McDonald's in Shropshire

We live in a world nowadays where we are just expected to put up with terrible quality overpriced goods and Mcdonalds really is one of the worst offenders! Went here to give my daughter a little treat in her holidays ordered pancakes and maple syrup,I'm was given golden syrup then when I had the cheek to ask where was the maple syrup, oh sorry we have run out. Turns out the pancakes were stone cold so took them back and had to get a fresh order, second one came out with maple syrup?? Joke of a place

Nice building, unclear/confusing carpark layout. Staff seemed trained to prioritise drive-thru customers over inside. 5 cars went past before inside customers was served, waited 10mins despite and all 3 inside customers waiting for food had not been served.

Didn't eat, but good EV charging

Had to wait 20min for my food, then it was cold. No attempt to apologise when I ask why it had taken so long and ask why it was cold.

Convenient while shopping no space to park on our lunchtime visit, but a quick walk from Sainsbury's carpark. Has had a renovation recently .

Sat at the drive thru speaker for about 12 minutes before driving away. No one bothered.

Ordered a plain chicken wrap as daughter is allergic to milk so couldn’t have the ceased sauce, it came with everything on including the ceased sauce, tried to ring but guy said he couldn’t hear me so got home(live 15 miles away) and now no answer or gets cut off, fuming

Used this McDonald’s twice over the past two days. Once drive thru, once in store, both at around 00:30-01:00. Both experiences were excellent. Fast and efficient, very friendly staff which you don’t always get everywhere, and all food was fresh and of good quality. I’m impressed by this McDonald’s, it appears to be one of the best!!

Very quick and amazing food quality. Lots of parking available. Staff friendly and helpful with children, bringing our crayons and paper to colour whilst waiting for food.

Poor service poor food temperature 🌡️ and they missed 2 cheeseburgers off our meal. This is a new refurbished restaurant so you would not think they would be that poor 😫 Half drinks were supplied and service was terrible... Sort it out McDonald's

Fries were cold and burger was tepid.

Despite it being rather busy the service was quick and food came hot and fresh. Toilets were clean.

The times we've been there after the new work done to it the service is terribly slow and they always get our orders wrong.

I've been coming to this mcdonalds for 10+ years and not once have they got it wrong. Until now....my first visit since the refurb and I'm really shocked. Staff rude very unorganised got my food wrong and have also told me I cannot change a burger and add things on ie pickles and sauce....which was never an issue before this. I'm so disappointed.

Recently reopened after a major refurb, the good got better 👍

Lady who served me my food at drive-through window was incredibly rude.

Clean and quick. Got served at the till with no problems.

Fills a gap. Sadly food is generally tepid, anaemic, bland and poorly presented. I only visit when there is no other option.

The new refit is awful and the food wasn't much better won't be rushing back

Fries cold one cheeseburger missing

Honestly never waited so long for food in any restaurant ever! There was a cleaner mopping the floor where the workers were getting the food ready and whilst I stood there 2 people slipped on the floor. Not ideal. Waited 25 minutes for our food which was wrong and then half of it was freezing by the time the right food arrived. Not quite fast food anymore.... but still, everyone loves a maccies!!

On the last two occasions I have ordered a double Big Mac meal from McDonald’s, Meole Brace, Shrewsbury and on both occasions when I got the meal home there has only been a normal Big Mac in the bag, but in a double Big Mac box, tried calling but no one ever answers the phone. Won’t abe using this McDonald’s ever again Really… how difficult can it be ???

Just the job when you want something quick.

New design is a disaster. Cramped screens too close to the door causing chaos. Tall tables and booths replaced with small chairs ( like primary school). Fixed table's way to close together for comfort. Outside tables are good however, would rather travel across town to properly fitted out McDonald's

Looks good after the revamp ,staff happy and helpful

Firstly, it is sited on the Meole Brace retail park which incredibly poorly designed, making the entire complex a nightmare to visit and particularly difficult to leave. Long queues are frequent, almost obligatory. Avoid. Secondly, this McDonalds was recently "refurbished" as it was poor, even by the very low standards you expect. It is now worse. It is cramped, the service is slow, which I suspect is more to do with the facilities than the staff. The interior and decor is about as welcoming as cattle pen. Depressing.

I’m appalled by this worker called Dan , my freind was teaching me how to whistle and whilst doing so Dan was bringing food to our table , he proceded to tell us in an aggressive manner , don’t whistle at me I am not a dog mate we explained we wasn’t and he was being rude and placed our order onto our table next to us. To add to this awful experience the food was dreadful , my double quarter pointed looked like it had been stamped on by an elephant but tasted decent tbf like , Dan just ruined the experience

Very busy due to Bike4Life so food took a little while longer than usual but at least it was freshly prepared. Not all of our order arrived at the same time but better than a number of other, poor McDonalds I've had to eat in.

This one closes at 10pm which is crazy considering you probably have a huge amount of people wanting food after a Theatre Severn show! Anyway got here about 9.45 pm, needed to use the toilet. Absolutely revolting. No toilet paper, floors filthy with urine and dirt, it stank too. Just because you're closing at 10pm doesn't mean you can skip on not restocking and cleaning the toilets! Also off putting was a group of young teens just sat/stood on the furniture not even eating. Really intimidating and off-putting. Food was OK, luke warm but then most Mcdonalds these days are served warm!

Tanoy systems are shocking depending on what lane you're in.not so fast food

Had 3 for £3 deal fairly tasteless 4 nuggets, mini chips and burger, jut by the time u have brought a drink it's not a deal buy a kids meal and a burger or nuggets separate works out cheaper ,the place was dirty bins always full and staff have no idea what or who's doing what

Stopped of here for lunch whilst driving. Missed item from takeaway order, fries were cold despite waiting 20 minutes for order, so not my best mcdonalds experience. They do however have inside and outside seating.

Had to wait 6+ minutes until I went to ask for the single drink I had ordered.

3 staff including manager don't understand the £2.79 breakfast deal. Left me sitting at the drive through order point while they tried to get their heads around my order. After listening to a conversation about drugs through the order point speaker (the intercom was not muted) the manager came back to me and told me it was an " on app offer only" I know this to be wrong as I have enjoyed the offer at several other branches. I was asked to drive to the next window, did so and explained the offer was displayed at the branch on an illuminated sign.The 3 staff continued to display their complete incompetence. I drove away.

Large chips....what a joke. Cold burgers and flat coke. Used to like this McDonalds but gone down hill.

It's McDonald's so my standards are low. It's as I expected, pretty poor, grim food and zero atmosphere. But the staff are friendly and try their best.

Worst McDonald's food anywhere Ive been! Fries always cold,even when I asked for replacement, they were cold too! Always something missing from order and long waiting time.

It's a clean restaurant but the car park is very confusing

The chips here are always served cold and looking rather sad. The 'cold' drinks often arrive lukewarm and never with any ice. Many menu items will not be available, no matter what time of day you arrive. This has been going on for years and I have no idea why no improvements have been made. Put simply: this is one of the worst McDonalds for food I have ever visited. If you have time to go round to the Battlefield, Shrewsbury branch then definitely do it!

Great atmosphere, table service was excellent with a variety of souses available front he kangaroo pocket. Flags given away for kids. Amazing place

Ordered at 2332 a flat white and i recieved it at 2352 what an absolute joke and the fries were cold as well !!!!! Awful won't be coming here unless going through the drive through as they seem to prioritise it !!!

If I could give less stars I would. Never get the order correct and food is cold. Don't know why I bother ordering

Food - Drink was UNBLENDED and had some salty brown goo at the bottom of the drink Service - One lane had a 5 minute wait while the other cars were just breezing through on the other lane This was a truly terrible experience and made me and my mother very unhappy.

I had a McPlant meal, it was literally thrown together.

The fries were cold and floppy by the time I had walked 50 yards back to my van. The burger is definitely 2/3rds the size of what they used to be. However the coffee is nice, and good value, compared to Costa or Starbucks.

Usual McDonald's menu with the usual McDonald's service. Mostly good but sometimes really poor, the staff at this store seem poorly trained and impatient... they often forget to give out the receipt, miss items out of orders and somebody recently put bacon in a veggie burger!!

Sometimes Maccys breakfast can be very hit and miss. I was really hungry and this hit the mark. Food was hot and served quickly. Toffee latte was just what the doctor ordered

Been here twice,and my order was short on both occasions,the second time I rung and complained and was given a code to collect the rest of my order the next time I went,,that wont be happening,it wasn't a shipping order ,how hard can it be,unfortunately mcdonald's is notorious for this.

The best chicken mayo in my life . I've been there before. Fast service. Not busy at 1am - 2am o'clock .

Food was cold, didn't have any dips, the food was literally it was thrown into the paper bag, wasn't happy, On our next visit, I informed one of the shift leaders who didn't seem interested, not sure we will be going there soon..

It's a McDonald's... what I will say is the service is good & quick. Place badly needs a good refurb now though.

Food is pretty good here by McDonalds standards. Never had to wait too long unlike some other locations and the staff do a decent job of keeping the seating area clean. Would recommend.

Overall it was a typical visit to McDonalds. I haven’t been in years. First up we used the bathrooms. Had to wait as was being cleaned. That’s good to see. What wasn’t good… the long wait for the disabled toilet. This wasn’t an issue really as people may take a long time… but then an employee exited. Clearly hadn’t washed his hands. Was too quick once the toilet flushed, he was out. Basin was dry. Ugh 😑 🤮 No whipped butter for the pancakes!!

As usual my food was up to standard, good value for money and pleasant staff.

It seems strange reviewing old Mackie Dees because you would think they are all the same... However you can tell if people can be bothered or not.... It took three attempts to get a coffee that was warm!!! Fair enough if it was super busy but it wasn't. There was no need at all to pre make drinks.... Just make a blooming fresh one when required and try to get it to them within five minutes...... Not too much to ask... Surely!!!!!

Went on my 1st solo journey to Shrewsbury and had a McDonald's ordered a quarter pounder with cheese burger meal with a apple pie on the screen got my order they didn't give me my Apple pie because apparently they didn't have any and to top it all off the food wasn't much better not impressed definitely not going there again

Meal ok drink was a hot chocolate 1st one Stone cold 2nd all water no chocolate so had a soft drink in the end but wonted A hot one really chips were greesy and not salted never mind still made our 175mile journey home to a nice warm brew 😀

It's one of the better Mac's because of the staff ! Cheerful and helpful. Place is kept clean. The music could improve though ! How's about something for us oldies !

I have had many bad experiences here.. some staff behave in a very harsh manner.. especially at night time.. have to wait for hours to get order.. even if the staff just stand there.. I have had many bad experiences..

Myself and my dad have just came to this McDonalds on our return journey from Somerset to Liverpool at 8:20pm on 16/03/24. Staff were extremely friendly and food was hot enough that I could have sworn I felt a blister form.

I've had better . Normally not too bad, but this time the plant burger tasted tasted like a burnt tray. Asked for no onions , got onions. It was too busy to complain! Won't be first choice next time.

Always seem to have issues with this particular McDonald’s. Today I ordered food at 9pm so they shouldn’t be busy at that time and the food arrived stone cold so I’m guessing as soon as the order came through they made the food and then wait 30 minutes for it to be collected and by the time it gets to me it’s cold. The other day I ordered some apple pies and McFlurry’s and the apple pies arrived cold which shows how long they took to be delivered as everyone knows they are like molten lava when they are cooked fresh and retain there heat for a long time and the McFlurry’s were melted which was great… They really need to come up with a better system for deliveries. Every time I get a delivery from Burger King it always arrives hot! I’m guessing they always make the food fresh when it’s going out for a delivery….

The worst mcdonald’s I’ve ever been to waiting in drive thru for 15 mins then asked the drinks window for straws they ignored me then went to the second window got my food and said can you put ketchup and straws in the bag and they said yeah yeah they’re already in there, left mcdonald’s with 1 burger missing, other items couldn’t be more wrong, fries like they had been sat there since last christmas and no straws or sauce , all the staff doing sweet F A in the back instead of focusing on their job. needs serious employee training

Food is always good and service is fast but even if it isn't then it's perfectly understandable as when a place is buys its good so willing to wait a bit longer for food. Some customers don't understand that and get annoyed and mouthy - clearly have either never worked in retail food or never have worked...

If you like McDonald's food it's top marks for this one in Shrewsbury, spotlessly clean and lovely staff 👍

Took 30 minutes for the order to be ready. Cold. Items missing. Get items replaced and new hot drinks... Half full drinks. Restaurant was messy, especially in the kitchen. Plus they don't even assemble burgers. They just throw it into a box and hope that people don't complain.

Super handy for the residents of Shrewsbury when you need food in the middle of the night!

McDonald's are the same wherever you are going in England. The only real difference is the service you received. What's with the short measure of the milk shakes at the moment, the cups have a line showing how much drink should be in but lately I find they are way below this line. Not good service in my book. If there is a 15% saving on every milk shake this adds up in favour of the company. The food was lovely but not very warm

Honestly, nothing too wrong with the service so much, this is a critique of the menu, there doesn't seem to be any full sugar options in the fizzy drinks section, not sure if this is a new policy or they just ran out. I'm more inclined to think it's some new policy but I have a question for you McDonald's. Do you think I come to eat at your restaurant for healthy food? I work in the hospital and all the drinks there are "Zero" sugar, that makes sense. It does not make sense in your restaurants to supply only sugar free drinks, give people the option but don't make it mandatory. I have spoken to dozens of people who are equally annoyed and confused by this odd decision. I guess I just won't bother having a meal anymore.

Food is often a little bit cold , staff not always friendly. Good choice of food though , offers often good value for money.

I delivered food through Uber eats. The lady who gives parcel was so serious and gave me wrong items. My customer was really not happy with my delivery just because of their worst service.

Last 6 times we've gone through the drive through its been missed items on the order. We live in the sticks (20 min out) so going back is not an option. Their customer service is an emailbot that sends back copy pasted platitudes and you won't even get a refund on the missing item. I'm done.
