Super quiet place, staff were very helpful and great at picking up on social cues (unlike me lol) and food was ready faster than they predicted. Will be here many more times in the future!

Been 5 years since I went here and nothing has changed, terrible price terrible portions. Large chicken meat and chips £9.95 a large and there wasn't much chicken, all in tiny bits no chunks and it wasn't fresh as it was rubbery. I would of took it back if I wasn't already home. Absolutely Disgusting. Never again.no one was in there at 5 o'clock so that says it all.

If u like microwave food, u will love it here. Bought a ie and chips and they microwaved the pie lol, the sogginess of the pie is shocking. Really poor food, drive past is my advice

Bought mini fish and chips and small Donner kebab in pita bread. The fish was powder dry god knows when it was cooked. Pitta bread was like rubber. Supposed to come with salad there was 3 pieces of onion 2 tomato slices. All this yours for £18.95. please avoid this place go to a normal chip shop absolute disgrace to the profession.

Overall, it isn't bad, but prices are incredible for a mix kebab without chips. I haven't even noticed that comes without chips... disappointed :(

Absolutely outstanding service & value everything cooked fresh on ordering the fish just melts in the mouth & the chips are always tasty. My son is a fussy eater & he loves the chicken burgers. Staff are always pleasant & happy to chat even when busy & still deliver a great service. Really can't fault anything about this chippy

Food was appalling worst I’ve had in a long time from any chip shop nothing cooked had to wait ages and food still tasted like it was from night before

I ordered through Uber eats. I had to wait until 4 minutes before it's max time. I was left with almost completely cold food. The scallop although hot was unseasoned even though I asked for salt on everything and the chips had clearly been left a while and so almost cold and so had to throw most of it away because of this. According to the delivery guy, the store asked him to wait which I'm guessing was to wait for the scallop to cook fresh but as a result the chips were awful. It wasn't even far to deliver so should have been piping hot.

I use this chippy regularly just had cod chips peas. Cod fine chips shocking Luke warm at best

The chips were hard, the fish was shocking! size of 2 fish fingers and tasted nasty, it's a shame I remember this place being top tier well won't be making that mistake again p.s you forgot my curry sauce but honestly you did me a favour 👌

Went for chips and curry sauce COST A FRICKING FIVER! Then they proceeded to wrap my chips, considering I'm coming at lunch time - use your brain? Avoid, food tastes like cardboard and for the money, 100% not worth it! The one in town is much much better, should of gone there as ended up throwing food in the bin, FOUL!!

After moving to the West Midlands from North Lincolnshire 18 months ago we have sampled a few ‘local’ chippies and this is certainly the best we’ve had. I really liked the fact the food was cooked fresh to order and we didn’t walk into a top box full of food that could’ve been sat a while. Also very pleased to get some scraps (or batter bits as I’ve learned they’re called here). All the staff were extremely friendly too. Will certainly be returning 🐟🍟😊.

not happy with my order. my curry sauce and Mushy peas were on one quarter full. I order regularly from just eat. the lack of peas and curry sauce which I paid for is very disappointing

Used to be our go-to order on Uber eats or pop in when passing and used them regular but prices especially online/uber have gone through the roof recently and we’ve started using elsewhere for better value. Never had an issue with the food

How an establishment has the nerve to charge these prices for these portions I don’t know. 16 quid for a large cod and chips served in a ten inch box with a 6 inch fish that would be a mini fish anywhere else, over a tenner for kebab meat and chips in a 6x6 box as big as the palm of my hand the same size as the kids cod bite meals. 48 quid total one fish and chips two kebab meat and chips and two kids boxes. Quality is ok and it’s the only chippy in town open on a Sunday. Feel robbed. Review deleted from just eat somehow. Unreal.

never had a bad meal ..but I'm abit disappointed tonight as I ordered the beef burger box meal ( chips and drink) but when I received my order it was only the burger and drink no chips .. I had a look on my order to make sure and I had ordered the box meal which cost 11.65! so not really happy as had to do my own chips 😕

Can't believe how expensive this chip shop has got. 3.50 for a small portion of chips. And yes very small portion. See attached. Will not be returning! Rip off. Chips were also luke warm, I live less than 2 mins away! So served warm!

I'm shocked at the price on Sunday night, 1 large fish and small fish that was so small , 1 roe that was a tin one nothing there and chips £24, you had to pay before they cooked them the small fish was just a joke, I wouldn't go back again,£24 🙄🙄 I'm shocked your still open, I will definitely be going to hooked on fish in the future sorry

£9 for a kebab in pitta. 100% microwaved pitta, pretty certain microwaved kebab meat. Smallest kebab in my life and most expensive! I asked if there was more meat in the pitta than the wrap, id hate to see the wrap. £9 lumch still starving

Massively over priced for the portion size. Fully aware of the price of everything going up buy genuinely small portions for a £15 meal(s), cannot be justified. Quality of the food is good but the portion to price ratio was way off.

Chips were OK, battered sausage was fine but the halloumi burger is not a burger it's 3 halloumi fries on a stale long life bun with no salad or sause on. Very disappointed for the money.

First time ordering and have to say food was delicious 😋 delivered hot and fresh and very tasty, had big fish and regular chips, all tasted freshly cooked, batter on the fish was very thin and delicious 🤤 with lovely fluffy white fish inside. only disappointment was my bread and butter was missing 😢 missed out on my chip butty, however not letting that deter me from ordering again, my new go to chippy😊👍 delivery driver was polite and came upstairs which was great, thanks to him too 😊

Couldn't hear the arrival of the delivery man, neither from the doorbell nor the knocker. He phoned me, and that was fine. The food was luke warm on arrival and cooled immediately on the plate.

Decided to pop in while driving in the area. Beautiful chips, very traditional and tasty. It’s getting rarer to get chips like these anymore. Will definitely return!

Was just passing when we decided to stop and try this place. We were served promptly and with a smile and the owner was more than happy to help us with any questions we had. Food was amazing!!! The fish fell apart and the scampi was unreal. We live in central Birmingham and have already said we will travel back here. 100% recommend

Potion of chips and a pie £8.45 absolutely gobsmacked at the price... Way more than every other local chipshop. Wont be returning. When i leave reviews, i do honest reviews on Google, TripAdvisor, Facebook and other social platforms. And after reading other reviews on here, it would seem this owner doesn't like reviews. For the owner to question whether i have been to his shop or not, perhaps i suggest you to check your till receipts. Dont like reviews perhaps take your company off social media platforms.

Donner meat was cold and well over cooked, tasted like it had been stood in a pot for a long time

Just enjoyed our fantastic fish and chips. The best in the area, real chips and very tasty fresh fish We have been using this fish and chip shop for the last last ten years or more.

2 girls serving was polite friendly and done a top job.. the food however was served cold and wet.. had a mixed chicken kebab and literally put one mouthful in and spat it back out as it was stone cold. Took food back to try to resolve and they offered my a cone of chips £2.50 for a replacement of the £7.50 mixed chicken kebab. Ollie the manager really isn't concerned about customer service and more about his profit. Avoid save your money and go elsewhere. Added a picture of the food I spat back out because iv noticed the owner Ollie likes to argue these reviews are false. And from reading recent reviews, his quality has dropped significantly recently.

Fish and chips were lovely. Homemade faggots with chips were amazing too apparently.

Cod wasn't the best and chips not as good as they have been sadly there are better chip shops in Halesowen

I live eleven miles away, in Bromsgrove, plenty of more local establishments to buy takeaway food. I come here for the fish and chips Enough said!

Live near Tenbury,, but always call here for "lunch" a couple of times a year on the way from the opticians, always impressive,, the quality of the fish and chips is second to non, due to the way they are cooked in dripping, had lunch today served by the older guy, Paul l think, nice bloke knowledgeable in the food he serves, will certainly continue to go in the future.

Food back on form, delivery driver got lost

Donner was okay, chips are decent, good portion, but the chicken tikka kebab is unreal, one of the best I've tried and 5 stars just for that. Thanks Our Plaice.

I watched the delivery driver and he went completely the wrong way and was sat outside another house for several minutes. We had ordered the food for a specific time and fish and chips is time sensitive (it does not stay hot). We had to re-heat the food as it was not hot when it arrived which spoiled the meal. I have rated the quality 5* simply because we know the food is good from there and it is not their fault the delivery driver spoiled it

We have passed this place many times and have always meant to give it a try. This time we were in the area after 12pm so we pulled in. Great chat with the staff who are really knowlegeable about fish, food, cooking, and fish and chip shops in general. We learnt a lot. We looked forward to trying fish and chips cooked traditionally in beef dripping as we know in terms of flavour and texture, nothing beats this and its a mark of all the best places. Its healthier than Cooking oils too, as it is not a 'converted' machine oil. You can pay a fortune in trendy restraunts for this Well worth the wait for the just cooked produce, and all the best food is never instant. Pricing is good for the amazing quality and variety. Sat outside in the sunshine, and forgot the world as we ate 10/10. Absolutly delicious, we will be back soon to try the rest of the menu!

What a joke. Large chips the size of a kids meal. Kebab and chips for £12 and you give us cone of chips with it. The kebab is smallest I’ve ever seen. Absolutely shocking.

Awful, tried this place for the first time recently, chips dry an tasteless many were black, pastry dry and hard , very over priced was expecting so much better , never again, dont waste your money. Hubby left a review also and was replied to very rudely, his review was after he had eaten some of the meal, but was publicly called a lier, so very rude and unprofessional This is our true experience of this place Owner really should except people opinions on their experiences REPLY Firstly no one has made false accusations, food just simply was not good! Like i have said the review was made AFTER we tried the food, cant review food that has not yet been tasted, please read the review . huband phoned because he thought you had sent the wrong size fish, this was BEFORE he tried the food but was publicly called a lier!!! Please respect peoples reviews with dignity and use it to better your customer service, this it what reviews are there for, i have no reason to make up bad reviews as i gain nothing from it, only to tell other people of my personal experience, i see from other bad reviews that you become very argumentative with the customers, which you have now done with me, this is public and will only draw peoples attention to the review even more, you are very rude and reviews are our personal opinion and experience, and you have made a huge issue of it ,
