Very nice pastries and some of the best coffee I have had in a long time! The people who owned it were very nice- we hope to come back for pizza one day :)

I’m leaving this review as the owners reply to Adam Fitchetts review was personal, dismissive and full of incorrect info. I was in Adam’s party and have some feedback: 1. We were never told there would be 1 hour wait for food. I was told there would be a wait, but I was given no time frame. We expected a long restaurant wait of around an hour - we waited 1 hour 40. 2. The food wait would have been perfectly fine if we were able to get drinks, but we had to wait over an hour for drinks, whilst others who ordered significantly after us were receiving their drinks. I sat for over 1 hour with no food, no drink and had to reorder my drink twice before it was finally made which was not an easy task as the bar was so busy and the queue was not being prioritised in waiting order. 3. Complaining as the owner put it, AKA leaving an honest review, is not and never will be rude. As a customer you should always feel empowered to provide honest feedback based on a paid experience. There was no way of giving feedback directly to the owner on site on his busiest Saturday night ever, as he was not present. I’d imagine he was present on site the day after to collect the money we paid though, which happened to be over £300. 4. There was absolutely no shouting at staff from our group. People reading this review will decide whether to take my word, but my friends, my partner and I are polite people, most of whom have spent time working as bar staff so understand what it is like to be under significant pressure on a busy bar. I would never shout at server, and I personally expressed on every interaction that our experience was not the staffs fault. They clearly were not given the correct training, the number of staff was incorrect and the simple processes that a business like this needs were not put in place by leadership. It is absolutely the problem of the owner, not the staff. This was even expressed to us by a local customer who runs a business nearby who chipped in to support the staff by collecting glasses and serving drinks. 5. I am disgusted by the owners comment suggesting that as paying customers we ruined the night for 100 other customers. Our experience was ruined by the owners inability to plan, define processes and lead his business correctly. We tried to join in with the atmosphere and have a nice time even though we were hungry and thirsty. I watched another set of customers walk out before their food was served so we were not the only ones who suffered. Putting the blame onto customers for me is very telling of the owner as a person and explains the reason our experience was so poor. Good luck, I hope this business figures it out as it has potential to be really special like the rest of Ashburton is.

They had an absolute nightmare the night we visited. There was a band on and the venue became busy. There were not enough staff and they did not have a system to deal with the service in a busy environment. We waited over an hour and a half for food and and over an hour for drinks! Unfortunately, the food and drinks were not good enough to make up for this. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had and I felt quite bad for the staff who we under immense pressure. We called in advance to ask if they could accommodate us and the answer should have been "No." I am quite upset that I spent over 40 GBP on an experience that ruined the night for our group. Edit due to response below: We were told about the delay on the food. We weren't expecting an hour delay on drinks. It was much longer than we were informed and many items were missing, some drinks turned up, others didn't. I never received the garlic bread I ordered and paid for. I reject the story of us shouting at staff, staff crying and us being disrespectful. This did not happen, perhaps you are thinking of a different table? There were many people upset that night and I did witness a man shouting about his drink not arriving, but that was not our group. All we were asking is if we could have the food and drinks we had paid for, as politely as we could, although I don't doubt there was a little frustration in our tone. It was really awkward for us to have to keep asking for the items that we had paid for and were missing. I understand the difficulties and I'm sure your staff were trying their hardest, but that doesn't change the fact that we had a bad experience.

5 stars for great service from a really friendly team. The pizzas are simple (not freshly prepared bases) but a decent range of toppings are on offer. The arancini was tasty. Good for a quick bite to eat. Added bonus for dog owners - it’s dog friendly!

Really nice pizza, a decent selection of beers and cocktails, very friendly atmosphere. Plenty of options for those not drinking also, and non alcoholic cocktails are priced very reasonably (around £2.40)

I couldn’t disagree more with the previous review. I have never tasted pizzas as exceptional as the ones here at Pachanga, lovely atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff and the owner Davide is the nicest man you could meet. People don’t be put off by negative comments, this is theeee place to go for a fun evening. Love you Pachanga xxxx

Awful pizza - any cheap shop bought pizza would be better! Not even a bit of salad garnish, thick wet base, thick wet cheese (sent back to re cook but still the same after) served on wooden boards that had deep cuts in them so hopefully veggie/vegan pizza boards are kept seperate from the meat ones! Hard, cold metal joke stools that meant we were almost head height with the table. One staff member in particular really poor customer service, no staff skilled enough to respond well to dissatisfied customers and no manager present. Staff vaping in the courtyard blows through into the cafe/bar, small overpriced cocktails other people also commenting about. Needs rethinking in a town full of excellent eateries.

The manager of this pub has the most unprofessional manner of conducting themselves on social media platforms. After having never been to this pub, to be privately message asking if my daughter (who there are no pictures of on said profile) had left her glasses there? To think how does she know I have a daughter, and that my daughter wears glasses. Who has my daughter in a pub, why have they removed her glasses. VERY unprofessional

Friendly village pub. Stayed for a couple of nights. Room was a bit tired and damp. If you are on business and want to have breakfast you will probably be out of luck as it is served between 9-10am. Good selection of ales and cider. Everything just a bit sticky.
