we had the pleasure to have Filippo as a server, he was very kind and helpful in our dining experience. The food was amazing, as an italian I don’t remember the last time I had such good pasta. 100% recommended would come back!

Went there this week for my boyfriend birthday and it was just amazing, excellent costumer service and food tastes as an Italian nonna’s would cook. I feel bad for finding about osteria romana existence just few days ago. Def my favourite Italian restaurant in London

I had a wonderful experience here. Always wanted to try good Italian pasta but didn't know which one to pick and also which wine to pair it with. Tano helped me picked the pasta and wine according to my preferences and it was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Delicious, truly genuine Italian cuisine (Mamma Mia! ;). It feels like you are suddenly in a heart of Italy. Service- Italian, candid, full of joy. Highly recommended.

Hidden away from the main streets, they offer a quiet relaxing location to dine in. We went in for lunch, and they had available tables. It was not so busy and we were seated right away. Their food is very authentic Roman and uses the same pasta textures. However, while we came in earlier, all the other diners that came after us, received their food first as the waiters took a very long time to get to our tables to take our orders. Its not a very big restaurant, u can see the entire dining hall plus the service area with a corner of an eye. So, we were seated in an obvious place, seems like there were choices made in which table gets their attention instead of the routine of first come first serve. Is it my typical Asian thinking? Up you to decide.

Absolutely a hidden italian gem in the heart of Knightsbridge and Upper Hyde Park. I must say, this is the first time I rate with 5-star in all categories. Food- Authentic regional ingredients sourced weekly from Italy demonstrates Italy receipes by heart. From Oxtail Ragu, Pork Cheek, porcini, Pecorino, truffle, ricotta, amongst others, the authenticity of regional ingredients can be tasted in the dishes of the house. House Recommendation: Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe with Truffle in Peccorino Wheel- An absolutely pleasure if you are truly hungry. Is not going to be light and is not going to be healthy but is going to be flavour aboundant. Recomend to try the gelatos instead of the classic tiramisu, for the change Service was stunning. I had an issue with my booking and had to reschedule, they solve for me availability and offer an alternative. Then I asked to add additional guests and they solve and finally; had guests joining late and they were respectful and mindful with change of plans never pushing the table to leave and actually suggesting ordering at different moments if needed. Ambience: very reflaxed, familiar and maintains the tradition. This is not a very flashy place and in fact the level of casual environment makes it even more pleasant. Price: £50per person. I believe was justified for the portions, area and quality. This is not a fine dining place, but given ingredients are sourced regionally and preparation is not simple, price is fair. Booking needed, small place not ideal for big groups. Have a terrace where you can sit and eat if weather allows. Kitchen was still open until 10pm in week days.

The food is really good, for an Italian out it's a bit like being in Italy... Congratulations especially to the Italian waiter who welcomed us very well despite having no reservation, giving us the largest table and offering us great help on how to get around London.

Meh.. Was there on a Sunday afternoon. Food was OK, I had the carbonara, nothing special. Bread was OK, sallad was OK too, again, nothing special. 3/5. Service was unattentive, probably based on the casual clothes I had on. I got seated in front of the kitchen door so there was a lot of running around me, even though there were plenty of other seats which would have given me some tranquility. And to top it all of: £4,5 for still water. Still water. £4,5. Read that again. Should have complained but I didn't in the end. Not coming back, not recommending this to anyone.

I was craving some down-to-earth Italian food and Osteria Romana hit the spot. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara - the sauce was well-balanced, the pork cheek flavorful, and the pasta was al dente. And the portion was generous! I had a good laugh with Fabrizio, one of my servers, who also brought me a shot of limoncello on the house to finish out the night. Needless to say the man knows what he’s doing. Enjoyed my experience - hope to be back soon!

This could easily be one of the best Carbonaras I’ve ever had—even compared to ones I’ve tried in Italy. An amazing place with super friendly staff and a true Italian atmosphere that really reflects the culture. The Cacio e Pepe is also excellent. Highly recommend this spot. I’ve already been 3–4 times and will definitely be coming back!

This restaurant is amazing. We ended up coming twice in 3 days. This is the best Italian food I have ever had. Our server Michael was absolutely incredible. He recommended wines and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Wish they would open a store in Australia and Michael would come.

Lovely authentic Romanesque food, artfully presented! Very kind servers who are happy to explain dishes and recommend to our taste. Fabrizio was an amazing server and very knowledgeable about the menu. As tourists, we were happy to discover mostly - if not all - locals and a casual but beautiful setting. Recommended to us by both Frommers and Rick Steves London travel guides.

The restaurant is small, so you need to make a reservation in advance and in case you are not in the day of the reservation there is a charge of £40 each person. I did order Spaghetti Carbonara, Smashed Potatoes and Steamed Spinach. The spaghetti given it was with beacon, the pasta was extremely salty and the portions are very huge. I did enjoy the steamed spinach but the pasta not really. The environment is ok, the service is excellent. This was my experience and it doesn’t mean the restaurant is bad, there is a reason it has good reviews and an excellent rate.

After the walk through Notthing Hill Market and Harrods we were welcomed very kindly, excellent food and fair price for London, the service charge £17 excessive. Very nice place.

An authentic corner of Rome in the heart of London! We went to the Osteria Romana and were thrilled: a warm environment, exquisite and authentic dishes, it really feels like being in Trastevere. A special applause to Fabrizio, our waiter, who made the experience even more special: professional, very kind and with that all-Italian friendliness that makes you immediately feel at home. I highly recommend this tavern to those looking for real flavors and impeccable hospitality. We will definitely be back!

A corner of Rome in London. Fantastic food, great wine and impeccable service. Thanks to Nikon and the owners. If you are in the area, have no doubts, this is the place to go!!! From the parmigiana, to the amatriciana to the Lavazza coffee to the Cesanese, everything was perfect!!!

EXTRAORDINARY Great discovery. It felt like being at home!! From the welcome, to the basket of hot bread, to the dishes made at the highest qualitative, quantitative and visual level... up to the coffee (a great coffee), not to mention the stratospheric home made tiramisu.

What a amazing find, we had just arrived in London and did a quick Google search, saw the reviews and popped by, at just after 5pm we were able to grab the last table that not booked until 10pm! So make a reservation! The service was impeccable, friendly and reminded us of the family restaurants we enjoyed in Italy. The food was delicious, fresh, homemade full of taste! We will be coming back for sure!

A beautiful evening in a home environment, it felt like being in Italy, and then what can we say about the service... David was a very kind and knowledgeable person. We took Cacio e pepe, Gricia and some side dishes, one word….fantastic…..I tried the cacio e pepe. If we return to London it will be a fixed stop.

We dined here last night, and I can confidently say their homemade spaghetti was the best I’ve had in my 40+ years on this earth. I ordered the black truffle spaghetti, and the flavor was beyond decadent—absolutely unforgettable. My wife had the carbonara, and it was out of this world. Every bite was perfectly balanced and full of rich, comforting flavor. The service was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. This place is a true gem. We’ll absolutely be back!

We had Beef Tartare, Truffle Cacio Pepe, Veal meatballs and oxtail. Nothing was spectacular. The restaurant vibe is average. Wine is marked up 3x. If you’re from a big city, you probably won’t find this place to be anything special.

The place was amazing and made us feel very comfortable straight away. All the people working there were super friendly and always there to help you with anything you need. Everything came on time. The pasta that we tried was the best pasta I’ve had in London and I’ve been to many restaurants before. 👏👏👏

Got kicked out after 1.5h. have never been to an Italian restaurant where you had to speed eat. We did want desert but they told us we are out of time. Didn't even get to finish our bottle of wine. For the price we paid this is unacceptable. Place is a great tourist trap but if you want an authentic Italian experience ...this is not it. Americans will love this place though

We did not manage to finish our food nor wine because we got kicked out as the 1:30h of the booking had passed, even though we spent 85£ each. We had barely finished the main dish, I asked for dessert but they said we ran out of time and they were sorry but we had to leave. You need to be able to eat all courses at a restaurant, especially an Italian, and especially such an expensive one!! I am Italian and this is not what you expect in an Italian restaurant, come on.

So today we had a very disappointing dinner. We had a hair in the dish. Bad experience. The employee’s apologised, replace the dish, but haven’t remove the dish from the receipt. No any discount, or something like that to treat customer. Drinks were good.

Very themed place with Italian music. Truly delicious food but with really high prices compared to a Roman tavern, but let's remember that being in London everything is proportionate to the life here. Super polite, professional and friendly staff (don't worry if you have difficulty with English because they also speak Italian). Very suitable for birthday celebrations, anniversaries etc.

Awful customer service, showing rudeness at its best! We initially had made the reservation online for five people, however, a friend decided to join us! We received the following response, not offering a solution that will assist us sorting out the issue: “ We cannot change the reservation and this is not our problem. It is your fault and you should have made the reservation for six people from the beginning. You will be charged the cancellation fees.” Having worked in the hospitality and restaurants’ sector for more than 16 years that attitude is unacceptable, nonetheless. Thank you for being honest and proving that you do not actually need Guests. The purpose of my comments, is helping restaurants improve and get better. Hopefully, this would be just a bad example and guests will not be treated as such, so forth.

I did not expect to find an authentic Italian experience down a quant alleyway in London. And then I found Osteria Romana! From them accommodating us with no reservation to the service and most to the food! Fresh and delicious. I feel like an Italian food afficionado and this is added to my list. Buon cibo!
