First visit to OBB. Left 200% impressed. Had the soft shell crab bao with salad and sweet potatoe fries, along with an iced tea with crushed dates. There was something very special about the sauce in the bao, really binding ingredients together, delicious! Service perfect. Fab lunch & brilliant find while shopping in Uxbridge! Thank you 🐼

A nice little place nestled in a quiter corner of Uxbridge. Decor is really cute, and the menu items look appetising. Food was good - we had the prawn tempura rice bowl, which came with little corn fritters and tamago (egg), the tofu kare udon soup, and a chicken cutlet and a soft shell crab bao. The bread of the bao wasn't as fresh as it could've been, and similarly the softshell crab was fishy. Overall, a nice little cafe. I'd go back but not for gua bao.

(New menu attached below) Amazing food, even though the entire menu tastes good, the lamb rice bowl, fish cake green curry, egg bao and chicken wonton soup are probably my favourite. The baos have a great variety of fillings with such a good blend of flavours. Atmosphere is very homely and the people are lovely. Highly recommend as a solo date and also with friends and family.

This is my favourite restaurant in Uxbridge by a country mile. Service is friendly and the room is cozy and calm, but the food... the food. The steamed buns are fluffy and more than firm enough to handle the delicious fillings they're stuffed with. Everything from the egg tuck, sweet and tasty, to the spicy lamb (which is JUST spicy enough and doesn't hit too hard) is delicious and well-priced, and the salad/sweet potato fries that can be added to your order are excellent. The wakfu salad dressing in particular has a great flavour to it. While the bao are the main event, the same fillings can be had in big rice bowls, or you might order some of their perfectly balanced spicy tofu & coconut soup to start off with. Or even just two bao, which is my current go-to. My favorite order - start with the sweet corn fritter, get one egg tuck bao and another, either spicy lamb or duck gaga (with barbecue plum sauce) depending on how I'm feeling. A yuzu tea on the side, hot or cold, helps everything down, and if I've got any room left, I'm always happy to order their Ottimmo profitabun - a kind of pastry-bao hybrid filled with chocolate sauce and ice cream. I don't write reviews often, but the world is better with Ottimmo in it and I need you all to go and eat there. Last winter, there was a fire that took them out of business for a few days, and I thought they were closed for good... I could have cried. Ottimmo forever. Give them your money.

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was quick but seating is limited so I highly recommend to book ahead if you want to dine during peak hours to avoid disappointment. The Japanese soft shell crab bao bun was my favourite Bao in comparison to the oyster mushroom Bao. The bao was really soft and we enjoyed every bite. The size of the bao is excellent for the price, you get one piece per plate. The spicy lamb rice bowl was really flavourful and paired perfectly with the sticky rice. The rice bowl also had fried fritters, some carrots and broccoli. The lamb also had a few cashews on top and that complimented the dish really well. The green curry dish was also really delicious and had a slight heat to it which I really enjoyed. I only wished the bowl had more green curry to really enjoy the dish (the meat in the dish was more than sufficient). My suggestion is to serve the dish with just the curry and choice of meat and to provide the rice in a separate bowl. They also provide fresh juices and I would recommend the apple and carrot juice. Overall I really enjoyed this place and would come back to try other dishes.

I was disappointed with what you get for what you pay. Soup was made of thick noodles and few brocoli pieces, that's around 10£, couldn't eat it, ordered tempura prawn for additional couple pounds and got two tempuras made or butter, almost no prawn. Didn't work for me. In central London you can get much better options with plenty of more expensive and nutritious ingredients for exactly same price.

As one who eats out every day to avoid the expense of home cooking I consider myself an authority on well-cooked meals & good service & I am pleased to say that this small restaurant in Windsor Street, Uxbridge offers both & that their standard has always been maintained. The staff are helpful & polite & the meals are plentiful & well-cooked & they also cater for special needs. The prices are in line with other places in & around Uxbridge. They are also able to make room for people when all the tables are taken up & in the times I have been there many people have been willing to return a little later which is always a good sign of happy customers. Since discovering it in September 2018, we've been back several times and it's a firm favourite! “Bao” means Bun in Chinese and this little unassuming eaterie has taken it upon itself to make a feature of the “Bao” experience and introduce it to this little North West suburb of London. Baos come on their on its own or as a meal with an Ottimmo Miso Nutty Salad (cucumber, apple, cauliflower, quinoa, edamame and red onions and is topped with an egg) or a Wafu Salad with Pine Nuts (a vinaigrette dressing with pine nuts, quinoa, red onion and sesame.) and Sweet Potato Chips - these are totally addictive and moreish. I also loved the theatre behind my Flower Blooming Tea. Everything bursts with flavour and yet is so incredibly healthy that it's the one place I can eat out and feel like I'm doing my body good! More than that, prices are extremely reasonable! I literally cannot sing its praises enough!

This is one of those cute little Asian places that has sushi items on a conveyor belt running past your table in color-coded bowls. They also have a standard non-sushi menu, from which I ordered a delicious chicken yakitori with sriracha mayo. The price seemed reasonable. My only gripes are with the number of spaces they attempt to pack into a tiny area, leading to lots of elbow-bumping with your neighbors, and the comically inadequate size of the napkin you get with your meal.
