The Best Turkish restaurant in Ipswich and that I've ever been to. Absolutely delicious food with a friendly, professional and quick service. I cannot recommend it highly enough. (Get the Ottoman platter - you won't regret it!)

Ordered dinner for the family here and not only was the food late there was no single sauce to accompany the food like other Turkish restaurants in the area even with food that should come with sauce. I spoke to one of their guys and the idiot sounded very rude and dismissive on the phone. This is the first and last I will order or eat from here.

Went for meal with family here food was amazing food combo shish was outstanding chicken and lamb was nice and juicy And full of flavour And all dishes were fantastic highly recommended restaurant Will definitely coming again in future

The food was good but the service I received wasn't professional.

I booked a table and the time was changed by the restaurant because we wanted to take our son. They said that they don’t accept children at a certain time, we accepted and went at the earlier time. It then came to booking for valentines night in which I tried to reserve online. The table was cancelled completely despite the table time being the same as previous. When I called up I was told that they won’t allow us to attend because there is a child with us. When I questioned their decision they said they don’t want trouble for the customers. My son is so quiet and well behaved and most adults act worse than him, wouldn’t even notice him sitting there! Absolutely appalled at the attitude of this restaurant and the discrimination against people. I will not be going back here at all disgusting behaviour and you’re never getting my money again! If my child was poorly behaved I would be responsible and not try to book a table somewhere!

Lovely atmosphere firstly is this place, service was very quick and food was great! Would definitely recommend it to anyone, easily the best Turkish food I’ve had in a long while.

By far the best turkish food you can find, had a table of 11 and not a single comment other than Amazing! The mezze to start was superb, great authentic dishes with so much flavour i could have eaten everything on the table. The mixed grill was on another level, cooking it over the charcoals gave such a beautiful taste, the meat was juicy and tender didnt even need a knife with the lamb shish. I would recommend this to everyone and we will all definitely be returning soon deserves 6 stars

Ottoman special is the best chicken dish I have tasted for years. Wonderful service. But of a wait for food. Fantastic drinks menu, all Turkish wine, cranberry juice too. My husband had the Shish Kebab which was beautifully tender. Crockery is very well suited to what your eating. Very nice meal and reasonable at £55 (for two people).

An annual visit as a birthday meal now for the past 7 years, and I've never been disappointed.. We always leave satisfied and well fed..

We enjoy the food at this place. The hummus is soft, creamy, tasty. The bread is soft and oiled. The spicey crunchy starter is delicious. The chicken is grilled and it has the flavour of the grill, and it's moist and flavoursome. The side salad is a must, very tasty, chopped finely and a good mix of salad

Visiting the area to exhibit at an event - had a Google to see what might be close to my accommodation and this came up - so I went off the reviews. . Excellent food. Great service. We didn't eat a lot - the chef's selection mezze and a starter with a glass of wine ... it was perfect. Generous portions with delicious food (great babaganoush and amazing octopus!!) I'll be back in July.

Went here with a friend for the first time on a Friday evening, the staff were very friendly. Despite it being busy food and drink service was very quick. Prices reasonable for what you get, and quality of the food and drink was good. I will be going back!

Every time I go here it just gets better. The food is superb. I usually have Sarma Beyti with lamb and it's so tasty. Tonight the service was great, it was busy so we expected a bit of a wait but it was no problem. Fantastic quality food.

Service is always attentive and paced quite slow, however its perfect for nights out, it only appears slow to us because we often go straight after work, normally after missing lunch.. last nights seabass was Massive and expertly cooked as always. Mixed mezze, again amazing and the lamb chops melt in your mouth.. the entire meal was faultless x

Came here for a date Was great atmosphere and good service The food was lovely but I had better when it comes to Turkish dining. The mixed grill was a bit dry and I couldn't finish it but everything else was tasty when it comes to main food. The dessert wasn't to my taste, I picked the warm baklava triangle and it wasn't great, but that's probably just my taste buds. Overall a nice place to visit for a date and definetly give it a shot :).

Last visited in January 2023 for my birthday. My favourite restaurant in Ipswich, but it is a treat to indulge in 3 courses. The Manager is a wizard in terms of juggling tables, as well as welcoming and efficient. Booked for mid May.

Food is really tasty. The Beyti is my favourite so far. Been twice in a week. Lovely

First visit and it won’t be the last. Tasteful decor, the smell of charcoal from the show grill transported me to a very good place and from then on every dish was executed to perfection. The flavours, the tastes were on point perfect for a special occasion. The starters were to share (prawns, squid, and babaganush) with a Turkish beer. as for main a very tasty well cooked mixed grill and a superb red wine from northern Turkey. Only when I thought couldn’t get any better in the dessert came. The owner decided for us to have the most amazing pistachio pudding I have ever had. Left as a very happy man only to return very soon.

Booked online for 5 of us for 20:30 on a Thursday night (we were staying locally for a funeral so wanted a place to meet up) Great communication and booking was confirmed. Unfortunately some of our party said they may be late. Contacted the restaurant, who advised last orders were at 21:00. Very helpful to know. Late afternoon /early evening called me to confirm we would be there on time, which we were. Service and food was excellent. We had the platter for 4 (and added a couple of meze) there was more than enough for the 5 of us. The pistachio ice cream was fantastic, as was the traditional Turkish pancakes. A good choice of wines across the price spectrum helped to keep the costs reasonable.

Food was brilliant it tastes amazing well cooked, great customer service, the only problem was the portion size of the food, lack of sauce and not much option for non-alcoholic drinks.

Good location, nicely decorated, good service and lovely food. A bit noisy when we were there as there were a couple of large parties in, but that aside we had a lovely time and will be going back. Also interested to see that they do a take away service too.

First time visiting this restaurant and I was not disappointed. Lovely greeting at the door by staff and walking to our seats, the restaurant was buzzing with happy diners and fragrant Turkish food and ambient music in the background. I am a novice to the foods, but my friend I was with and the owner Husaiyn were on hand to guide on what to choose. We ordered houmous and flat breads, olives, calamari and spicy sausage as a shared starter.....delicious! For mains I had a lamb dish and my friend a chicken dish. Such burst of flavours and smells....heaven. I was asked by Husaiyn would I return,- it was a big YES! I have to add that the staff were lovely.

A tempting smell hits you as soon as you step out of the car in the car park. The restaurant is slightly unusually situated out of town, but you should definitely make the effort to get there. The ambiance is excellent and the layout is welcoming. Having checked that our table wasn’t being ‘turned’, we decided to take our time ordering and that was a great decision. We ordered in stages and were able to sit back and relax. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. Very highly recommended restaurant.

I am so disappointed to be writing this as all other times we have been to this restaurant we loved it, it was our favourite place to eat it is a New Year’s Eve tradition of ours to eat here. Unfortunately my partner booked the table for the wrong restaurant turns out there’s one in Newcastle too, the waiter found this hilarious and said there are no tables we would have to sit at the grill ( annoying but fair enough not their fault) I have recently had a baby and I was sweating due to the heat coming from the grill and hormones after 25 minutes the waiter saw to us and I asked if there is anything they could possibly do and he said no and walked off. He never came back to take our order. Didn’t even ask if we would like a drink, just sat there struggling with the heat, thirsty and hungry whilst staring at a menu and being treated like we wasn’t there. Found the customer service to be very bad and I have been put off coming back. This is the first time ever I’ve had to walk out of a restaurant without eating, after 45 minutes of no drink order being taken we left.

Food was absolutely delicious, something different to try and clearly well cooked with lots of flavour. Server's were all polite and in particular there was a female server who was very happy and bubbly, everything was also bought out to us very quickly. Atmosphere was good as it was quiet most of the time but even when it got busy you were sat far enough away from others that you still felt you had your small privacy bubble. Very cosy and relaxing, would definitly go back another time and recommend it to our family and friends!

The Ottoman restaurant is a fantastic Turkish restaurant found of the Woodbridge road on the east side of Ipswich. Service there is always excellent and it is one of our favourite restaurants.

Love this place, it is a regular for myself and a friend - we always go for the sharing platter and the food is just incredible. The service is great from the owner who is very attentive and friendly - always has a laugh with us and the food comes out really quickly! Love it!

Food is solid, always has been. However I find the head honcho increasingly rude. No element of customer service and I’ve had this on two separate occasions. Once with a friend and another whilst with my partner. Shame as it’s just down the road from us.

I visited this restaurant with my daughter and daughter-in-law. It was absolutely excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

From service to food, from ambiance to saying our goodbyes, if I could give 20 stars it wouldn’t touch the sides as to how much I recommend Ottoman’s Restaurant. Second time here to celebrate a friends birthday, midweek (and busy!) 6 of of us have never felt more looked after. A little hidden gem in Ipswich that should definitely be your top food stop to eat at.

Our first time in the Ottoman, Atmosphe was amazing and full which was a indercautuon of that the resurantant had good food and good reappertation. All the staff was friendly and had a friendly approach with their customers. Our meal was gorgeous and will differently be going back.

We had a fantastic time last night at this wonderful restaurant. Great communication via Messenger prior when not only did I book the table but also advised about the large car park at rear. Lovely friendly welcome. Given plenty of time to study the menu. The food was not only hot but so tasty and great portions. Wonderful flavours. Struggled to finish but managed 1 dessert - omg so sweet and yummy. We enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening

We've been to a few Turkish restaurants in Ipswich - this one is definitely the best. The service is absolutely excellent. Really friendly and efficient. We had a few dietary requirements in our party too, and all were accommodated no problem. The food is incredible....

Absolutely shocking! Ordered on UberEats for a collection around 6pm for a collection around 8pm so 2 hours in advance yet they messed up! Went to collect the order and according to the staff the order was sent for delivery what???!! A collection order for collection sent for delivery how can this be??! Definitely not the brightest bunch. Not sure what they’re playing at but I wouldn’t recommend at all and 1 star is far too generous.

This has to be my 4th visit so far within the last 2 months visiting. I just have to point out that the Steak they do is the best tasted in a very very long time! Not only the steak was full of Flavour but...

Having previously enjoyed a takeaway from the Ottoman, my first ever experience of Turkish cuisine, I suggested to a friend we went there for a meal. We both enjoyed it very much, and she's an excellent cook and difficult to please. But the food was excellent and the service very attentive so I have no hesitation recommending the Ottoman.

The cleanest, most welcoming and intimate restaurant in town! Best turkish coffee. The tastiest food, from starters to dessert, everything looks and tastes delicious and is served in a very short time. The hosts are welcoming and smiling. Everything is superlative! Congratulations!!

This is no normal ‘chippy’! These guys work too hard to satisfy everyone and that alone deserves recognition, but then the quality of their food is just the best which is why I travel so far to go there knowing I am going to receive the best customer service and best quality food from so far around. The staff are always so welcoming, the restaurant is always so clean and good looking with plenty of parking available to the rear, and also the prices are so fair - 10/10

Food good, everything else very very poor , service Poor , had to wait 1hour45 minute for main course to arrive !!!! With a don’t care attitude,over priced for Cash and carry produce, faulty tower attitude, Would not recommend unless desperate!!

I will never eat at another Turkish restaurant because this one is the BEST!!!! I’ve been 3 times in 2 weeks it’s that good! Staff are so lovely and kind. The food is some of the best tasting food I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend enough!
