When we arrived when we had decided what we wanted to ear it seemed to take a good 10 minutes for the waiter to take our orders; we asked for cutlery instead of chop sticks; the waiter said they didn't have any knives so I asked him for one and explained we would need one each then he came back with some more. After that the starters came and then instead of asking us if we wanted some time in between courses they came with the main courses straight away which meant there wasn't enough room on the tables for both of the dishes. In the meantime I went to ask for some more water only for me to be given a bottke but had to ask rhe lady for a glass; I asked for glasses for the table; I said we wanted about 8 but they only gave us a few. Then when we were waiting to pay the lady changed her mind about if we could pay at the till or not. So the food was nice but some of it came late but thr service wasn't very good

This place is amazing. The food outstanding. We found this place after being told about it by friends. The staff are fabulous, friendly and no matter your order they don't write it down the remember it all. Saw someone say the staff are rude they absolutely are not but of you are rude to them don't expect them to be nice to you have some respect!! Manners cost. Nothing x

We go here each time we are in Sale. This visit included our beer eight year old grandson. It’s cafe style and no frills. So for under £30 we got three lunch deals, 2 Coca Cola, a miso soup, a vegetable tempura and a fish tempura. My choices were vegetarian and tofu based. The food was light, tasty, hot and darn good. The service is courteous and fairly prompt but do expect to wait a little while as it’s so good it can be busy. The cooks work in an open kitchen so it’s all very animated behind the counter. It’s a great place even for discerning near 8 year olds.

What a gorgeous lunch we have just had and so so cheap. We had the chicken Gyozas which were the nicest we have ever had. I had the Katsu, my husband had the vermicelli and our teenager had the sweet n sour chicken with rice. All amazing. We will be back.

Ordered a takeaway from here via uber eats and the food was absolutely incredible. We had chicken gyoza to start then salmon and tuna maki as well as sea bass nigiri. Will definitely reorder!

After having good meals in the past tonights dishes were really poor. My sons chicken dish completely over cooked and looked very unappetizing, hardly any chicken just brittle crumb coating, my miso soup not good at all ...a murky non descript broth with no flavour, very oily noodles and I asked for the sause to be separate from the chicken, it was not delivered that way, all in all a very poor and dissapointing meal, waste of money!..should my miso soup look like that?????..disgusting!!!

I ordered a few times from Osechi - food is spot on and lat night they even managed to beat the estimated time which was very handy as we both were absolutely starving Really big sized portions and nice presentation Oh and the delivery driver was very polite and smiley - which comes as a bonusWould recommend this place and would defo order again

Great food and a great price. Chicken Katsu was yummy, a perfect meal. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Food was ready within the time, thank you.

Usually have a very good time with Osechis but not sure if its under new management? My sushi arrived without the relevant accompaniments. I called about 6pm so let them know. He said driver would come along with it. I waited 30 minutes, with my warm dishes going cold whilst I waited. It come to 6.35 and still not arrived, so I call again (I don't live far from Sale at all) and the man on the phone was like "Oh you're waiting for soy sauce?" entirely forgetting the whole conversation we had half an hour ago. He said a driver would be there in five minutes. It took until five past 7 to finally get my sauce, by which point my hot dish had gone cold and I had lost my appetite from sheer annoyance. What should have been an easy option for dinner turned into a lot of stress. Wish I'd just have cooked! Will think twice about ordering again.

I cannot recommend Osechi enough the food arrived with 20 minutes, it was delicious the best takeaway I’ve had in ages and well worth every penny

Placed my order on the phone. All fine there. Arrived and the shutter was halfway down which seen strange. So I walked up over and ducked under and before I could even say that I had placed an order. I was rudely told to get outside and waved out. Then my order was brought over and placed on a table on the inside and to the left of the door. I understand precautions due to covid. But if some form of common sense was employed with the table placed blocking the door and not leaving the shutter down, so the place doesn't look shut. And it would avoid then being rudely ushered out. I found the chicken dumpling ramen I had was below par, overdone boiled egg. Then the sea bass nigiri. Clearly not the freshest sea bass like you would expect. Very poor. I would not reccomend the place at all

its looks rubbish from the outside but don't let that put you of the sushi is brillant it melts in your mouth you must try it

Just had nothing short of a delicious lunch and such great value. Lovely salmon hand roll (temaki) with a thick chunk of salmon and ripe avocado with picked ginger and wasabi on the side and a dish to serve myself kikkoman soy sauce. No cold, crunchy supermarket sushi here. Just soft warm rice, fresh filings and toasted nori. Best I've just in Manchester. Then had the Japanese fried udon noodle lunch special with a traditional pot of tea for £4.99. I don't mind the takeaway-meets restaurant-setting if it keeps the prices so affordable. Will be back again very soon.

This was a very disappointing takeaway. I tried to order a vegetarian vermicelli which they said couldn’t be done. I then ordered a tofu & vegetable pad Thai. What a rip off, very small amount of tofu, only vegetables was 2 pieces of spring onion & a few pieces of something green. The pad Thai chicken was the same, no vegetables and not much chicken. Katsu chicken was ok but quite a small portion. It was a very expensive, disappointing takeaway. We will not go back.

Food ordered arrived quite quickly and as planned, was piping hot and excellent quality. A bit more expensive than your average chinese takeaway perhaps but very good quality.

Our food took over 2 hours to be delivered and was cold when it arrived. Asked for a refund before the food arrived but was told only the owner could sort that out and he was no where to be seen. This was the first time we ordered from here and will definitely be the last.

Ordered a takeaway delivery from this place, waited over an hour and when I called them they said they couldn't deliver to us and hadn't even called to inform us. Extremely poor customer service, very disappointing.

Loved the food, so fresh and yummy. I only have it 4 stars because of the facilities (toilet etc). They were very basic. However the food was great and we will be back!

Go here fridays for dinner at work. The food is always fresh and piping hot. The shop doesnt look much but the food makes up for that 10 fold. Highly recommend the katsu don

We regularly go to Osechi to get a take out. Raman soup with grilled chicken, tepanyaki chicken, tempura vegetables, sushi and tofu green curryare favourites in our house! Good value for money and the food is cooked fresh in a short time.

I love the sushi as well as curries from Osechi. As someone obsessed with sushi, it is so nice to be able to get really affordable, good quality sushi in Sale. I have eaten here plenty of times and the quality is always high, service is friendly and prices are fair.

This place does a great variety of sushi and the quality is absolutely great. For the price it is the best place I have ever been. Would 100% recommend.

Really great Japanese food which is freshly made by the staff. If you go to the restaurant you can see them prepare the Sushi from Scratch. I have eaten here multiple times and never been disappointed. Easy 5 stars

We visited Osechi for the first time today and we will be definitely comming back. Food was freshly prepared as we waited and it didn't took long time although we could see that they were busy with take away orders. Please be aware that this is not a restaurant style dining place but that's perfectly fine, interior is set in minimalistic style all kept very clean (just 3 long tables with benches - which is more than enough). We choose to dine in.

Poor customer service tbh. Phoned to order told computer wasn't working so order through justeat which I prefer not to. Asked if they could write the order down and the answer was no.

We use the takeaway on a regular basis and the food is excellent. Never not hot always delivered on time and good value for money. Must have had most of the menu by now and nothing to fault at all

We have had meals from here many times. Sometimes the waiting time for delivery is ridiculous. Waited 1 hour 20mins this evening. We were a bit miffed until we started eating. Food is amazing. Healthier option for takeaway. Loved it. Will definitely order again but will either collect or order way in advance.

Little unsure as never used or eaten Japanese before. It arrived 35 minutes early and was lovely. Really tasty. Only negative was the portion size but i am greedy to be fair. The salad side was brown and not best and it seemed way hotter then one chilli but saying all that i would order again as it was beautiful.

Freshly cooked while you wait. Deliciously healthy and very tasty. Sushi ok for a land locked city. Consistently good food.

The food is good and the people are friendly but they don't have enough staff to do deliveries properly .We wait 40mins after the agreed 1hour wait and when they eventually came they missed some of the items. The guys on the phone was not helpful. I would say if you want food from here collect it yourself

Love this place for lunch food portions are a great size for the price I always get the Japanese fried rice and the nasri goreng rice (Indonesian fried rice) both are tasty! I would recommend to anyone you won't be disappointed

I ordered from Osechi twice so far and its been great. Great alternative to our usual fatty Indian - this is fresher, tastier and defo healthier. I love sushi and having you on our doorstep makes me so much happier ;-)

FINALLY a local sushi takeaway and eat in venue just minutes away from home! I've ordered from Osechis a few times now, and visited the restaurant itself for lunch. Every time the result is always the same, excellent quality food! The sushi is fantastic, so well prepared and tasty. So happy it's open!

Found this place by chance when walking around Sale. This is some of the best food I've eaten. Tasted so good, will definitley be paying another visit. We had the shared platter of sushi and I had a teriyaki chicken bento box. 10/10

This is a fantastic little cafe. Freshly prepared sushi and noodle dishes. Serves a few Thai selection also. Predominantly aimed at takeaway delivery market, basic interior but don't let this put you off. Hope they succeed with the business as it makes a change from the usual coffee shop offering. Please give it a try!!! Good value and tasty

Nice to have a japanese place in Sale. Offering something different to a kebab or rubbish pizza. Food all freshly prepared and cooked, you can really tell this by the taste. Starters were really good but felt main dish ramen noodle could have been bigger.

Always had a nice takeaway from here and they deliver. If I am trying to be good but still fancy a takeaway I will order from here. Always fresh and never greasy. Each meal Ive enjoyed.

Tried this on the recommendation of friends. We ordered takeaway for collection. Our order was being freshly made when I arrived (slightly early). I was greeted and asked to take a seat whilst I waited. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Cannot fault it and would definitely recommend.

New Japanese place with some Indonesian dishes added. Took a few takeaways from here recently. Japanese food is more than only Sushi, which this place confirms. The variety is good, service is quick and they are quite busy.

As a regular visitor i always find it 5☆, no matter what i eat. Suprisingly cheap for the quality too!

Brilliant local sushi. Had takeaways and eaten in many times. If I didn't have a mortgage I would be in everyday! Long live this brilliant sushi place!

I've had lunch here more times than I can remember. The staff are extremely accommodating. I'm a vegetarian. and the selection is vast. The vegetables are always al-dente, and very well seasoned. Highly recommended.

Been a few times now, food is always to a very high quality and served very quickly. Love this place. Unfortunately they don't accept card yet unless you order to deliver, but there are plenty of banks just outside their door for cash!

I popped in for sushi and I got all I wanted. It was delicious, the cook is friendly and the diner is quite big altough it seems a bit tiny from the outside. Everything´s clean and fresh, I can only recommend it!

We ate here for the first time last night after noticing this eatery had changed hands & cuisines again recently. They've been open about a month. It looks like they are doing well as there was a couple of people eating in & they were busy preparing numerous takeaways which seem to take priority over customers eating in. It took at least 20 minutes before we were served 2 cans of drink which we ordered when we went in. It was also a little chilly inside. I'm vegetarian & there are a lot of vegey dishes on offer which is brilliant because the local Chinese only offers one vegey meal on the menu! You can have several dishes tofu and veg dishes. We shared the vegey Gyozas filled with tofu & veg. These little dumplings are new to us, and are served with sweet chilli sauce which we needed as they were a little bkand. We also shared Agedashi tofu which is literally tofu in a plain batter. Any vegey knows that tofu doesn't really have a taste on its own & we expected a well seasoned batter. This was really bland & definitely needed the brown sauce served alongside the dish. For moans, I had Pad Thai tofu which is advertised as having peanuts, but mine didn't. It was OK. My fiancee had Nasi Goreng with tofu which was definitely the tastiest item we tried on the menu. It was really flavoursome; slightly sweet, citrusy, with loads of ginger, some red chilli, brocolli & mushrooms. This would be our recommendation to try! With 2 canned drinks, our bill was £22 exactly. I was going to pay by credit card, but as they've only been open a month, they only accept cash. They should have mentioned this when we went in, but there is a cash machine nearby.
