Our Place Annan in Dumfries & Galloway

The staff were enthusiastic and friendly and the food was just what we needed after our walk to look at the beautiful Solway Firth. We had the gyros and a very hearty carrot soup.

There was a great welcome; a helpful, friendly way of treating us.

Fantastic atmosphere and amazing food. Genuinely lovely place for a family evening out or a special occasion. They owners really do go the extra mile to make your evening special. Geoff & Julie

Absolutely loved this restaurant. It is beautiful decorated throughout. Love the quirky wallpaper in the toilets. The service was impeccable, lovely friendly lasses. The food was top notch. I highly recommend the risotto. The cocktails were lovely. The only slight niggle... I think the poached pair was quite small, it was more like half a pear cut in 2. The bed of biscuit crumbs I think was a chain brand biscuit. I think it should be homemade shortbread. I would of preferred the chocolate piece to be drizzled over the pear as I'm sure that is what the menu said. Please take this as constructive rather than a complaint. It would definitely be our first choice of restaurant if we visit that area again. Thankyou guys.

First time here with the girls, there were 6 of us. We went for a pre cinema meal, we all had a different meal and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I particularly loved the décor and feel of the place, everything was spotless, including the quirky boutique styled toilet facilities. Highly recommend and I will definitely go back when next in the area.

Had a lovely night out. Atmosphere really lovely and a nice meal to remember. Price very reasonable. We have many restaurants in St Andrews but none to beat Our Place. They could all learn a very good lesson on how to treat, feed and charge customers

Ten of us ate dinner at this restaurant on Sunday night what a place .Everything from friendliness and efficiency of staff to absolutely brilliant food to presentation of food to atmosphere of the place this restaurant has it all.Anyone visiting or staying in Annan please visit this restaurant you certainly won’t be disappointed.I would give it 110%x.

Just a cautionary 'tail' for those with four-legged friends. Popped in on a Friday afternoon, hoping to enjoy a nice meal. We sadly didn't get the opportunity as we had our little dog with us. Our own fault...we hadn't thought to double-check as so many previous reviews mention that dogs are welcome. They are - but only at the outside tables, which wasn't really an option on a wet day in November. The place looked lovely though and the staff were very apologetic. Maybe we'll try again next summer.

10 OF US WENT FOR A MEAL AND A DRINK, THE TOMAHAWK STEAK WAS TO DIE FOR, AND THE REST OF MY FRIENDS SAID THE SAME ABOUT THERE FOOD.AND THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT AS WELL, ALL I CAN SAY IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES I HAVE EATEN IN, WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME. AND WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK.

Beautiful venue, attentive friendly staff and delicious food! We had been staying locally for the weekend and came for a Sunday lunch before the long drive home. Perfect end to our trip - the food was fresh and perfectly cooked, with ample portions. I had beef and my husband had the pork - served with cracking gravy and a perfect Yorkshire pudding. And as Yorkshire folk born and bred we know a good Yorkshire Pud! The pâté starter and sticky toffee pudding dessert were some of the best we’ve ever tasted! Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

On arrival we were greeted by friendly welcoming staff. The decor was very tasteful and restaurant very clean. I ordered the beef stew which was delicious and very filling. My husband and my friend ordered the chicken goujons. They both commented on how tasty it was and good sized portions. Our food was very much value for money. Staff were attentive and very helpful. We would recommend a visit here should you be passing through Annan or staying near by. A lovely restaurant. Thank you

I booked, but went 1.5 hours earlier than planned. The restaurant had just opened for its evening service. They were very amenable to my change of booking, but as I was the first customer of the night I was grateful. The food was really tasty and pleasantly presented. The waiting staff were attentive and efficient. They all scared me with their Halloween outfits. The toilets were impeccably clean and overall every aspect of the restaurant was considered and dazzling. I ate well and was happy to tip for their great food and waiting staff.

Have been here twice over last couple of weeks food is amazing and even got to be there guinea pig on a new starter they are bringing to the menu which was delicious. The 1 thing I would love to see is home made chips not frozen. Great place brilliant staff clean and prices are in line with today's prices great selection of alcohol at the bar also we most definitely will be back very soon

4 of us went for a meal, Was a lovely decorated restaurant! Small issue with the burger being slightly undercooked for my liking . Staff were amazing and was swiftly dealt with in the form of another meal made and it removed from the final bill thank you very much 10/10 service 😀

Fairly quiet being a Thursday evening in October, but the food and the service were fantastic ! We had the Steak Ramen and the Stew, both spot on - would we order the same again ? Absolutely! Would we eat there again ? Already agreed to return in a fortnight. Great espresso martini and the pistachio cheesecake was stonking 👍

We had a fantastic evening at Our Place. The service from when we stepped through the door was brilliant. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much hassle for them. The food was well presented, tasty, and hot, and we didn't have to wait long for anything. Portion sizes were just right for us too. The panzanella I had for the starter was hands down the best presented panzanella dish I've ever had, along with a fresh side salad too! The 'icing on the cake' was the dessert, which was off the specials menu 'a forbidden apple' - so delicious (and quite fancy looking!). We very much look forward to coming back 😊.

We had a superb dinner at this beautifully presented restaurant with friendly staff. There was plenty of variety on the menu, which was clearly annotated for dietary requirements and also a good drinks menu, including local whiskies. We are very happy to recommend Our Place to other visitors to Annan.

My friend and I where taken there for a meal so she could have a get together with relatives on her husband side food was good staff friendly and helpful and a nice small restaurant enjoyed the night.

Every now and again you stumble upon a local gem. Being a wheelchair user I am often anxious about visiting new locations. But I need not have any concerns. Access is great and the es, there even an accessible loo. Happy days. Despite it being lunchtime the atmosphere was nice with good background music. The menu is varied and there is also a Tapas menu. We enjoyed the burgers and a friend recommended the steak pie. Suffice to say the food is wonderful. We found the staff to be great and very hospitable. Very welcoming. Who would have thought Annan would have such a great place to eat?! Just to recap, wheelchairs are welcome!!

My husband and I eloped in Gretna Green and booked Our Place for our evening meal. We had to call twice to push back our reservation and the staff were so accommodating. The restaurant went to a real effort to set up our table which was such a lovely touch. The food and service were incredible and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Thank you so much for making our wedding day that little bit more special.

We got married in Gretna Green and I was looking for a place to eat in the evening and Our Place had a lovely menu. We booked for 16 people and I couldn't have been happier. The staff were lovely and the chef came out and confirmed everyone menu choices. The food was delicious, the presentation was great and everyone enjoyed all their food, including the children. They also had a varied range of vegan meals. The Pavlova was the best I've ever had. If fact, it was so good we went back the next night and had another lovely meal. And as full as we were still had the have the Pavlova again. I can't fault it at all and would highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Cannot praise this place enough. 80th birthday lunch for my dad and everything from the food to the staff was fantastic. The 2 staff who waited on us were just lovely. Friendly and welcoming and my request to pop some decorations on the table so it was a surprise was done beautifully. If you’re in Annan make sure you go! Thanks you so much 🤩

Had a lovely meal here with my partner and a friend. The food and service were both excellent. It's quite small but popular (we visited Monday and it was almost full) so worth booking in advance.

Do not treat their staff well - witnessed a manager belittling a young girl in front of the whole restaurant.

AVOID this restaurant! Made my niece (whos only 19) pay £80 out of her own wages to pay for a customers meal (T bone steak) after the customer refused to pay it as they didnt enjoy it. Surely its the chefs fault who cooked it? 🤔 Bully of a manager no wonder hes no staff left! AVOID!!!!

We went tonight as a party of 13 (our first time), it was brilliant, food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meal, service was absolutely great and the staff were lovely and always smiling could not fault them at all. Thank you for making my partners birthday so memorable with his family 😊

We were up at Anna for the day, seeing friends. We all went for lunch to Our Place, the restaurant is very modern, and stylish. The staff are very professional. The food is excellent and good quality. Value for money 5 star. They charge the menu on a regular basis. Drinks menu is excellent too.

We were well accommodated even when we hadn't booked in advance and spent a very enjoyable evening here. The indoor garden/greenery decor made for a lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent. Portion sizes were very generous! The pie was especially good, as was the sticky toffee pudding.

Went in and reserved a table with fairly late notice on a Saturday, staff are amazing and friendly, the food is very tasty (you have to try the mussels in Thai broth!). Great place to eat when stopping in Annan

Our Place was a fantastic experience. From the stunning decor to the amazing food and not to mention the outstandingly friendly staff. Would highly recommend Our Place to anyone passing or visiting this quaint little village. 5 stars across the board.

Our first visit to Our Place definitely won’t be our last . Lovely atmosphere loved the decor …. Can see how it won a Casual Diner of the year award in 2023 . Good choice on the menu which was plentiful and tasty .

Online table reservations are super easy to use and very convenient. The food was amazing and such a good price for great size portions. Can't wait to go back again!

Made a last minute booking for 2, online for early evening on a Friday. Had the small plate menu, 3 courses for £22. Great service, modern feel yet cosy, and really enjoyed the food. Was a great choice and I will happily return when I next have the chance.
