and with the size of the table pretty swift. Definitely recommend!

Wow. We went to the above Thai Restaurant for a Late Diner,, Very cosy Restaurant with a nice Ambience, As soon as we entered we were greeted by a Waitress and shown to our seats, then promptly asked what we would like to drink, we Scanned the QRS CODE, to view the Menu and we ordered a few dishes, Starters and Mains. Food arrived, sefitky and it was SO SO TASTY. As for our Main Course I had Prawn Phad Thai, really tasty and a nice light dish. Honestly we have been to a lot of Thai Restaurants, but this one was really AUTHENTIC, Well worth a visit and on a Positive note, prices were very reasonable,, We will be back for sure, Thanks.
