Pad Thai Live in Gravesham

We had travelled to Thai Fusion in Sittingbourne for lunch only to find they were closed. So we ended up popping to Pad Thai Live in Dockside Chatham instead as I was craving some Thai food and to be honest, it worked out to be better in the end. They say things happen for a reason.The premises isn’t a ‘restaurant’ as it’s clearly a street food type of place but the food offered was amazing. Not expensive at all but that didn’t mean the quality suffered. We did overindulge a bit but what the hell, it was sooo good. Red curry, Massamam curry, Pad Thai, crackers and Thai Iced Tea…. couldn’t fault it. As good as or better than we’ve had in any restaurant including in Thailand itself. Nice friendly staff too. I’d rather come here in basic surroundings but with great food and friendly staff than some overpriced, posh looking eatery with mediocre food any day of the week.

Visited the market and came across this restaurant. Decided to give it a try, I had the pad ka POW, wow what a great taste. The portions are a good size too. Definitely will be back when next in the area.

A surprise visit to Gravesend saw us ordering the sticky pork and pad thai noodles withprawns. lovely flavour, served up on plates within minutes and £11 including a bottle of water! will be coming back. the taste of the noodles was lovely. clean seating area and a nice background of music playing.

I discovered pad Thai live by accident and I’ve never looked back. The food is freshly cooked to order, seasoned perfectly, tastes, smells and looks fantastic! I love the place and can’t rate it highly enough. If you want fresh authentic Thai this is the place to go.

Ordered a curry and some satay chicken for collection, I paid when I arrived. Food was ready and was good but the prices online were £1.75 more per dish compared to if I had ordered when I got there. How can this be justified?! Won't be ordering online again!!

I have been a vegetarian all my life so was extremely upset to get half way through what was supposed to be a VEGAN thai green curry only to find several lumps of chicken in it. It was not the wrong order - they just clearly cooked the curry with no care whatsoever to ensure that it was not mixed up with meat. I am absolutely appalled and will never eat from there again. If something like that can happen, then it shows that no vegan or vegetarian is safe trusting what they order. I phoned up to complain and the man was apologetic but so what. He didn't offer a refund and I didn't ask for one as that is not what is upsetting about this, it is the fact that I inadvertently consumed meat to my absolute horror. However, it is probably the least that they should offered.

Around the end of November, I purchased an online order of £39.50. I received a email receipt and money deducted from my debit.I sent my husband to collect and the woman at the till, asked for payment. My husband did not think, but the woman would have known that it was payed for if she did her job.I called immediately and requested a refund, sge apologised and admitted mistake and said she’d call the manager to issue refund. No one contacted us from hereon. I emailed Richy the manager 6 times since, and he said he’d issue the refund, I still have not heard from him or seen a refund since.It’s deplorable to have a customer contact you 6 times to ask for their money when the restaurant has made a mistake. Hardly an apology, voucher, or explanation has been uttered.I fear I now must take formal action, which is a shame bc I had enjoyed their food.Shame on you Ricky and shame on you Padthailive staff, you have wasted my money and time. We are locals and will no longer support due to your behaviour.

The Thai food at this place is next to none. I've been to Thailand before and the food is on par with the food there. Proper authentic!

we used pad thai for a long time and have noticed over the last couple of deliveries that the food has got worse the curry is very watery and the taste well no taste,the price is now a joke for what you get plus you then have to pay extra for delivery plus you have to pay an extra 50p for chicken or an extra £1.00 for prawn.rip off time for customers.

Really nice food at a very fare price which came out pretty quickly. Quite a few vegan options. We always go there when in town.

If you want to eat some decent Thai food and not pay silly money this is the one for you. Everything tastes lovely and it's really reasonable. Highly recommended.

Always great food. Very authentic, quick meals and a price you cannot complaint about. Great selection of dishes too.

I know we are in the middle of a pandemic and should be grateful to be served food at all , however two friends and i waited for about an hour and a half to order and the receive our food.As for the food the sticky rice was a solid congealed ball .The satay chicken and sauce was flavourless.And the pork was mainly fat and grissle.i wont be repeating the experience

This place is a hidden gem. The food is all cooked fresh and very tasty. The pad Thai and the duck noodle soup is awesome not to mention the dim sum. Have been here twice in two days!

I love coming here regularly, I generally get the red Thai curry as it is delicious and amazing value for money. Cooked in front of you by Thai ladies. Spotlessly clean. Amazing warm welcome and brilliant service. I tried the panang this time round and I was missing the vegetables that are in the red curry. Will go back to that next time as it’s a winner

This is a little gem within the confines of the indoor market. The food is cooked to order and each time I have visited, has tasted lovely, full of flavour, generous portions, piping hot and excellent value for money. I would thoroughly recommend Pad Thai Live to anyone who enjoys good Thai food.

Thai ‘kiosk’ in Gravesend market. Really good value, decent portions and freshly cooked. We had a Panama Curry and Pad ka-pow and they were both delicious. Lots of flavour and nicely spiced. We will be back...

Having been to Thailand 28 times i often think thai food in uk is bland but just at larb gai and rice and it was lovely. At only £5.50 nice price too will be trying masaman curry next time. Aloy aloy mak mak

OK,Pad Thai Live is a great advert that Thai food does not have to be expensive to be FANTASTIC.I eat a lot of Thai food and this place nailed it.Come along if you dont like it I will eat my words.It's cheap, fresh, cooked in front of you & family run. What more do you need. Try it

I had to admit, I was sceptical. This place is in the back end of a covered market in Gravesend, and the setting is far from glamorous. But the prawn pad thai was better than some I have had in considerably more expensive restaurants. The service was cheerful and the whole experience was fun.

Amazing duck noodles and really reasonable. Really surprised and in a good way. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

In Kent, this is probably as close as you get to traditional Bankok market food. Each meal is freshly cooked on griddle and wok and served hot to your table immediately. Rice is included and the maximum dish price is £5.00 and my Red Thai curry was absolutely delicious.

The owners are friendly and professional. They were about to close but they took my order. Very nice of them. I ordered the pad mix chicken n shrimp noodles and thiagher chicken burger and miasma curry chicken. All to go and arriving home the food were still hot and very yummy The food all were made fresh and in front of you. Defo recommend. Thank you guys

Been here a few times as the food helps me reminisce of my time spent in Thailand. Although the portions don't look big, they fill you up. Fantastic price and as close as you'll get to authentic taste as you can. Every time I'm in Gravesend I'll visit, I only wish they were open longer.

Popped in here for lunch due to recommendations from family and friends. It lived up to the hype. Really good food, great portion sizes and very reasonable price. Plus it’s all cooked fresh to order. Highly recommend

Lovely Thais eatery. Only stopped to pick up the food to take away, but they never disappoint. Pad Thai and papaya salad are fantastic.

Lovely food, quickly prepared and the red curry was perfect. Pad Thai was light but filling. Fed two of us for about £10.

Me and my partner go there many times. The food is excellent my favourite is their red curry and spring rolls. Very friendly staff. Seems to be getting popular now prices are very reasonable.

Came in for a quick bite to eat, between us we had Pad Thai, Massamum curry and Thai Green curry - all incredibly tasty and fresh. Service was great, quick and friendly.Reasonable price for lunch.Can’t wait to visit again for for Pad Thai Live to start delivering as far as us.

Came for lunch due to the reviews. Spent £16. Portions very small. No flavour. Pad Thai Prawn for one and Pad Thai Chicken for others. Both not tasty at all. Spring rolls better - but we love Thai. This was not the best experience though. Took ages to come. It is trying to be a noodle house - but this does not live up to many others we have been to. Been and had street food in Thailand - but this is nothing at all like it. Sorry folks - but go elsewhere.

I had prawn and chicken pad Thai and my partner had the Thai green curry. £11 with a drink. Best Thai I’ve ever had. All fresh and they didn’t skimp on the shrimp and meat. Worth noting is the number of Thai people eating there. I will definitely return again and again

Dropped into gravesend market to have a nose round and decided to have lunch in pad thai live, it was lovely, freshly prepared amd really tasty. Recommended, definitely not the last time we eat here.

The food and service were amazing. Really friendly staff who knew what they were talking about when discussing dietary requirements. The prices are mind blowing! Much cheaper than a traditional Thai restaurant.

Great spot to recharge when you're in town. The food is lovely and so are the staff. Good little pit stop, much better than getting a panini from a coffee shop! We had dim sum, massuman curry, spring rolls and chicken satay.

Just finished delicious chicken noodle lunch to go. Make a refreshing change from the local fry ups, which I’m happy to indulge in from time to time but this was tasty and freshly cooked. And it came with extra peanut sprinkles, chopsticks and a chilli boost in a pack.

We had Pad Thai noodles yesterday for lunch, it was delicious and so fresh. Lovely people cooking and serving, we will definitely be back.

walking through gravesend market i was not expecting to find this place at the end of the walk, So happy as i love thai food! everything was cooked fresh and had gluten free and vegan options. service was so nice and food was very good! happy to see a thai street style food quick and tasty lunch!

After a few meals here we are hooked. The freshness is wonderful — the whole family enjoys the dishes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We’re thrilled this place exists in Gravesend and it’s our new “takeaway”— we get it to go in the day and reheat at night. Yum! (Top tip— enjoy a Thai iced tea while you wait! Mmmmmm!)

Visited yesterday with my sister after seeing a recommendation on Facebook. Our lunch was absolutely delicious! We had the crispy Dim Sum and satay chicken to start, they came with dipping sauces and they were only £3.50 each which I thought was very well priced. The red curry was sold out so I went for the green curry and my sister had the massaman curry which were both £4.50 including the rice which was very cheap for the quality and size of the meals. The service was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and I will be returning soon to try the red curry!

We have eaten here twice now and both times it has been a tasteful experience. Pad Thai noodles to die for. The food is fresh and perfect portions that are reasonably priced. Customer service is on point 👌🏻. We definitely will be back. 😃

What a little gem! Popped into the market in Gravesend and this is a lovely little pop up Thai street food stall with simple but beautifully executed food - pad Thai, green curry, duck soup bowl, Massaman curry, spring rolls and dumplings. Perfectly delicious and cooked on site. Rice was good, noodles yummy. Very cheap and the portions are street-sized which is just right. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Closed Monday's. If you love Thai food and are in Gravesend don't miss it!
