Oswalds Cross Table Table in Shropshire

Unfortunately the night we used the Oswald’s they had a very limited choice of vegetarian food due to a menu change. However the staff did their best to accommodate our needs, they even made their own garlic bread for my daughter which they did not charge us for.

Friendly staff but terrible food

Excellent meal tonight had 8oz Rump Steak with peppercorn sauce wife had a Chicken pie . Service was super quick and very efficient. What's more with drinks and a pudding for the wife it only cost £ 12.50 as we used our Tasty Rewards points 😊 Well done all

Called in for lunch on our way back home from our holiday. Food was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend. Well definitely call in again next time we're in the area.

Nice place but they Don't allow dogs (they said the description needs updating on the web) . So we sat outside with the flies

Couldn't fault anything. Service was fantastic, staff were so helpful and accommodating with the wheelchair we had. Food was so reasonable, we had the lunch menu. 2 meals and 2 soft drinks cost us £15. Will definitely return.

Been to Table Table restaurants before and all are of the same standard. Excellent. Food, cooked perfect as is the service. The decor is warm and cosy. Prices very reasonable as well. Another visit to Oswalds Cross, on arrival shown to our table by a polite waiter. Our order taken in reasonable time, and again enjoyed the good standard of food. Oswalds Cross has a very nice atmosphere, well designed interior, giving each table some privacy. Will keep coming back again and again.

Staff really lovely and attentive

Stayed nearby, cooked breakfast lacks flavour, bacon rubbery, sausage cooked but Luke warm, beans luke warm, fried egg over cooked even black pudding lacked lustre , it's fuel for hungry people not food you could enjoy, Continental breakfast orange juice looks watered down, toasters slow large queue. Be better to go to the dinner down the road.

Excellent food and the best service ever

We were told to leave 30 minutes before closing time, despite having just been served a drink and told that last orders were in 15 minutes. We were called "bloody idiots" by a staff member because he was due back on shift in 6 hours for breakfast and "didnt want to be there anymore". They stated that management had changed the opening hours, but there's been no updates on their website or Google. As a resident of the hotel next door we were very disappointed, and have been put off going back for breakfast/food for the rest of our stay. Otherwise the place is comfortable and reasonably priced, but we were very upset with the service received.

Superb range of meals, excellent value for money. As a gluten free diner, I felt totally safe here. The staff are knowledgeable and understand the importance of avoiding cross contamination and there's a separate fryer which is great. Fabulous service and a wide range of choices. Highly recommended

Lovely place, very friendly and helpful staff, very good with our noisy children and the food is always very nice.

First of all the menu is small, nothing like what is shown online when downloading the menu. They used to have special seasonal menus but doesn't seem.the case any more, it is a poor selection. We booked a table for 4.45 for Sunday lunch, it served from 12 until 6pm, however notified they were not serving any longer. Quite disappointing, the place was dead, apart from.a table behind us full of rowdy blokes insistent on swearing as loud as they could, whilst sat with children to eat in a family friendly environment. We were moved upon request.Food was below par, average bland and expensive for what it is. Spent 70 pound between 3 of us, 1 drink 2 starters and a main each. Value for money I think not, never again unfortunately.

Won't be going again!...the third time now they have had no fish..why?...it was a Saturday lunchtime surely they would be stocked up...had something else wish I had of left earlier

Usual food for Premier Inn but extremely good value, especially if using the meal deal. Booking is essential. We enjoyed all the choices we had and service was friendly.

Very good pub grub. Tikka very well received. Need a bit of music on instead of a TV channel. Amendment to the review after the complete farce at breakfast the following morning. Complete lack of staff support and management at breakfast. Booked for 9am. Tables dirty. Too many people, clearly not enough staff. Actually felt sorry for the overworked and obviously stressed out front of house bloke . Sitting people, taking orders, clearing tables. Unachievable. 20 mins after sitting down, had to find this guy who was literally running around trying to keep up, to take our order. Finally left the restaurant 65 mins after sitting down. Please look at the staffing levels at breakfast as this is letting you down bigtime. Other guests obviously were not happy and totally unfair to the overworked team.

Waited ages to take the order waited ages for the food to come out wife’s food was red hot my pie was still very cold and un cooked in middle waited another half hour still never replaced my meal

First time visit and was quite impressed 👍. Decent menu and reasonably priced. Avoid steaks! The rump was tough but my family and friends had no complaints. Very good service at the bar and table. Looking forward to going back. Was quiet for an early Saturday night but it was 23rd December.

Twice 8 have been here now and was just hoping the first time was a mishap but I won't be visiting again, wasn't that busy yet had to wait to be seated - to a sticky table, I had to go looking for staff to order a drink and food - staff wasn't sure if vegetarian food was cooked separately from meat - partners food served that hot could have caused burns yet wasn't warned that it was behond boiling point- no Sunday roast available on the Sunday. Last time I went a lady on table opposite was served Sunday dinner was told she would have to wait a futher 10mins for gravey with her dinner after 10 mins the daughter went to look for staff to ask where the gravey was were told to wait a little longer - after 20minutes staff returned to advise there would be no gravey - this should have been told before they even ordered - very disappointing place will not recommend or visit again !

Well what can i say, staff were fantastic, food was lovely, worth every penny, enjoyed it that much we went for breakfast the next morning! Guys and girls keep up the hard work it was amazing

Good food in nice surroundings and being well looked after.

Booked in advance a table of 8. Waited quite a while after being seated for somebody to come and take an order for drinks. The server kept returning saying they were out of drinks we had ordered that were on the menu (Not his fault but still annoying). Same with the food order, had to change our order a few times as they were out of things we had chosen. A few dishes came out missing their sides such as the coleslaw and the side salad, so we had to ask for these. The waiter kept returning every five minutes to see if we were finished, so we felt a bit rushed.. and started clearing plates of the people that were finished eating, leaving my elderly grandad eating alone.. Food was decent, but the service could definitely be improved, although all the staff are very young so it’s somewhat understandable!

Pleasant staff. Our order was 'overlooked' and we had a bit of a wait as a result. However, we were offered free drinks and a discount off our meal. The waitress was very polite and courteous.

For info, this pub does not allow dogs inside. We just called to book a table and contrary to reviews, dogs are only allowed outside.

Came for a quick bite to eat with my son today. Got greeted by Alfie on the door and shown to our table, Alfie was smartly dressed, polite and helpful. Both Alfie and Shannon were very accommodating throughout our visit answering any questions we had about the menu and both making personal recommendations. The Food came out hot and plenty of it which is always good to see. We Will definitely return and recommend to family and friends.

The food was excellent all week. The staff were brilliant especially Jade, Kelsey and Sarah, who were humorous, friendly and professional at all times. They were the main reason we ate there every day.

Great breakfasts and amazing hospitality

Went for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the food. Lots of choice and reasonably priced. What really stood out for us was the attitude of our waitress, Kelsey. She was so lovely and attentive even thought she had been working since early that morning.

The burger was average but overpriced fish and chips was well worth the money lasagne is tasty but I tried to find some pasta in it but failed miserably

This is a beautiful restaurant they was a little busy chef Andrew came out to help which meant I got real recommendations

They would really benefit from hiring a chef, because their food quality and presentation was pathetic, very cheap produce. The cooked breakfast was painful, it all looked felt and tasted microwaved, soggy black pudding. The dinners were bland overcooked and dry, felt like they'd been under heat lamps for far too long. Sorry, but I've never tasted food as bad as this ever. The wait on staff are fantastic though. Helpful, polite and generally very pleasant.

Had a meal there this Sunday evening. Alfie an Kirsty who served us were fantastic, very professional and couldn't have done more for us, which made the whole experience very enjoyable. The food was excellent and served promptly so well done to the whole team. See you soon.

Terrible microwaved food, vegetarian sausages had hard bits, 2 star rating as some of it was edible, mash potato stuck together in places, and vegetables are worse than hospital food! The toilets resemble portaloos after a festival, they're disgusting. Staff are nice enough though.

Staff couldn't do enough to take care of us. One of the best customer service I have had in a long time. I would throughly recommend the service at this restaurant.

We waited fir ever to get served, then eventually when it arrived the food was poor. After the main meal we were asked if we wanted a pudding. We said yes, waited an hour and no one turned up to get our order . Then we went to pay and waited 30 mins.

We stopped off here on our way back from Liverpool. The staff were not all that welcoming and service was slow considering it was not all that busy and a Tuesday afternoon. Our food arrived and was well presented, warm and edible. Some staff were more engaging with customers than others. It was not great service but was functional for our needs to rest and refuel.

Awful, do not recommend. I booked to go here for my birthday meal, with a party of 15. Firstly when ordering drinks, i ordered two cocktails in their 2 for 10 deal, both the passionfruit martini and the strawberry daiquiri were warm and tasted like it was pre-made which was a shame. All of the party arrived on time and two waiters came to take our orders, the waiting staff were polite and friendly. Firstly, half of the party received their food before the other, as though the two waiters put In two separate orders, so we weren't all able to start eating at the same time which was a shame. Once all of the food did come, everyone had an issue. The turkey dinners were bland and tasteless, the vegan bacon on the burgers was burnt and inedible, the steak was again burnt and over cooked, the veggie hot dot was dry and chips were all cold. Having all having an issue with the quality of the food we raised this with the waiting staff to which in all fairness, they explained that we would not be charged for the food due to the issues faced, from their response, this seems like something that happens often. This ruined my birthday celebrations, we were left hungry and disappointed. We will not be returning, and recommend that you avoid. If staying in the Premier inn, there's a kFC just round the corner :)

Sadly, I had a very poor experience here on Sunday afternoon. We were 14 people celebrating a 20th birthday. We were split over 2 tables, which was disappointing in the first place. My son ordered a side order that arrived as a starter. We all had to wait for our food until he'd finished as it was a 'starter'. When the food arrived, it was either under cooked or burnt. I had a vegan burger with fake bacon. The fake bacon was burnt to a crisp and inedible. My chips were luke warm. My other son had a vegetarian hot dog, but ordinary vegetarian sausages were used, not vegetarian hot dog sausages, and the bread roll was hard and stale. Small portions too. No one enjoyed their meal as something was either cold, stale, burnt, or tasteless. We didn't pay. Have had good meals there a year ago, so I'm very disappointed. Won't be back.

Sent there clean shaven for some food. I had grown a beard by the time my food turned up. Beard had turned grey by the time dessert turned up. Food was amazing though, shame about the service.
